MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: Jim Lally Jim Lally, President and CEO at Enterprise Financial Services Corp (the parent company of Enterprise Bank & Trust), is a longstanding Member of the Missouri Athletic Club. He is a St. Louis native who takes great pride in attending high school and college in his hometown. For this family man, the Missouri Athletic Club has played a huge role in the lives of his four children and wife, Laura. Lally expressed, “This is home,” regarding MAC. Many years ago, Lally caught wind of the Club while he was working in downtown St. Louis. He had a friend who worked at the Club and declared that MAC was the spot to be. Lally recalled seeking more information and ultimately decided to join MAC in 2003 – the Club’s 100th anniversary. He remembered how special it was for new Members during such an influential time at the Club. MAC provides Members with a tremendous number of professional opportunities, and Lally knew he had to be part of the organization. Lally has guided people to a lifetime of financial success through Enterprise Bank & Trust since he joined MAC. Lally said Enterprise Bank & Trust takes pride in how they continue to help families with their major financial decisions. “We are focused on privately held businesses, their owners and their owners’ families. The secret to our success is recruiting others to our team who share the same passion” said Lally. Like MAC, Enterprise Bank & Trust regularly gives back to the St. Louis community through community development, diversity and inclusion programs, education through Enterprise University and much more. Lally encourages professionals and business owners to join Enterprise University (enterprisebank.com/eu) to take advantage of the no-cost business training courses, which are taught by experts in their fields. “We’ve invested in this program since 2004, and I’m proud that we have welcomed more than 30,000 people to our courses,” said Lally. Outside of Enterprise Bank & Trust and MAC, Lally is involved in the St. Louis community, finding it important to be involved in the community in which he is living. He is a current member of the St. Louis Aquarium Foundation Board, the Gateway Arch Park

Foundation Board of Trustees, the Wallis Companies Board, and the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation. He proudly represents the MAC throughout all his community involvement. The Club continues to house top-tier business people in the St. Louis community. While Lally can find a few co-workers at MAC, Enterprise Bank & Trust also supports the Club through various events. Lally guarantees every time he is in either Clubhouse, he may have an accidental run-in with another Member that, without question, results in a follow-up conversation. He sees his business and social life bump into each other at the Club that, in return, creates a genuine connection. “[The] Club allows you to be who you are at all times,” said Lally. MAC is never short of hosting a long list of truly incredible and memorable events. Lally said he always looks forward to the Jack Buck Awards, the main event that helps him kick off his holiday season. He remembers all the amazing St. Louis sports stars that have graced the event throughout the years. New to the event list this year, Enterprise Bank & Trust is sponsoring the MAC Speaker Series. Lally is thrilled to bring a mix of speakers to create an interesting dialogue. The series will bring a unique element to MAC with a wide range of speakers and interest groups. Lally is looking forward to the first speaker of the new year, Karl Rove. Lally initially viewed MAC as a club for older businessmen, but now he speaks first-hand about the Club’s family-oriented atmosphere. Lally and his family are regulars at both clubhouses, utilizing the workout facilities and the wonderful dining and social options. Even after 20 years, Lally said he and his family “Use the Club with great pride.” As a long-time Member, Lally and his wife Laura are excited to see families of all ages at MAC. Without question, Lally said the number one highlight of his membership at MAC is spending time with his kids. The MAC provided a place for the Lally family to connect on something they love—basketball. When his children were younger, you could always find him on the basketball court practicing drills with his kids on a regular basis. “These moments were about much more than improving their skills. It gave me time to listen to what was going on in their lives and really connect with them at a vulnerable time in their lives.” In addition to sports, the Lally family celebrates birthdays and other special occasions at the Club. The Club truly holds a special place in the hearts of the Lally family. “The Club always allows you to be who you are and gives you a chance to do many different activities,” said Lally. He adds that he can always trust that the service is always top-notch at MAC, and he is confident that MAC will maintain the camaraderie he has enjoyed for many years to come. F
