The acclaimed restaurant will expand in September to offer two bars, an all-day dining terrace, outdoor kitchen, bedrooms and a deli shop on site.
JÖRO, the nationally acclaimed restaurant, renowned for its innovative and Nordic/Japaneseinspired cuisine, is delighted to announce it is relocating to a new site within the iconic Oughtibridge Paper Mill development on the edge of the Peak District.
Opening in September, the new restaurant will be situated in a renovated 19th Century paper mill in the picturesque Don Valley. Marking a significant milestone for JÖRO, the site will allow married duo, Luke French and Stacey Sherwood-French, to enhance their much-loved restaurant, previously located in a modern shipping container development, Krynkl, Kelham Island in Sheffield.
Luke and Stacey will create a dining destination in Oughtibridge, with the Mill consisting of flagship JÖRO Restaurant, alongside two bars and an outdoor BBQ kitchen concept located on the terrace, based around live fire cooking, much like JÖRO. Alongside this, the mill sees seven new rooms introduced and SHÖP by JÖRO also featuring on site.
The relocated restaurant will remain true to JÖRO’s identity, also drawing inspiration from local suppliers, classic training, and ancient cooking principles from Japan to Norway. JÖRO’s signature tasting menus apply innovation to the finest native ingredients, such as Barnsley Lamb, to bring some of the best modern cooking the city has ever seen.
The new terrace menu will be prepared using revolutionary live-
fire techniques, with meat and fish cooked over birch wood and charcoal, allowing diners to relish the smoky, robust flavours. The global grill menu will be in partnership with Big Green Egg and includes highlights such as Grilled Scottish Scallop, Salt aged Yorkshire beef rump cap and Whole teriyaki quail, served alongside snacks, salads and bread. To finish, desserts include Basque blueberry cheesecake, Yuzu meringue pie and a menu of soft serve ice creams, such as Pistachio, Caviar and Salted butter rum caramel.
Chef and co-owner, Luke French, comments; “We’re incredibly excited about this new chapter for JÖRO, we have been searching for quite some time for a new home, which will allow us to really push the whole experience to the next level. We really wanted to make sure that we enhance the characteristics everyone knows and loves in our tasting menus, but with more space for the team, and additional areas for our guests to enjoy the experience. Having the separate terrace concept and bars allows us the space to alleviate the pressure of turning tables, as well as bringing new concepts to Oughtibridge”.
The site will offer five studio rooms and two, one-bedroom apartments, giving guests the chance to stay for a foodie night or weekend stay. Designed by Luke and Stacey, the rooms are Scandi-inspired, offering a calming atmosphere with views of the Peak District border, and will include a kitchen, ensuites and homemade continental style breakfasts delivered to the room. The rooms follow a neutral colour palette, echoing the mill, with forest green hues reflecting the luscious forest environment. Current boutique accommodation House of JÖRO, will additionally continue to offer a city stay for guests who prefer to stay within walking distance of the city centre and popular Kelham Island.
The site will also be home to Shop by JÖRO, a deli shop within the mill, selling a range of everyday ingredients including teas, coffees, JÖRO’s own wine and gin, and cured meats. Additionally, the shop will sell quality produce used in the kitchens at JÖRO, such as barrelaged soy sauce, allowing guests to take a piece of the JÖRO experience home.
Co-owner, Stacey SherwoodFrench, adds; “As soon as we saw the site a couple of years ago we were immediately drawn to it, and we just couldn’t let it go. It has the beautiful views of the mill and peak district, yet is only a 10-minute drive from our current location in the city centre. We’re excited to

York chef and restaurateur
Stephen Andrews has reopened Fish & Forest – and the new site has already proven a huge hit with customers.
Stephen, who relocated his restaurant from Micklegate to Grape Lane – in the former 1331 Bar and Grill building which his parents used to own – says “it is great to be back doing what we do best.”
The move has allowed Stephen to expand his offering, and as well as the restaurant, there’s a new bar and courtyard serving up snacks and carefully crafted cocktails.
Stephen and the team have also transformed Fish & Forest’s former site into Notes Wine Bar, which offers specially chosen wine and drinks as well as a smaller menu of snacks and nibbles.
“It’s been a whirlwind these last few months,” said Stephen, who’s renovated both sites with the help of his dad, Sam, and his team.
“We have all worked exceptionally hard, completely transforming both venues and the reaction from customers has been incredible,” added Stephen, who’s gained huge success for Fish & Forest which is recognised in the Michelin Guide
for its Commitment to Sustainable Gastronomy; has an AA Rosette and is listed in Harden’s.
The ethos of Fish & Forest has not changed, and the restaurant serves up seasonal and sustainable fish, game from local estates and forest foods.
On the menu is everything from coley served with cauliflower and anchovy; to a venison haunch with beetroot and umeboshi plum; monktail served with a sweetcorn jus and a barbecue sauce; stone bass served with radicchio, coffee and cherry; and barbecue megrim sole served with fermented gooseberries, capers, red onion and samphire.
Mack is Back 4.0 is one of Stephen’s famous dishes, previously The Return of the Mack, this mackerel kiev is a firm favourite among Fish & Forest diners.
“You’ve got the mackerel, panko breadcrumbs and garlic butter in the centre which just oozes out when you cut through it.
“The venison starter uses off-cuts from our mains as we’re focused on not having any waste. It’s handminced and served as a tartar
and the beetroot with umeboshi plum has been cured for a few months. It tastes awesome, with a savoury flavour to it, giving the beetroot an almost sweet taste –and it complements the venison beautifully.”
Vegetarians will also be catered for with dishes including heirloom tomatoes – using fermented and dehydrated tomatoes – and panko aubergine served with courgettes.
The new menu has eight starters, four mains, four desserts and sides and will change according to the season.
“Everything we serve is 100% prepared and made by us, cured in-house and butchered in-house. Sustainability is at the core of what we do, and our menu will always be led by ingredients from land and sea,” said Stephen.
Fish & Forest will be open for lunch and dinner with lunch served from 12noon to 2pm and dinner from 5.30pm to 9.30pm. The bar and courtyard will operate a walk-in service.
Perrier-Jouët is proud to announce excellent scores for two Belle Epoque cuvées awarded by expert, impartial judges at the International Wine Challenge 2024 (IWC). Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc De Blancs 2012 and Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Brut 2013 were both awarded scores of 94 points at this year’s IWC, earning them both a silver medal (90-94 points).
The IWC is a highly important blind-tasting competition on both the local UK market, as well as the international stage. Medals awarded by the IWC are markers of guaranteed quality to consumers and trade professionals alike. The goal of the judging process
is to assure complete fairness throughout evaluation, allowing all wines to be tasted without bias. The competition is structured to ensure that wines are afforded the opportunity to shine without any external factors implicating the judging process.
Commenting on the Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc De Blancs 2012, judges noted “lively freshness and harmonious mousse” in this quintessential expression of Chardonnay in the style of Maison Perrier-Jouët. As regards PerrierJouët Belle Epoque Brut 2013, the judges commented on the champagne’s impressive balance, describing the cuvée as “a wine with forward energy balancing acid and body”.
A rare cuvée, Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc De Blancs is only made on years with near perfect conditions – and the 2012 vintage is no exception. Maison PerrierJouët only declares a vintage in years that meet the maison’s exacting standards, making all its Belle Epoque vintage cuvées a rarity, with Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs the rarest of them all. Speaking about the cuvée, Cellar Master Séverine Frerson explains, “For its elegance, its refinement and its wonderful silken texture, I associate PerrierJouët Belle Epoque Blanc de Blancs with a white orchid, my favourite flower.”
When speaking about PerrierJouët Belle Epoque Brut 2013, Séverine continues “Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque is a true icon – a rare and elegant champagne that celebrates the art of blending in the Perrier-Jouët style”. A structured and graceful champagne, this cuvée embodies the Perrier-Jouët house style.

