The President’s Message Greetings Brothers,
First I want to say Happy New Year Brothers. I am hopeful that the start of this new year has actually been good safe for you and your families. As you are well aware the world is still in the grip of the Covid-19 pandemic and unfortunately it has touched more of us recently than this time last year. We will all have persevere and continue fulfilling the mission of Alpha Phi Alpha with the limitations that come with living through a global pandemic. This brings to mind a quote I came across recently from our dearly departed Brother Martin Luther King Jr. “May I stress the need for courageous, intelligent, and dedicated leadership... Leaders of sound integrity. Leaders not in love with publicity, but in love with justice. Leaders not in love with money, but in love with humanity. Leaders who can subject their particular egos to the greatness of the cause.” I think these words above quote is a fitting reminder at the start of a new year of our role as Brothers of Alpha Phi Alpha in the service of the wider humanity despite the obstacles.
