“We started manufacturing luxury headboards but we soon were being asked to create matching beds, so we created our own storage design and now we are going from strength to strength” Our concept starts with the headboard because that is usually the focal point in the room. The bed base is less of the part that is seen but just as important. Although we are an upholstery company we always start with the carpentry aspect of the piece. The upholstery element will only be as good as the framework. Our 2 lead joiners have over 50 years combined experience in joinery, and we hand manufacture everything from bed slats to covering buttons and hand threading. But it’s the extra bespoke options that our customers like. The customisation of the bed and headboard so it is really truly bespoke. One of a kind. We have over 200 personally selected fabrics from opulent velvets to comforting cottons. We offer 4 different foot styles and 4 colours.

With the different design options the combinations can seem limitless. We deliver all over the UK and we have a large client list of interior designers who know and trust our products. We also work with developers who want to add a touch of luxury to their projects. We can upholster with COM and work to bespoke designs and drawings. Based on the feedback we receive from our customers, our products exceeded their expectations. This is fundamentally important to us because we have a great deal of recommendations and repeat custom. We are an internet company and our production premises are based in the midlands so our costs and overheads are kept to a minimum. We can then pass these savings onto our customers who want a luxury item without having to pay excessive prices for a central London show room. For more information please visit our website or contact us and we will be happy to help.

Art Homes by Gérard Faivre Paris

Inspired by the creator’s vision, Gérard Faivre Paris transforms Parisian apartments and properties as ready-to-live works of art. Comfort, luxury and originality, this revolution has a name: Art Homes.

The Art Homes concept consists of creating and selling apartments decorated by Gérard Faivre as works of art. Unique To create an original work of art, Gérard Faivre takes his inspiration from the soul of each home. For

“I am neither architect, neither decorator, nor a real-estate professional.” – Gérard Faivre

Faivre, each place is simultaneously a blank page and a source of inspiration. Depending on the place’s atmosphere, the artist looks for the perfect decoration that he completes with pieces of art, tailor-made creations or vintage furniture.

9

Luxury By selecting only prestigious addresses, designer sofas and masterpiece paintings, nothing is left to chance. Quality is a must and every single detail is chosen with the utmost attention. If furnishing is his passion, renovation is his strength. Transforming old apartments into prestigious homes is one of Gerard Faivre’s main talents/ Beyond the decoration, he also chooses electronic equipment and home automation systems with careful attention. For Faivre, the cosmetic appearance is just as important as the practical aspect: an apartment is and should remain, above all else, a place to live.

Ready-to-live Between the time it takes looking for a property to acquire, then refurbishing and decorating, people often have to wait at least two years before being able to fully enjoy their new home. Gérard Faivre aims to reduce this process to a maximum of two months: this is the reason why his creations are ready-to-live in immediately. The idea is simple: it combines maximum pleasure with minimum trouble. GÉRARD FAIVRE PARIS offers the opportunity to move into an exceptional residence without the usual constraints, while also including a dedicated concierge service similar to the best Parisian five star hotels.

Gérard FAIVRE is a virtuoso of metamorphosis who gives a contemporary feel to properties that are full of history.

10 Every house is unique, has been rethought and decorated in harmony with the history of the building, its former owners, its location or quite simply according the inspiration of GĂŠrard Favre. Despite their vast variations in design, they all have one thing in common, they are ready to live in: the new owners need only pack their cases and move in.

11

Who is Gérard Faivre? As told by Gérard Faivre... “People say that I am always in a hurry, but in fact I

universe which I really love.

12 Unlike my decorator friends, I do not work for a client and do not have to compromise with demands and preferences imposed by somebody else: I propose a finished product, a home thought out in its smallest details, where one can move in within 24 hours. It is a global vision and my own signature that I put on the market.I do not like the French expression « clefs en main » (turnkey) which could qualify my work, for it is reductive and underlines a mercantile procedure.

It is for me alone that I draw the blueprints, design the floor-plan, and imagine the architecture and decor. The happiness I feel in undertaking and finishing each project is a concrete, tangible pleasure which visitors can feel when they enter the main gate of the property. The decision to buy comes quickly. One falls in love with a house immediately, passionately or not at all.” WWW.GERARDFAIVREPARIS.COM

The English House range is that rare thing in light fittings – stylish, but without imposing a “style” on the room or the building. Designed with a classical simplicity, the lights are equally at home in every period of building from Tudor manor to minimalist modern studio, and from intimate sitting room to large public space. They are the creation of Charles Morris, a designer with a national reputation for country houses and the best in domestic architecture. Like his buildings, these light fittings have been designed to combine the best qualities of traditional form and materials with a subtle contemporary touch.

fabrics.

