“Now that we’re done talking about the

end of the world, maybe we can focus on making this the beginning of a better world.”

That was a quote posted on Facebook by more than one person recently. I liked it enough to share it on my page.

As we are set to embrace the second month of 2013, I think it is time to do just that. We collectively have had a month to settle into 2013 and many have set goals and dreams to achieve within the coming year. Yet how do we begin to make it a better world?

and create what we wish to see.

Now is a great time to work towards making a better world. It begins by being a spiritual being, more importantly, by remembering you are indeed this spark. Next, it requires knowing that you are a human, and as such can, mold and create the life you truly desire. To mold a better world, each human needs to create the life they want.

It starts with one, YOU. From there it extends out and eventually the world, or should I say the inhabitants of the world, will have created a new experience and guidelines for living this human experience as a spiritual spark.

The quote:

The time is now, as we are on the cusp of a major world shift which will not happen in one year but will take place over many years. WE could all see world peace in our time here on earth.

Brought it to light for me. Each of us does indeed; start off as a spiritual being. WE come into this world with no attachments and have not been programed at that point as to how we should live our lives. Life experiences begin to set the path that each individual will walk. There are many paths, each as unique as the millions of humans living on this planet.

I ask each of you to think about what a better world means to you, and then set out on a journey to expand your horizons, step out of your box and start living that life. The “world” in the sense of the quote above is not the earth herself, it is each individual working towards making this a better place.

“We are not human beings having a spiritual experience. We are spiritual beings having a human experience.”

As we all start out as spirit, we all start on an even playing field. No one person is better than the next; each has exactly the same advantages and capabilities to create a beautiful life.

What brings about greatness is that we are human beings. This is the fabric upon which we create our life. It starts off as a blank slate, and while family influences mold us into a person based on their experiences, at some point we get to break the mold

It has started already, some of these events have been horrific, yet from these horrific events groups of “humans” start to band together, each with the same beliefs to make small steps into the beginning of a better world.

In January I wrote a blog titled “2013” (should you wish to read it click here), this is the last paragraph …

“It is indeed an exciting time to be alive and be a par-

ticipant on the planet Earth. As individuals we must keep in mind that our first task is to keep ourselves in a state of balance. Making changes when necessary to keep this balance during the coming transformations.

Have faith in the universe and ourselves to pull us through to the other side and last but not least … take advantage of each opportunity as it is presented to us.

By doing so 2013 will be a marvelous year filled with endless possibilities, glorious pride and joy and we will be ready to step into 2014”.

For many right now “keeping ourselves in a state of balance” seems to be challenging. I have had the opportunity to not only speak with others experiencing “un-balance” but went through a bout of it myself. As it is an important part of how we live life to the fullest, I decided to delve into the topic of balance and see what I could come up with. Some of you might have already come to this place of knowing, and for some of you it will be new, yet hopefully we will all learn and take away a kernel of wisdom from my findings.

Our world is made up of polarities. Everywhere you look there they are, North – South, Left – Right, East –

West, Right – Wrong, Conscious – Unconscious, Up – Down. These polarities keep the earth balanced. What keeps humans balanced? How exactly do we measure balance? There is no large scale on which to jump that will magically tell us if we are balanced or not. We cannot use a ledger book to figure out if we are in balance or not. We have to use our own internal system.

Therein lies the dilemma! What is in balance for me might look out of balance for you. There is no set rule to follow or feelings to guide us or say, “Yes!! That is balance! If I achieve that, then I am in balance” Balance basically means to be centered. When we are centered, life flows smoothly. We are able to go with the flow and ride the up and down waves without going from one extreme to the next (happy – sad, elated - angry). To achieve a state of balance then, we must come from our center. Our center resides inside us, cannot be seen, and cannot be physically touched, and reminds me of the Helen Keller quote “The best and

most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt within the heart.”

That is what it means to be centered, to live by our heart measures, which allows us to feel love and joy, and enables us to let things go and move forward each day.

It is really rather easy to get to center. Oh, it seems like we create big wheels out of little tiny spokes but essentially being centered means bringing ourselves back to us. Not focusing on what is going on around us that we have no control over anyway, but by focusing on what we are doing.

If we are burning the candle at the both ends, we need to realize, that eventually the candle will burn out and we will be un-balanced. If we are only having fun, eventually our responsibilities will catch up with us and we will be overwhelmed with tasks to complete, again un-balanced. If all we do is give of ourselves through energy, love or material items, we will become unbalanced. Do you see the pattern forming yet? Remember, earlier I mentioned that our world was made up of polarities? I believe that mother earth, science, Source etc. really has balance figured out. Everything has an opposite, and that is what keeps it in balance it.

Our opposites reside within us and are at our control.

Sleep – awake; play – work; happy-sad; masculinefeminine; love-hate. Each of these things we have control over. We can in essence have balance all the time. It is up to us to acknowledge when we are tipping the scales too far one way or the other. Then it is up to us to correct the un-balance and bring it back to whole, bring it back to center.

Balance is an inside job, no point in looking outside of yourself. It is not your job, your spouse, your children, your family, friends, universal energy, time speeding up, or aliens causing you to be unbalanced.

How can I say that? Think about this for a moment….

Each of our thoughts and actions are like magnets, they draw that which we desire towards us, and all too often that which we don’t desire as well.

We allow ourselves to get out of balance, and because we are human we are very good at justifying what we are doing and why. We work overtime because it will get us ahead in our jobs. We do things for people because we want to, but also because either we figure they can’t or won’t and we want to feel loved and appreciated. There are a million more reasons why each person does things, each unique to the individual and too lengthy to list here. The point is, that we can blame external interferences all we want but at the end of the day who allows it to happen? Fortunately, and I do mean fortunately, we do, so that means that we can shift and tweak the un-balance into balance.

First up, acknowledge that you are out of balance when you feel like you are being pulled one way or the other. Second, don’t be too hard on yourself but don’t look to outside influences to place responsibility either.

Figure out where the unbalance is and work from there. If you are tired, take time to rest. If you have been working hard and long, make a date to do something fun just for you. Giving too much of yourself?

Treat yourself to something where you will be the receiver, such as a manicure, pedicure, or dinner out.

it, seek help. It could be friends or a professional, often just having someone hear you is enough to trigger where you went off course. Or they might see something you are overlooking.

The underlying message I got from all of this, is that I have to look after/out for me. When I try to please everyone or worry about all the things that are going on that I have no control over, I get out of balance.

What makes me happy, what keeps me sane, how much do I want to give? Being able to discern these simple boundaries keeps me in balance.

A simple technique you can try if you find yourself unbalanced is; sit quietly and take a couple of deep breathes, focus on drawing the air in and releasing it.

This brings you back to center so even if you are unbalanced you should feel calmer and be able to carry on. Probably the most important thing is to just acknowledge you are un-balanced without judgment and then take the time to figure out where you are tipping the scale.

The best part of being un-balanced is that it usually does not last long. Our system – body, mind, and soul – will not let us stay in that state for too long before it steps in and corrects the situation for us. Usually this shows up as an illness and we have choice but to look after it. If you find that you are constantly feeling unbalanced I urge you to seek professional help.

Balance [bal-uh ns] 1. A state of equilibrium or equipoise; equal distribution of weight, amount, etc.

2. The power or ability to decide an outcome by throwing one's strength, influence, support, or the like, to one side or the other.

3. Mental steadiness or emotional stability; habit of calm behaviour, judgment, etc.

Even the dictionary definition of balance believes that you have the power to live a life in balance. “The pow-

er or ability to decide the outcome by throwing one’s strength, influence, support or the like, to one side or the other”

Choose to live in balance and you will always know peace.

What images/thoughts/stories/songs came to mind when you read that word? Anything?

Love is one of the most powerful of all human emotions and yet can be one of the most difficult to write about.

I spend endless hours writing and thinking about love and yet I wonder what am I actually wanting?

Have you ever written about love? If you haven't why not? And if you have, why?

Was it easy for you or a challenge?

