The Office of International Affairs supports the university’s overall mission by providing university-level leadership, innovation, and coordination to equip students, faculty, staff, and the communities we serve with the global knowledge, cultural understanding, skills, and experience to succeed in the new global economy. partnerships The Office of International Affairs works to develop in-depth partnerships and collaborations with leading international institutions throughout the world. We currently have 130 partnerships in more than 44 different countries on six continents.
consortia University Global Partnership Network (UGPN): an association of universities established to promote multi-lateral collaboration across 4 key areas: 1) joint research; 2) academic program development; 3) student and faculty exchanges; 4) innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer. Academic Consortium 21 (AC21): an international network comprised of 19 educational, research, and industrial organizations throughout the world aiming to promote cooperation in education and research between members. Study Abroad Student Exchange Partnerships: a partnership that provides opportunities for NC State students at the cost of standard NC State tuition rates. NC State students have access to more than 60 active bi-lateral exchange p artners, in addition to m any more offerings available througha consortium agreement with ISEP (International Student Exchange Programs).

college of agriculture & life sciences The CALS International Programs Office offers many travel and work abroad opportunities for students who may be interested in a study abroad program. The college also offers the CALS Global Club (CGC) for students interested in international agriculture and life science issues.
college of design The College of Design emphasizes the value of study abroad as a significant [and required] aspect of each student’s educational experience, notably through the Prague Institute.
college of education The I+DEA office coordinates distance education and the globalization initiative in the College of Education. Student educators have opportunities to study abroad or teach abroad. The college also offers numerous local immersion programs and welcomes students and scholars from all over the world.
the colleges (cont.) college of engineering The mission of International Programs in Engineering at NC State is to provide students with international opportunities to graduate engineers prepared for the global marketplace. The college offers numerous study abroad programs and international co-op and internship programs.
college of humanities & social sciences The college provides ten interdisciplinary undergraduate degree options including African, International, and Middle East studies. The college also offers a Master’s of International Studies and more study abroad programs than any other college at NC State.
poole college of management The college provides students with opportunities to learn first-hand how businesses operate in a global marketplace. There
are
numerous
undergraduate
and
graduate
international programs that involve studying or working abroad. Management students can also earn a dual degree with an international partner institution.
college of natural resources CNR’s departments and students participate in a multitude of international ventures. The college highlights the international work conducted by various departments as well as study and work abroad experiences for students, including field work oppportunities.
college of sciences The College of Sciences is home to the physical and chemical sciences, the mathematical and statistical sciences, and the biological sciences and the earth-system sciences. The college’s faculty and students are engaged in many international programs, collaborations, and research.
college of textiles The College of Textiles is the leading textile college in the world and offers students a variety of study abroad and international experiences to enhance what they are learning in the classroom. Opportunities such as study abroad and international undergraduate research give them insight into a global market.
college of veterinary medicine CVM aims to foster international understanding and be a partner and leader in education, research, clinical medicine and community service. The college offers international courses and travel fellowships.
