I can say she loved it more than Macedonia,” said Irena, who called her mother her best friend. “I can’t explain my feelings,” said Irena of the past week. “My body is here but inside is empty.” Jadranka’s body will be flown back to Macedonia for a funeral Sunday, but Irena and Donco can’t go back to their homeland for risk of prosecution.
