BOGOSHORTS Film Market - BFM, sección de industria del Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS, se ha constituido como el escenario ideal para fortalecer y potenciar a los diferentes actores del sector audiovisual interesados esencialmente en los formatos cortos, a través de estrategias de creación, formación, circulación y networking. Este año el mundo intenta seguir su curso y nosotros llegamos a esta versión del mercado llenos de pasión, de certezas, pero también de muchas preguntas. La industria se estaba cuestionando la forma de hacer las cosas aún antes del año 2020, ciertos modelos de financiación y circulación de contenidos estaban entrando en crisis; distintos jugadores de la industria buscaban e implantaban maneras diferentes de hacer las cosas; nuevos modelos de negocio se abrían para cuestionar nuestro vínculo sagrado con la sala de cine, y es en medio de esta incertidumbre que llega la pandemia. Entonces, nos recogimos en nuestros lugares a pensar y a consumir contenido, y fue tal vez esto lo que nos mantuvo a flote, lo que nos permitió reír, llorar, sentir empatía y rechazo por los personajes que le dieron vida a múltiples historias y que nos permitieron seguir conectados con los demás seres vivos. 6

BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market, industry section of the Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS, has become the ideal setting to strengthen and empower the different players in the audiovisual sector essentially interested in short formats, through creation, training, circulation, and networking strategies. This year the world tries to resume its course and we arrived at this version of the market full of passion, of certainties, but also with many questions. The industry was questioning the way of doing things even before the year 2020; certain models of financing and content circulation were entering a crisis, different industry players were looking for and implementing different ways of doing things, new business models were opening up to question our sacred bond with the movie theater, and it is in the midst of this uncertainty that the pandemic arrives. So, we bunkered down to think and consume content, and it was perhaps this that kept us afloat; allowing us to laugh, cry, feel empathy and rejection for the characters that gave life to multiple stories and that allowed us to stay connected with other living beings.

Nuestro 5˚ BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market tendrá como evento de apertura una masterclass exclusiva realizada por el cineasta nominado al Óscar, Ari Folman. Basándose en sus propias experiencias y en su singular e inquietante obra (‘Waltz with Bashir’, ‘The Congress’, ‘Where Is Anne Frank’), Folman abordará los problemas y las oportunidades de trabajar en procesos narrativos que circulen en distintos formatos, además de las posibilidades discursivas que ofrece la experimentación en el umbral entre el live-action y la animación. Tras décadas de constante trabajo, la obra de Ari Folman se ha caracterizado por emprender complejas búsquedas narrativas que requieren exploraciones formales únicas para poder ser contadas y desbordar los límites convencionales del medio del cine. Our 5th BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market will have as its opening event an exclusive masterclass by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Ari Folman. Based on his own experiences and his unique and intriguing work (‘Waltz with Bashir’, ‘The Congress’, ‘Where Is Anne Frank’) Folman will address the problems and opportunities of working on narrative processes that circulate in different formats, as well as the discursive possibilities offered by experimentation in the threshold between live-action and animation. After decades of constant work, Ari Folman’s work has been characterized by undertaking complex narrative and formal projects that overflow the conventional limits of the medium of cinema. That is how a documentary about the horrors of war and the struggle against oblivion took the form of one of the most powerful animated films of our millennium; an exploration of stardom and identity oscillates between our reality and an animated one; and the moving story of Anne Frank is told through a book, a graphic novel and a film..

Nominado al Óscar a Mejor película extranjera por ‘Waltz with Bashir’ (2008), largometraje animado en el que intenta recuperar recuerdos de la guerra a través de terapia, conversaciones con amigos y con otros israelíes que estuvieron presentes en Beirut durante la guerra. Así mismo ha dirigido las películas ‘The Congress’ (2013) y ‘Where is Anne Frank’, ambas exhibidas en el Festival de Cine de Cannes.

