Editor’s Desk Dear Readers, Managed print services (MPS) help organizations manage their complex printing infrastructure, which consists of a large number of multifunctional printers. MPS vendors take care of the entire printing fleet in an organization by maintaining the printers and thus reducing the downtime. MPS vendors monitor and control the printing activities, reducing the paper wastage. Moreover, MPS allow organizations to gain insights on their printing expenses and thus assist them in devising and allocating future printing budgets. Technological developments and continuous innovation by lead MPS vendors and printer/copier manufacturers have allowed organizations to protect their vital printing data by developing enhanced authentication systems to access the printing documents. The global MPS market was valued at US$ 26.18 Billion in 2015 and is forecast to expand at a CAGR of 14.8% from 2016 to 2024, reaching a value of US$ 94.97 Billion by 2024. In a cost-sensitive environment, organizations are highly influenced by the cost benefits offered by MPS by reducing the operational costs of their printing activities. This is one of the major factors attracting organizations to adopt MPS. The need for the streamlining of the printing workflow and for monitoring and control of printer usage by employees has added to the cost reduction benefits achieved through the implementation of MPS.

pr o d u ct r o u nd u p Hubei Dinglong Chemical Co., Ltd. announces release of a range of developer rollers and PCRs
1
8 months ago Hubei Dinglong Chemical Co., Ltd. formed an associate company, Dinglong New Materials Co., Ltd., based in Zhuhai. Dinglong New Materials Co., Ltd. was formed to research, develop & manufacture developer rollers and PCRs for colour printers. This new 4,000sqm facility has a total equipment investment of US$20 million, and has state-of-the-art vulcanising, extruding, grinding and coating machinery that allows for OEM quality rollers to be produced. The complete process is managed and controlled in this new facility that has a capacity of in excess of three million rollers per month. The product lines to be covered are HP, Brother and Samsung colour models. All rollers are made to OEM specification and are designed to be a “drop-in replacement Item” Ian Copsey, European General Manager, commented: “We see in certain models now that the OEMs are effectively engineering obsolescence into certain cartridge components. This means in some lines after the OEM first cycle it becomes challenging to get enough good quality virgin empty cartridges due to damage or degradation of developer rollers or PCRs. Hubei Dinglong as a chemical toner producer expects the OEMs to reduce the after-life effectiveness of their products: as a toner manufacturer it is critical we can limit this future impact.”

Founded in 2011 and led by Amit Nahata, Director, Balaji Infotech has grown rapidly in the last few years to emerge as an important provider in the state of Madhya Pradesh.
T
oday, JETFINE offers a wide range on imaging products like compatible laser toner cartridges, black & color laser toner powder, black & color inkjet inks, OPC drums, mag rollers, PCR, pressure rollers, Teflon, sleeve, doctor & wiper blades, chips, CISS and other parts for laser printers. Recently, Balaji Infotech started providing high quality sublimation inks under their brand name JETFINE. For a brand to make an impact on customers, packaging plays important role. Customers want strong packaging and further they want all the important details printed on the packaging so that they don’t have to bother the seller asking each and every detail. Regarding the packaging of their products, Amit Nahata comments, “Recently we redesigned and improved packaging of all our products. Our present packaging is stronger, attractive and gives more details on the package regarding specs and quality of the products.” Regarding their company’s policy and operations, Amit Nahata adds, “We deal in all types of printer consumables, inks & toners (black and color) under our own brand name JETFINE. Our main areas of operation are MP, Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Rajasthan. We procure products from trusted and quality-proven domestic traders. Recently we started importing packed cartridges from China. We are happy with the demand and response we are getting from the market and currently
24
we are growing at an annual rate of 20%. We have also recently started digital sublimation inks which are currently in good demand. Our sublimation products are of very good quality. We have over 100 dealers in our supply network. Our USPs is good quality products, neat & strong packaging, good price and relations based on trust. In MP, imaging products market is growing satisfactorily well. Color printing segment is growing fast even though black forms over 95% of the demand.” The industry has been eagerly waiting for the new GST policy, which has been pending for a long time. Only recently, the government has cleared the first step towards its implementation. If the bill could pass through other hurdles, we can see GST in force with effect from April 2017. The industry believes that it will make conducting business easier across state boundaries. Regarding the expected GST and their future plans, Amit Nahata concludes, “If GST comes into force, it will help us because we operate across state borders. Right now different states have different tax policies and formalities, which is leading to a lot of time waste, formalities, delays and also to increases in the cost of operation. In future, we want to add more dealers to our network and expand our brand presence in the areas where we are operating. In future, we want to add more products under their brand name JETFINE. We will concentrate more on providing compatible laser cartridges in bulk and also on increasing our sale of sublimation inks.”