Located within the pristine Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Milaidhoo offers travellers a secluded haven of tranquillity and indulgence. Picture-perfect beaches, crystal-clear waters teeming with marine life, and lush tropical greenery set the stage for an unforgettable retreat.
The Baa Atoll, renowned for its stunning natural beauty and vibrant marine life, is also home to a rich tradition of local crafts. These crafts, deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Maldives, offer a unique glimpse into the island’s artistic soul and the skills passed down through generations.
At Milaidhoo, respect for local tradition and culture comes alive in the design. In the ‘main square’ in front of reception, several hanging chairs represent the Maldivian village tradition of gathering in public. Other details include the historic-looking spa door with brain coral stone elements, authentic laquerware and a restaurant shaped like a traditional ba’theli sailboat.
One of the most distinctive crafts of the Baa Atoll is lacquer work, locally known as liyelaa jehun. This intricate art involves coating wood with layers of resin sourced from local trees, which is then polished to a glossy finish and decorated with vivid geometric patterns and floral motifs. This traditional craft is often used to create decorative boxes, bowls and other household items that are as functional as they are beautiful.
Mat weaving is another cherished craft of the Baa Atoll, with artisans using natural fibres from local plants such as reed and palm leaves. These mats, known as thundu kunaa, are meticulously handwoven, showcasing a variety of intricate designs and vibrant colours. They are traditionally used as prayer mats and floor coverings but also make exquisite souvenirs for guests.
The art of coir rope making is a testament to the resourcefulness of the islanders. Derived from the husk of coconuts, coir is processed and twisted into strong, durable rope. This craft not only supports local communities but also plays a crucial role in the construction of traditional Maldivian boats, known as dhonis.
Boat building is a revered craft in the Baa Atoll, where the construction of dhonis – traditional Maldivian fishing boats – is carried out with exceptional skill. These boats are crafted using coconut timber and coir rope, reflecting the ingenuity and maritime heritage
of the Maldivian people. The craftsmanship involved in creating these vessels ensures they are both seaworthy and aesthetically pleasing.
Artisans in the Baa Atoll also create a variety of handicrafts from coconut shells, a resource abundantly available in the region. These include intricately carved ornaments, jewellery and household items that highlight the creative use of natural materials and the artisans’ skill in transforming everyday objects into works of art.
The preservation and promotion of these traditional crafts are essential for maintaining the cultural heritage of the Baa Atoll. Visitors to the atoll are encouraged to explore local markets and workshops, where they can purchase authentic handmade crafts directly from the artisans. This support not only helps sustain the local economy but also ensures that these ancient crafts continue to thrive for future generations.
Milaidhoo can easily be reached by a 30-minute seaplane flight from the international airport in Malé or a 15-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo domestic airport in Baa Atoll, followed by a 15-minute speedboat ride to the private island resort.

Hyde London City has officially opened its doors, marking an exciting new chapter for one of London’s historic buildings and coming as the Hyde hotel brand’s grand UK debut, following recent openings in Ibiza and Bodrum.
The hotel breathes life into the remarkable 19th-century, Grade II-listed Spiers & Pond building in Farringdon, while bringing Hyde’s electrifying energy to
one of London’s most storied neighbourhoods.
Spanning seven stories, Hyde London City boasts 111 stylish guest rooms, evoking a sense of exploration with a nod to the architectural heritage of the building, originally built in 1874. Proudly designed by Londonbased hospitality design specialists, Studio Moren, the hotel is rich with references to Darwin’s seminal works and the kaleidoscope’s discovery, infusing a sense of energy and fascination into the
space. Ed Murray, Associate at Studio Moren, said: “We were appointed as specialist hotel architects and interior designers to design the project inside and out. We have embraced the location within the City of London while also exploring the Victorian history that would have inspired the building’s original designers.”
Hyde, one of 15 brands in Ennismore’s lifestyle and resorts collective, embodies the free-spirit and escapism of a festival. Hyde’s signature brand touches are felt
throughout the hotel, like surf poncho-inspired dressing gowns and comfy sliders, that ensure every stay is both comfortable and memorable. The hotel’s Headliner Suite, set in the eaves of the building with a soaring 5-metrehigh ceiling, offers stunning views over St. Paul’s Cathedral and London’s rooftops. This suite is complemented by a private marbletopped bar, perfect for enjoying sundowners.
On the ground floor, guests will find Leydi, a contemporary Turkish eatery that brings the vibrant flavours and all-day dining culture of Istanbul to the heart of London. With a thoughtfully designed menu by renowned chef Selin Kiazim and the talented Halil Simsek, Leydi serves generous meze, home-baked pide, and Mangal-grilled meats and fish, encouraging joyful communal dining family-style. Featuring an extensive selection of drinks crafted by award-winning mixologist Kevin Patnode, the menu also includes raki-based cocktails and a curated
list of Mediterranean wines. The restaurant’s warm and stylish interior design creates a relaxing ambiance, inviting guests to linger over cocktails while basking in the rhythm of the surrounding city life.
Collaborations with emerging DJs and artists will drive Black Lacquer’s cultural programming, establishing it as a dynamic social hub for all.
Hyde London City’s prime location offers easy access to the city’s historic and cultural landmarks, including St. Paul’s Cathedral, Old Bailey, 180 Studios, and the Barbican Centre. Guests can also explore the nearby showrooms, concept stores, and galleries of Clerkenwell, home to the renowned Design Week. The eclectic history and emerging creative scene surrounding the hotel will heavily influence its cultural and music programming, integral to the Hyde brand.
As night falls, the action shifts underground to Black Lacquer, an intimate cocktail bar dedicated to a love of music, paying homage to Hyde’s origins on the LA club scene. Accessible through its exclusive entrance on Green Arbour Court, Black Lacquer features intimate booth seating nestled in the pavement vaults, surrounded by a collection of carefully curated vinyl. The bar’s unpretentious yet refined environment is designed to celebrate food, drinks, and music in equal measure, making it a versatile space for any occasion— whether you’re looking to unwind after a long day or dance the night away. Expertly crafted cocktails and a menu of Tokyo-inspired small plates perfectly complement the bar’s vibrant and inclusive atmosphere. The ever-changing soundtrack, hand-picked daily from an expansive range of vinyl records, will shift with the time of day and the mood of guests, taking them on a genre-bending journey. hydehotels.com/london-city

Just a few minutes from France’s largest natural lake lies Château Brachet and its gourmet restaurant. Majestically overlooking the Aix-les-Bains area between lakes and mountains, this boutique hotel emerges like a timeless jewel.
Steeped in the rich and unique history of the region, the château was once the home of a prominent 19thcentury doctor, Dr Léon Brachet, also known as “the doctor of kings”. An emblematic figure of Aix-les-Bains, he left an indelible legacy in the field of medicine. His dedication to the spa development of the town attracted many of Europe’s most distinguished personalities, who often found refuge between the warm walls of the Château. Today, every room at Château Brachet tells a story, capturing the essence of the guests who have walked its grounds.
After long years of slumber, Château Brachet has now been restored to its former splendor thanks to the passionate investment of JeanMichel Belin, who decided to breathe
new life into the property after falling in love with it in 2008 with his wife. His bold vision has given birth to a calm, modern place where classic elegance meets contemporary comfort.
It took ten years of patient and meticulous work before the château opened its doors to the public, offering visitors an unforgettable experience.
Nestled in 6 hectares of landscaped park, Château Brachet offers 15 rooms and suites, all meticulously decorated and themed in unique and subtle ways with the help of 3 enthusiastic history students. As well as being modern and varied, the rooms offer a complete immersion into the lives of famous personalities, thanks to the many objects and old books on display. From trinkets to engravings and letters dating back to the 19th century, your stay will take you on a journey through time, from
the imperial grandeur of Elisabeth of Austria (Sissi) to the intellectual elegance of the Coquelin brothers, and every corner of the château will be transformed into a tribute to a bygone era, preserving the charm and authenticity of centuries gone by.
Next to its splendid interior, Château Brachet appears as a true haven of peace where time seems to stand still, even outdoors. Indeed, its large 18-metre swimming pool nestling in the heart of its lush gardens, its solarium, cigar lounge, vegetable garden and its state-of-the-art sport facilities offer the perfect balance between relaxation and physical activity. From tennis to padel, volleyball, badminton, croquet and petanque courts, every moment at the Château Brachet grounds is an exciting adventure for amateurs and professionals alike.
The owners have also decided to give the Château its own gourmet restaurant, open to all. In the dining room, under the glass roof, in the lounge area or on the terrace, come and discover the cuisine of renowned chef Bertrand Jeanson, who spent many years in French Polynesia, and oversaw the opening of restaurant “Les Mutinés by Guy Martin” at the highly prestigious resort hotel The Brando. Now having settled at Château Brachet, he pays particular attention to choosing quality seasonal produce, so that he and his brigade can create tasty, meticulously prepared dishes.

