The Argyle ISD School Board approved the hiring of Scott Collins as the new Argyle ISD Police Chief during the Monday, March 21 regular board meeting.

Chief Collins previously served as the Aubrey ISD Police Chief since 2014 and has more than 20 years of experience in law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical services. Collins recently graduated from the Leadership Education Program at the National Command and Staff College in Louisiana. He was awarded the MAGNUS Leadership Award which is given to the officer demonstrating lifelong learning, ongoing self-reflection, character development, consistency, and motivation with valence and inspiration.
"It is an honor to be chosen as the next Chief of Police for Argyle ISD PD. I am truly humbled by this district and department to be chosen. As your next chief, I am looking forward to serving our staff, students, and community members of this school district. As this district grows, your Argyle ISD Police Department will rise to the needs of the school district and the community."
Collins has also served as the Texas School District Police Chiefs' Association Regional Director in 2020. He was also previously an officer in the Magnolia Police Department and led the K-9 program.
Argyle ISD held a swearing-in ceremony for Chief Collins on March 28 in the AISD Board Room as family and friends attended the special event. Chief Collins also formerly sworn in his Argyle ISD officers.
