MVMA General Membership Meeting Saturday, January 23, 2021 • Virtual Meeting State of the Profession Reports AVMA Delegate Report – Dr. Carol Ryan and Dr. Chuck Barry AVMA Immediate Past President Address – Dr. John Howe General Membership Meeting was called to order by President Dr. David Gourley at 1:00 p.m. I. Minutes of Last Meeting Dr. Shelia Taylor, Secretary-Treasurer, presented minutes from the January 25, 2020 MVMA General Membership Meeting held at Holiday Inn Executive Center, Columbia, Mo. It was moved and seconded to approve the minutes as prepared and presented. Motion carried. II. Financial Reports Dr. Sheila, Secretary-Treasurer, presented the 2020 financial statement. As of December 31, 2020, the MVMA reported $214,162.08 in bank accounts and Certificates of Deposit, plus $191,297.78 in receivables, fixed and other assets for total assets of $405,459.86.
VI. Announcement of the Election of 2021 MVMA Officers and New Board Members Dr. Carol Ryan presented the results of the 2021 Officer Election. They were as follows: Officers: President, Dr. Marcy Hammerle President-Elect, Dr. Ed Migneco Vice President, Dr. Matt Silvius Secretary/Treasurer, Dr. Shelia Taylor Chairman of the Board, Dr. David Gourley Executive Board Members: Dr. Sonia Serad-Wright - NWVMA Delegate Mr. Robbie Schmidt - Student Board Member For At-Large Delegates: Dr. Ashley French Dr. Tom Rose Dr. Jessica Stroupe AVMA Past President, Dr. John Howe, installed the new officers and board members.
It was moved and seconded to approve the financial statement as prepared and presented. Motion carried.

III. Executive Board Report Executive Board Chairman, Dr. Carol Ryan presented the Executive Board Report from the Sunday, January 17, 2021 board meeting. (see board minutes)

It was moved and seconded to approve the actions of the Executive Board since the last Membership meeting. Motion carried.
In accordance with the MVMA Constitution & Bylaws, Immediate Past-President Dr. David Gourley became the MVMA Executive Board Chairman. Dr. Marcy Hammerle presented him with a Retiring President plaque for his service to the MVMA.
