Podcast Album: Learning To Walk Before You Can Run
Track 18 - Learning To Run Stage 15 Brought To You By: MyWeightLossDream.co.uk
Welcome to the eighteenth track in our learning to walk before you can run series of podcasts and thanks for downloading me. Well I don’t mean me, I mean the podcast but I am sure you know what I mean! I hope you don’t mind but we are going to jump straight in with this podcast and to get you moving. Chapter 1 – Introduction To Stage 15 I like this stage because you’re taking what you achieved in stage 14 and very slightly increasing it. You can’t expect to be a perfect runner that can run for hours, but you’re slowly making progress and getting good at it along the way! Stage 15 Take what you managed in stage 14 (which in my case was 24.5 minutes) and add another 2 minutes then end your run. In my case this brings my total time to 26.5 minutes. Chapter 2 – Stage 15 Running Diary Eighteenth run = 28th September 2015 = 4300m = 26.5 minutes I am now ready to take on stage 15. I now have to ask where did all these stages gone, because it is hard to believe that I am now 75% complete.
The early stages seemed difficult when I looked at them on paper but now here I am taking on close to half an hour of pure running. Today is a very bad day for me and running. I was up all night with my teething baby daughter and it is super hot and the wind is really strong too. So it feels like I have hit the wall in my running regime. Dominic says I haven’t and I would really know if I have hit the wall! Stage 15 is all about adding a couple of extra minutes onto the running that you did before. So for me this means a 26.5 minutes of straight running. Now this is amazing to say that I am rather close to hitting the half an hour point. I do it and spend all day trying to recover. I think I would have coped better if I wasn’t so tired and if it wasn’t so warm. But I have to remember where I was fitness wise before I started running and where I am now! Thanks for listening to track 18 and thanks very much for your support.