Maria Vafiadis is one of the most highly regarded designers of luxury hotels and resorts. She established her practice, MKV Design, in London 25 years ago and has since led the design of such seminal resorts as Costa Navarino in Greece and Bürgenstock in Switzerland as well as a swathe of hotels and residences in capital cities and coastal locations across Europe.
For some time, the buzzword in luxury hotel design has been ‘storytelling’. An antidote to hotels that were largely indistinguishable from one another, the notion is to design hotels with a narrative that draws on sense of place, its history, culture and neighbourhood vibe, to create a hotel different from others.
“For me, as a designer who loves the research and concept creation phase of projects, this is an enriching approach,” says Maria. “It also encourages collaborations with local artists and craftspeople as well as the use of indigenous materials, which helps local communities as well as the environment.”
Meanwhile, the way we tend to live our lives has been changing – the blurring of business and leisure,
desire for the experiential and a higher value than ever given to luxury travel coupled with a reinterpretation of what luxury is
that favours a more residential and informal aesthetic. “I have always believed that the greatest gift hotels can bestow is the luxury of time and now I see storytelling moving onto story living, from an imposed narrative into something that gives a tangible experience. This may be making plans with loved ones, undertaking adrenaline-fuelled challenges, or listening to the wash of sea waves from your spa garden.
Whatever your choice, it’s about time spent well and to the full,” says Maria.
MKV’s portfolio includes many story living examples. Take, for instance, Bürgenstock Hotel and the Grand Residences Suites, both of which the practice designed as part of its total revitalisation of the entire Bürgenstock Resort. The experience of the hotel is that of being a bird in flight hovering above the sheer drop to the valley and Lake Lucerne below. The scenery is everything and the interior design is held in check to allow the natural world to be the star. Materials were selected to achieve a sense of uninterrupted transition from the view outside to indoors and include stone from the mountains, timber from the forests, bronze resembling the light of late afternoon and deeply veined green marble. The Grand Residences offer an alternative – the Swiss grand hotel tradition transposed into residential living with interiors graced by fine silk fabrics, crafted saddle leather and works of art by international artists.
MKV has also transformed a dilapidated palace building in Budapest into one of Europe’s grandest hotels - Matild Palace, A Luxury Collection Hotel. In a city synonymous with the tradition of bathing, guests can live the story in their guestroom bathrooms, soaking in a custom-designed tub or under a rain shower surrounded by turquoise glass mosaic interleaved with gold – a nod to Budapest’s famous Gellert Baths – combined with richly veined marble and classic bronze fittings.
Story living is not always a private affair, however. As anyone who has spent time in Greece knows, the gathering outside of friends, families and neighbours to eat, drink and converse is the very essence of the Grecian experience. Two years ago, MKV completed W Costa Navarino. The team fragmented the conventional allday dining room into four outlets, all of which open onto the Platia
in a playful interpretation of the Greek village square. Each venue is consciously designed not to feel like a hotel restaurant but rather as a place that belongs to the village with their own interior aesthetic and a seamless indoor/outdoor connection. In the Platia, hotel guests and local neighbours can sit wherever they wish and partake in whatever cuisine they desire at that moment in time. In true Greek style, they can re-arrange the seating for friends who happen to pass by, shelter from the afternoon sun under pergolas and find niches for candle-lit suppers at night.
This too is living the moment to its full, but for guests who want social engagement. “If luxury equates to the chance to live the story as you want to, when you want to, it follows that the great hospitality destinations should be diverse, from those on the public stage through to clubs where members can surround themselves with a
like-minded community,” Maria explains. “For younger people, in particular, social media has infiltrated the world of luxury in a way that the paparazzi of old never could with the result that luxury hospitality is seen as more accessible than it was. However, the very noise of modern-day living means that there is still very much a place for withdrawing into a luxury that whispers.”
A new MKV-designed villa at Mykonos Grand Hotel & Resort, is just such a place. The resort is sunken into a hillside overlooking the Aegean Sea and is prized for its sunset views. The 945-sqm villa is the ultimate retreat with four bedrooms, lounge, dining & kitchen and a gym. Above this, a magnificent rooftop terrace with pool, lounging, dining and a choice of sitting areas combine to create a collection of outdoor experiences where guests can feel they are living in their own dreamscape.

The new wallypower50 broadens the range, acting as a link between the wallytenders and the wallypowers and establishing a new standard for being flexible, practical, dynamic and iconic.
The design concept is that of a bridge between the open style of the wallytender43 and wallytender48 and the more generous wallypower58. The resulting model satisfies a wide range of customers and usage scenarios: from support vessel to comfortable family cruiser.
The layout of the wallypower50 stands out for practicality thanks
to the raised cockpit, which can accommodate eight people under the hardtop and four more on forward-facing seats, while the generous open space below deck offers maximum flexibility, completed by a comfortable bathroom with a separate shower, a large couch and a double bed. The two Volvo Penta IPS650 engines drive the wallypower50 to a top speed of 36 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots, ensuring easy manoeuvring in close-quarters situations thanks to the joystick with DPS option. The deep-V hull translates into sporty cruising even in rough seas. Antonini Navi returns to the French show held from September 10 to 15, where the boat builder will be exhibiting scale models of the three yachts under construction at the company’s La Spezia Shipyard: Explorer Yacht 32 M, Seamore 34 – both already sold – and the Suy 135, on which work has begun “on spec”.
Antonini Navi, a company specialising in the superyacht sector and founded in 2020 by Gruppo Antonini in partnership with Aldo Manna, returns to the Cannes Yachting Festival held this year from September 10 to 15 with a dedicated stand, where it will showcase scale models of the units currently under construction at the brand’s La Spezia shipyard.
They include the Explorer Yacht 32 M, with exteriors designed by Hydro Tec and interiors by Hot Lab. This 32-metre steel and aluminium yacht is the perfect combination of comfort, long range and the ability to take any sea conditions in its stride, all wrapped up in an appealing, modern design. Delivery is planned for 2025.
Seamore 34, on the other hand, is the first model in a “semi-custom” steel and aluminium series, with delivery planned once again in 2025. The yacht’s concept, based on highly versatile and flexible spaces, puts the emphasis on open areas that create uniquely convivial settings where guests can share experiences. One of the most appealing features of the Seamore 34 is the generous main deck offering over 150 square metres of open living area, which can also be closed off by recessed sliding glass doors flush with the deck.
Currently under construction on spec at the La Spezia shipyard and slated for delivery in 2026, the SUY 135 is a 44-metre superyacht with a tonnage of about 480 GT.
This displacement yacht is the first in the new line of Sports Utility Yachts (SUY). Exactly like a SUV in the automotive world, the idea is to create a yacht that offers an all-embracing approach to life on board. The Sport Utility Yacht concept is designed for a new yachting lifestyle that includes marine activities, water sports and adventure, helping the owner and guests discover the world around them.
“This past year has been one of great satisfaction for us and we’re excited to be going to Cannes. Our shipyard has four construction slots, and one is still free for new projects. The Cannes Yachting Festival is the ideal event to showcase our production and
engineering capabilities to the industry as a whole,” said Antonini Navi Partner and sales director Aldo Manna.
At the Antonini Navi stand, the shipyard’s management will be on hand to meet new customers interested in the construction of made-to-measure custom yachts. The management team will once again include Walter Antonini, the brand’s marketing and communication manager and a member of the fourth generation of the Antonini family. After gaining extensive international experience in China, Walter has returned to Italy to play a hands-on role in the shipyard’s activities and at the start of July was appointed Gruppo Antonini Innovation and Transition manager, with a focus on the company’s technological evolution and sustainability.

This shall remind them to “remain happy under any circumstances or be contented with what we can achieve through our capacity. It creates a balance between our external and internal worlds by controlling the tyranny of the senses. Contentment is a feeling of mental satisfaction.
“Peter Wilson‘, Owner’s Representative, said: “Our collaboration with Heesen on this project has yielded an excellent result. Collectively, we have been working as a cohesive team, with each party doing their utmost to achieve a world-class superyacht –one that is distinct from her peers. This was our second project with Heesen, and we look forward to many more in the future. Once delivered, I have no doubt that the clients will enjoy Santosha to her fullest.” First revealed at the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show, Heesen’s 57-metre series has a shapely silhouette with an elongated profile. A sweeping arch ties the length of the superstructure together, while the slightly raked angle of the bow gives the yacht a stretched optical length. The scooped-shaped stern ensures that the 57-metre will stand apart from every other superyacht berthed in a marina.
Santosha’s owners wanted to create an interior with a relaxed but elegant ambience, and this concept was masterfully executed by Heesen’s craftspeople. The clients were heavily involved in material selection, incorporating many sustainable options, such as recycled wood, performance leather and ‘art silk’ carpets. With a free-flowing layout and neutral colour palette, the yacht manages to combine both luxury and functionality.
The interior showcases a refined architectural hierarchy and consistency. Paired-down aesthetics, carefully considered embellishments, and unique door treatments create a sense of fluidity throughout. The design details are meticulously curated, with elements like woven leather accents around the TV in the sky lounge and gleaming curved wallpapers that reflect sunlight.
Santosha’s interiors are also adorned with carefully curated art pieces. The use of art adds a playful and brave touch to the serene and elevated decor. The works are balanced by the pale-coloured floors and ‘art silk’ carpets, contributing to the vessel’s fresh and elegant aesthetic.
The yacht features a nearly 70 sqm owners’ apartment, which includes a study, a full beam stateroom, and expansive bathroom. Elegant light fixtures and bespoke artwork make it a truly personal space. The master bathroom is an ode to the Garden of Eden, with lush white-on-white designs inspired by bas-relief techniques, designed in collaboration with the client, and masterfully crafted by Londonbased artists of DKT studio. The snake, a totem animal for the Owners, takes the center stage in the artowrk. Beyond transformation, this creature epitomizes rebirth. In its cyclical shedding of its skin, the snake becomes a symbol of renewal and resurrection. The spiritual energy of the snake inspires us to view endings not as finality but as gateways to new beginnings. The snake also represents the journey of healing. The area also sports beautifully carved Calacatta Sponda marble and an expansive vanity desk.
The guest quarters are designed with practicality in mind, drawing on the clients’ extensive experience and deep understanding of life on board. They feature light, elegant aesthetics with breezy pops of colour, curated artwork, and contemporary photography, creating a serene yet playful atmosphere.
Santosha is not just a work of art but also a high-performance vessel that delivers. The Heesen 57-metre features a full aluminium hull, an iteration of the ultra-efficient FDHD devised by Dutch hydrodynamicists van Oossanen Naval architects.
The hull has been perfectly engineered by Heesen’s in-house team and crafted by the shipyard’s highly skilled welders. Two MTU 16V 4000 M65L (IMO Tier III) engines propel the yacht up to 22 knots and deliver a transatlantic range of 3,900Nm at 13 knots. A draft of just 2.3 metres makes her an ideal platform from which to explore the turquoise shallows of the Bahamas.
Heesen’s CCO Mark Cavendish comments: “Santosha is a yacht designed for those who appreciate the finer things in life, combining elegance with practicality and meticulous attention to detail with a relaxed ambience. It stands as a true testament to Heesen Yachts’ commitment to excellence and innovation in yacht building.”

