Track 19 - Learning To Run Stage 16 Brought To You By: MyWeightLossDream.co.uk

Welcome to the nineteenth track in our learning to walk before you can run series of podcasts and thanks for downloading me. Well I don’t mean me, I mean the podcast but I am sure you know what I mean! I hope you don’t mind but we are going to jump straight in with this podcast and to get you moving. Chapter 1 – Introduction To Stage 16 You’ll notice further down that this stage has come after a big break. And that is okay. If you need to have a rest or feel like a stage is too difficult, then remember to take it at your own pace until you feel confident that you can achieve it. Stage 16 Run for 27.5 minutes without stopping, and then walk until you have completed a total distance of 5km. Chapter 2 – Stage 16 Running Diary Nineteenth Run = 29th October 2015 = 4500m = 27.5 minutes As you can see it has been over a month since I completed stage 15 and you’re probably wondering what happened. Well I was trying to push myself to the next level and was really not getting very far. Doing a 15 minute run was the best I could manage and I just didn’t want to push myself into the next stage when my body was just not ready.

Oh and the winter months hit me and with no sunshine I found it really difficult to concentrate. I must be one of those that only run when it is nice weather!!! Anyway, for the first time in ages I decided to push myself and see if I could complete the dreaded 16th stage. And I did it. I actually ran for 27.5 minutes without stopping. This was a distance of 4500 metres and then I finished off with a power walk to a total distance of 6000 metres. And the whole thing took me 42 minutes to complete. It felt really good to say that I hit this stage and I can’t wait for the next. It is amazing to be able to run like this and when I look at the early stages it is amazing how far I have come. I also didn’t really feel out of breath or tired until I had hit 20 minutes which for me is AMAZING! Thanks for listening to track 19 and thanks very much for your support.
