Podcast Album: Learning To Walk Before You Can Run
Track 21 - Learning To Run Stage 18 Brought To You By: MyWeightLossDream.co.uk
Welcome to the twenty first track in our learning to walk before you can run series of podcasts and thanks for downloading me. Well I don’t mean me, I mean the podcast but I am sure you know what I mean! I hope you don’t mind but we are going to jump straight in with this podcast and to get you moving. Chapter 1 – Introduction To Stage 18 Welcome to my final running stage and I can’t believe I am at the end. I remember the school caretaker from when I was at secondary school. He was a nice chap and I used to think he was crazy with all the running he did. He would run around our local town come rain or shine in the same shorts and tshirt. I thought you would never get me doing that! Yet look at me now!!!! Stage 18 Run for a minimum of 5km without stopping. Chapter 2 – Stage 18 Running Diary Twenty first run = 2nd December 2015 = 6000m = 39 minutes I have finally done it. I have done the final stage in my running diary and have actually ended up completing a distance of 6 kilometres. I really can’t believe this is me!!!!
Where has that fat girl gone that could only just walk around the track and was always out of breath? I would walk around the track three times and I felt like death, yet here I am running around it in 60% of the time. This was always my end goal for learning to run and to say I am there is brilliant. Well for those of you that have been following my Podcasts you’ll know that it is a running track in the Algarve and that to begin with I walked, then I power walked, then I walked with a heavy baby and then I ran. I never planned to finish it today but when I feel the same (energy wise) between running 3km and 6km why should I stop? The last time around the track was hard because I had never done it before but it felt amazing to finish it and say I can run and I am no longer a couch potato. So if you have not started the running process yet, then please do as you’ll be amazed by how great it will make you feel and how fit it can get you. If I can do it then so can you! Thanks for listening to track 21 and thanks very much for your support.
