For meetings scheduled in Outlook that are not tied to a Webex Meeting, a setting within Webex must be checked to keep your Webex availability up to date.
To find this checkbox, click on your profile picture to open your Webex Options.
Select Privacy from the options on the left and then ensure that both Show Availability and Status and Show When in a Calendar Meeting are checked.
Click Save to complete the process.
Click either of the icons to learn more
To be able to make phone calls from the Webex App with your business phone number, you will need to submit a ticket.
For those who had mobile calling on Jabber, an additional request is not needed - you are all set!
To submit the ticket, visit the Service Portal or click here.
Once in the Portal:
1. Search for Telecom General Request.
2. Under the dropdown for Request Details, be sure to select Softphone (Setup/Modify).
3. In the textbox for More Information, provide additional details on the type of mobile device (Apple or Android).
Most types of files can be shared except .tif files, and the largest file size that you can upload is 2 GB.
To share a file, drag and drop a file into the desired Webex chat message box and then click Send.
Always have the latest file version at your fingertips.
Share a file directly from OneDrive or SharePoint by selecting from the dropdown options under Attachment. Click here to learn more.
Note: to use Webex on a mobile device, you will need to download both the Webex App and Webex Meetings App from either the Apple or Android store.
BTS invited me to this edition of the newsletter to provide you with useful Microsoft-related tips to help make collaborating simpler.
Files (documents, presentations, pictures etc.) stored in OneDrive can be accessed on any device that can connect to VPN or on an InTune-managed device
To access your OneDrive or see what files have been shared with you via OneDrive, visit office.com and sign-in with your Berkley email address.
Alternatively, all users have a OneDrive folder on their company computer - open File Explorer and then click OneDrive to open.
Any files added under OneDriveWRB will be moved to the cloud.
What are some additional features of OneDrive?
By storing in OneDrive, you can send a link out to multiple users and everyone can view and edit the same version of a document.
Gone are the days of sharing files via email, having multiple versions of the same file, and not knowing which is the correct one.
If a file is under your OneDrive, you can manage file permissions allowing other users view-only or editing privileges.
To secure a file under your OneDrive, you may also choose to remove users.