The 47th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival – the inaugural event of the sailing season and Europe’s largest inwater boat show – is back from 10 to 15 September 2024, at the heart of the French Riviera.
From the Vieux Port to Port Canto, the show, which benefits from a new marina covering 2,000 m², will bring together the best of what the international boating sector offers and feature more than 160 new products and world previews. With 600 exhibitors from all over the world presenting almost 700 monohull, multihull, rigid, semirigid, new or previously owned sail and motor boats from 5 to 50 metres long, alongside a host of the latest-generation equipment, the Cannes Yachting Festival is the unmissable event for yachting.
A great new feature this year: Port Canto, with its new Marina dedicated to Power Boats, will almost equal the Vieux Port in terms of the number of boats on display. In fact almost 350 boats will be exhibited each side of the Croisette. For the first time,
visitors will be able to go all the way round Port Canto, in a +/- 2.5 km loop. The port will offer an even clearer and simplified tour with virtually a quay, or a large area, dedicated to a type of boat. Located between the Sailing and Yacht Brokerage & Toys areas that have been accommodated in Port Canto for several years, the new area dedicated to power boats will cover around 2,000 m² and provide more than 300 m of linear quayside to present 170 motor boats (140 inwater and thirty ashore), with rigid or semirigid hulls. A selection of outboard engines suitable for these boat sizes will also be presented next to the boats.
Port Canto will also be exhibiting 120 new sail boats over 10 metres long and around 50 previouslyowned large yachts from 24 metres long, exhibited respectively in the Sailing and Yacht Brokerage areas.
Several traversantes (pontoons with a motorised central part) will enable visitors to go from one area to the other and small motor boats to go out for sea trials from time to time.
The new Power Boat Marina will accommodate a new dining area with almost 130 tables with a view looking out at the boats on display. The new VIP Club, located on the roof of the Harbour Master’s Office and furnished by Roche Bobois, French manufacturer of high-end furniture and loyal partner of the exhibition, will give visitors a 180-degree view of all of Port Canto, one of the most beautiful views of the exhibition!
In the heart of the city, the Vieux Port remains the home port for the motor boat industry, with the wealth and range of what it offers. In water, 350 new boats from 10 to 50 metres long – monohulls and multihulls, with rigid or semirigid hulls – will be exhibited by the greatest names in French and international yachting, alongside all the equipment manufacturers and service companies that work with this industry. Large inwater yachts will be moored in their usual locations at the Jetée and the Super Yachts Extension.
Like Port Canto, the Vieux Port will also be subject to new arrangements:
- The main entrance will be moved next to the famous steps film stars walk up during the Film Festival and near the Croisette.
- The engine manufacturers that equip the mega yachts can be seen along the beach opposite
the Palais. They will introduce new exhibition structures.
- A new entrance will be opened at the heart of the Pantiero (replacing the one at Quai Max Laubeuf). This entrance will be accessible to visitors, journalists and exhibitors.
“2024 represents a year of adaptation and new opportunities for the Cannes Yachting Festival. With the works on the Vieux Port underway, we have redesigned the organisation of certain areas to replace them with other different and innovative spaces, such as the creation of a new large marina in Port Canto. The exhibition teams have risen to the challenge, and I am very enthusiastic and proud of the next edition we will be offering our exhibitors and visitors. Once again the Cannes Yachting Festival will be a magnificent setting for all these jewels of the seas and will highlight the unique craftsmanship and experts in boat building,” explains Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Cannes Yachting Festival, continuing: “As is the case every year, it will be extremely easy and fast to get around, with the option of going from one port to the other thanks to free sea shuttles.“
In 2024, the Cannes Yachting Festival will also be enriched with an “Innovation Route”, aimed at promoting innovations that convey a break from nautical technology and are environmentally-friendly: engines, propulsion, waste management, end-of-life, ecodesign, optimisation, innovative materials, services… This year, all the projects and initiatives implemented to support a more sustainable industry will be highlighted with special signage.
“Like all the others, the marine industry cannot avoid environmental challenges, and has understood that it has to evolve to meet the sector’s decarbonisation needs and the new requirements of boaters. It seemed vital to us to make our contribution to the effort by recognising the efforts our exhibitors are making and the energy they are putting into building the future of the nautical sector. Work on composites, recyclable resins, more respectful engines, but also design for aerodynamics or connectivity for better efficiency… there are certainly lots of initiatives! We are happy to showcase them, as our goal for all is to preserve our seas and oceans, especially for future generations.” concludes Sylvie Ernoult, director of the Cannes Yachting Festival.
Welcome to Tiaré, a luxurious yet traditional Indonesian Phinisi that will take you on a journey of discovery to some of the most stunning diving spots in the world.
The Tiaré began as the dream of 5 cousins, discussed over a summer dinner party.
This dream to create a luxurious dive boat built by the master builders of South Sulawesi came together with careful design, the sturdiest and most beautiful materials sourced from sustainable sources, high-tech components and safety equipment… and of course, time.
Experience diving in the rich waters of the Indonesian archipelago and meet people from the many different cultures on the diverse Indonesian islands that you would never have the opportunity to see while staying in more tourist-heavy areas.
Tiaré offers a spectacular experience for divers as well as non-divers, with bright airy cabins, spacious bathrooms and a large front deck where you can socialize, eat under the stars or just relax in the Indonesian sunshine. There is also a separate diving deck with hot water showers to warm up after a night dive.
All indoor and outdoor living areas, decks, and cabins are made with antique teak salvaged from old Joglos, which not only gives the feel of “real Indonesia”, but has helped to reduce the use of Indonesia’s disappearing rainforests.
Designed to be a space where you
feel totally at home with an extra touch of luxury, comfortable couches and tables are the perfect place to socialize and catch up with your fellow divers. If you need to rest, have a nap, read a book or watch a film. A bar stocked with imported wines and a selection of other drinks is a welcome treat after a day of diving and a small cigar store is available for cigar connoisseurs. As well as comfortable couches, the airconditioned indoor lounge also has tables where dinner can be served as an alternative to the main deck depending on weather conditions and your preference. There are also PCs where you can edit photos or videos and also an indoor camera room, which has plenty of room to store your lenses, charges, lights and even your spare cameras.
Bow lounge
friendly body wash and shampoo.
Two triple cabins are spacious enough to accommodate two adults and one child or three adults, with under-bed storage to ensure ease of movement around the cabin. The other four cabins, two twin and two double, accommodate two adults each for a maximum capacity of 14 guests.
In addition to the indoor living area, the outdoor bow lounge is a space to enjoy and experience the freedom of being at sea. Watch the crew at work, birds flying overhead or count the millions of stars in the clear night sky from comfortable loungers and couches.
With 14 guests on board Tiaré is comfortable and spacious enough for both a social atmosphere and space to relax and enjoy down time in the luxurious cabins.
From the idyllic Balearic isle of Palma de Mallorca to the Mediterranean hotspot of Ibiza, Greenline runs a real-world example of a sun-filled family cruise aboard its 45 Coupe with the latest 6G Hybrid system.
The Greenline 45 Coupe is the ideal family weekender. Available in several versions with two cabins and two bathrooms or three cabins and two bathrooms, the full-beam owner’s cabin is in the centre of the boat, the most comfortable and stable position. The third cabin can also be orderd as an fully furnished office to meet remote work requirements.
Outside, there is a beautiful cockpit area with bench seating and table, totally open to the saloon thanks to the sliding glass windows, while the sunpad in the bow comes with a folding bimini for the hottest part of the day. The large bathing platform provides easy access to the sea and to the toy storage garage.
The interior designed by Marco Casali is elegant and warm and bathed in light through the large
windows. The galley aft is practical for both indoor and outdoor dining. Forward is a comfy L-shaped saloon with a choice of elegant furnishings.
But there’s more to the Greenline 45 Coupe than just cruising comfort. Responsible yachting has always been a priority for the Slovenia-
based boatbuilder, which produced its first hybrid model over 15 years ago. Its latest 6G H-Drive system, able to cut emissions by up to 40% per year across the typical use cycle of a Greenline yacht, will be showcased at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 aboard the flagship 58 Fly Hybrid.
“We believe modern boaters are ready for the next step in the evolution of leisure boating and are becoming increasingly more aware that we are the only ones that can preserve the environment for our children and grandchildren to enjoy,” says Vladimir Zinchenko, Greenline owner and CEO.
The middle-of-the-range Greenline 45 Coupe with the 6G Hybrid was the perfect candidate to demonstrate exactly how the brand’s ongoing research into hull efficiency and sustainable solutions provides carefree family moments on the water while reducing operational costs and impacts on the environment.
Apart from the convenience of having electricity available at all times, the advantage of hybrid drive is silent and emission-less navigation. It also allows for cruising for up to 20 nautical miles at 4-5 knots on a full battery charge, which is more than enough for a typical day on the water which would be an emission free trip. Moreover, the running costs of electric boating can be 10 times lower than burning diesel fuel.
to Ibiza with an overnight stopover at anchor in a bay near Andratx, a total distance of about 60nm. The results may surprise you.”
In the early morning, the Greenline 45 Coupe smoothly left the marina in Palma using its electric motor and running the air-condition of the battery. After a quick top-up at the fueling station, it continued its journey towards its first stopover.
But even without the hybrid system, there are huge benefits from Greenline’s standard fit solar panels. These are constantly creating renewable energy and feeding the battery bank so that onboard lighting and refrigeration, even air conditioning, can be run without having to rely on a diesel generator. That means no noise, no vibration, no emissions, and no more warm bottles of wine!
“We’ve been in this game since our launch, so our yachts are miles ahead of the competition when it comes to efficient hybrid propulsion and silent hotellerie,” says chief commercial officer Luca Raumland . “But to illustrate a typical application of our hybrid system, we ran a case study based on a trip from Palma de Mallorca
80%.
The scenic journey from Palma to Andratx , a distance of about 20nm, takes about one hour at an average speed of 20 kts. In Diesel mode the electric motor turns into a generator and charges the batteries. After just 15 minutes, the battery level is already back at 100%.
We anchor in an idyllic bay of Andratx in the south west of Mallorca for 48 hours while family members take a swim and sunbathe
before sunset cocktails and dinner with only the sound of the water lapping the sides of the boat. All of the home appliances including the A/C in smart mode are running off the battery bank. Including the electric manoeuvring in the bay, the battery is at around 10% 48 hours later.
Departing Andratx for Ibiza, the Greenline 45 Coupe cruises using its efficient diesel engine. The electric motor turns again into a generator and charges the LiPo batteries. After the two-hour ride we arrive with 100% battery power.
Approaching Ibiza, known for its nightlife and traditional houses that stand out for the whiteness of their lime-covered façades, we switch into electric mode and enter the bay silently. The Greenline 45 Coupe stays in the north of the island for another 48 hours. All of the home appliances, including the air conditioning in smart mode, are run off the batteries. By the end of our stay the battery level is at 10%, which will recharge completely as we start the crossing back to Palma in diesel mode at the end of a perfect long weekend.