Did it matter if you considered yourself to be having a bad day or a good day?

My writing began with the word love sitting in the middle of the page. I wrote it within a heart and decided that it looked very “cheesy�. Then it led to me thinking back to my elementary school books which had my first love's initials written all over it in a heart: D.B. We used to hold hands and walk around the school together. Other kids would comment and ask if we were in love, giggle and walk away. I often blushed not knowing what love meant, but if it felt like I could smile all day...than I most certainly was in love!

As I completed my ten minute free write my story moved into the question: was that love? What is love? How do I know what love is? Is love ________?

After my free write I continued to stay on the topic of love and what love I have shown myself and others. What did love feel like? How do I show my self

love? I wrote down a list of questions down the left hand side of the page and then on the right hand side left it open for any answers that came my way.

Here is a little bit of what I had written: What is love?

Why do we need love?

Why do we desire love?

Who is love?

Can I have hate and love at once?

Why is the heart shaped the way it is when it is anatomically incorrect?

I have not responded to my questions...yet! But, I do feel that as I review them I will begin to jot down ideas. Maybe I could even have them as my free writes over the next month?

As I read through my journaling books I remembered one activity in the Writing Your Authentic Self

by Lois Guarino that I enjoyed. I would like to share that with you...

Instead of using your journal to figure out your lover (as many of us do!), use it to learn about yourself in love.

Start by making a list of what you want to know.

You might ask if you are truly yourself with this person or if you've had to make uncomfortable compromises...look at both the positive and negative aspects of your behaviour. Do you recognize any cycles?

After that writing activity I wrote on little sheets of paper loving thoughts and put them around the house for people to find!

Other ideas: Write yourself a love letter describing how amazing you are! Write a love letter to your ideal partner, write a love letter to your partner or to a family member. Write loving quotes and put them in a jar for yourself and others....

I found this past month to be filled with questions and not necessarily with answers. I have enjoyed sitting by the fire in my new house and contemplating: what is love?

Even if I do not ever find the “right� answer I know I am close...

Most of us know that there is a ‘flu epidemic’ across the nation. Older people, younger people, sick and healthy are all ‘at risk’. Why? Why this year?

In this article, we will look at the metaphysical possible reasons for this flu epidemic in 2013 and what you can do to help yourself.

There was a lot of talk in 2012 that the world was ending. Those of us who may vibrate slightly differently never thought that to be true. In fact, many people knew that the shift into 2013 was about a shift in consciousness. It was about us shifting out of fear and into love. There were a lot of ‘children movies’ out last year to echo this – The Green Lantern and Rise of the Guardians just to name a few. The message was always the same – we have a choice with our thoughts as to where we wish to vibrate – in fear or in love.

Every single moment, every single second and every single thought is about that choice. We have the capability of shifting simply by shifting our thoughts. It takes no more than a few seconds, applied consistently throughout our day. As we do it regularly, it does get easier to do. It takes patience and discipline for us to do this work. With consistent practice, we can shift our vibration significantly, feel better and truly alter our reality.

The 2013 flu is also a reminder of the same. There are so many belief systems, news stories and people talking about it that it is putting a lot of people into a cycle of fear. Fear is crippling us. It is actually freezing our muscles and our entire emotional system.

When we stay fearful, then our immune system decreases which increases our potential for the flu. I feel that it is a gift for us in early 2013 to ask us where we wish to vibrate. What a great gift!

But, what happens if you get it?

Does that mean you are bad and have been vibrating in a bad place? No! If you do get a little sick, guess what? You have a choice in those days (and every day) as to where you choose to vibrate. While you choose to vibrate in love, you will find that it

will subside easier and faster simply through this awareness.

It is hard to imagine, but the simple practice of breath awareness and meditation can actually alleviate many of your symptoms. I have taught this to many people recently, and amazingly, their symptoms improved dramatically!

Present moment awareness is the key. In our minds we have definitions of how long the flu should last, how bad it should be and how sick we should get.

When we stay there, we are creating a reality that we may not like simply through our belief systems. When we meditate and connect with a higher energy, we can ask them to clear it, release it, destroy it and shift it immediately!

well, guide them into present moment awareness meditations and be prepared to watch the miracles! Have fun in 2013 – and remember – we can use this for everything and anything that comes our way. What a huge gift!

You are a tuning fork. A divine tuning fork, vibrating constantly. Everything that comes into your awareness intensifies your vibration. Meditation is an important tool in our life skills kit. The more aware you become of your energy field the quicker you become aware of changes in it and the better you get at dealing with the effects.

There are many levels of awareness. On a really complex level….yet a very simple level….everything that is affects you—whether you are consciously aware of it or not. When a star is born you are aware. When a child is born—you are aware. When someone dies—you are aware. Whether you listen to the news or not you are aware of all that is happening in the world and in the universe.

We are not taught to pay attention to how what is happening around us is affecting us on an energetic level, and how it moves from that to our mental, emotional and physical bodies. This month I want you to become intensely aware of your energy field. Start in the morning, before you get out of bed. If you use an alarm clock, set it 10 minutes earlier than you usually do. As you lie in bed, focus on your energy field. How does it feel? How do you feel? Physically? Mentally? Emotionally? What are you thinking about as you wake up? Pull your whole focus to your energy field and consciously through your breath bring your whole being to balance. You are going to have to stay aware—falling back to sleep will not facilitate the process (although if that happens, be gentle with yourself). You may need to sit up—and if that is the case, just do it. The point of this exercise is to start your day in balance. (Tip: if you are able to set a gentle alarm—such as a phone alarm—to ring 15 minutes after you begin this exercise you may find yourself able to relax into it rather than stressing about whether you are going to fall back asleep or not.)

This may seem to be a very simple exercise— and it is. Some of you may already have a morning practice that is very similar to this and I challenge you to follow this exercise anyway.

Once you feel completely balanced, rise from your bed. Do not rush this—keep your attention on your energy field for as long as you can. What happens as you move into the bathroom, have your shower and start thinking about your day? See if you can spot the point at which you lose this focused awareness of your energy field. Relax and let it be. Know that as you continue working your awareness will expand and grow.

Keep a journal so that you can follow this wonderful journey you are embarking on. Give yourself the gift of writing in it for 10 minutes or so before you go to sleep—and if you are so inclined, at other points during the day so that you can record any insights you have.

they might seem, as radical as the ideas of a round earth, or the sun as the center of our solar system must have seemed when they began to dawn on human consciousness.

The paradoxical difference is that science gave us answers about our physical world, but what science is discovering now about the nature of reality has been known by sages through the ages. Science is catching up with Spirit. Science is teaching us now, that all things are connected. Hindu mystical wisdom has long taught that maya, the illusion of separateness obscures the underlying oneness of reality. Kabir, the fifteenth-century Indian poet said: ‘Behold the One in all things. It is the second that leads you astray.’

Cosmologists teach us that we are made of the same stuff as the galaxies—yet long ago Cardinal Nicholas of Cusa said ‘The Universe is in each person in such a way that each person is in it; and so every person in the Universe is the Universe.’ Scientists suggest that the human brain may be a hologram fragment of the Universe—the whole of the universe existing within that fragment. Thus we would have access to some kind of understanding of all that is, for it is in us. Similarly, the Gnostic mystics were concerned with the direct realization of eternal truths –intuitive insight into the nature of reality. This knowledge, they believed, could be accessed directly.

Similarly, Jesus said, ‘The kingdom of Heaven is within you,’ while Rumi offered, ‘When you seek Him, look for Him in your looking. Closer to you than yourself to yourself.’

intuited in the past. If anything, our dependence upon, and favoring of left-brain rationality over or more intuitive, sensing capabilities has handicapped us in terms of accessing this wisdom.

What is different now, is our emerging understanding that soul is not something that emerges out of physical form, but that physical form is an expression of soul. Our lives are the physical manifestation of our essence. We are not the ‘created’ but rather, the ‘creators.’ This, of course, changes everything. What happens when we bring conscious awareness to that process? Can we be the ‘lucid dreamers’ in this ‘dream’ of life? I think we can.