Grant program for the production of a first professional short film by a creative team composed of a screenwriter, producer, and director; to be shot in Bogota.

Los equipos en competencia participan activamente de múltiples actividades durante el festival hasta que al final, 5 grupos son preseleccionados para presentar un pitch presencial ante un jurado que determinará el ganador. Este obtendrá un estímulo cuantificado aproximadamente en 50.000 dólares que consisten en recursos para la producción, equipos de rodaje, servicios de postproducción de imagen y sonido, y asesorías y acompañamiento durante el proceso de producción en distintas áreas de la realización cinematográfica: guion, producción, dirección, dirección de fotografía, dirección de arte, montaje y música, todas ellas impartidas por un grupo de reconocidos especialistas de la industria nacional.

The selected teams will participate in multiple activities during the festival, until five groups are shortlisted to present a face-to-face pitch before a jury who will determine the winners. The first prize winning team will receive a grant of approximately $ 50,000 USD, made up of production resources, filming equipment, image, and sound post production services, as well as advice and support on different areas of filmmaking during the production process such as scriptwriting, production, direction, photography direction, art direction, editing, and music, all taught by a group of renowned, national industry specialists.

A través de esta convocatoria y gracias al apoyo de todos los aliados de In Vitro BFM, se han producido 7 cortometrajes. Estos cortometrajes han participado en diferentes festivales nacionales e internacionales y en su mayoría, los directores, guionistas y productores de estas películas han seguido cosechando logros en sus carreras cinematográficas. Este año estrenamos el cortometraje ganador de In Vitro BFM 2019, ‘Furtivo’ dirigido por Blanca Muñoz y producido por Mariángela González.

Thanks to this program, and with the support of all Invitro BFM partners, seven films have been produced. These short films have participated in various national and international festivals and, for the most part, the directors, scriptwriters, and producers of these films have advanced in their cinematography careers. This year we will have the premiere of the winner of In Vitro 2019, Furtivo directed by Blanca Muñoz and produced by Mariángela González.

Hombre de lata / Tin Man - (Colombia) Saúl, un indigente de ochenta años, pasa su tiempo reciclando latas en su barrio, con ellas crea figuras de latas de sus mejores recuerdos que empieza a olvidar. Así transcurren sus días hasta que se encapricha con Aminta, una vanidosa abuela del barrio, quien aborrece a Saúl, pero a él le fascina espiarla. Saúl teme al olvido, por ende elabora un quijotesco plan para revivir por última vez el momento más feliz de su pasado. Saúl, a homeless man in his eighties, spends his time recycling cans in his neighborhood. He creates tin figures of his favorite memories that he is starting to forget. This is how his days go by until he becomes infatuated with Aminta, a vain grandmother from the neighborhood, who hates Saúl; he loves spying on her. Saúl fears oblivion, therefore he devises a quixotic plan to relive for the last time the happiest moment of his past.

Manuel se cansó de su vida, se resignó, y llegó la intriga respecto a la muerte, incluso más que por la vida misma. Así que al tocar la muerte decide hacer esa exploración por ella, y nota que no es muy distinta a su vida, vacía, sola sin explicaciones. Lo único motivante de su muerte es esperar que su hijo llegue a despedirse ¿lo hará? Manuel is at his funeral, he committed suicide two days ago, the funeral is slowly filling up. Manuel grew tired of his life, he resigned himself, and the intrigue about death came, even more than for life itself. So when he touches death, he decides to do that exploration for her, and he notices that it is not very different from his life, empty, alone without explanations. The only motivating factor in his death is hoping that his son will say goodbye, will he?

Desprendiendo de ello una serie de eventos que se saldrán de sus manos y chocarán con sus miedos más profundos cuando no sepan qué hacer con la culpa de lo que causaron. Después de pasar unas horas allí sin saber que hacer, llega el encargado del salón y descubre lo sucedido. Luis and David are two young people who are part of a Christian religion, but in a youth evangelization journey in a Bogota neighborhood, they influence the suicide of a young homosexual. This leads to a series of events that will get out of hand and collide with their deepest fears when they do not know what to do with the guilt of what they did. After spending a few hours there without knowing what to do, the salon manager arrives and discovers what happened.