Drive Down Your Printing Costs
A
ll you need is a strategy and some training to pull it all together. In this feature we deliver practical hints on how to drive down your printing costs. Finding ways to reduce printing costs can quickly add up to big savings if you do a lot of printing. Businesses often bargain hard for the best deals on new printer hardware, but then neglect to pay sufficient attention to the real expense: the running costs. Companies can find themselves paying upwards of 20p per colour side of A4 as they opt for unsuitable hardware with poor value consumables, just because the printer had the cheapest initial asking price. The printer manufacturers market heavily to convince consumers that third party products are inferior and not as reliable as the original brand cartridges. However, the original manufacturers are selling recycled cartridges and still charging full retail price. A knowledgeable consumer should be aware of what they are getting for the high cost. While some claim the high quality of OEM ink, Printing is now an everyday task, but many people are being put off printing in volumes because of the high price of the ink for the printers. Many consumers make use of a consumer printer in addition to a personal computer for a number of reasons. With the purchase of a consumer printer also comes the need to purchase replacement printer ink cartridges as the ink runs out of the cartridge you are currently using. Replacement printer
36
ink cartridges that are purchased from printer manufacturers can often cause quite an expense for consumers. Many manufacturermade replacement printer ink cartridges can even surpass the purchase price of the printer they are used with. This is why buying compatible printer inks are a wise consumer choice. There are many ways why using compatible printer ink cartridges can be beneficial. The main reason that using compatible printer ink cartridges and inkjet refill kits appeals to many consumers is that it will save you money. Individuals will find that more often than not a compatible printer ink cartridge will be less of an expense than the purchase a replacement printer ink cartridge from a printer manufacturer. Inkjet refill kits is also a great money saving option for consumer printer owners that may be on a budget or those that just like saving some money. An ink refill kit can greatly extend the life of a printer ink cartridge if the cartridge is refilled before the ink cartridge is completely empty. Another great benefit to purchasing an inkjet refill kit or a compatible printer in cartridge is that they are extremely easy to purchase. The quality of the print job a compatible printer ink cartridge can provide you with is another great reason to use compatible printer inks. If you have purchased a good quality compatible printer ink the quality of the print work should be
equal to an ink cartridge purchase from a printer manufacturer. If you are an ecologically conscious consumer you will appreciate that compatible printer ink cartridges and ink refill kits decrease the amount of solid waste dumped into landfills each year as the can be reused several times. Also if you wish to purchase compatible printer ink cartridges or refill kits in bulk if you buy a good quality ink you will not have to worry about the future print jobs you printer will produce as the ink should store quite well. This option is can be found to be a real money saver with a lot of consumers. There are very few models of printers that will not work with compatible inkjet printers so you would not have to worry about limited choice when looking into buying a printer you can use compatible printer inks with. Deciding to use compatible printer ink cartridges instead of replacement ink cartridges from a manufacturer can provide you with high quality print work at a much more reasonable price. So keep all of this useful information about compatible printer inks in mind as soon as you begin shopping for a new printer or your current printer is in need of new ink. Compatibles really are worth a go, so do not let past experiences hold you back, third party cartridges have advanced hugely in the past few years, with outstanding quality and reliability now being seen across hundreds of models.

