Musings from the Editor January in the year of 2015! Another fresh slate is presented to us with many possibilities awaiting us to explore. What adventures will we have this year? What surprises, challenges and joys await us? That is the most wondrous thing about a new year, it truly is like a box of chocolates, you never know what is about to come into your life. Oh, we can plan and strategize till the cows come home, but often the best laid plans are blown away on a universal wind and we find ourselves in a different space at the end of the year. No matter where you are in your life I have been given the sense that this year is all about aha moments. Think of the popular song – “knowing me, knowing you… aaahh haaa” It will be a year of connecting and disconnecting as you sift through what really matters to you. This year will be about redressing your balance point, determining what matters most and letting the rest slip away. Hence it might feel like an internal war is being waged – “knowing me, knowing you” as your duality comes to the front and your truth will need to prevail as opposed to others truth that has been ingrained upon you. It will be a gentler year if you allow it to be. The energy is here to support you in all your endeavors, listen to your gut instincts, trust your intuition, and realize peace of mind comes from being at peace with your decisions. If it feels wrong, chances are it is. Choose to live not by reaction, but by authentic action. No knight on a white horse is going to come along and rescue you, this is a year of “if you want it, go after it.” Do not expect others to have the same dreams as you, so if you dream it, make it happen. The potential for greatness is available if you are willing to do the work. Use this silent, quieter month to dream a little dream, and set your intentions for the coming year. Each of you are wondrous beings of creativity, and I see each of you healthy, abundant and joyful during the coming year!

Brightest blessings as we ring in the New and release the Old! Namaste Marlene

Work-life balance means to have a proper balance between work and lifestyle and ideally, that means we have enough time and energy for obligations and pleasures, and are able to live life in a gratifying way and to live it well. During the last months of 2014 I started delving into my work-life balance, striving to achieve a balance between my work and my life. Often it felt more like a juggling act than an actual balancing act. It seemed like the more I worked towards fitting in obligations and pleasure, the more chaotic life became, so I decided to throw out the concept of having a work-life balance.

favored energy. However, each person’s definition of how much money they require is different. Having too much money can cause just as much stress as not having enough. Your finances predicate how you support other areas in your life. The third area is physical health and wellness. This area could be seen as the center of the wheel – with the other four spiking out in different directions. If we do not maintain our health, what do we have? By taking care of our physical, emotional, and mental bodies we function optimally in the other 4 key areas. This means ensuring we take time for proper rest, relaxation, and exercise. It also means being able to nourish our bodies with healthy food, stimulate our minds with new interests and ideals, and being able to spend time with family and friends. All interweave with our finances, our jobs, our relationships and our spirit. It is important to understand that if we become unbalanced in the other areas our health and wellness will fall apart.

Most of the time we are in survival mode, and we go through the same motions over and over. I feel, in hindsight, that we fall into survival mode because we do not have the tools, or understand what life-work balance truly looks like. Even if we are aware something is out of balance it is often hard to put our finger on it and shift it. Our life is all that we do, period. We have five key areas that interweave, and each brings obligations and pleasures. It was unrealistic to lump those five into two definitive areas. That is when it became clear to me, that I needed to toss out the concept of having worklife balance. I only needed personal balance. Personal balance being what I am comfortable with, what fits for me. It means that I need to know myself, and be able to identify my priorities at any given moment. Life is constantly changing, and each day my balance would look different. It was about discovering my own formula for success, and you will discover your own formula.

Relationships are not only with others but with ourselves. It is about our relationship with all the other life areas as well. How we interact with other people, ourselves, our job/career, our finances, our health and well-being, our spirituality, set the overall tone for balance. First and foremost though, is our relationship with ourselves. If we are supportive of ourselves and comfortable in our own skin, we are better able to have healthy relationships with others and also the other four life areas. This is really where know thyself comes into play. Spirituality will look different for each person. Some might say they are not spiritual, yet spirituality is basically about knowing oneself. Each of us should include some quiet time to reflect and ensure we are centered each day. This time will enable us to keep the tower of life balanced, this quiet time can help us to see what areas are lopsided and where we need extra support.

The five key areas are as follows; 1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

Job/Career Financial Physical Health/Wellness Relationships Spirituality

When we achieve balance – or a semblance of balance - in each of these five areas life flows effortlessly and efficiently. If one area is out of balance, it is our role to work on getting it back into balance. How do we achieve this balance in all areas? Like I said at the beginning, we each need to find our own formula. To build a foundation and help you discover your balance formula ponder the following;

Can you see how finding a work life balance is really not ideal? Think about it for a moment, given the 5 areas I have just listed, can you determine which fall under work, and which fall under life? It is about finding our personal balance point between all areas of our life. If we think of a certain popular game where you push or pull one brick out and place it on top of the others carefully so as not to tip the tower over, that is more like life. We constantly flow with what is happening, rearranging and configuring our tower to serve us best.

1) What lifestyle do you want? What fits for you? Do you want a simple lifestyle or an extravagant lifestyle? Or do you want to just carry on in survival mode doing the same motions over and over and not really changing anything?