BFM Madre Cuervo / Mother Raven - (Colombia) Dylan y Emily son un par de hermanos de 6 y 8 años, viven en un entorno de drogas y prostitución, su madre es una trabajadora sexual del barrio Santa Fe, debido a esto suelen quedarse solos por varios días, obligando a Dylan a crecer y proteger a su hermana, en este abandono ellos deciden crear una barrera de fantasía y magia, encontrando refugio en la música y la imaginación, pero Emily comienza a presentar dificultades físicas, que hacen enfrentar a Dylan el verdadero entorno en el que viven. Dylan and Emily are a pair of brothers aged 6 and 8, they live in an environment of drugs and prostitution, their mother is a sex worker from the Santa Fe neighborhood who appears when they need to change their lottery ticket. Because of this, they tend to stay alone for several days, without care or food, forcing Dylan to grow up and protect his sister. Within this abandonment, they decide to create a barrier of fantasy and magic, finding refuge in music and imagination. But Emily begins to present physical difficulties, which make Dylan face the true environment in which they live.

Flores para Javier / Flowers for Javier - (Colombia) Es un cortometraje documental acerca de Javier Moreno, famoso por ser el requintista de los carrangueros de Ráquira. La narración comienza inmediatamente después de su salida de los carrangueros, cuando concibe un prometedor proyecto musical arriesgado y experimental en clave de música popular. Sin embargo las discográficas le niegan visibilidad en sus primeros intentos y antes de encontrar su oportunidad fallece. Poco a poco él se convierte en una figura de culto y 30 años después su música ve la luz. It is a short documentary about Javier Moreno, famous for being the requintista of the Carrangueros of Ráquira. The narration begins immediately after his departure from the carrangueros, when a promising risky and experimental musical project in the key of popular music coincides. However, the record labels deny him visibility in his first attempts and before finding his chance Javier passes away. Little by little he becomes a cult figure and 30 years later his music sees the light.

Incubadora BFM / BFM Incubator El espíritu de la Incubadora BFM es la colaboración. Este espacio nace como un encuentro de coproducción diseñado en torno a una jornada de encuentros uno a uno. Por un lado, participan productores audiovisuales que buscan financiación para hacer realidad sus proyectos de cortometraje. Estos proyectos pueden ser de ficción, documental, animación y experimental, y pueden estar en diferentes etapas (desarrollo, preproducción, rodaje, postproducción y distribución). Del otro, participan empresas y profesionales del sector audiovisual que prestan diferentes servicios cinematográficos, con el objetivo de cerrar posibles alianzas o coproducciones. Este año la Incubadora, en su proceso de ampliar la posibilidad de encontrar conexiones y posibles encuentros con otros lenguajes cinematográficos, abrió de nuevo la convocatoria para participantes de Iberoamérica, posibilitando los procesos de internacionalización para la consolidación, financiamiento y posterior circulación de los proyectos presentados. Después de una sólida y fuerte convocatoria se recibieron más de 150 proyectos de países como Perú, Bolivia, México, Chile, Cuba, Venezuela, entre otros. Los proyectos seleccionados de cortometraje se destacaron por su originalidad, pertinencia y solidez, y sus directores y productores ahora se están preparando para aprovechar al máximo los encuentros, en entornos físicos y digitales, que tendrán durante el BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market.