1904, the year in which Paris saw the birth of a new luxury fashion house, Ernest Chausseur, a stone’s throw from the famous Moulin Rouge.
Dancers, women of the world, artists - the whole of Paris was thrilled by the House’s first creations. It gradually became a benchmark brand, creating veritable objects of fantasy.
Helmut Newton, Berlin’s master photographer, fell under the spell of “Elysée”, irresistible at just 14cm tall. He decided to sublimate femininity in his work, making Ernest his faithful ally.
At the dawn of wisdom, in the 80s, Ernest accompanied celebrities, to sublimate them, in the Parisian nightlife.
Ernest turns heads… it was the first brand, to make its creations an object driven solely by desire.
In the 80s, the first artistic crushes with fashion icons. Jean-Paul Gaultier, a great admirer of the brand, was involved in the creation of the iconic “GO” shoe.
The friendship between Ernest and the designer, in the sailor suit, led to several collaborations on catwalk shows and advertisements.
Despite its incredible heritage, the iconic Parisian fashion house had fallen a little asleep by the early 2000s...
Since 2020, a new tandem with Ludovic Dedieu Wallerand as Managing Director and Isabelle Bordji as Artistic Director has woken up the sleeping beauty and brought Maison Ernest back to centre stage.
Beyonce, Monica Bellucci, Kylie Minogue, Kate Moss, Cardi, B, Muni Long, Madonna, Barbie, and a host of European and American actresses have all come into contact with Maison Ernest’s creations.
Maison Ernest has never renounced the excellence of its know-how, the materials used and its incredible comfort, which makes you feel like a Hollywood star for hours on end...
“That’s why a Maison Ernest creation is so jubilant and addictive...”

After introducing its 100 Years of Meisterstück campaign in May with a short film written and directed by award-winning director and screenwriter Wes Anderson, Montblanc delves deeper into its extraordinary world in a series of new campaign visuals.
The campaign continues with a series of visuals that pay tribute to the iconic Meisterstück writing instrument’s 100th anniversary and spotlight Montblanc leather pieces from its latest collections.
The new campaign visuals transport audiences back to the snowy peak of the Mont Blanc mountain and the whimsical Montblanc universe that
Anderson reimagined in his short film. Familiar faces from the first chapter of the campaign have been captured by photographer Charlie Gray, including actor Rupert Friend, Korean actor and Montblanc Mark Maker Lee Jinuk, Chinese actor and Montblanc Global Brand Ambassador Jing Boran, and Indian-American actor and designer Waris Ahluwalia.
Alongside the iconic Meisterstück fountain pen with its black cigarshaped design, three gold rings and handcrafted gold nib, the new campaign visuals feature the Extreme 3.0 leather collection in a new lavender grey color. With an original, geometric motif hailing from Montblanc’s visual language from the 1920s and the M LOCK 4810 closure inspired by the secure yet easy-to-handle closures used by mountaineers, the contemporary leather collection brings together Montblanc’s rich heritage with modern, daring shapes that combine style and functionality.
Hero products featured in the latest installment of the campaign include the Extreme 3.0 Backpack with M LOCK 4810 buckle, the Extreme 3.0 Montblanc 142 Bag Mini with M LOCK 4810 buckle sported by Rupert Friend and Jing Boran, and the Extreme 3.0 Sling Bag with M
LOCK 4810 buckle worn cross-body by Lee Jinuk.
Launched this past Spring, the original campaign film reintroduced Montblanc to the world in Wes Anderson’s signature style with its distinctive visual aesthetic and blend of eccentric, unconventional storytelling. The story follows three colorful
characters - actors Rupert Friend, Jason Schwartzman, and Wes Anderson himself - at the fictional Montblanc Headquarters located at the peak of the Mont Blanc mountain, as they introduce the Maison, its story and debate the qualities most of its recognized creation, the Meisterstück fountain pen.