This was to achieve a natural continuity of space from room to room. The kitchen was converted into an open plan space to create an interior that was comfortable enough to live in and at the same time, entertain in - even when hosting with a chef. A wall was originally installed in front of the island, which encased the space, which Maurizio removed to expose the space to its full potential. Every utility has been given careful planning attention so that each appliance, sourced from premium brands such as Miele, Gaggenau and Sapphire, seamlessly integrates into the space including the island, which features an integrated extractor fan.

Maurizio chose all of the final dressings to create a luxurious clutter free apartment. The ground floor effortlessly brings the outdoors inside with the orchids that Maurizio dressed the living area with. Curved contours and linear shapes feature throughout the apartment and the abundance of reflective glass finishes creates an illusion of space that complements this concept beautifully. The heavy curtains and sheers from the original scheme were removed and instead, Maurizio chose to use shutters to dress the windows to create a fresh and open look that make the best use of the light.

The main feature in the living area is

The reddish tones, used also on the upholstery, ended up creating a warm feeling for the space. All the spaces received the same care in this project and tried to create surprises and emotions through a precise drawing, based on a careful architectural detailing. The living room layouts – with floor lighting, sofas and club chairs, as well as end tables – define pleasant spaces for social gatherings. The spaces are organized by large carpets – also in neutral colors that do not stand out too much from the floor and function as delicate markers for the activities. The lighting fixtures privileged indirect lights, such as recessed ceiling down-lights and abat-jours, complemented by some points in the ceiling next to the walls. The apartment is organized into 3 floors. On the first floor are the bedrooms. On the second floor there is the kitchen, a home office, dining room and living room. The last floor houses the library with different reading ambiances and a spa that has a covered pool, a winter garden and a gym.

38 All of the spaces on the top floor have a double ceilingheight. Thus, the spa and library could be designed taking advantage of the spaciousness of the architecture in behalf of the program. Thus, the pool is positioned in continuity with a dense garden – even having small tress -, in this way creating a tropical atmosphere together with the minimalist place of bathing. The walls were made in slatted wood and the ceiling in a metallic weaved lining. The library has floor-to-ceiling wooden shelves suggesting that even the books can serve as future space lining. From this space as well, there is a spectacular view looking out on the city of São Paulo, framed by a window that interrupts the punctuated sequence of the modules of the bookstand. AS PURE AS POSSIBLE:

THE LAUNCH OF ‘MODERN’ PROFILE RANGE More with less In October 2016 DAVUKA launched their latest collection in collaboration with Orac Decor, the worlds leading manufacturer of innovative architectural mouldings. This new collection interprets modernism in angular and sharp lines, breaking traditions and conventions and focusing more than ever on the symbiosis between architecture and decoration. The new MODERN collection is based on 5 concepts, which have found their expression in 16 highquality 3D ornaments. Clever play of shadows (Indirect/ Uplighting Cornice) The L3 concept, developed by the Italian architect Orio Tonini, consists of 4 modernist profiles designed for the integration of indirect LED lighting. Each profile can be used as a standalone element, for example as an uplighter, or they can be combined to create beautifully composed linear patterns of light and shadow. Chamfered and sober (Cornice mouldings) “Steps”, also designed by Orio Tonini, consists of a series of 4 simply designed profiles, each with an individual character and function, including an original border, a cleancut cornice moulding, and a practical solution for hiding a curtain rail or LED lighting. The chamfered corners

at the top and bottom also create a subtle shadow line that manages to accentuate the linear pattern. Angular and interesting (Skirting Boards) The “High Line” profiles are comprised of two skirting boards designed by Pierre Daems. This creative developer sets himself apart by his use of straight lines and correct proportions – the fundamental features of modernism. Versatile and functional (Lit Skirting/Uplighting) The “Diagonal” integrates technology, design and function in one profile. The profile was based on the idea of being able to use the same product as a skirting board and as a light source either at skirting level of ceiling. Geometric volume (3D Wall Panel Art Pieces) Also showcasing are a unique series of 3D Wall Panels inspired by the abstract lines and geometric forms of modernist architecture. This new concept – developed in close collaboration with the Italian architect Orio Tonini and painter-artist Emma Geers – transforms ‘usual’ into ‘unusual’ in combination with texture and colour. The “Rombus” and “Trapezium” can be combined in numerous different ways for imaginative wall art in a totally different dimension.