The spirit of the BFM Incubator is collaboration. This space was born as a co-production encounter designed around a day of one-to-one meetings. On the one hand, audiovisual producers who seek financing to make their short film projects come true. These projects can be fiction, documentary, animation or experimental and can be in different stages (development, pre-production, shooting, post-production and distribution). On the other, companies and professionals from the audiovisual sector that provide different film-related services, participate with the aim of making possible alliances or co-productions. This year, the Incubator opened its call for the first time to participants from Ibero-America, expanding the possibility of finding connections and possible encounters with other cinematographic languages. This, enabling the internationalization processes for the consolidation, financing and subsequent circulation of the projects presented. After a solid and strong call, more than 150 projects were received from countries such as Perú, Bolivia, México, Chile, Cuba, Venezuela, among others. The selected short film projects stood out for their originality, relevance and solidity, and their directors and producers are now preparing to take advantage of the meetings, in physical and digital environments, that they will have during the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market.

BFM Azai - (Colombia) Azai retrata la historia de una adolescente que, durante el complicado divorcio de sus padres, se va de vacaciones a la finca de su tía, enfocando toda su atención y energía en su hermano menor. Sin embargo, por un error cometido con su primo, pondrá en peligro la relación con esta familia. A su vez, Azai atraviesa la exploración de su sexualidad e identidad como mujer, afrontando los retos típicos del paso a la adultez y del entorno machista en una familia bogotana. Azai depicts the story of a teenager, who during the complicated divorce of her parents, goes away to her aunt´s house, putting all her attention and energy on her young brother. However, she makes a mistake with her cousin and endangers her relationship with her family. At the same time, Azai goes through the exploration of her sexuality and identity as a woman, facing the common struggles of the coming of age and the sexist environment of a family of Bogota.

Marco, an irreverent 18-year-old guy, got a second chance of living after having an episode of pulmonary aspiration, and because of that, his mother makes the decision of selling everything to pay his rehabilitation. While he pretends that he doesn’t have any alcohol problem, his social circle is getting shattered and the fear of an uncertain future, gives him a bitter welcome to adulthood.

A peasant father travels with his children (son and daughter), to visit his wife and mother of his children, who works in another municipality. However, in the middle of the journey, the bus is stopped by a paramilitary checkpoint, where they pick three boys to stay, and one of them is the peasant’s son. Finally, the bus continues its journey, and this man doesn’t know if he will see his son again.

In the middle of a highway, there’s a small restaurant where drivers usually make a brief stop. Sara, a 9-year-old girl, lives there. One day, she finds some girls inside her father’s truck, and even though they speak another language, she starts playing with them. Hector, her father, sets out on a trip without realizing that his daughter is in the truck’s trunk. Misael Cordoba defines himself as the first queer cultural manager of Quibdo. In two spaces, both his own, are two ways of being and feeling afrodescendant: while he carries out events in his cultural center that enhance Afro-Chocoan customs -some of them pretty much sexist-, he is planning the next meeting of drag queens and queers from the city.

Solving the dilemma of violence in my family comes from a violent reality that transformed the point of view of my ancestors: the bipartisan war of the 30’s and 40s. This war instilled in my grandparents, Luis Alberto Ferro and Pastora Tovar, ideas of perjury, pain, and autocracy in the midst of a democracy. The life of my grandparents is told through voices that travel between truths and lies; but a murder is lurking; one that both have covered up for their own wellbeing.

Diego (24), lleva dos años buscando a su abuelo, de quien no se sabe nada desde 1986, cuando desapareció a manos de senderistas. Sus búsquedas aparentemente distantes los llevarán a encontrarse. Es un virus que se extiende con la palabra. La única salida para evitar una muerte silenciosa es permitir que se manifieste. Ese virus es la rabia. Mel has found in skating a place where she feels free, a feeling that she shares with her friends. However, one day something interrupts her calm. After being groped in the street by a stranger person, something begins to grow inside her. Unable to control what takes over her body and mind, Mel infects her friends. It’s a virus that is spread verbally. The only way out to avoid a silent death is to allow it to manifest itself. That virus is the anger.

