Pilates Workshop to Release Hip Flexors Amy Aleksiewicz of Body Dynamics (BD) Pilates Studio will teach a workshop, The Psoas: Holding On and Letting Go, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., January 14, at the studio in Cumberland, Rhode Island. The psoas, also known as Amy Aleksiewicz the hip flexor, is a strong, deep muscle group that can cause limited range of movement. Using a sequence of exercises designed to release stuck emotions, stored trauma and energy, students will leave feeling more mobile with a sense of ease and peace. Aleksiewicz has been teaching Pilates for 14 years at BD Pilates, a studio that offers Pilates training in small group classes. Private, semi-private and virtual lessons are also available.