“We believe in slow and steady expansion and doing business in a comfortable manner” Kabir Impex International, incepted in 2010, is a Delhibased, leading importer & bulk provider of imaging consumables which include toner powders, laser toner cartridges, inks, printer parts, cartridge parts like OPC drums, PCR & mag rollers, wiper & doctor blades, springs and so on. Kabir Impex has a branch office in China. The company is led by its Director, Harpreet Singh and the marketing activities are taken care by Sunny Singh. In an interaction with Imaging Solution magazine, Preet Singh shares their company’s policy and plans.
Mr. Preet Singh, Director, Kabir Impex Could you describe your company’s policy and strategies? We import mainly from China, Taiwan and Korea. We provide only in bulk quantities to many prominent customers in India. Though our main business comes from North India, we also have several potential customers in South, West and East India regions. We have a selective list of customers in India in whom we have good trust and deal only with them. We are slow and steady in our approach and progress.
How do you ensure that your company maintains good quality?
products, but today low-price is dominating the market. Most traders as well as users are just interested in low-priced products and they have little quality-sense. And the low-priced products always come with low quality. Though we recommend people to use only quality products, according to the demand of the market, we are keeping three different kinds of products: Low priced low quality products, medium-priced averagequality products and high-priced high-quality products. We give the customers according to their desired standard, but we are transparent in whatever we are giving them, both in terms of quality and price.
We have our branch office in China and our people there have good experience in identifying the right manufacturers and providers. So we know exactly what quality material we are getting and providing.
Do you also export to other countries?
What is your opinion on quality trend in the Indian market?
How color printing segment is doing in India?
Our wish is that all traders and users should purchase and use only good quality products. A few years back market was good and everyone wanted good quality
40
Yes, from our China office, we export directly to other countries in Africa, South America, etc.
On the color front, inkjet inks are doing very well at present. Growth in laser color printing is not much. Overall color is growing
faster than black (inks and toners), though color forms only a fraction of the total business at present.
What is your USPs? We keep a wide range of products, where A-Z things are available, and we maintain good stocks so that availability is never a problem. Next, we give complete information to the buyers regarding the products we provide them. This helps them to service their customers better. We are transparent and straight in all our deals.
What are your future plans? Right now we are growing at an annual rate of 15%. As I said, we are very cautious while adding new customers to our list, due to the default problems in the market. So we will continue to focus mainly on the existing trustworthy customers. We believe in slow and steady expansion and doing business in a comfortable manner than jumping into overambitious ventures and expansions. Next, we are going to add lamination machines and pouches to our product portfolio in Q4, 2016. Then we want to add more copier machine parts to our portfolio.

Aryan Believes in Encouraging Partners to Grow Along with Them Aryan Trade World Pvt Ltd (ATWPL) is a prominent Mumbai-based player in the imaging industry in India and also the Master Distributor in India for Trend Toner Imaging (TTI-Taiwan). ATWPL always keeps attuned with the new technological innovations and complexities, and upgrades its products to match the market demand. Their product-line includes toner cartridges, toner powders, cartridge components, etc. Led by its President, Aryan Goel, ATWPL is rapidly emerging as one of the dominant players in the imaging industry of India.
I
n an Interaction with Imaging Solution, Aryan Goel comments, “Our quality is standardized and all the products of our brand carry equally good quality. We do not offer different quality products to different customers at different prices. We do not compare ourselves with others. Our principle is to do whatever we do perfectly. Going by the way we are growing, we have already reached a dominant position soon in the imaging industry.” ATWPL aims to continuously keep abreast with the latest know-how and improves its products with the objective to provide the best products at most economical prices with the greatest service possible to their customers. ATWPL’s vendor-partner TTI is now distinguished as one of the largest toner manufacturers in the world for high quality compatible toners for copiers and Laser printers. Aryan Goel adds,”Cartridge will be our main focus, sales of which have already
42
multiplied by 3 times over last year. In laser segment there is a lot of competition, but we don’t see much competition in copier segment. Due to competition in the market, margins have reached minimum levels--now it is a game of volumes. Only those who sell in good volumes will survive in the market. In fact, the smaller importers have corrupted the market by selling cheapquality goods at low prices and as a result today quality awareness among customers has reduced.” Through long-lasting collaborations and association with leading manufacturers around the world, ATWPL is able to offer products that are of high quality and up-todate at competitive prices. ATWPL strives to offer the best possible support and encouragement to its partners. Aryan Goel shares, “For partners are very important. To encourage partners, we have launched an interesting scheme Gold Scheme. For us making quick money is not the goal; we want our partners to
grow along with us. Our partners as well as customers have trust in our brand and we are witnessing good growth.” ATWPL business philosophy is based on integrity and passion to excel in offering safe and reliable products with social & environmental responsibility. Regarding their future operations and Aryan concludes, “All our collaborations with companies like A&G Golden Green etc are going well. And we are very optimistic about our growth. Right now we operate across India and also we are exporting to Nepal and Bhutan. In the future, we want to focus more on expanding our export operations. We will focus more on compatible cartridges. Once GST comes into force, it will be helpful to us and also to all the partners and customers. It removes many hassles associated with operating in different states and locations and there will be no need to have branches in multiple locations. We are very confident that we are the top player in the Imaging Industry.