Narcilo reconoce que el principal problema del acceso al agua es el racismo estructural del país. Después de 50 años de lucha, Narcilo está a punto de lograrlo, pero debido a las constantes amenazas en contra de su vida y su enfermedad del corazón, le aterra no estar vivo para presenciar este momento. Narcilo has spent his life fighting for Buenaventura to have access to drinking water, because he believes that to dignify people’s lives, it’s necessary to start by guarantying human rights. Narcilo recognizes that the root cause of people’s lack of access to water is structural racism in the country. After 50 years of struggle, Narcilo is about to achieve it, but due to his heart disease and the constant threats against his life, he is terrified that he won’t be alive to witness this moment.

Pirsas - (Colombia) Hace quince años, mi hermano fue uno de los 11 niños scouts del grupo PIRSAS que murió por una avalancha ascendiendo al nevado del Ruiz. Mi familia se quebró, nadie supo cómo asumir el duelo. Quince años después, la reconstrucción del ascenso al nevado y la indagación en los dolores de mi familia es el camino para construir un relato personal e íntimo sobre la muerte, el duelo y la adaptación emocional. Fifteen years ago, my brother was one of the 11 boy scouts of the PIRSAS group who died in an avalanche when they were ascending the Mount Ruiz. My family was broken, nobody knew how to overcome the grief. Fifteen years later, the reconstruction of the ascent to the Mount and the investigation into the pain of my family is the way to build a personal and intimate story about death, grief and emotional adaptation.

BFM El Chucur - (Colombia) En el tronco de un árbol junto a una casa campesina del sur de Nariño, vive el Atapuma, un chucur o comadreja andina, amante de la danza y la música. Desde hace un tiempo, el Atapuma se prepara para participar en la danza de las vacas de Inchuchala, una fiesta tradicional campesina que se desarrolla cada año como agradecimiento por la cosecha; sin embargo, tiene que llenarse de valor para enfrentar el rechazo de los humanos quienes lo consideran un roedor desagradable. In the trunk of a tree, next to a peasant house in the south of Nariño, lives the Atapuma, a chucur or Andean weasel, lover of dance and music. For some time the Atapuma has been preparing to participate in the dance of the cows of Inchuchala, a traditional peasant festival that takes place every year in gratitude for the harvest. However, he has to be brave enough to face the rejection of humans who consider him an unpleasant rodent.

Galaxia es un cortometraje experimental que explora cómo las fantasías y traumas de nuestro pasado pueden alimentar los monstruos internos. Kevin, a careless teenager, thought he knew about sex; until one day Galaxia, a sex worker, showed him her universe. Since then, reality will turn into a dreamlike journey of bodies, feelings and darkness, during which Kevin will discover the fatal price of fulfilling his fantasies. Galaxy is an experimental animated short film that explores how the fantasies and traumas of our past can feed our internal monsters.

In the world of Weaving from the Roots, the land has been replaced by transgenic crops and pesticide spraying, that have severely affected the village, killing the habitants and their native seeds. Loana and Areu, two young survivors of the community, set out on a journey and discover the imbalance that nature has suffered. On the way to this great adventure, they meet a little bee, and together they will keep hope on the planet, preserving the seeds.

BFM Post familia / Post family - (Colombia) Abel acaba de enterrar a su padre y solo conoce su apellido. En un diario que dejó al morir, lee sobre su vida en Tolima e intenta buscar indicios de su suicidio. En el pueblo vive un enfrentamiento onírico donde comprende las razones de su padre para dejar este lugar. Inmerso en la casa abandonada, Abel piensa en la violencia familiar del pasado y cuestiona su noción de la realidad. Con la aparición de historias de la familia que desconocía, Abel cierra las heridas dejadas por sus antepasados. Abel has just buried his father, and he only knows his last name. In a journal that his father left behind, he reads about his life in Tolima and inquires about his father’s suicide. In the town, he lives a dreamlike confrontation where he understands his father’s reasons for leaving this place. Immersed in the abandoned house, Abel thinks about the past family violence and questions his reality. With the emergence of stories that he never knew, Abel heals the open wounds left by his ancestors.

