Nevertheless, finding the road to excellence is in our nature, and so we are also working hard and humbly to create a range dedicated to pastry chefs and

We know we have set out along a highly ambitious and selective path, and for this reason we have decided to seek assistance not only from our 50 years of experience, but also from some of the world’s top pastry chefs. We have put ourselves on the line once again, and the tangible results are a new product range, which for the moment is limited, but is nonetheless of the highest professional standards.

PISTACHIO “VERDE
DI BRONTE PDO”
Italian patisserie and gelato parlour excellence Italian pistachios “Verde di Bronte”, threatened by imports of significantly inferior quality, have now obtained due recognition with European PDO product certification: this recognition, identified and protected with the CE DOP symbol on packaging and labels, helps prevent against abuse and counterfeiting. The Ministry of Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies has granted Montebianco authorisation to use this identification, having made the necessary checks on product and certifying the authenticity. This is an extremely important and exclusive recognition, considering that pistachio Verde di Bronte represent just 1% of worldwide production.
The Protected Denomination of Origin in question relates to a production zone located between 300 and 900 metres above sea level in the areas of Bronte, Adrano and Biancavilla.
The special qualities of the pistachio Verde di Bronte are the uniformly green colour of its flesh, as well as its pronounced flavour, making it the ideal choice for the production of nougat and other confectionery, as well as gelato. This prestigious type of pistachio is harvested beginning in the first week of September every two years, and a tree can only be harvested ten years after being planted.