The new Modern brochure is available by contacting Davuka on 020 8660 2854 or emailing orac@davuka.co.uk. And of course all existing architectural profiles are still available on a 2 day lead-time.

II By Iv Design The Epitome of Silent Luxury

53

Founded in 1990 by partners Dan Menchions and Keith Rushbrook, II BY IV DESIGN is a creative studio that you know, only if you’re in the know. The creators of many high profile projects, their portfolio of work is impressive and their client list reads like a who’s who in industry circles; however, Menchions and Rushbrook are understated about their success, preferring to let their design work take center stage. Specializing in international luxury lifestyles and architectural interiors, II BY IV DESIGN is a multidisciplinary studio with a focus on high-end condominium developments, innovative retail spaces, hospitality environments, marine and product design. Guided by a design philosophy that is client focused they are known for creating interiors with longevity that surpass trend; each project is unique, with its own distinctive story, there is no signature look to the firm’s work simply the “right” look which can make it hard to identify. Based out of Toronto, Canada Menchions and Rushbrook are responsible for several of the city’s iconic venues that that define the social landscape of the downtown core; from the sleek marble-lined CN Tower restaurant and café, to the see-and-be scene at the Thompson Hotel’s roof top patio and lobby bar, to the décor gallery and eatery in Holt Renfrew.

54

In fact, the firm has a strong presence across North America and in 2011 opened a second studio in lower Manhattan’s fashionable TriBeCa district to better service their clientele in the United States. In New York City alone the talented designers have contributed their vision to the chic tartinery SnAKS, found in Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship Rockefeller Center department store and Yankee Stadium, where they transformed 37,000sq. ft. of restaurant, bar and lounge amenities provided for top-level season ticket holders. At the heart of their business, II BY IV DESIGN are experts at interpreting current and emerging consumer behaviors, attitudes and expectations; they excel in creating dynamic, multi-unit residential developments. A key contributor in many successful projects, the firm designs comprehensive lifestyle inspired amenities;

55 There are many factors that go into the success of a project but amenities are a primary consideration for potential purchasers and a definitive way for developers to differentiate themselves. Building on their understanding of residential environments and consumer culture, II BY IV DESIGN also has had a hand in designing hotels; most notably, the Trump Hotel Collection’s Columbus Circle locale, as well as, the first International Hotel and Tower in New York City and their second in Toronto (the chain’s first foray into Canada). Bricks and mortar don’t define the extent of their design

reach though; II BY IV DESIGN travels all over the world to meet with clients, conduct site visits and oversee the installation of their projects, from Mexico City to Singapore and Austria. Crystal Cruises, a repeat client for the creative studio, has entrusted the firm with creating exclusive retail spaces and six-star caliber staterooms for several of their vessels which circle the globe. Just returning from a 32 day excursion thru the North West Passage, the Crystal Penthouse Suite aboard the Crystal Serenity commands an impressive £78,802 per person and has been described as “one of the most luxurious cruise ship suites in the world”.

There is no doubt that II BY IV DESIGN’s work is valued and respected, they have many repeat clients and are the recipient of over 350 design awards; however they are not a household name, which seems to be irrelevant. According to Dan Menchions, partner at II BY IV DESIGN, “the greatest indication of our success comes from our clients and the realization of the project itself”. Driven by a passion for design and innovation, II BY IV DESIGN goes quietly about their business; creating memorable environments for their clients and delivering world-class, sophisticated design – they are the epitome of Silent Luxury. www.iibyiv.com