In order to do so though, we must be in touch with our spirits, we must make room for soul to be felt, and silence, for it to be heard. With the growing dominance of technology in our lives— computers, cell phones, video games, big screen televisions—soul is being squeezed out.

If soul’s purpose is to shape knowledge into material form, what kind of raw material are we giving it to work with? Is the material form manifesting globally today a reflection of the kind of ‘knowledge’ we have been shaping?

These are sobering thoughts. The notion of being ‘conscious’ extends far beyond our own individual thoughts and psyches. We must be collectively conscious of the world we are creating. Perhaps we should turn everything off for a while, and just listen…

It would seem to me that whatever soul, or soul-knowing is, it has been a constant in the human species, independent of era or worldly knowledge. Modern day expressions of wisdom are not more insightful or profound than those

Later Spring Growth

Long, Long ago when I was in high school I briefly became interested in edible plants. Being a person who loved to eat I naturally was fascinated by the fact that wild food was literally growing under my feet, I walked over it every day not realizing the potential lying underfoot!

After doing a little research I learned that Horsetail when picked young tasted much like asparagus, and I love asparagus! As luck would have it we lived next to stream and we had an abundant supply of horsetail growing in our own back yard, but more on that later

Early Spring

Horsetail is one of the earth’s oldest surviving plants (about 300 million years old.) At that time they were huge tree-like plants that grew to about 45 feet in height. Today Horsetail grows in a much shorter format. It’s a very common weed plant that thrives in damp areas and reproduces by spores which are found on the tips of the early spring plant (see photo left).

There are several different varieties of horsetail growing in the Vancouver area ranging from Common Horsetail, Equisetum arvense, Swamp Horsetail, Equisetum fluviatile, and Scouring Rush, Equisetum hyemale, but for eating and medicinal use we’ll stick with Equisetum arvense.

Horsetail pops up in early spring with large fertile, jointed, spore producing stems which are easily recognizable. These tan stems and the tuberous growths on the roots can be picked. The spore producing tip and the outer coating on the stem can be discarded and the sweet inner core can be eaten raw, or add it to cooked dishes, or simply steam and eat alone. When I picked the early stems I steamed them, and yes they do have an asparaguslike flavor, but the texture is a little different.

Later in the spring when the green stems appear you can gather them for tea until the lacey branches begin to point downward. The tea from these green stems is toning and astringent and has historically been a remedy for internal bleeding such as ulcers.

To quicken the release of kidney stones horsetail has been used to increase urinary flow and also used to tone and flush infectious bacteria out of the bladder. It is said to be very helpful for bronchitis and other disorders of the lungs. The high silica content is reported to help with the teeth, hair, nails, bones, tendons and connective tissues of the body.

The green stems in large amounts can cause difficulty when eaten raw because of an enzyme called thiaminase which depletes thiamine in the body.

Cooking destroys this enzyme, which makes the herb safe to take in tea form to treat a condition, but not to be used daily in large amounts for prolonged periods, or for children or if you are pregnant. Horsetail is a plant that has been used medicinally for millennia with success, but it must be used with respect. My motto is if in doubt check it out with a professional!

summer arrived and the swelter of a greasy, oiled head cooking under a hat was more than he could bear. It is said horsetail tea hair rinse will eliminate dandruff and head lice. I haven’t tried this, but it is also reported to be used to rid pets of fleas.

After the branches turn downward they are past their prime and the silica within the plant crystallizes. This late summer horsetail makes an excellent scrubber for cooking pots and in ancient times it was used to scour and polish armor and bring a shine to pewter. First Nations people used this scouring rush to sand wooden objects.

Gardeners can make a strong tea from late summer horsetails and spray this on plants that are infested with fungus or aphids. Apparently the silica lacerates the aphid’s mouths making them unable to feed.

Horsetail can be difficult to remove from your garden beds, so why not put it to good use. As they say for every problem there is a built in solution!

It also makes a wonderful hair rinse, Put 1 heaping tablespoon of horsetail herb in 1 cup of boiling water, allow it to steep for 30 minutes. After washing your hair pour this tea over the hair to stimulate hair growth.

My granddaughter, Gillian, is now eighteen years old and walking across the stage to accept her graduation certificate. She has the world before her. This is another breath taking moment for me and I want to be onboard with her as she moves forward. I do remember her as a seven pound sleeping bundle, a joy to discover and wrote these lines recording our first close encounter.

Gillian is three days out of the womb, is missing her mother's cozy enclosure and steady heartbeat. We have settled onto the sofa, my wee granddaughter cuddled in a blanket and nestled into my chest. Her sweet smelling body relaxes immediately into a gentle purring and, soon, I sense a still space around her and am drawn into the deep quiet of this infant's private world. I slow down my every system, concentrate on this miracle on my bosom. I hear her faint heartbeat and soft feather-like breathing.

We are both blissfully calm and everything around us melts away. I am transported to a place I`ve never been-- perhaps we are sharing the same dream or our hearts have found each other. This is my chance to be a grandmother, to bond and I am tuning into her whole being with every fibre.

This rune is a symbol of protection. Drawing Eihwaz indicates you have set you sights on a reasonable target and are well able to achieve your goals.

once was a small fishing village in a secluded bay off the south coast of Norway. For many generations the villagers made a modest, although, sufficient living from the sea. They were, by no means wealthy, but they were content and delighted in the quiet surroundings and glad to be unknown by the outside world. Eventually, they tired of their simple existence and wanted some of the wealth that others had. They put out a rumor that their bay had more fish in it than any other place in Scandinavia. Their objective was to lure fishermen in and charge exorbitant rates for boats and gear. Sure enough, outsiders began arriving in their little fishing village happy to pay whatever they were charged for the privilege of fishing in this exclusive bay. Because the newcomers were by and large happy with the amount of fish they caught, they spread the word to other anglers and soon so many people were coming that the villagers stopped doing anything else to make a living. Instead of being farmers or fishermen, they became dealers in bait, tackle, hooks and boats. Everyone was now making more silver than they had ever dreamed of.

Meanwhile, the fields lay fallow and it was only the strangers that launched their boats. The village began to deteriorate because no one wanted to bother with local arts and crafts except for things that were shoddily made and easily sold. But by autumn, things had changed. Because of all the over fishing, the bay no longer was producing fish so the fishermen stayed away. With winter fast approaching, the villagers were now faced with starvation. They hadn’t bothered to store away any food so now they

had to buy fish from the fisherman they had over charged and who now understandably, sought to get their money back.

During the winter solstice festival, the villagers cried out to Njord to pity them in their time of need. He was the god of seamanship, the divine patron of sailors. He would mediate for them with Aesir and Ran, the often difficult god and goddess of the seas.

Instead, Njord decided they needed to relearn the skills that had sustained them and their forefathers and stayed in Noatun, his palace, the Enclosure of Ships at the bottom of the sea and refused to answer them. “Let them remember who they were. I will not be their teacher. The need they created out of their own avarice will instruct them. Let them learn from it or perish”

He caused more fish than ever before to fill the bay and the villagers rejoiced at his generosity and honored him at an annual spring festival. From then on, whenever strangers asked how the fishing was, they would reply, “terrible!”

Lisa Peschel writes that Njord’s rune “always indicates a time of passing through a difficult learning situation. This is known as ‘crossing the abyss’. It could be a health problem, but invariably some kind of necessity is at issue. McVan refers to it by its ancient name, Naudhiz, the need rune. Guido von List quotes an old German saying, “The need rune blossoms on the nail of the Norn” – one of the spinners of destiny.

“This is not “need” (distress) in the modern sense of the word, but rather the “compulsion of fate” that the Norn fix according to primal laws. With this, the organic causality of all phenomena is to be understood…he commands knowledge of the future and also understands how to settle strife through ‘the constraint of the clearly recognized way of fate’ Therefore, use your fate, do not strive against it.”

