MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD www.VisitMontgomery.com OVERVIEW Montgomery County consists of several popular locations, including: Chevy Chase, Silver Spring, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Rockville, and Bethesda. It also is home to an extensive array of wide-open spaces, unique venues and walkable town centers. Attendees can expect a unique blend of outdoor experiences when they visit, such as more than 400 parks and trails, a 93,000acre Agricultural Reserve, C&O Canal National Historical Park, Sugarloaf Mountain, historic sites, wineries, breweries and more.

UNIQUE PLACES & SPACES A museum of modern and contemporary art, Glenstone is integrated into nearly 300-acres of rolling pasture and unspoiled woodland in Potomac. Established by the not-for-profit Glenstone Foundation, the museum provides a contemplative, intimate setting for experiencing iconic works of art and architecture within a natural environment. the C&O Canal National Historical Park is a nature lovers dream. In January 2021, the park celebrated its 50th anniversary of becoming a U.S. National Park. Biking the canal towpath, hiking Billy Goat Trail, watching the Potomac River rapids at the Great Falls Overlook, and staying in a fully restored historic lockhouse are among the options here. Montgomery County also is home to a number of rural areas. In 1980, the Montgomery County Council created an Agricultural Reserve that has been heralded as one of the best examples of land conservation policies in the country. It has become one of the largest open-air tourism attractions in the nation, where travelers can enjoy scenic byways, wineries, breweries, historic attractions, pick-your-own farms, plus hiking at Sugarloaf Mountain. Montgomery County’s Tastemakers Trail is a self-guided craft beverage trail features 20-plus craft beverage producers offering an array of local beer, wine, cider, coffee and spirits.

Next door is the Woodlawn Manor Cultural Park and Underground Railroad Experience Trail, a cultural park, museum and trail.

PLACES TO MEET The Hilton Washington DC/Rockville Hotel and Executive Meeting Center in Rockville houses 315 guest rooms, 14 meeting rooms and 35,000-square feet of dedicated meeting and event space. The Atrium is its largest space, and has the capacity to accommodate up to 800 guests. The Millennium Trail, a 10.6-mile loop around Rockville, runs directly behind the property. Situated on 43-acres of manicured grounds, lush gardens and country trails is the historic William F. Bolger Center Conference Hotel. The property can accommodate almost any type of event with 431 rooms and 70,000square feet of meeting space.
