"Alea iacta est". The die is cast. Coming back is not allowed.
Images speak more than words. Behind a story there ismuch more than a simple "click". There is dedication to what was, is and will be our first love: motorsport. But our narration of images does not stop at two or four wheels: welikedynamism and stylebehind every single sports discipline. That is why we are "Not Just Motorsport": we do not want to be joined to only one category, but we aim to show you many aspectsof sportsfrom preparation to action. This isthephilosophy of "Not Just Motorsport".Enjoy!
WRC Aci Rally Monza 2021
Describing in wordsthe 24 hoursof Spa probably makes little sense, so we leave room for images. What we feel likewritingisdictated by emotion and passion, thesame that pushes as much drivers as we to face 24 hours non-stop (or almost...) in oneof themost spectacular and legendary circuitsin the world. Yes, Spa-Francorchamps is a photonic autodrome, which offers challenges and fights. You fight at every turn, at every braking, but you also fight to survive 24 exhausting hours, that put a strain on the endurance of cars and drivers. Sweat, fatigue, tiredness, sleep add up and blend together. "Eh, but the 24 hours of Le Mans..." someone would say. Of course, all you want, but seeing cars tumble down to the Eau Rouge in the middle of the night and then immediately up totheRaidillon isperhapsauniquejewel that only Spacan give.
Wandering shadows, sometimes lost, who search every day for something along the same roads, perhapsmeeting thesamefaces, looking for security, stability, comfort. But everything changes, nothing can be stopped. We are only passing through this reality. We move like figures imprinted on the film of a world in Technicolor, that with its saturated, vivid colors, is the background to our lives, often becomingthereal protagonist.
Reflecting on the recent actions of the world, and while browsing the pagesof thisnew issue of NJM for thelatest "filings", I spontaneously thought how lifeis often in color, but sometimes in black and white. A film, somewould say. But even on thistherewould be to discuss... I find that there is a cyclicity in human actions: in the end, after a path, you alwaysreturn to the start, as in a circuit or in a special test, to understand. We take extreme actions, which inevitably affect our livesor theworld around us,and weoften look for a challenge, whether it?sjumpingon a snowboard from the top of a mountain, or jumping at 300 an hour with a car. But once we get to the finish line, are we really better than when we started? Why do we always repeat what we do, for better or worse? Maybebecausethefirst rival to fight is not your teammate, it is not the driver alongside you on the grid, and it is not even that snowy mountain, but it is simply our "I". Or our "Ego," if you will.
Hard rock snow! When the desire for freedom challenges the laws of physics, when you want to give vent to the impetus of life, put a board under your feet, get on a helicopter and you find yourself at morethan 3,000 meters above sea level. It is not just a matter of snowboarding, it is to feel the vital impulse flowing inside you! It?s just you, the snow, the pungent air and an almost total confidence in the board, but mostly in your ability tochallengeareally tough descent.