Un programa de

Voces BFM / BFM Voices Desde el BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market, reconocemos a los festivales nacionales e internacionales que cuentan con sección de cortometrajes, incluidos los festivales universitarios, como escenarios fundamentales para impulsar a los realizadores emergentes de nuestro país. Una de nuestras principales búsquedas es analizar el estado actual de la gestión que se realiza desde los eventos cinematográficos, y la manera en que BOGOSHORTS como plataforma de promoción y exhibición, será catapulta para la visibilización de nuevos talentos, así como también para compartir e intercambiar conocimientos e información sobre programación, innovación y desarrollos nacionales e internacionales en el sector audiovisual. La primera versión de Voces BFM en 2018 reunió cerca de 20 festivales de cine universitario, la segunda versión en 2019 tuvo la participación de cerca de 50 festivales de cine universitario y festivales nacionales reunidos alrededor de distintas actividades para reflexionar sobre el funcionamiento y poner en perspectiva metas claras a corto plazo. En el 2020 se contó con las distintas asociaciones que agrupan a los festivales a nivel nacional y de América Latina. Las actividades de Voces BFM 2021 proporcionarán herramientas para el desarrollo y consolidación de los procesos de circulación de los cortometrajes, aumentando el intercambio de ideas e información entre los organizadores de los festivales y las instituciones nacionales e internacionales que apoyan el formato corto.

From the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market, we look to national and international festivals that have a short film section, including university festivals, as fundamental scenarios to promote emerging filmmakers in our country. We place great effort in analyzing how different film events are being managed, and the way in which BOGOSHORTS, as a promotion and exhibition platform, will become a launching pad for new talents, as well as to share and exchange knowledge and information on programming, innovation, and national and international developments in the audiovisual sector. The first version of Voces BFM in 2018 summoned close to 20 university film festivals, the second version in 2019 had the participation of about 50 university film festivals and national festivals gathered around different activities to reflect on the operation and to set clear short-term goals. In 2020, we had the participation of different associations that group the festivals at the national and Latin American level. The activities of BFM Voices 2021 will provide tools for the development and consolidation of the distribution processes of short films, increasing the exchange of ideas and information between festival organizers and the national and international institutions that support the short format.

Al tablero BFM / BFM to the board Este componente consiste en charlas académicas, dictadas por profesionales de primera línea pertenecientes a la industria audiovisual nacional e internacional, que buscan profundizar en algunas áreas cruciales de la producción cinematográfica y sus diferentes etapas, con el objetivo de que los participantes del mercado adquieran mejores herramientas para afrontar sus producciones audiovisuales. De la mano de cineastas colombianos o expertos en dichos temas buscamos generar un diálogo más cercano con creadores y realizadores que están desarrollando sus proyectos de cortometraje.

This component consists in academic talks, dictated by leading professionals from a national and international film industry, who seek to delve into some crucial areas of film production and its different stages, with the aim that market participants acquire better tools to face their audiovisual productions. With the help of Colombian filmmakers or experts in these topics, we seek to generate a close dialogue with creators and filmmakers who are developing their short film projects.