Njord’s gemstone is obsidian, which is philologically related to obstacle, obstruction, obstinacy, etc. It also signifies scarcity or absence. Possibilities seem foiled or hindered. Often it is we, ourselves, who are to blame, so Njord counsels honest introspection and then the courage to do what is needed to “do right and fear no one.

Njord’s place in the Norse zodiac is Noatun, his undersea palace and appropriately corresponding with Pisces, starting Feb 19 and ending on March 20, the vernal equinox which happens to be Njord’s feast day.

His color also underscores the tie in, which is sea blue.

The villagers agonized through the worst winter they had ever known, faced with starvation and abandoned by their god. With difficulty, they survived through the long winter of snow and frost. By spring, all their money was gone, used for basic survival. Yet they did learn their lesson and immediately started rebuilding their village. Farmers returned to their neglected fields and livestock, fishermen returned to the sea hoping that one or two fish might have strayed into their bay.

Njord, meanwhile, had been following their struggles through winter and was impressed with the way they had returned to their former way of life.

Our bodies weren't designed to sit in chairs and stare at computer screens for hours on end. However computers are very helpful in reminding us and lightening or workload. One of the things that can create a balance in ones workload is to set an hourly reminder to stretch. By taking five minutes on the hour you can increase your productivity and bring a much appreciated stretch to the body.

Here are a few powerful chair stretches. Sitting with your feet firmly planted on the floor, twist your upper body to the right, placing your left hand on your right knee and your right hand on back of your chair creating a gentle twist in the lower lumbar. Hold the pose for five deep breaths and release.

Slowly returning to center testing for three breaths and then repeat on the other side.

Sitting in your chair or standing behind your chair inhale and stretch your right arm above your head, exhale and slowly lean your upper body to the left. Continue to breathe enjoying five deep breaths. Inhale coming back up to center and exhale lowering the arm back to the side of the body. Inhale and stretch your left arm above your head, exhale and slowly lean your upper body to the right.

Continue to breathe enjoying five deep breaths.

Moving your hands to your low back, inhale stretching the body up and exhale leaning back. Next you’re going to inhale stretching your arms up and exhale bending forward from the waist. You can rest your hands on the seat of your chair or if your body its quite flexible then head all the way down to your toes and hold the pose for five deep breaths.

Next were going to end with a few lunges to wake up the legs and get the blood flowing. You can do these on the spot with the assistance of a chair or make good use of your time heading to the copier or water cooler in the office. Caution you may get a few strange looks from your coworkers. When you do lunges you want to be mindful that your knee stays in alignment with your ankle and not past the ankle as this puts unnecessary stress on your knees. One must always love and be good to your knees.

Over the past few months leading up to 2013, many of us have experienced shifts and adjustments of a personal nature (inner world), which have also been reflected in the outer world (everyday life). You would be forgiven for thinking it would never end!

Me? Well, I've been 'shedding and cleansing' via the ‘Flu bug that hit the UK before Christmas. It lasted a whole month so I must have had a lot to clear! However, I now feel able to begin the New Year with renewed vigor and clarity.

As I previously shared with you in the June 2012 issue of Nourish last year, my personal ascension/catharsis culminated in the form of Depression, As bad as it felt at the time, I could see the up-side to it – hence my article reflects not only the issues surrounding depression pragmatically, but also with humor. Yes, I found that to be entirely possible!

Although I wanted a quick fix, that was not the way for me.

After many years of spiritual seeking, learning and teaching, I thought it couldn’t – nay, shouldn’t – happen to me. I was a LIGHTWORKER for goodness’ sake.

I reflect now on how quickly we move to take ourselves out of a negative state of emotion, but we don’t move so quickly to run away from Happy or Joyful! I believe that all emotions are valuable, and having put my belief to the test, have emerged stronger and hopefully wiser and kinder for the experience. In short, I got to know my own Misery. She’s pretty cool. She’s also wise and lovingly generous.

During this transformational time, I discovered that the more I embraced the stillness within me, the more I became aware of an energy so pure and so powerful it took my breath away.

have been involved with energy work and channeling for a long time, and thought I’d reached the zenith of my limitations (!) Silly me…

I have experienced what I call All There Is many times.

Some call it God. Soime call it The Universe or the Great Spirit. But this energy was different.

My heart beat in rhythm with Pure Love as it spoke to me:

I am your Mother.

Tears coursed down my face and into the dishwater, as I experienced more love than I have ever felt before. A sense of complete calm and peace enveloped me and I knew I was at the end of a cycle and at the beginning of a new one. An EXCITING new one!

The Mother, I am told, resides deep in the heart of the soul of the heart (complicated but simple). The Mother is always there and never gives up on anyone or any thing.

I was shown how, by going to my darkest place and embracing it, my life had become much simpler. I let go, including material stuff I no longer wanted or needed. Not that I don't cherish things, but I don't NEED them any more in the way I did before.

I have truly made the connection in my heart to the Mother, who never lets me down!

The results are the evidence. As I have been quietly getting on with just Being, I have had a few wonderful surprises and unexpected gifts.

The first being the sudden and unexpected return of my Prodigal Daughter, Kate, whom I haven't seen in 21 years! No need to go into the why’s and wherefores. Suffice to say, she had a sudden feeling 'it was time to heal things between us'... and subsequently made excellent use of the opportunity of becoming an Aunt for the first time to get in touch. (Oh Joy! our first granddaughter, Evelyn ‘Amazing’ Grace, was born on 4th July 2012, in the Year of the Dragon).

As the presence of this vast and wonderful Love continued to embrace me, I heard the word PANGAEA. I asked what this meant and it was explained to me that it is now time to return to the Mother energy. Mother being ALL there is... and now that people are ready more than ever before, it is time to return to the Divine Feminine Principle that also incorporates and embraces the Father. The Mother as I experience ‘it’ is not male or female but a powerful amalgamation of both! The love is indescribably beautiful and very clear in the explanation that Pangaea was the state of the world before ‘the split’ occurred. It was explained to me that ‘the split’ occurred not only geographically and geologically, but also spiritually and emotionally. The Hu-man and the Soul/Spirit counterpart began to drift apart and a kind of chaos ensued.

I think that is beyond wonderful.

When this split occurred on the higher levels (as above, so below) the physical continents began to shift and break apart causing separation, and the humans also divided.

Thereby races, colors, creeds, religions, etc. arose, separating us further.

Today, out of the blue, I received a phone call from an old agency I used to work for, asking me if I wanted to be on their books for future work? ]

2012 was the tipping point. The Mayans were indeed wise (understatement). It appears that their calendar signified the end of ‘marking time’ and of relating to life experience as ‘karmic’. Not only are we now on our way back to UNITY, we are on the path of Personal Power and ownership of our own Destiny… a space where Time and Calendars are irrelevant. I finally understand what Dimensional Shift means. I don't mean that the continents will suddenly drift back together overnight and become one again, and it will be a long time (in my opinion) before the planet is really ready to unite in a big way. Symbolically, as I understand it, Pangaea is the name for the Great Mother, signifying a Unity that has not been known for many eons of time...

Pangaea is a state of Being that resides deep within and is the very Heart of the Cosmos and all of Creation. It is the Creator of All and the Creation of All. Big, eh? You bet!

The next thing to happen was only a couple of weeks ago when my dear friend India and I were chatting on Skype and she suddenly suggested I visit her in Florida in February. I don’t have the price of a bus ticket at the moment, sailing close to the wind financially (as many of us are).

She immediately offered to buy my round-trip-ticket and within moments, I was the recipient of a 10-day vacation in the sun!

Yesterday I was chewing over the possibility of going back to some kind of paid work. I discussed this with Mother over a cup of tea and some home-made coffee cake and left it with her.

I didn’t have to move a muscle… only my thoughts. Ask and it shall be Given indeed!

I have a renewed energy and an excitement for what’s around the corner. I know that 2013 is a wonderful New Year in which we will see many more changes for the better.

