They haven’t even graduated from high school yet, but they’re already strutting away with top honours in the modelling world. Last weekend, Cole McNall, 17, and sisters Justine, 15, and Jessica Cummings, 13, from Anita Norris Models in London received prestigious honours at the Canadian Model and Talent
Show in Toronto. McNall and Justine Cummings won best overall male and female model, respectively, while Jessica Cummings received a prize for best photography and overall teen model. “I’m happy,” said McNall, a student at Catholic Central High School who’s been modelling for just over a year. “I worked hard for this and I’m glad I got feedback. “I’ve always known that London (and area) is a hotbed of greatlooking talent and models. It’s just chock full of good-looking people.” ANITA NORRIS, ANITA NORRIS MODELS
wanted to be a model since she was a little girl, Saturday’s event
was her first major competition. “It’s awesome. It’s pretty overwhelming, but you get used to it,” said Justine, a student at Strathroy Collegiate Institute. “And now I have that opportunity to live the dream that I’ve had for such a long time.” “It feels great. I love it,” Jessica Cummings said of her wins. She started modelling back in January, following in her sister’s footsteps. “I decided I wanted to do it (modelling) with her.”
And they’re already making waves in the fashion world: The Cummings sisters are off to a show next week in Toronto, agency owner Anita Norris said. “They have a lot of agencies that want to represent them.… There’s a frenzy right now,” she said. “(The convention) is a huge stepping stone, and for the amount of attention these kids have received, things will start rolling in. It’s sort of a snowball effect.”