En esta charla se presenta el proyecto diseñado durante la pandemia y lanzado en agosto de 2020 por Brazilian Content, Cinema do Brasil y Projeto Paradiso, tres entidades que tienen por misión fomentar y promover el audiovisual brasileño, Show me the Fund es una iniciativa que busca conectar a los productores audiovisuales con fondos y oportunidades de financiación de todo el mundo. En 2021 el proyecto se convierte en una plataforma online que reúne información sobre más de un centenar de oportunidades de financiación para todo tipo de obras audiovisuales, incluyendo a los cortometrajes. El proyecto toma como punto de partida una investigación realizada por el portal especializado LatAm Cinema. En esta charla representantes del proyecto y de LatAm Cinema explicarán las claves de esta herramienta, así como las principales conclusiones de la investigación. This talk presents the project designed during the pandemic and launched in August 2020 by Brazilian Content, Cinema do Brasil and Projeto Paradiso, three entities whose mission is to promote and expand the Brazilian audiovisual sector; Show me the Fund is an initiative that seeks connect audiovisual producers with funds and funding opportunities from around the world. In 2021 the project becomes an online platform that gathers information on more than a hundred financing opportunities for all types of audiovisual works, including short films. The project takes as its starting point an investigation conducted by the specialized portal LatAm cinema. Aguilar Film Festival y Bogotá Short Film Festival - BOGOSHORTS, se unen para crear un espacio directo de participación en el mercado Iberoamericano. El próximo año, en el marco del BFM se abrirán inscripciones para proyectos que busquen coproducciones con algún país de la región iberoamericana. Esto permitirá acceder a la oferta de proyectos y productores de Latinoamérica y España. Para abonar el terreno, este año tendremos una charla introductoria que cuenta en qué consiste este espacio, qué se requiere para acceder a una posible coproducción, la legislación que rige a favor del acuerdo de coproducción iberoamericano y el contexto necesario para adelantar el próximo año alianzas y coproducciones que permitan que nuestros proyectos alcancen financiación, distribución y exhibición internacional. NFT, tokens no fungibles es una manera de comerciar, principalmente bienes derivados de la creatividad humana, con activos digitales únicos, cifrados y que no pueden ser intercambiados por otros, debido a su naturaleza irrepetible. Los ejemplos ayudan a entender, Wong Kar-wai vendió una escena inédita de ‘In the Mood for Love’ y Quentin Tarantino anunció que hará lo mismo con siete escenas de ‘Pulp Fiction’. Lo que es un hecho es que este nuevo mercado, ha crecido casi un 300 % sólo en el último año. Esta charla abordará este universo futurista, evaluando las posibilidades que abre a la comercialización de los cortometrajes. Juan Manuel Escobar, experto en NFT, Julián Avila, abogado que investiga este nuevo horizonte en relación con las rutas convencionales de comercialización y exhibición de los cortometrajes. Por último Nicolás Caballero, quien ha trabajado en varios cortometrajes comercializados en este sistema. La Comisión Fílmica de Bogotá, un programa del Instituto Distrital de la Artes - Idartes, presenta esta charla que abordará la manera de comprender e implementar producciones sostenibles en nuestra industria, con base en el estudio realizado por Ministerio de Cultura, Lado B y Planet ON, en el que se evidencia que para hablar de sostenibilidad hay que tener una mirada transversal sobre el contexto; una mirada ecosistémica, que involucra temas como lo ambiental, lo social, lo económico y lo cultural. En un país megadiverso como Colombia, con una industria audiovisual que crece exponencialmente cada año, es fundamental conocer e implementar este conocimiento, que en industrias cómo la de Hollywood, es un requisito sin falta, compuesto por protocolos que nos permitirán alcanzar este propósito global, urgente. The Bogota Film Commission, a program of the District Institute of the Arts - Idartes presents this talk that will address the way to understand and implement sustainable productions in our industry, based on the study conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Lado B, and Planet ON. This study made it clear that in order to speak of sustainability, we must take on a cross-section approach to the context; an ecosystem view, which involves issues such as environment, society, economy, and culture. Este taller de sensibilización de género, hace parte de la estrategia de actividades con perspectiva de género de la Comisión Fílmica de Bogotá del Instituto Distrital de las Artes - IDARTES. Esta actividad propone una reconexión con el cuerpo a través de una cartografía para identificarlo como el territorio propio, y tiene como objetivo ser un laboratorio de co - creación en prevención de violencias de género en los ambientes laborales del ecosistema audiovisual. Este taller está dirigido a profesionales del sector audiovisual que estén interesados en conocer sobre prevención de violencias de género y sobre construcción de ambientes laborales seguros y libres de discriminación. This gender awareness workshop is part of the activities strategy with gender perspective of the Bogota Film Commission of the District Institute of the Arts - IDARTES. This activity proposes a reconnection with the body through a cartography to identify it as one’s own territory, and aims to be a laboratory for co-creation in the prevention of gender violence in the work environments of the audiovisual ecosystem. En el marco de las acciones de cierre de la Temporada Cine Crea Colombia, iniciativa de circulación y promoción del cine colombiano, organizada por Proimágenes Colombia y el Ministerio de Cultura e impulsada por el Consejo Nacional de las Artes y la Cultura en Cinematografía-CNACC, se presenta la estrategia: GUÍAS PARA LA GESTIÓN DE PROYECTOS AUDIOVISUALES. La Dirección de Audiovisuales, Cine y Nuevos Medios expondrá la importancia de contar con pautas e información básica que sea de utilidad para distintas instituciones y agentes del ecosistema audiovisual a nivel nacional, con el objetivo de relacionarse con la Dirección, y a su vez gestionar sus proyectos culturales de manera óptima. Videolibrería / Videolibrary La Videolibrería BFM es una herramienta de visualización personalizada de contenidos audiovisuales en formato corto, producidos en países Iberoamericanos e inscritos en la convocatoria 2021 del Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS, a la cual tendrán acceso exclusivo los acreditados de industria del BFM, en estaciones individuales de visualización ubicadas en la sede oficial del mercado. Programadores, distribuidores, compradores y otros actores de la industria asistentes al festival podrán ver cortometrajes de ficción, documental, animación y experimental, con una duración máxima de 30 minutos, con el objetivo de que estos encuentren diversas ventanas comerciales de exhibición, Este año también podrán tener acceso a los contenidos, profesionales de la industria que se encuentren fuera de la ciudad o el país. La Videolibrería BFM cuenta con el respaldo de la plataforma ShortFilmDepot. Las oportunidades para descubrir nuevas producciones en formato corto y fomentar la circulación de obras de jóvenes realizadores, se complementan con la proyección de dos programas de cortometrajes relacionados con diferentes componentes del BFM.