Mantra is an aspect of Yoga that is rarely written about and though it is prevalent in many classes it’s not really focused on. You may notice that a lot of Yoga classes start by saying three om’s. Om represents the root vibration that runs through the universe. While reading a scientific journal several years ago I came across an article about a galaxy that was just forming. They said it emanated a sound that was some 20 octaves below the middle C. Far too low for the human ear to pick up but is this the sound of creation?

I found mantra not only changed my inner vibration but also had an effect on those around me and often times their perception of me upon our first meeting. There are also mantras that are designed to bring about specific results. There are healing mantras, mantras for prosperity and just about anything else you might need. I’ve found it’s not so much a matter of the meaning of the words but the specific sounds that create the change, thus pronunciation is important.

What your physical body can perceive is not always all there is. We are limited in our range of hearing, spectrum of sight and perceptions of the physical. We know this to be true as you cannot see the air yet we know there is oxygen and other gases. We cannot see electricity yet we know there are electrons pushing each other through conductive wire.

However the science behind Mantra is sound (no pun intended).

Everything in the universe vibrates and has movement. If you put any solid object under an electron microscope you will see protons and neutrons moving around the nucleus of atoms. Although with our limited sense of hearing we do not hear the noise of the universe and the fact is we also tune much of it out. If you put on a set of headphones and just listen you might notice there is a constant hum. This is the sound of millions of atoms and the universe both within and without.

There is always that background noise that we simply do not notice.

After I took Mantra initiation I learned a lot of Sanskrit mantras. Sanskrit is a particularly powerful language in that it was never used for common speech and thus unchanged through time. Swami Sivananda had said in one of his books that “In this day and age, mantra is the quickest way to change ones internal vibration”. I think he may have been right as after years of practicing mantra yoga I can

Chanting mantra is not just a Yogic, Hindu or Buddhist practice.

There are a lot of Catholic chants that are usually done in Latin. Native American Shamans also chanted or sang in their perspective languages. The power to change the vibration both within one’s self or the vibration around ones self is not difficult if one understands the basics of energy and vibration. We literally create our own world not only through what we surround ourselves with but also through the people and the sounds we bring into our lives.

I played music for many years as a profession and can attest to the fact that sounds can change the atmosphere of a room and move people to joy or even tears. People who listen to death metal or some other forms of angry music are usually more aggressive than someone who listens to classical.

Mantra was just the next step in my spiritual education.

In conclusion I would advise filling your lives with people that you love and sounds that are spiritually charged to bring happiness into your life and the lives of those around you.

Grab and Go Morning Muffins HEAT oven to 350ºF. 1 cup old-fashioned oats 1 cup buttermilk 1 pkg. (8 oz.) Cream Cheese, softened ¼ cup granulated sugar 3 Tbsp. orange zest 1 cup flour ¾ cup packed brown sugar 1 tsp. Baking Powder ½ tsp. baking soda ½ tsp. salt 1 egg, beaten

best fresh May to August with July still beneficial frozen or dried the rest of the year

¼ cup butter, melted 1 cup fresh or frozen mixed berries COMBINE oats and buttermilk in small bowl; let stand 10 min.

MEANWHILE, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar and zest with mixer until blended; set aside. Mix flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl.

ADD egg and butter to oat mixture; stir until well blended. Add to dry ingredients; stir just until moistened. Gently stir in berries.

SPOON half the batter evenly into 12 muffin cups lined with extra-large or giant paper liners, filling each liner half full; top each with 2 Tbsp. cream cheese filling.

Cover with remaining batter.

BAKE 25 to 27 min. or until toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean.

This morning started out with a bang…ok lightening! There I was drowsily sipping my tea and suddenly I felt as if it had turned into a magic container filled with lightening.

Thoughts and awareness crackled like lightening through my brain. The download from the Empress of the Universe began with barely a “Good morning, Gail.”

This is Part 2 of a series on learning how to create your life the way you want it. From everything we are getting, 2013 is a dynamic year….and the keyword for the year is ‘creating.’ We have been given a blank page and we are being asked to turn our dreams into reality. And how do we do that: we create.

I suppose it’s no surprise either that we are talking about the Bridge of Creation in the month of Valentine’s Day. Merchandised or not, Valentine’s Day puts us into our hearts, doesn’t it? We either hanker for a really loving event to happen, or we hanker for someone in our lives with which to share an event and perhaps to turn it into a wonderful memory. Now everyone now a days has a partner for Valentine’s Day, after all.

As a child in grade school I remember my big package of valentines cards and going down the list of classmates’ names, carefully picking out just the right valentine message for each one of them. I remember getting a dozen red roses a few times over my lifetime. I remember red cinnamon hearts and a cup of tea and a nice magazine as my main inner valentine event too on my single Valentine’s Day events.

But all of these events relate to my constellation of heart feeling and Valentine’s Day memories.

For me the bottom line is feeling the desire to feel unconditional love: pure and wondrous love the way we imagine it to be. May I share a secret here: it’s really even better than we imagine it to be….but getting past the fear of being hurt takes a bit of wiggling and a lot of courage. But that’s another day and another article.

The Bridge Now then. What is the bridge of creation?

Well sex of course! OK, I suppose I should explain, eh? Creation requires an alchemical process. In the most biological forms of alchemy: egg and sperm combine to form a zygote that becomes a child nine months later. We call this making babies. But I think we take that alchemical process of sex a little too mater-of-fact-ly. Let me explain this a bit.

Years ago I was taken on a trip with the Mother of the stars, the Empress of the Universe or Mrs. God herself. One day she whispered in my ear to hop aboard, we were going on an adventure. I barely had time to figure out where to hop and we were off. Not just a ride, mind you but THE ride: the big bang to be specific! The scientists who coined Creation as the big bang had to have understood it was really sex among the heavenly bodies ….didn’t they?

So there I was seeing and feeling what Mrs. God/Empress of the Universe was going through when Mr. God energy shot a spark into her and she simply exploded into matter. One second she was (Continued on page 29)

invisible and the next, she was exploding and I was riding the shock waves with her out into what was becoming a universe of star matter. I had an instant to be mad at Mr. God for causing her to erupt….but then she caught my attention and wanted me to understand she was having (and is still having) a magnificent orgasm of creation bursting forth from her. She was in ecstasy, marvelling at every speck that was emerging out of their explosive orgasm. Now for my surprise. Mr. God went right through the explosion with her and right out there into materiality too! She wanted to make it clear to me that they are both having a wondrous orgasm together and loving the adventure they are creating.

Mark the verb tense are. It is still going on. Here we are, human beings living right in the middle of one giant orgasm of Mother and Father Source.

How’s it feel so far?

Speaking of feeling it, can you remember the best orgasm you ever had? We are heading into Valentine’s Day, so don’t be embarrassed to do some inner research. What I’m going for here is for you to get into that feeling because it’s in that feeling that we finally understand the process of creating.

In science-speak, when magnetic energy (feminine aspect) combines with electrical energy (masculine aspect) we have alchemical magic! Ok, science speak doesn’t use the word magic. But I am. The bottom line is we create sparks whether it’s the big bang, delightful human orgasms or putting a plug in an outlet and turning on the light!

When it is in sex the obvious metaphor we as humans have understood so far is the physical one: we get a baby in 9 months. But at the non-physical level we haven’t paid much attention to what happens to humans yet. Thankfully we are loosening the doors of our primness and beginning to learn more about sexual energy. From the human point of view, it’s the greatest energy we have at our disposal. I have read that human orgasms create ripples out in the universe….and frankly from my experience, I’d say I have created more than a couple of star systems. When we bring the two opposite polarities together, (magnetic with electric) we make sparks fly, we have lightening. We create and those creativity parks of GoddessGod energy are drawn into manifestation.

WE CREATE. WE BECOME the CREATORS we really are. Remember from my trip with the Empress of the Universe, we are already sparks of Source energy, feminine and masculine

We have miles to go to catch up with ancient awareness of this powerful energy, let alone the joys of Tantric Sex practices. Shamans, Tantric Sex practitioners and people of power have been using this energy method since ancient times. For most of us normals, we haven’t really tapped into the Source-ness of sex yet. Doing that involves switching polarities and moving our energy up the ladder of our chakras. (Crossing the bridge) Most of the time we move the energy down the chakras. But it changes once we reach a certain energy level, can open our hearts and balance our right and left brain energies. (Yep, that’s saved for another time too.)