Fabergé, the world’s most iconic artist jeweller, has collaborated with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products to introduce the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice® fine jewellery collection.
This new collection pays homage to “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” the visually singular and long-awaited sequel to Tim Burton’s awardwinning film “Beetlejuice” (1988). “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” will be released only in theatres and IMAX, internationally beginning on 4th September 2024, and on 6th September 2024 in the US.
A triad of co-designers and pioneering leaders in the creative industry have brought to life the eccentric universe of this collection, which marries the Fabergé and Beetlejuice worlds in an enchanting way. With a style so distinct that ‘Burtonesque’ has been coined as an adjective, Tim Burton has collaborated closely with worldrenowned Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood (Alice in Wonderland, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sleepy Hollow) and Fabergé Head of Design, Liisa Tallgren. Led by Fabergé Creative Director, Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell, this ensemble of creative minds has come together to create a collection that encapsulates colour and
craftsmanship and is set to capture the imagination of a new audience.
Josina von dem Bussche-Kessell says: “In every partnership we forge, we look for like-minded care and attention to creativity and a fearless commitment to challenging the status quo, and in the process, offer something unexpected and surprising. Colleen and Tim are true innovators and creative geniuses in their storytelling, and together we have created a collection which is modern and humorous and pays homage to their work on the big screen. It has been an extremely harmonious collaboration, filled with pure joy all the way. I am very proud of what we’ve achieved together.”
Available from 20th August, the collection comprises 18k white gold earrings, pendants, lapel pins, collar bars and rings, inspired by the shape of a spiral, a motif prevalent in Tim Burton’s iconic films, and by two eerie Beetlejuice characters: Headworm and Sandworm. Each piece features a responsibly mined Gemfields emerald or ruby, cut to be round, oval or pear-shaped. Gemfields is a world-leading responsible miner and marketer of coloured gemstones, which strives to provide a positive impact to the country from which the gemstones originate. The fiery, vivid red gems
which feature in this collection were mined at Montepuez Ruby Mining in Mozambique, and the glowing green emeralds were mined at Kagem Mining in Zambia, both of which are majority owned and operated by Gemfields. These colourful gemstones are surrounded by round brilliantcut white diamonds. Each piece is painted with black, red or green UV enamel, the art of enamel being a craft technique synonymous with Fabergé.
These contemporary pieces can be styled alone or together as a set, with each design paying homage to a key theme or character from the upcoming “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” film. The colour palette has been carefully chosen to reflect the hues in the leading characters’ costumes.
Colleen Atwood says of the collection “I have always considered Fabergé to be like a beautiful piece of art. My first experience with the Maison was at an exhibition of its historical pieces in a museum many
years ago; the creations I saw were so amazing, I felt inspired to dig a little deeper to learn more about the magical objects and jewels they produced. I feel honoured to be partnering with Fabergé because I have always admired their creations – I really can’t believe I’m part of something so perfectly attuned to design and craft, and it has been such fun to see it all come together.
Costume design and Fabergé go together like kindred spirits. Both are constantly changing and evolving, and each uses classic technology alongside more
innovative techniques in the creative process with the ultimate goal of creating beauty and bringing joy to others.
I have immensely enjoyed the process of putting pencil to paper and watching our ideas evolve. There are no real barriers to bringing creativity to beautiful gems, each one with its own nuanced colour, and there are almost limitless possibilities with design. A quirky sense of fun is reflected in this collection and the hypnotic spirals and characterful
motifs epitomise the spirit of Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.”
Liisa Tallgren says of the collection: “I was inspired by the original “Beetlejuice” film (1988), in which a character called Betelgeuse, the Afterlife’s leading Bio-exorcist, appears as an eerie creature with a carousel head and spiral arms that unwind to form arms with mallets for hands. Throughout the films, Betelgeuse is dressed in a black and white suit, so we have dressed our collection in the same style to epitomise this.
The green glow of the Afterlife is reflected in the emeralds, and the red rubies are reminiscent of the red wedding dress and suit, both of which feature in one of Betelgeuse’s dreams. The world of Beetlejuice has mysterious black and white striped Sandworms with red eyes and green lips, again reflected in the use of rubies and emeralds, which have also inspired the spiralling snake rings. The collar bars in the collection are inspired by the Headworm, one of the forms that Betelgeuse takes to terrorise the living.”
Fabergé’s iconic egg motif is expressed in the Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice White Gold Spiral Egg Drop Earrings and Pendants, which are available with either a Mozambican ruby or Zambian emerald, in complementing green or red UV enamel and surrounded by white diamonds. The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice White Gold Spiral Collar Bars and Lapel Pins feature either a Mozambican ruby or a Zambian emerald at the centre of the spiral design and are surrounded by black UV enamel and diamonds. The striped monochrome elements within these designs echo the visuals in the films and mimic the stripes on the Sandworm creatures.
The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice White Gold Straight and Twisted Headworm Collar Bars feature the miniature heads of the Headworm, and each design features round or pear-shaped Mozambican rubies or Zambian emeralds.
The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice White Gold Sandworm Spiral Wrap Rings feature a pearshaped Zambian emerald or Mozambican ruby surrounded by white diamonds and two-tone red or green UV enamel. The pearshared gemstones resemble the shape of the Sandworm creature’s head. The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice White Gold Bombe Rings are reminiscent of the spiral shape, and the monochrome colours are lifted by an oval-shaped ruby or emerald set into the centre of the spiral, almost like the centre of a vortex.
Tim Burton says of the collection; “This collaboration with Fabergé is a very exciting opportunity to merge the world of Beetlejuice with the legendary jewellery house – I am very honoured.”
The Fabergé x Beetlejuice Beetlejuice® collection is exclusively available online at Fabergé.com and Saks.com, and via Fabergé’s ‘By Appointment’ service from Tuesday 20th August 2024. Limited stock will be available for the launch, followed by preorders. The collection retails from £6,800/$8,442 to £16,500/$20,520.
The Buccellati High Jewellery and Silversmith Maison is delighted to announce its participation in the third edition of Homo Faber, to be held from September 1st to September 30th at the Giorgio Cini Foundation, on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice.
For the second time running, Buccellati has been invited to take part in this prestigious cultural event dedicated to the celebration of art, creativity and contemporary craftsmanship, and the role they play in our daily lives. On the occasion of the event, the Maison presents two distinct projects: the first one is dedicated to the art de la table , with a special centerpiece composed of artichokes, celebrating their rich symbolism and Nature as a source of inspiration; the second one pays tribute to the craftsmanship of high jewellery.
Homo Faber proposes a sensory journey to discover the savoir faire by offering an experience enriched by evocative sets, participatory workshops and much more, allowing the public to discover great talents in the most diverse manufactures and their splendid objects. The Michelangelo Foundation, curator of the event, entrusted the artistic direction to Luca Guadagnino, film director and producer, and Nicolò Rosmarini, a young architect from Milan. Together they developed the theme of ‘The Journey of Life’, from an idea by Hanneli Rupert,
Vice President of the Michelangelo Foundation. Guadagnino and Rosmarini’s work leads visitors to discover all the moments in our lives in which craftsmanship still plays a special role. Buccellati is part of this context with two projects celebrating the value and timelessness of the handmade things: a large and singular silver creation of the art de la table in the Cenacolo Palladiano Hall, dedicated to the theme ‘Celebration’, and an immersive exhibition dedicated to jewellery in the Arazzi Hall celebrating the theme ‘of Love and Union’.
“‘We are very honoured to take part for the second time in this extremely important cultural event, which even more this year has found the right fil rouge to link past, present and future with the theme The Journey of Life, in which our Maison is very much reflected,’ comments Andrea Buccellati, Honorary President and Creative Director of the Maison.
Armatae Flores, the majestic centrepiece displayed in the Cenacolo Palladiano Hall, is composed of a garland of handmade artichokes, with handles developed like leaves crowning a silicified wooden base. It is the ideal object to embellish a table on special occasions, such as festivities and celebrations. Moreover, a limited series of individual artichokes enriches the composition, testifying in an original way how Nature has always been a great source of inspiration for many of the Maison’s creations. For Buccellati, the artichoke acquires all the meanings and symbols that have been attributed to it over the centuries: a complex element with dual, fascinating characteristics. Greek mythology, for example, tells the story of Zeus who, once rejected by the beautiful Cynara, transformed her into a green and thorny vegetable: the colour of the vegetable would recall the eyes of the maiden, the thorns the many pains the god suffered for this unrequited love, and the heart, still sweet, that of Cynara.
The story of the Buccellati artichoke began in the 1960s.
Gianmaria Buccellati continued in the footsteps of his father Mario, a fine silversmith, and realized the potential of Art de la Table, enriching it with precious objects inspired by Nature that tickled the human imagination, not only for their aesthetics and passion for detail, but for the intrinsic functionality they embodied, radically transforming the concept of the decorative object. He therefore produces a series of vegetables, including the thorny artichoke, inside the leaves of which Gianmaria cleverly conceals the mechanism of a cigarette lighter. The result is surprising for the unusual shape and new function given to this vegetable. Thanks to the continuous research in the Maison Archives and the campaign of new acquisitions, a rare exemplar, recently restored and brought back to its former glory, can now be admired in the Buccellati Historical Collection.
The jewellery project, which goes by the name of Idyllium Floralis, on display in the Arazzi Hall, interprets eternal love: the perfectly circular shape of the Eternelle rings and the bangle bracelet well communicate infinite and unbroken love.
Throughout the dates of the exhibition, a goldsmith will be present to demonstrate several techniques applied to the Eternelle rings, one of which has tulle work and the other combined with the bangle bracelet, in gold decorated with lilac enamel with a pattern composed of garlands and flowers all over the band.
The rings are representative of the Buccellati style and its DNA, and therefore iconic objects throughout the Maison’s creative history. The bracelet is presented as a summa of inspirations and refined techniques, with a rich garland of diamonds in the centre, recalling the idea of union and eternal love. Visitors will thus have the opportunity to feel as if they were inside a real goldsmith’s workshop and to admire at close quarters how the craftsman’s skilled hands shape the jewel into the final, always unique work.
Gerald Charles is delighted to announce the new exclusive Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916, Ref. GC4.0-CF-11. Created in collaboration with Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati, this new timepiece celebrates the 30th anniversary of the legendary Ducati 916 motorcycle. In keeping with the Maison key traits, the watch features the iconic Maestro case and a vulcanised rubber strap, available in Ruby Red.
With only 250 pieces produced, the Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916 was the collaborative vision of CEOs: Mr. Federico Ziviani from Gerald Charles and Mr. Claudio Domenicali from Ducati. Both companies carry on an important artistic heritage from their former designers: Mr. Gérald Charles Genta and Mr. Massimo Tamburini. The Maestro 4.0 is influenced by these two individuals and celebrates design as an artistic expression of both worlds, seamlessly blending the precision of watchmaking with the fervour of motorcycling.
This partnership is a pivotal moment in watchmaking history, combining Gerald Charles’ expertise with the enduring legacy of Ducati.
The GC4.0-CF-11 serves as a subtle homage to the iconic Ducati 916 motorcycle, capturing its spirit in meticulously crafted details.
“We are very proud of the result of this collaboration with Gerald Charles. Together, we present an extraordinary watch that pays homage to an authentic icon like the Ducati 916. The joint work of the Design Centers began with a precise idea in mind and did not stop in the face of technical and design complexities. This approach adds further value to a high-quality object that, from the first glance, reflects the values shared by Ducati and Gerald Charles: passion, craftsmanship, and attention to detail.”, Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO.
For the first time in over 13 years, Gerald Charles has reintroduced the jumping hour complication, one of the most iconic complications of Mr. Genta’s designs. This piece represents an evolution from the historical Gerald Charles jumping hour Maestro 39, manufactured prior 2011 when the founder was still the Maison’s designer-in-chief.
Devised for both durability and design, the watch features a mat black ceramic bezel on a marbledblack Carbon Forged case body, seamlessly integrated with Grade 5 Titanium crown, case-back and buckle - a testament to Gerald Charles’s unwavering commitment to excellence. These materials, known in the motorcycle world as superlight and resistant, were ideal for this new watch. In addition, the finishings are an ode to race track asphalt. Due to the special case construction, high water-resistance to 10 ATM/100 mt and 5G shockresistance are guaranteed.
At its core, the timepiece boasts an in-house, proprietary developed new jumping hour calibre, featuring the Gerald Charles movement, Ref. GCA 3002JH. This complication, a result of R&D studies that reach new level of performance, pays homage to the brand’s heritage, inspired from Mr. Genta, and his affinity for this distinctive complication.
At the centre of the case, a central wheel has been added as a subtle nod to the original Ducati 916-wheel rim. The golden jumping hour disk mirrors the motorcycle’s original three-spoke bronze alloy wheel, with black contours enhancing the colour contrast.
In a refined touch, the top sapphire includes a “guichet” frame, also adorned with SuperLuminovainfused red contours, offering a subtle view of the hour when lights go down.
Gerald Charles’ savoir-faire meets Ducati’s vibrant identity
“To create this timepiece, we encountered many challenges between the design and the creation of the watch, especially in terms of balancing the weight. When we started, the disk was unbalanced due to the different numbers weight. We had to develop a system with a circular black outer line at the top so that all the numerals were held together by two lines, the inner and the outer. This way, although the numerals seem to be on the dial, the reality is that the numerals, the central wheel and the outer line are all together on a big disk that turns.”, Octavio Garcia, Gerald Charles Head of Creative team.
The movement supports a twolevel dial with the jumping hour disk on top. The 12-hour markers are in vivid red and filled with red SuperLuminova.
The Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916 is the perfect marriage of the two brands. Starting from Gerald Charles’ iconic features, namely the Maestro case and the vulcanised rubber strapboth original drawings by Mr. Genta - Ducati’s vibrant identity features have been added.
Gerald Charles commitment to new complications
Mr. Federico Ziviani – CEO of Gerald Charles: ‘’in keeping with the promise to introduce one complication per year, we have decided to launch the Jumping
Hour complication. This timepiece features an open-worked Ducati wheel to display time by rotation, perfectly in line with Mr. Genta’s preference towards unconventional complications. Obviously, the skeletonised motorcycle wheel inserted in a jumping hour disk represented several engineering challenges. It took a year and a half of R&D to succeed in paying homage to the iconic Ducati 916. This limited edition is the perfect representation of Artistic Creativity and Technical Mastery. Our aim is to break the rules of conventional watchmaking while maintaining design harmony and mechanical performance as priorities’’.
To commemorate this extraordinary partnership, the sapphire crystal-back proudly
displays the see-through movement bridges and golden rotor, enriched by the Ducati 916 logo. Exclusively for Ducati passionate clients who bought the Panigale V4 SP2 30° Anniversario 916 motorcycle, the bike serial number may be engraved on the watch caseback. The Maestro 4.0 Ducati 30° Anniversario 916 transforms itself into an emblem of shared passion and timeless design.
Moreover, alongside each limited edition piece, a dedicated lithographic sketch of the watch designed by Mr. Octavio Garcia will be gifted. Each watch will be released as a limited edition of 250 pieces — a true treasure for watch collectors and Ducati enthusiasts.
Venezianico reinterprets its diver watch with a special dial treated in 24-carat gold, paying tribute to Venetian craftsmanship that evokes the golden details of the Basilica of San Marco.
A symbol of the wealth and magnificence of the Serenissima Republic, Venetian craftsmanship has ancient roots, dating back to the Byzantine period when the lagoon city became a center of refined artistic production. Skilled artisans created extraordinary works using techniques passed down from generation to generation, as evidenced by the golden details of the Basilica of San Marco. This mastery in the use of gold adorned not only Venetian churches and palaces but also artifacts representing the power and grandeur of the Republic.
Embodying the values of “Venetianity,” the Morelli brothers today reinterpret their diver, the Nereide, with a 42mm case made of 316L steel, applying a special 24-carat gold-finished dial that recalls the ancient lamination of precious metals.
An emotional homage to the gilded inner walls of the Basilica of San Marco, covered with mosaics from the 9th and 13th centuries, made with colored and gilded glass tesserae depicting biblical scenes, saints, and geometric decorations, following a medieval technique
that used thin gold leaf on glass, covering over 8,000 square meters of surface area.
The noble metal, whose craftsmanship made Venice famous over the centuries and requires uncommon artisanal skill, is presented on the dials of the Nereide Aureo with an extraordinary rippled finish that makes each model a unique piece. Each metal disc undergoes a tumbling process to achieve a surface with deliberate imperfections, followed by a galvanic treatment where it is immersed in an electrolytic solution containing pure gold particles.
The subsequent application of electric current allows the particles to deposit evenly on the surface of the disc, creating a durable and brilliant gold layer that, coated with transparent protective varnishes, is shielded from scratches, oxidation, and other damage, ensuring superior durability and resistance compared to traditional lamination methods, all to guarantee an impeccable and resilient surface.
The treatment offers the dial, enriched with baton indexes in Super-LumiNova® BGW9 for perfect night vision, not only the same aesthetic quality as lamination but also superior resistance and uniformity over time. Everything is perfectly harmonized under highquality sapphire glass, with the unidirectional bezel in polished tungsten, one of the hardest materials in the world.
To count hours, minutes, and seconds, within the elegant and satin-finished case lines, there is the Swiss precision of the Sellita SW200 movement, while the case back pays homage, through engraving, to the majesty of the main nave of the Basilica of San Marco, with its walls adorned with gold leaf, simultaneously celebrating the rich artisanal tradition of Venetian goldbeaters.
The watch is completed by a new bracelet inspired by the works of Renaissance sculptor Jacopo Sansovino, known for his mastery
and attention to detail. Composed of five links, two polished and three satin-finished, the Sansovino Bracelet, through a solid deployant clasp with dual finish and microadjustment, ensures a comfortable and secure fit, ideal for diving enthusiasts and those who love the perfect balance between elegance and sportiness.