The BFM Videolibrary is a tool for the personalized visualization of audiovisual content in short format, produced in Ibero-American countries and submitted to the 2020 call for entries of the Bogotá Short Film Festival / Festival de Cortos de Bogotá - BOGOSHORTS, to which industry accredited individuals will have exclusive access at individual viewing stations located at the market’s official headquarters. Programmers, distributors, buyers, and other industry players attending the festival will have the opportunity to view fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental short films, with a maximum length of 30 minutes; this, to provide commercial exhibition windows. This year, industry professionals from other cities and countries will also have access to the videolibrary. The BFM Videolibrary is supported by the ShortFilmDepot platform. The opportunities to discover new short-format productions and encourage the circulation of works by young filmmakers are complemented by the screening of two short film programs related to different components of the BFM.

Actividades paralelas / Parallel activities Con el objetivo de apoyar y visibilizar emprendimientos de profesionales del sector cinematográfico colombiano que hacen más que cine, el equipo del BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market ha diseñado el Bazar BFM, considerando importante aportar solidariamente a un sector que se ha visto fuertemente golpeado por los retos de la pandemia. Este año el evento tendrá lugar en el marco del festival, el viernes 10 de diciembre tendremos un espacio físico en el que participarán algunas de las empresas, para que los asistentes puedan conocer de primera mano los productos.

In order to support and promote the projects of professionals in the Colombian film industry that do more than films, the BFM - BOGOSHORTS Film Market team has designed the BFM Bazar; to contribute in solidarity to a sector that has been strongly hit by the challenges of the pandemic. The event will take place during this year’s festival. On Friday, December 10, we will have a physical space in which some of the companies will participate , so that attendees can enjoy the products first-hand.