But there’s something else involved in the higher sexual process. We open all of the chakras or energy wheels in the body. Once this happens (and this is a really challenging process), we then become connected to the open energies of our partner in this process…we actually build the ladder with our own energies. Then, just like Mr. and Mrs. Source and their magnificent ongoing orgasm called ‘white hole’, when this happens we literally pop our energy out of our bodies and join together in a joyous cloud of dual energies which pushes us ‘out there’ in the stratosphere…wherever we choose to be, until eventually we disconnect and inhale our energy selves back into our individual bodies. We become separate entities once again. But during that orgasm and for a while we are a third being.

There’s more. When we come back together individually, we have brought back the higher frequency energy of the stratosphere (More of Mom and Dad Source), as well as exchanged energies with our partners. NB (nota bene means note well), we come back as slightly different individuals than when we went out. We have also cleared out a lot of heavier energies and gathered in a lot of higher frequency energies. There are things that happen after we return…tears, giggles, all manner of things, but this is not the subject of our article today. But just know that sex is also an amazing way to cleanse and heal our energies.

I have a sneaky feeling that when we are joined together as humans and pop out of our bodies we pop into Mrs. And Mr. Sources’ joined energies and enjoy a great instant conversation and ‘feel good’ with them, and who knows, maybe even a cosmic cigarette break! You know, ‘Hi Mom, hi Dad, how’s it goin?’

To which they will probably say something like, ‘you shouldn’t be smoking, you are too young!’

OK, really it’s going to be something not so judgmental I’m sure. But fun exchanges that will be of great value once you bring them back and decode them ov e r the f o l l o w in g h ou r s and

days….translating them from their pure energy into awareness.

Internal Creation OK, sex between two humans isn’t the only form of creation we have access to. The other form if creativity is internal sex, or inner creativity: Writing a book, creating an idea, designing a building, imagining something and then bringing it into physical reality ….well that’s inner sex, otherwise called creativity. The sex part is performed by joining our right brain with our left brain. Sparks of creative insight fly out of us and then when we are aligned and left and right brain balanced, things happen: a dome is designed; a new business idea is birthed; we teach energy management; we design websites; art forms appear; we create dances. We manifest ‘stuff.’ We create things, we invent things.

The hinky part is, if there’s imbalance between the left and right brain, it won’t happen quite as we intended it. We will either end up generating great dreams and schemes that fizzle before they

Step two, then is looking at life from half full, not half empty. Forget the problems and focus on the potentials and possibilities. One way to do it is to bend over and see the world upside down for a while….it’s also a good facial as long as you don’t pass out and bonk your head on the floor!

This process shows you what half full looks like.

Another way to do it is ‘flip the switch!’ Butterfly woman shared that secret with me when I was working on my book and I talk about it in detail in the book. Flipping the switch changes your life.

No delay - just instant poof! And it doesn’t require knocking yourself out when your head hits the floor, which is an added bonus.

Once we flip the switch to see from the point of what’s right and the cup half full, the balance between left and right brain, and heart and mind is created. That is the alchemy that makes us into a conscious creator. We create personally, we create with others and we continue to manifest our wondrous creations from our level all the way up to the big bang and galaxies. You have heard the saying, “As above, so below?” Well it works the other way too. “As below, so above.” After all, we are all part of Ms. and Mr. Source’s cells, just in tiny bodies. And how we manifest these experiences is by combining our heartful feelings with our balanced right and left brain energies and turning them into passions. Then we harness our passion into action and turn things into real 3-D creations. How fun is that!

Creating Our Own Creativity Last month we talked about letting go of the personal negatives that block us from manifesting what we want. Deep down inside all of us live some pretty harsh self-beliefs that play their scripts through us from an unconscious level. So step one is getting clear and accepting that we are amazing beings here for the purpose of having fun experiences in life.

On and on my mind went as all my energy was being sucked up. I missed him and felt more in love than ever. Is it perfect? Not exactly, however it is the best so far. Yet, in a low moment, I am ready to toss the relationship away without even hearing him out. I'm sharing this example as it is one I have heard similar versions of many times, from others and myself.

During these wild story sessions that we have with ourselves, and yes, I do mean wild, because if those stories were told out loud, we would all have a laugh. We often do not take into consideration what is going on in the other person’s life. Yet anything is possible. Maybe it is a new relationship and the other person has been out of a relationship for so long that it never occurred to them to call or email. Notice it’s not about you. Yet often in our mind, the story becomes all about us. Why is that? I know lots of people I haven't talked to in a while. That doesn't mean anything, other than we haven't talked in a while. No story, just busy. So why do we have an emotional attachment to certain individuals that causes us to create stories? These are great questions to ponder. How do those thoughts empower us?

Small talk puts our mind in a fog and often leads us down a dark road of stories. Often these stories leave us feeling like the victim. So the question I ask is “how does this thought empower you?” If the thought empowers you to take action that may be long overdue, then good, take the leap! However if the story leaves you stewing in your juices, I would encourage you to take action and do something positive for yourself. Set the story aside, go for a walk and enjoy the fresh air and nature. Let the sun kiss your skin. Then once your mind is a little clearer begin to think of all the positive, beautiful things that the other person is doing. Think of how you really know deep down, in your heart, that they do care and would never intentionally do anything to hurt you. How they have shown and expressed their love in countless ways. Just because they missed one special day, can you find acceptance in your heart to forgive and not hold a grudge?

do it for you. If you love flowers and wish your partner brought you them, then go treat yourself. If you long for companionship, take some time and hang out with friends. If you crave the touch of another, then it’s time to start giving more hugs to those around you. Hugs really do make a difference.

When we love and care for ourselves we also teach those around us how we wanted to be treated. So take a deep breath and begin to notice what would make you feel loved and supported in this moment, and do that for yourself!

With Valentine’s Day around the corner this could be a very timely reminder. "How does this thought empower you? “What does your heart really know to be true?"

2013 is a time to shift, so shift those thoughts, shift the stories and empower yourself with the love you desire.

Today I let go of the stories in my mind that don't serve me and find compassion to love others and myself.

Love is the way.

Yesterday I woke up feeling edgy and anxious.

Grrrrr…..I have to walk the dog!

Grrrr….bills need paying!

Grrrrr….I am definitely not feeling joyful!

I am absolutely positive that everyone has a day like that sometimes. What do you do about it?

Let me tell you what I do. First, I ask myself this; “Does this belong to me?”

Why would I ask myself that, I hear you asking!

Well, since you asked-I have come to remember that we are all energetic beings who are like radio towers that pick up and send out signals. Let me explain. An energetic being has a vibration that changes depending on what is going on in their life. Does that make sense to you?

So, there you are with your vibration, that radiates outward from you and it is felt by other people. Can you remember how you have felt around a happy person? You tend to start to feel happier.

Now why is it that you feel happier? Let me tell you!

We are aware beings that pick up the vibrations that swirl around us. Sometimes they stick and sometimes they float on through. The difference between the sticking and the floating through is our judgment around the emotions and the events.

Planet earth is the planet of choice, in more ways than one!

But I digress. I want you to know that you can choose how you want to feel. You can choose what you want to do in order to feel better.

Okay, back to the question. I ask myself; “Who does this belong to?” in order to determine if it actually is mine or maybe, just maybe, I am picking up on some overwhelmed person that lives a few houses down.

How do I know if it is mine? My truth always feels lighter and a lie makes me feel heavy. If I feel lighter then I can simply say return to sender, addressee u n k n o w n .

(Sometimes I sing it to the tune of the Elvis song) Yesterday morning it felt light, which means it wasn’t mine, but I still felt yucky, even though I returned it to sender! It was a little sticky.

My next step was to ask myself what would make me feel better.