68 Claremont is a 6000 sqft warehouse conversion in downtown Toronto. The former sewing floor is now home to Free Space, a multi-use platform for video and photo production, events, co-working and gallery space. The conversion had to make use of the existing floor plan while creating new partitions for the gallery, offices, photo studio and editing suites. The program uses a drapery track system to maintain a flexible floor plan that responds to different scenarios. An open floor plan is intended to leave the natural light unobstructed in order to shoot around the entire studio. Materials included are raw pine, douglas fir plywood and galvanized steel. The material choices follow a temporal approach to the conversion, using affordable ready-made materials to craft custom furniture and millwork solutions. The floor is divided between an exposed subfloor and plywood covering to denote drop-in and fixed workspace. The space is also host to the Canon Creator Lab, an event space for Canon Cameras. www.tomchung.net

The four-day show, which runs from Sunday 22 until Wednesday 25 January at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre (NEC), gives architects, designers and specifiers the first chance to see up and coming trends in furniture and furnishings. With over 300 exhibitors already signed up, there will be everything from fabrics, soft furnishings, upholstery, flooring, cabinets and giftware across the five full halls on show. Some of the UK’s major industry names exhibiting their designs, products and innovations for those interested in sourcing furniture and furnishings for the contract and interior design markets, include: Parker Knoll, Duresta, Collins & Hayes, Libra, Nathan, Celebrity, Kesterport, Cintinque, Lebus, Ercol, Whitemeadow, Willis & Gambier, Gallery Direct, Alstons, Furmanac, Dar Lighting, Michael Tyler, Pacific Lifestyle, Rauch, Tom Schneider and Tetrad. Laraine Janes of the January Furniture Show said: “Designers attending the show will find plenty of inspiration from the many beautiful stands, product designs and concepts. We are excited that the calibre of companies exhibiting is very high for 2017, so it is the perfect show at the perfect time of year to see what trends lie ahead.” Here’s a taster of who you can expect to see at this year’s show. Collins & Hayes was proud to be a runner up and highly commended for its Brooke sofa range in the Furniture Awards 2016 Upper Level category at last year’s show.

Introducing The Kitch’t

A New Compact Kitchen Solution From dsignedby WORDS: dsignedby

PHOTOS: dsignedby

Dsignedby was established in Belgrade in 2008 by sisters Irena and Iva Kilibarda. Since our launch, we have produced small series of furniture pieces that prioritize unique design and sustainability.

Why compact kitchen design?

An all-in-one piece, the Kitch’ T® is easy to move from apartment to apartment, and is easily adaptable

and right-hand side of the unit.

71

A focal feature of dsignedby’s work is modern OLED technology, in which we collaborate with the Frauenhofer IPMS (Institute for Photonic Microsystems) to integrate cutting-edge lighting effects into our design pieces. This compact unit has everything one kitchen needs contained underneath in the solid wood front cabinets. The Table T® seating area is 100cm long and can host 3 people comfortably for lunch. The elements with built in Bosch appliances are only 80cm wide and can be accessed from both sides. The cooking and washing areas are located on one side, while a space to sit, relax and have coffee is on the other. The Waterworks Atlas R.W. bar faucet perfectly complements the industrial design, roughness of the metallic holding structure, the Hafele hardware systems and the Loox warm LED light. The fridge is a large Dometic minibar. All icons on the unit are lit from within by LED lights – another example of the capabilities of the Corian® DuPontTM Illumination series. As part of the design process, we took into consideration price and quality standards, so as to make it affordable for a young professional whilst also being of a very high quality. As young people are often short on space in their homes, we wanted to design something that would provide them with an area that is not only functional, but also where they can gather with their friends. www.dsignedby.com

A gite/annex has been transformed into a comfortable TV & games room. Dressed with lounge sofas, oversized cushions and two large bespoke Berber rugs, the games rooms is perfect for relaxing and watching films or playing table tennis. The lounge effect continues onto the outside poolside dining area with Ethimo lounge seating, Alice in Wonderland peacock chairs and a hanging tent in the trees. “Our approach when creating the perfect holiday escape for the Brown family meant re-evaluating the usual priorities of the space. The villa needed to be playful, fun and invigorating; but also be able to offer restfulness in equal measure. The result is a space that is both serene and

rejuvenating, perfectly at home in the magical setting of Joucas. The team were delighted to work on such a wonderful and exciting project.” says Tiffany Duggan, Design Director at Studio Duggan. Studio Duggan’s eclectic design, the mixing of furniture, textures and colours alongside more contemporary pieces, is very prevalent throughout the house. The final result is ideal for Liz and Duncan and their two girls. The house benefits from a huge open plan living area, which connects to the outside terrasses and is perfect for entertaining. The bedrooms are located at either end of the house, which means two or three families can stay without feeling overcrowded. It’s completely the opposite from, and the perfect antidote to, their London home. www.studioduggan.com

