EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM
St. Paul Catholic Church’s Early Childhood Program is currently accepting registrations for the second half of the 2021-2022 school year. If you have a little one between the ages of 12 months (must be walking), and Pre K4, St. Paul would love to have them join the program for social and emotional growth.
St. Paul offers many exciting learning opportunities, including an introduction to STEM within the curriculum. Additional programs include Wiggle World, Library, and Chapel, and openings are available in optional after-class weekly enrichment sessions such as the “Books Alive” literacy class and “The Beat Goes On” music class. Pre K3 and Pre K4 teachers will also introduce your child to Spanish, learning shapes, numbers, days of the week/ month, etc. in dual language classes.
Parents are encouraged to join in scheduled monthly activities in their child’s classroom. Class schedule options are on the church website at www.stpaulcatholic.org under the MDO/PreK tab. For more information, call 281333-0176.
NASSAU BAY GARDEN CLUB Garden Club update from Becky Kadel, President of the Nassau Bay Garden Club: The Garden Club had a successful beginning to the new year with a presentation by bird expert Jim Stevenson and a tasting luncheon. This year holds much promise for the Club. The meeting to be held on February 8 in the City Hall Council Chambers will be an interesting talk about container gardening by Darla Racz. This will include basic information about making an eye-catching arrangement in a pot. The Club’s Winter Social will take place at the Lakewood Yacht Club during their Sunday Brunch on February 20 at 11AM. Attendees may pay by credit card ($28) on the day of the event.