Awwww….of course, a walk in my favorite park with the said dog that needed walking! I can do that! Once there body and my mind relaxed. I even felt more joyous.

“Life is a process. You think that you have to figure it all out in one shot dear ones, but what if the process was the means in which you came back to you. The you that we see. You are magnificent beings of light and love.

That is all that we see.

You were not meant to get it right all the time and you are not doing it wrong. Each moment and each day is a gift that you have given yourself. You are still on planet earth and that is your choice.

So given that you are still on planet earth by choice, what will you do with this life you have chosen?

You are meant to be joyous and to experience ease. The contrasts are merely reminders for you.

Those reminders are the opportunity for you to choose, this way or that way. This story or another story.

We have a wonderful line up of planets moving into more collective encounters. Combining such energies such as learning and speaking the truth or even gathering with your eccentric friends to do something wild … bring out your spiritual warrior and pay it forward. If you find yourself in a dingy out in the middle of the ocean saving a few whales – don’t be afraid to go full throttle – the experience would be nothing less than exhilarating! Of course that would be a fun extreme… it could be as simple as having some meal vouchers in your car just in case you find someone that needs a warm meal and a smile.

I realize we are a month into the year 2013, but during the month of January I kept seeing the same number over and over again.

It got me to wondering what my year number was . I did the calculations then delved into one of my favorite books on the subject. Once I had completed that research, I turned to my favorite website on the topic‌ www.creativenumerology.com to get a year review, monthly overcast and a weekly overview.

Do you know what your year number is? It is really easy to figure out. Take the month and date you were born on and add it to the year. I will use me as an example, March 16 , 2013. It would look like this:

3+1+6+2+0+1+3 I would end up with 16 which I would further reduce 1 + 6 to get the number 7.

Each year I normally look at what kind of a year I am going to be having as a guideline to what is in store. It is amazing how accurate it ends up being. Take some time and discover your year. Knowledge is the key to better understanding of who we are, what effects us, and how we can deal with it.

No matter how familiar things may seem, you are on an entirely different road now. The 1 year is the first year of a brand new nine-year cycle of your life. It urges you to create a more satisfying existence by recognizing the new potential that is developing. It is a time of change and new beginnings. Last year brought an entire nine-year era of your life to an end and was probably emotional and confusing.

However, those experiences were necessary so that this year's new beginnings can occur. The past is over, but you will need to release the feelings and beliefs that are still anchoring you to it.

So the dynamic duo for this month is mouse and frog. How did I come to these two power animals for this month you ask?

Quite literally they showed up simultaneously! Right now as I sit down to write, my voice literally sounds like a little mouse (squeak, squeak), or a little frog (ribbit, ribbit), or both at once. Dr. Phil (no, not the one on TV, the one who writes for Nourish) when he heard me said “Stop talking right now”, the real Dr. agreed! Since talking out loud is a problem right now what better way to communicate then through writing and channelling. I am sounding like our dynamic duo anyway, so what message do they have for us?

As for me not talking right now, it is a release.

There are so many new and wonderful things happening at the moment for me personally, a transformation. Releasing the old and starting the new. The not talking physically has me focusing inward on the waters of myself and the different ways to communicate with myself, others, the universe and Divine Source.

I think it is an important message that this dynamic duo is communicating to us all, the world and all that is. For it will lead us to our joys, passions and loves by following their lead and call. For me it’s been quite the humorous ride as I giggle at my voice whenever I do have to talk.

This month, as we continue our journey with the Fool down the major arcana road, we come to a magical card called Temperance.

Temperance is the card of balance. It lets us know that sometimes we need to be alchemists to find what is right for us. Appropriately, it is also a card about relationships. Relationships take great alchemy too to ensure they are healthy and balanced.

If the temperance card shows up in a reading for you, it asks you to look at where you might be out of balance in any area of your life. Even if things seem to be going well for you, take a moment and look deeper. Is something holding you back or standing in the way of your goals and aspirations?

The idea is to do what it takes to find balance, work through your issues, and integrate them into your life.

Balance really is the key with this card and we can see it rather well in the card from the Shadowscapes deck by Stephanie Pui-Mun Law. The lady is balanced perfectly on the limb of a branch, holding a ball that seems to have two dragons (almost in

Temperance is a marvelous card to show up in a reading as it asks us to really look at our life. You know the old saying “try, try again until you get it right” or something like that; well that is what life is about. If something is not working it needs to be tweaked until it fits you like a glove.

Why do people quit relationships so easily?

Human beings are a funny lot. They long for love and then panic once it arrives. Questioning in their mind is this the person I want to spend forever and ever with before they barely get past the hellos.

Then after that when they realize that the other person is amazing and then begin to panic again because they haven’t really organized their lives to fit in a serious relationship. Oh wait there is more.

Next what follows is the self doubt of what could I possible bring to the table to match this amazing person who sits across from me while not realizing that the other person also see the best in them and

of communication, connection or trust.

Now before you jump to your defenses please note that either party could be feeling challenged.

Breaking it down lets start with communication. Often those tough conversations where each person really needs to first be honest with them self and then the other person rarely happen and take a great deal of courage to begin. In a world where we all learnt at a young age that you just don’t say certain things to others we all learnt

to stuff what is really going on. One partner can’t expect the other to be a mind reader. Everyone has needs and in order to meet those needs one must communicate openly and feel safe to express them.

The tough part about communication is that often one person does most of the talking and the other nods and agrees until they have gathered their evidence as how the relationship is or isn’t going to work. While the listener never truly opens up to the other person and shares their feelings. On the part of the talker they need to be mindful to pause and ask some great questions so they have a chance to listen and learn more about the other individual across from them.

If I was to go out on a limb here I would say you were the talker and while you felt you gave opportunity for them to speak they themselves were challenged to open up.

Next up is connection. While at times connection can start off as fireworks it only needs to be a spark. A little something that draws you closer to the other person and leaves you wanting to know more. To sustain connection long-term connection needs to happen on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. Generally taking a few dates to see whether the relationship is worth investing energy into. Most hold their cards close to their chest as nobody wants to make a wrong turn or appear stupid right off the hop. That or they drop their cards and run. People who are runners are hard to catch (No pun intended)

Lastly is trust and definitely not to be taken lightly. Trust is something we gift to another and hope we will be taken care of in the process. In a relationship you first off need to trust yourself. Know that if something isn’t working to allow yourself to take a step back and honestly look at what is going on. Often people want to put all their trust in the other person so in the end when things crumble they only have one person to blame. You! Count this last round in the world of dating as a practice run to hone your skills for the next partner that will enter your life. They are just around the corner waiting for you once your ready to put yourself back in the game. May you enjoy the process and count your blessings for the gifts of insight that came from your last round.

*Peter = italic parts What is in a dimension? What is a dimension? If you are like me you have heard about dimensions for a long time now, and you have probably also heard “we” are ascending to these dimensions. Yet even hearing about them, I did not take the time to actually delve into the whole thing. I figured, hey, if I was working on my shit, then I was ascending right along with everyone else, and did I really need to know which dimension I was in? Did it really matter as long as I was living in the now and doing the best that I could do in each moment?

Yet one phone call with Peter and I wanted to discover more about the dimension we are currently working through.

I felt that everyone should know this information, and understand why it is so important for each of us to “do our work”. 2013 is the beginning of “the end of the world as we know it” and I want everyone to feel “fine” with their part of the process. The more information we all share with each other, and the more tools we are given, the easier this process will be.

Ascension on an individual level is the process of changing one’s consciousness from one reality, based on one set of beliefs, to another. Ah- ha!! It has been said many times over by many people that 2013 is about transforming, shifting and letting go that which no longer serves us, which includes our belief systems.

Ascension on a planetary or group level is the collective expansion of a state of consciousness (set of beliefs) to the point where that consciousness creates a new reality – a new state of being or dimension. Probably the best way to explain this is The Hundredth Monkey Syndrome (click to read if you are not already familiar with the syndrome).

So how exactly do we ascend from one dimension to the next? What is the process that we need to go through?