Touch Ironmongery Ltd www.atouchofbrass.co.uk 210 Fulham Road, Chelsea London SW10 9PJ

The Perfect Touch

E

stablished 33 years ago in October 1982, Touch Ironmongery is one of London’s leading ironmongers. Originally called “A Touch of Brass”, the firm changed their name in 2003 in reaction to slowly advancing market changes in architectural ironmongery which is no longer supplied solely in brass, and to also reflect the broader range of products and finishes that they sell. In fact today, Touch can supply a wide range of finishes including Brass, Satin Brass, Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome, Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel, Copper, Bronze -solid and plated, BMA, Antique Brass, Black, Pewter, Ceramic, Leather, Stainless Steel, Satin Stainless Steel, Gun Metal, and the list keeps growing. Whatever finish you require, Touch can help you get the right look. Touch occupy their recently refurbished showroom at 210 Fulham Road, Chelsea, where they display a vast range of their 5,000 products. With a customer base including Interior Designers, Builders and individuals who are interested in the top end of the

Ironmongery market, Touch mainly supply to residential premises but hotel and office properties also contribute to their vast clientele. The company also have a healthy export market to all corners of the world, namely the Middle East, Europe and the Americas. Touch’s owner and founder, Bill Benham, has 33 years’ experience in the ironmongery trade, as do his colleagues Jim Haselup and Alan Blanchard. Saleem Qureshi is the newest member of our team and has 10 years’ experience, meaning their knowledge is unrivalled in this industry. The range of products supplied by Touch date from circa 1640 French (Louise XIV) and cover all subsequent periods (Georgian, Edwardian & Victorian), art deco and contemporary pieces also make up the product ranges. In addition, Touch showcases the very best of British manufacturing; the best ranges are still produced in the Midlands by craftsmen in factories dating back 200 years or more. Touch also sell European manufactured goods

which is considered to be of a very good quality and in recent years they have introduced some of the far eastern made products, albeit in a limited range but cost effective. With trends continuously evolving, new innovative products are constantly under development. Touch understand that keeping up with the fashion-shifts is imperative in order to provide every customer with the best solution for their requirements. Ironmongery can be a difficult and complicated aspect of a building project, as a result Touch aim to take this awkward aspect and make it user friendly and clear to understand by offering an onsite service where they carry out a detailed door by door, window by window, room by room Ironmongery schedule, highlighting all requirements and identifying any items that can be refurbished. Refurbishment is a large part of the business; Touch will undertake complete ironmongery refurbishment projects, and can restore old paint covered door furniture to their former glory, looking as new, at a fraction of the cost to replace.

History in the heart of Whitehall protected with the help of Selectaglaze Banqueting House, Whitehall, lies in the heart of the tourist trail with the likes of Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey a short walk away. Inigo Jones designed the current Banqueting House in 1619 - 1622 after its predecessor was destroyed by fire. It has hosted many important state events and stood witness as James I was executed outside of the building, on a temporary scaffold built for the occasion. Banqueting house is managed and cared for by Historic Royal Palaces, an independent charity which has been restoring and repairing the stunning Grade I building. Security was a key concern during planning, along with reducing the noise from the busy Whitehall thoroughfare. Royal Warrant Holder Selectaglaze was sought to provide an alternative solution to the current blast net curtains covering the windows, that not only met the specification but was also an unobtrusive adaptation.

Installing the secondary glazed units provided an interesting challenge as half the openings were at upper gallery level 10m above the main floor. The gallery could not be loaded. Working very closely with Gardner & Theobold, structural engineers Hockley & Dawson and Royal Warrant holding scaffolders Allen and Foxworthy, a careful method of installation was devised involving a columnar scaffolding design complete with lifting apparatus to each opening. In all, 39 units were installed, allowing daylight to once again flood the main hall. As well as offering blast protection and noise insulation in access of 45dB, the secondary glazing also provides essential UV filtering to the Thomson Specification approved by the National Gallery, V&A and others. For further information, please contact Selectaglaze on 01727 837271/e mail: enquiries@selectaglaze.co.uk or visit: www.selectaglaze.co.uk