Dame Kelly Holmes, an iconic figure in the world of athletics, not only inspires us with her remarkable sporting achievements but also with her unwavering resilience and dedication to health and wellness.
As a double Olympic gold medalist and army veteran, Dame Kelly embodies the pinnacle of physical excellence and perseverance. Beyond the track, her journey is a testament to the importance of holistic well-being. We were lucky enough to sit down with her to discuss the benefits of supporting an active lifestyle with her favourite Ancient + Brave products.
Kelly, you’re such an incredible advocate for sharing the importance of physical activity for people’s well-being & mental health. Can you tell us why you’re so passionate about leading an active life?
From a psychological point of view, doing something for yourself is important. From a physical point of view, we undergo changes at different stages of our lives. Maybe you start experiencing aches and pains, feeling more lethargic, or noticing you are unable to do as
much as you used to, and this all affects your mental health. So, for me, it’s really important that we have a lifestyle that is active.
You’ve achieved so much in your career, and many obstacles and setbacks to achieve extraordinary success, injury often being one of them. Where did nutrition play a role in this and what helped you to recover and get back into training? When I was an elite athlete, it was all about getting the right fuel to perform and do all the different types of training that was required. Now, I still really enjoy keeping fit, but my nutrition has changed. I’m busy, like a lot of people, so I graze, and I eat on the go. That’s why I love working with Ancient + Brave, because for me it is convenient to take.
And how do you approach exercise and movement now?
After being retired for a while, but keeping active of course, my body shape changed again. Currently, I base my training around my working schedule, but I know I should also be fitting in recovery time, too. I do still want to achieve more though, because I want to prove to myself that I’m capable of still doing things as I age. Leading a healthy lifestyle
as you get older becomes even more important.
It seems more and more people are understanding the importance and enjoyment of movement to help them do what they love, but struggle to fit it in - what’s your top tips for people who are looking to gain more confidence and consistency with exercise?
I’d recommend people set some goals. Know what it is you want to achieve and why you want to achieve it. And be active with other people - recruit a friend to join you!
You’ve spoken openly about some of your struggles with perimenopausal symptoms, specifically pain. What’s your experience of joint pain and what helped you personally?
A couple of years ago, I got to a point where I was getting extreme body pain, to the point that I couldn’t even do one press up. I didn’t realise that joint and body pain were symptoms of perimenopause.
I came across Ancient + Brave and started taking True Collagen on a regular basis and my pain alleviated. I now feel stronger and more physically able than I’ve felt in such a long time.
Results from 3 weeks
“I take Noble Collagen to support my joints and help me feel like me again.”