What dimension are we currently in?

Dimensions have to do with consciousness. The dimension here was brought down to experiment with duality and free choice. When the dimension is higher, the problem is, since we know who we are; we won’t really play the games we usually do here in duality. So the dimension was brought down to the third so that we could forget who we are and pretend that we are only a physical body. The trick is to start understanding that we may be more than our body, and who knows, be an eternal being doing the human experience from time to time.

For quite a while we were in what some call 3d, the third dimension. About 2 years ago we started moving into the fourth dimension. We are now maybe at 4.0 or 4.1 into this dimension.

Peter, along with his wife, Diane, has been facilitating conferences on the subject of the 4th dimension. Each of them provide classes and workshops on other subjects individually but come together for these conferences.

We enjoy hosting the conferences together. Diane brings her inspired wisdom and I bring factual wisdom. Lots of men prefer facts rather than inspiration when we come to subjects like this. Together we put on a conference so that everyone understands the subject and message, and are able to apply it to their life.

I know many out there are speaking of us being in the 5th dimension; however I feel that we are creating the 5th dimension right now by being in and shifting through the 4th dimension. Do you agree with this? What is your take on all of the dimensions?

There are many talks about the dimensions and all. For now I would focus more on those that are closer to us. I was taken once by my spirit guide in a voyage to get closer to the Source. I was flying through levels faster and faster so I asked him what those are. He said “they are dimensions.” I asked “how many are there?” He replied “how many stars are there in the sky?”

There are so many dimensions and universes out there; that I think it is best to focus on where we are.

Many talk about the fifth dimension but not about the fourth. For them the fourth is a kind of fifth in miniature.

Yet we need to understand the 4th, do the work required so we may move into the 5th dimension. So here goes, we all have a shadow here on this planet. It’s the perfect place to put stuff we don’t want others to see or even what we don’t want to see either. Many people think it’s the bad part of themselves and if they ignore it long enough it will go away. However what you put in the shadow usually comes back later.

In 3d this was possible, however the problem with this in 4d is that time is being compressed. We are losing contact with the past and the future. Our present is getting larger and larger so as you put things in your shadow it comes back in your face faster than before.

Edgar Cayce used to say, in the 1930’s, that thoughts become things, but things were slower then, it would take a long time to fulfill a thought into our realty. As time is being compressed our buffer is getting smaller.

What you think happens faster. We can try to control our thinking but it’s difficult to do because where we have the most work to do is in our beliefs. We usually accept technologic developments but when it comes to beliefs it’s more difficult. Most people just want to be right in their lives. When the fact “the world is flat” was challenged, many were willing to kill for this. Later when it became a fact, suddenly it was accepted and nobody needed to kill or be killed for this.

So why are we moving in the fourth dimension now?

Let’s pretend we are a bunch of souls having in incredible experience here on this planet. Let’s pretend that we are eternal and that we go from one incarnation to another.

Let’s say we’ve been in duality for 20 or 50 thousand years… maybe more! Over time we would move higher in consciousness, slowly but surely. We have fast communications now with internet, and satellites. The telegraph was replaced by the telephone which eventually made way for the cell phone. What is the next step? Telepathy of course! As humans we have focused on our outer (technological) self and now we are coming to the inner self. We really wanted to experience the separation, to forget who we are, and now most of us have been going back to our true nature, unity, and our soul.

Let’s get back to the fourth dimension. We have to clear old thought patterns to expand our consciousness.

Some would say “let’s just expand our consciousness!!!

That would be grand, but it doesn’t work that way.

Let’s look at what happens when we die or cross over.

First we have to accept a new reality, whatever we think happens instantly. What takes the most time is realizing that we were just playing roles when we were here on earth in a body. It’s a lot of work to understand and “get it”. Some refuse that reality completely, and wander as ghosts for a while. Eventually, a wakeup call happens, and finally “the ghost” gets to enjoy what we would call a vacation with no limits. There is a lot of clearing of thought patterns gained from being in our physical body.

Think of it as an upgrade, much like you upgrade your computer when it slows down, you upgrade to the current version and you are back in the game.

What has changed is that now we are starting as a collective to do this before dying, which is new for us. That is what the fourth dimension is about.

The fourth dimension is very seldom spoken about and yet it is an important process in shifting to the higher dimensions. I think that collectively spiritual people in the know understand this and that is why we are hearing so much about clearing the past, facing our shadows, and releasing old thought patterns and belief systems. It is the next step in our evolution to becoming a better world.

The time to do this work is now. With time speeding up we have the opportunity to shift just as quickly as “our shadows” are coming to greet us.

Peter and I will leave it here for now, next month we will continue our discussion on how as “humans” we can face our shadows; discern what they are and how to shift our thoughts and beliefs to overcome them.

It calms, cleanses, and re-energizes all of the Chakras. When your chakras are balanced, clean and energized you increase the flow of energy in your body which enables you to achieve great things. I find the best way to use crystals on chakras is to hold the crystal in my hand and visualizing the energy expanding from the crystal and gently swirling into the chakras. Through this method I am able to cleanse and infuse the properties of the crystal to all the chakras and not just focus on one specifically.

If you wish to just work with one chakra, place the crystal on that chakra. Usually a crystal is specific to one or two chakras but with Chrysocolla benefiting all of them it is a perfect crystal to pull out once a week for a chakra clearing.

Chrysocolla increases the capacity to love which is one of the reasons I choose this crystal to showcase this month. February, perhaps due to Valentine’s Day, brings to the front thoughts of love. There are many who are seeking love in the world, either through renewed feelings of love with their current mate or for a mate, period, as they are alone. Love does make the world go around, not just in the partner experience, but the more we love, the more joy we have. Typically people choose Rose Quartz, Rhodonite, and Rhodochrosite, as the crystals of

choice when it comes to love. Chrysocolla is not often thought of in terms of love but it fits perfectly for what is going on right now in the world and what we are being asked to do individually, for our part in the shifting of consciousness.

Chrysocolla is associated with peace, tranquility, intuition, patience, and unconditional love. While it is thought to be a stone for feminine empowerment, men should also use this crystal as it helps to clear the subconscious of negative feelings, fears, tension, and builds up inner strength. It aids in releasing past resentments and forgiving people when you have resisted doing so. It is an exceptional crystal to use when feelings of anger, guilt and blame are present. Chrysocolla is known to promote level headedness, encouraging clarity of thought and a neutral, calm attitude during turbulence. It can also be used to decrease nervousness and irritability.

Chrysocolla is a beautiful crystal; its energy is a very calm and would be beneficial to have in your collection as we stroll through 2013. What could it hurt to give it a go? We all could use some peace, clarity and unconditional love as we wade through the waters of life.

Hello dear ones, Our message for you this month is to “detach from the drama�. Drama, as in a movie, can be a wonderful thing when it takes you away from your every day for a couple of hours. Yet each day you encounter many dramas. Drama is a story. Right now there are many stories that you come into contact with through friends, family, the news, and even yourself.

The drama keeps you from moving forward by that little emotion called fear. It draws you in and either has you trying to fix everyone and everything or it puts you in freeze mode. We ask you to detach this month; some of you will call this a challenge. Detaching simply means to step back from the situation and look at it objectively, get a bigger picture of what is going on.

No matter what the situation, you have the power to change it. Oh, we are not talking about world events or nature disasters that you have no control over; those are not your dra-

mas. Even the drama happening in your family or friends life is not yours to control, it is theirs, but you have a role to not enable the drama to grow bigger or carry on longer than necessary. If the drama is yours, you created it and have the power to change it just by taking ownership, and grasping the lesson so as to not get in the situation again. No matter what has happened you are only the victim if you allow that to happen. You can rise above anything and walk away the victor.

By asking you to detach from the drama this month we are asking you to reclaim your selfrespect. You are a divine being that deserves to be respected, loved, happy, healthy, abundant, and supported. All of that can be yours when you have self-respect as this is the foundation for self-esteem. Turn off the drama, change the story, and give yourself the gift of love.
