President’s Publication

Hey guys and gals!

Editor’s Note

Hello Friends!

Hope everyone is having an AMAZING summer! I wanted to thank you guys for bearing with us and continuing your service outside of school. I have been posting events and times on the Facebook page as well as sending out Remind101s, so don’t forget to check back for updates! Also new in this upcoming year, Ms. Moss, previous Algebra II and PALS teacher, will be our new sponsor! Please thank Ms. McMillan for all the dedication and time she contributed to our club as well as welcome our new club sponsor! Yours in Service,

Kelly Duong

HUGE shout out to everyone who is taking advantage of this summer to serve the community! Although the heat is rough, there are some great summer events coming up, such as the Science Olympiad Carwash which will surely keep you cool. Also, as Kelly mentioned, we are getting a new sponsor! Ms. Moss, we are so happy to have you help make our club successful in service. To Ms. McMillan, thank you so much for everything you have put into Key Club. We will surely miss you!

Yours in Service

#Goals By Kevin Nguyen11, Webmaster

The upcoming 2016-2017 year is the biggest year yet in my opinion in terms of Cypress Falls Key Club success! Last year was just a glimpse at the growing potential and talent we have within our club. Here are a few of many goals I have for the upcoming year of service! 1. Increase the number of members - Even though we have a large club already, there is always room for more passionate members who are willing to serve and help their community! 2. Augment the amount of participation in events - Just because we have tons of members, it doesn’t necessarily mean every single one of them go to the events! Only a fraction of the members complete their service hours genuinely and that’s why it is essential to try and encourage more members to go out to events. 3. Get more people to go and compete at DCON - The most recent DCON resulted in us finishing in the TOP 25 clubs however, that’s just the beginning, we have just grazed the potential. We received two 1st place trophies in the events that we did enter therefore, with more organization, returning attendees and more members participating I can guarantee that this year our club will move up in the ranks and put us back on the map once again as seen in past years. 4. BE THE BEST CLUB WE CAN BE - Of course considering our member base and our budget we only have so much to work with but, all that matters is that at the end of the year that we can say we had no regrets and that we truly gave it all we had, while also working hard to push everyone to their full potential with the overall goal in mind, which is, making the world a better place one step at a time.