Leyla Uluhanli debuts her self-titled collection The Leyla Uluhanli Collection at the 2016 design show Maison & Objet Paris. The collection is inspired by the concept of American art of the 1960's — a favorite era of the designer. The principle components of the collection are comfort, functionality, prestige artfully combining minimalism and precise craftsmanship. The collection consists of armchairs, sofas, consoles, commodes and lighting featuring neutral tones with antique brass, crystal rock, and sycamore veneer. Balancing tradition and modernity, Leyla Uluhanli reflects the desire to create an atmosphere that is refined, eclectic and stylish. Renowned interior designer Leyla Uluhanli channels inspiration for her projects from the eclectic nostalgia of different epochs. She specializes in private and public interiors, stylized in the spirit of 1960’s American decor using antiques and modern art. Combining refined artistry, powerful energy and historical cues, Leyla Uluhanli’s designs offer a reflection of lifestyle in an interior. Born in Baku, Azerbaijan, Leyla Uluhanli studied design in London and Moscow. Since opening her studio Leyla Uluhanli Interiors in 2005, she has showcased projects in Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Baku, Lisbon, Dubai and London.

“The popularity of this style is in its simplicity and courtliness of the forms, lines. In its conciseness, and partly in the light feeling of nostalgia it provokes, it is certainly luxury and absolutely universal” — Leyla Uluhanli.

Leyla Uluhanli frequently collaborates with leading world architects, and interior and fashion designers to create works such as her “10 Armchairs” exhibition. Her work has been featured in publications such as AD, Elle Decoration, TATLER and VOGUE. Kayiwa’s CARAT LED Pendant Lamps Shine Bright Like A Diamond KAYIWA, the inventor of the diamond-shaped glassware that has been copied the world over, continues to push boundaries with the introduction of CARAT light fixtures. These new pendant lamps serve more than their functional purpose and move into artistic territory. "Lighting can change the entire ambience of a room,

KAYIWA’s portfolio of products is diverse – ranging from furniture to housewares. With a witty yet elegant disregard for convention, KAYIWA pieces are exquisite sculptures in their own right.

not just by providing the appropriate light," says designer Lincoln Kayiwa. "The right fixtures can create the perfect fusion of functionality and style, even when they are turned off.” So whether it's on or off, the CARAT pendant lamp is always eye candy. It makes a minimalistic yet powerful impression when installed, either singly or grouped together.

99 However, in addition to other features, it is possible to vary the light color temperature or lumens, as well as dim the light to create the perfect lighting for any application, with an optional Casambi lighting control system – using a smartphone, tablet or smartwatch ¬– or even by good, old fashioned wall switches. Traditional craftsmanship, modern design and technology Just like its CARAT barware cousins, the light fixtures are created with skilled craftsmanship and a respectful use of materials. Passing through a total of seven craftsmen and taking hours to create and perfect, each piece in the collection is one-of-a-kind. The CARAT pendant lamp collection’s unique approach to the materials creates a contemporary, sculptural and visually stimulating concept that fuses both aesthetics and practicality into a distinctive creation. For instance, the diamond-faceted glass is sandblasted and brushed with pumice, creating an extraordinary texture that diffuses the light into a soft glow. Moreover, the pendant lamps incorporate a silicone ceiling rose that adapts to any type of ceiling – horizontal or inclined. The soft plastic folds up against Endless possibilities Each piece has a transformative quality. Through variations in size, color and configuration, the collection can solve any number of aesthetic and functional needs for residential, hospitality, and contract settings. CARAT lamps can be selected to match or accent the overall décor in any room. In addition to the classic De Stijl colors, the glass shades are obtainable in various hues, the ceiling roses exist in three color options, and the textile cable cords are available in various colors as well as patterns, all of which customers can select online. Nevertheless, under our customized service, we can design and produce individual options tailor-made for specific needs, which offers a multitude of possibilities for designers, architects and anyone with a personal vision for exceptional lighting. This includes, but is not limited to, longer textile cord length, other textile cord color and pattern options, custom glass shade hues, or integrating the Casambi Technologies' lighting control solution. The fixtures are suitable for indoor use in most countries. The standard light source for all the CARAT luminaire models is a custom-designed 6 W, 400-lumen LED, with a color temperature of 4000 K.