Grey Wolfe is a luxury private members’ club dedicated to wellbeing.
Their mission is to guide members in finding harmony within their biological system and taking a holistic approach to wellness and healing by aligning the five life rhythms of members’ health: physical, mental, spiritual, social and emotional. Raising frequencies, and boosting inner energy flow to deliver improved longevity through a series of fully attuned BioHealth programmes.
Having transitioned to a membership model in January 2024, the new private members’ club provides a community for likeminded individuals seeking stateof-the-art holistic solutions to their wellbeing. A membership at Grey Wolfe is not a short-term fix, but a long-term commitment to one’s wellbeing. Empowering individuals to invest in their health and longevity by finding synergy and balance within the body. On the
new transition, the founder of Grey Wolfe, Sarah Jones St John, says:
“I wanted to shift the model of Grey Wolfe to grow and evolve. The future of wellness is connected and customised, designed to deliver a meaningful experience. It’s all about ‘journeys’ rather than individual treatments. What I have
experienced through life, is that healing is transformative and allows you to evolve into a better version of yourself. It involves navigating through life’s challenges, with the ultimate goal of inner renewal. So, while our technology was birthed by science, our curiosity and commitment to healing are led by the spirit.
Our unique philosophy rests on the foundation of helping the members flourish from within and tapping into the true, natural flow and balance. Through experts, therapists and ambassadors who blend a unique methodology of BioTech and BioTouch, our offering allows us to excel as pioneers in BioHarmony, which is integrated into the very core of Grey Wolfe.
We understand that wellness should be about curation and personalisation rather than a simple transaction. Driving change from the inside, we prompt our members to embark on a healing journey. The Grey Wolfe experience isn’t just about curing the symptoms, we’re committed to diving deeper into understanding the causes that allow our members to truly reach the healed and recharged version of themselves.”
Grey Wolfe believes in the healing power of solitude. That’s why every member gets the entire space to themselves whenever they visit, offering complete privacy to switch off, disconnect and fully recharge through frequency healing. It’s also why you’ll find them in the tranquil location of Barnes, South London. A part of town that has a slower pace and small village feel, which Instantly helps visitors disconnect from the fast pace of the city.
Fundamental to Grey Wolfe’s offering is the close and personal relationships they nurture with every member to unlock dis-ease from within. Every visit starts with a simple question - how do you feel? Which can be answered quite
flippantly. But Grey Wolfe probe deeper to discover how members really feel. From exhausted, foggyheaded, menopausal, burnt-out, the list goes on. The answer is the starting point of their wellbeing journey and the foundation of the route to their healing. Only when members are ready to express how they truly feel, can the healing process begin.
Comprehensive diagnostic results and health and nutritional data are supported by in-depth consultations that allow the Grey Wolfe team to expose dis-ease, however it manifests. Helping it heal through an array of fully attuned programmes. Individually rooted in ancient wisdom and contemporary science – synergising BioTech and BioTouch to help every member recharge.
The space itself has a minimal aesthetic, to avoid distractions and help members focus on healing.
The stone and wood interior,
warm, soft lighting and clean lines are purposeful. Creating a calming atmosphere to support both biological and neurological systems, while helping reduce stress and fatigue. Creating the ideal frequency for relaxation and rejuvenation.
Every member visit is attuned to their needs on the day and is usually a combination of Grey Wolfe’s BioTech and BioTouch programmes. Offering a wide range of Bio options to support members in finding balance within.

Balmain announces today the launch of its first beauty creation, a collection of eight all-gender eaux de parfum, “Les Éternels de Balmain.” This trailblazing fragrance experience was inspired by Pierre Balmain’s Parisian legacy and Olivier Rousteing’s modern influence on fashion, and now beauty.
Introducing Les Éternels de Balmain
Powered by a richly crafted duality of ingredients, Les Éternels de Balmain is inspired by the universal quest for self-realization and identity. This inaugural collection includes eight multi-layered scents from four distinctive olfactive families – Musk, Amber, Floral, and Woody.
Olivier Rousteing has been the lead architect of Balmain Beauty from inception, and in every aspect of creation from concept to scent development, to package design and campaign imagery. He studied perfumery, learning the creation process through hands-on training. After consulting Balmain’s storied archives, he handpicked four of Balmain’s legacy scents to be reinvented for the modern era: Vent Vert, Ivoire, Ébène, and Carbone. Four new fragrances complete the collection: Sel d’Ambre, Rouge, Bronze, and Bleu Infini.
“Balmain Beauty is forging a new, avant-garde space in luxury beauty that celebrates the legacy and
inclusive spirit of the iconic house of Balmain,” said Guillaume Jesel, who oversees Balmain Beauty as the President and CEO, TOM FORD and Luxury Business Development, The Estée Lauder Companies. “Olivier Rousteing is one of the most accomplished designers of his generation, inventing revolutionary concepts at the confluence of past, present, and future. It has been an extraordinary journey bringing his vision for Balmain Beauty to life.”
“Just like Olivier Rousteing’s most impressive runways, Balmain’s ambitious plans for future luxury growth build directly upon a skilled melding together of the richness of our singular heritage with a distinctively modern outlook,” explains Matteo Sgarbossa, Chief Executive Officer, Balmain. “Our agreement with The Estée Lauder Companies for Balmain Beauty is an obvious embodiment of that strategy. With this partnership, the house begins a new chapter, making very clear to all our commitment to maximizing cross-category possibilities as we move forward, driven by the passion of our ‘Balmain Army’ and determined to
fully realize this house’s potential to become a true leader in the luxury world.”
“Balmain Beauty embodies a steadfast commitment to excellence in perfumery, emphasizing not only the olfactive experience, but also the evocative emotions it elicits brought to life by an iconic visual campaign,” added Nathalie Berger Duquene, SVP, Global General Manager, Balmain Beauty, The Estée Lauder Companies. “The beauty of craftsmanship is exuded in both the packaging design and ingredients used. Our fragrances hold tension, power, and strength – they are quintessentially Balmain, rooted in diversity and inclusivity.”
The collection is inspired by Balmain’s first flacon created in 1946, a masterpiece of simplicity and timelessness. Duality was expressed in the design with contrasting elemental shapes of the circle and square, signature black and gold colors, and the label spread over two facets.
Building on this foundation, the new flacon delivers a multisensory and luxurious modern experience. The square is elongated into a lozenge; the Balmain signature rayure covering the glass echoes the gold collar’s existing texture; a new finish and color palette flatters the touch and the eye. On the cap, a graphic PB monogram symbolizes Balmain, extracted from the iconic 1970 brand labyrinth motif.
Forged in partnership with the Royal Armouries, the exquisite ‘Line of Kings’ collection of luxury razors from Wilde & Harte is inspired by the grand armours of English kings, dating back to the 16th Century.
The ‘Line of Kings’ is a magnificent parade of historic royal suits of armour, posed upon wooden horses. It is one of the world’s oldest visitor attractions, with a history at the Tower of London spanning over 350 years.

Katie Thomas (Director LAPADA Fringe) adds: “The introduction of the LAPADA Fringe is a wonderful opportunity for Mayfair’s worldfamous boutiques, restaurants, and galleries to work in partnership with the Fair through a programme of special events and collaborations. We look forward to showcasing this unique destination and all it has to offer to visitors to the Fair, opening doors to new stories and experiences across Mayfair and St James’s.”
One of the first events to be confirmed will be a special tour and recital at Handel Hendrix House on nearby 23-25 Brook Street on Thursday, 24th at 6pm. The Mayfair
museum that was once home to composer G.F. Handel and rock legend Jimi Hendrix reopened in May 2023 after a £3million refurbishment enabling visitors for the first time to come through the front door that Handel would have used and where he composed many of his most famous works such as Messiah. Tickets cost £60 and are on sale at https://handelhendrix.org/ events/lapada-fringe-tour-concert
As well as the newly added Fringe, several new names will be exhibiting at the Fair showing rare and fascinating items ranging from paintings to panelling to publications.
Situated in the heart of Mayfair, Heywood Hill, a London literary landmark, will be exhibiting at the fair for the very first time. They will be showing three exquisite and exclusive limitededition folio publications titled Florence: Dawn and Triumph of the Renaissance (one volume published, two upcoming), The Sistine Chapel (three volumes published) and Leonardo Da Vinci: Atlas Anatomicus – all from Italian publisher Scripta Maneant. The print runs of the Sistine and Florence volumes are both limited to 1,999 sets, the first gifted to His Holiness the Pope – with a price of £17,500 for each set. The Sistine Chapel took five years to create
and shows the exquisite detail of its frescoes by Michelangelo, with a hexachrome printing technique used to recreate every colourful aspect of the stunning interior. The first volume of Florence, shown at LAPADA, shows the definitive and intricate photographic depiction of the Cathedral focusing on Brunelleschi’s iconic dome, followed by the Bell Tower and Baptistry for the upcoming volumes. The Atlas Anatomicus shows Da Vinci’s complete corpus anatomical drawings from the Royal Collection of Windsor. In addition to these stunning books, during or before LAPADA visitors can book an exclusive 30-minute Library consultation with Heywood Hill’s Head of Libraries. The Heywood Hill Libraries Team specialise in assembling bespoke personal libraries, assembled by
hand, book-by-book, combining new and old publications.
Puritan Values, who specialise in important works of art circa 1850 to Circa 1950 will be showing a highly important fireplace and matching panelled room by George Trollope and Sons, who were based on West Halkin Street, Belgrave Square, London, first exhibited at the Paris Universal Exhibition in 1878 winning a Gold Medal for excellence. The set forms the four sides of a complete room that was exhibited as a boudoir room or petit salon with the Rosso Antico marble fireplace a standout feature. The room measures 21feet (6.4m) wide by 17 feet (5.2m) deep and 12feet (3.7m) high.
The Finch Project, an independently run gallery that nurtures a vibrant portfolio of emerging and midcareer artists, will be also exhibiting at the fair for the first time.