the ceiling to fit snugly and achieve perfect results. Further still, it being malleable makes it possible to turn inside out, which allows full view of cables and fittings, to make it easier to mount the lamps. This sustainable, environmentally friendly LED lighting will last for over 50,000 hours, but KAYIWA even turns it up a whole notch by offering a lifetime warranty, as these collectible pieces are new classics that will last a lifetime. www.kayiwa.fi

2 Feelgood Designs In 1951, Gian Franco Legler (italo-swiss) designed a chair for the Basket restaurant in Italy, which gave its name to the chair and fame throughout Europe. After receiving MoMA’s ‘Good Design Award’ (1953), the chair had a successful career in the US and is since then part of their permanent collection. Recently, the Basket chair returned to its roots. The original rattan indoor version is completed by the outdoor version in high quality, UV-resistant polyethylene. Decem Sliding Door with Finger Pull Roman Launch New Slider Roman has launched a new and revolutionary Sliding Door into their 10mm Decem Collection. The original British design and engineering of the Decem Sliding Door ensures the ultimate in quality, precision and craftsmanship. It has a completely new and innovative sliding system, which gives a solid, smooth and almost silent action. It has a new soft close system at each end which is machined to create a drop before the door hits the piston, which improves the action of the opening and closing itself. This enclosure is particularly straight forward to install as the fixing system is external whereas it would usually be internal. This Sliding Door also features a unique finger pull handle, which is framed with silver chromed brass, creating a contemporary design. Many of the new design features were to ensure that it is the best running and feeling slider available in the market and it is now specified by major International Hotel Groups. Milliken takes Artistic Liberties with a bold new collection inspired by street art and the punk revival Artistic Liberties is a daring new carpet tile collection from the Milliken in-house design team. It combines postpunk and street art influences with historic and classical references resulting in a liberation of clashing colours and twisted timelines. Artistic Liberties makes a traditional design contemporary and outspoken. The collection is aimed at corporate, office and contemporary hospitality environments but responds directly to the blurring of boundaries between the workplace and home. A section of an interior can be punctuated or defined with a covering of the rebellious ‘Outspoken Tradition’ design or a spattering of the avant-garde ‘Historic Clashes.’

New Bauhaus-inspired bathroom fittings Samuel Heath’s new Landmark collection enables designers to achieve a totally co-ordinated finish for the increasingly popular industrial interiors theme in residential, commercial and high-spec hotel projects.

The 5 designs within the collection and the enormous colour range offer the designer complete choice to make a bold statement throughout or inject highlights of interest with colour and pattern where required. www.millikencarpet.com

Inspired by the simplified forms and functional efficiency redolent of the Bauhaus era, Landmark consists of two striking collections, Pure and Industrial:Landmark Pure is a well-balanced range with minimal embellishment and balanced proportions giving a clean, concise appearance, whilst exquisite detail provides the distinctive styling essential to luxury bathroom design. Landmark can be seen at Samuel Heath’s Design Centre Chelsea Harbour showroom. Product details and stockists can be found at www.samuel-heath.co.uk or by calling 0121 766 4200.

Autumn-Winter 2016/17 Collection Exercises in Style

For Autumn-Winter 2016/17, Ferrari has created a sporty yet sophisticated look featuring the kind of detailing that makes this collection the perfect choice for people that adore super quality garments. The signature of all Ferrari’s collections is, of course, detailing inspired by iconic elements of its legendary GTs: from colours to bodywork liveries, cabin trim to steering wheels. The Autumn/Winter Collection’s signature colours are dark yet warm, spanning varying shades of red, black, navyblue and even a bright blue. That said, in the women’s collection, some concessions have been made to pastel shades such as beige and powder pink, which are often paired with exclusive crystal detailing.

111 The men’s and women’s capsule collection inspired by the Ferrari 488 Spider, however, centres around “Blu Corsa”with all the pieces in shades of black and Blu Corsa as well as featuring auto and motorsport-derived detailing. Numerous accessories, many coordinating, add a brilliantly rich finishing touch to the overall look. Debuting this year are lovely rectangular and square scarves with newly-designed motif and the Trademark bag range which includes a practical Travel Bag, the original Helmet Case launched last season, a laptop case, shoulder bag and beauty case. All made from buttery soft calfskin with red stitching, linings and patent leather piping. www.store.ferrari.com