Your job/career is whatever you do that is your work, typically it is what sustains you. You could have a 9 – 5 job, be self-employed, or a stay at home parent. This area fills up a large portion of your life, depending on what you do, you should love your career or job. Do you feel that you are valued as well as providing value? Your job/career also comes with a pay cheque that supports your finances, which in turn supports your lifestyle. Everything requires an energy exchange, and for the most part, money seems to be the

2) Know thyself. Without knowing yourself, you can’t truly understand your optimal balance or identify your priorities. Be honest with yourself. You are the one living your life, not the others who are in your life. It takes understanding yourself to be able to balance your life.

9

www.nourishpublication.com

3) Be flexible! No matter how much planning and preparation you put into your life you have to be ready for the unexpected. Life will not always flow as you think it should. You will need to be ready for the curveballs that come your way. The ability to think on your feet is a gift, and often you will not have time to think about these curveballs, you just need to swing at them and hope for a home run! 4) Patience. Rome was not built in a day. I think here of a trilogy, we are hooked by the first book which is so freaking amazing we can’t wait for book two to hit the shelves. Along comes book two, we rush to purchase it, only to find it lagging and having us wonder why we waited with baited breathe for it to arrive. The third and final book hits the shelves and we let it sit there for a time before purchasing – but once we do –find the second book was building the history and paving the way for another freaking amazing book that leaves us wishing there were more in the series. 5) Surround yourself with a good support system. People you trust to have your back when you need it and who can slip in a “brick” to support the tower when it appears it is about to tumble. While balance is specific and personal to each of us, those who are around us play a big part in our achieving it. My delving into my life balance brought me to the knowledge that I was living a gratifying life! I was able to balance obligations with pleasure to suit my needs and I did it well. Others might have disagreed, but for me it worked. I love life and all the blessings and challenges that come my way. Mostly what I learned from all this delving was that even if the tower crumbled I was left with a solid foundation. The cleanup might be ugly, but I am capable of rebuilding the tower, stronger each time using the lessons I have learned from previous towers. Besides, if I am having an unbalanced day there is balance in that as well, for it is showing me what area needs some attention. Each day is a new opportunity to practice achieving balance and at the end of the day if I did the best I could, given the curveballs tossed my way, I could still hit a home run! If we do our best and don’t lose sight of the bigger picture, we can all have balance and therefore peace in our lives. Determine what mix of work, family, play and giving back optimizes your talents and happiness, and set your own formula for success. You will be a winner each and every time, and in the end you will have achieved the right balance, fit for you.

January 2015 Another year has unfolded before me and another year awaits me. The past year has had its’ challenges. They haven’t been horrible. In many ways I have been blessed and I recognize that, however, in the midst of the blessings there have been moments that are not so enjoyable, for me.

Yes, we are not separate from you. We never have been and we never will be. The oneness includes us and many others that you may be familiar with. You are not the students-you are the embodiment of light that has travelled through many lifetimes and galaxies to become the diamond that shines so bright that you need say nothing or do anything in order to help create the shift that is occurring.

Those moments are a result of my feeling like there ought to be more. I need to be more. I ask myself if my life is enough? Does what I do make a difference?

You are like the ocean waves that soothe, the sunshine that warms, the breeze that cools on a hot summer day, the songbirds who lift up hearts and we could go on and on, dear sweet beings. You are everything!

It is like the words from a song I recall-“is anybody out there? Is anybody listening?” I have felt like a leaf in the breeze blowing aimlessly along until I don’t.

You have your internal GPS that is tuned to the galaxies and because you do you are everything that you need be. Anything you feel the need to do will be because you feel called to be the catalyst, the contrast and the soother that draws others forward into new possibilities. Your heart will let you know when the moment arrives that requires you to do something but know that your being is always enough. It is just that sometimes a little action is called for.

I have had days of such clarity that I wonder why I wondered. I have had moments of such knowing that no matter what was unfolding around me, I felt secure in my knowing. And then it passes and I wonder if it is all just an illusion and I am a fool in a story of my own making. I know that I am not alone. I have heard similar stories from friends who have dived into a new way of being, who like me are the misfits in our family and friends’ lives. I heard Matt Khan describe it as The Bad News Bears of Consciousness. I had to laugh!

So, let us make this perfectly clear to you. You are magnificent beings of light and love-period. Your physical being is constantly offering vibrations that tease others into new possibilities, regardless of whether you take action or not. Sometimes your heart calls you into action of some kind and when it does-pay attention.

We muddle along sometimes, pretending that we know what we are doing and we also muddle along, understanding that we do know at a very deep level that we are everything that is necessary for our life.

You dear ones are the change that is occurring and it has been a very long journey for some of you. You have become disheartened along the way. You have been tired. You have wondered if you are crazy.

If any of this resonates with you then you are part of my “family”. If it doesn’t you may know someone like me.

You are not.

Truly we are doing our very best. We may seem slightly off center sometimes-that is mostly when we are in our absolute knowing of what this thing called life is, for us.

And dear ones, along with not being crazy, you are perfectly okay just as you are and we promise you that as this year unfolds that if you stop holding yourself to such high standards and stop judging yourself so harshly for all your perceived imperfections, that you will find more ease and joy coming your way.

We can also do the dance of seemingly forgetfulness but we don’t forget we are just so very tired of trying to fit in and be understood and accepted for all of our quirks and quarks. Sometimes we just decide to not give a shit about anything and just roll with the flow. Sometimes we get very angry or we get very sad. It always passes.

The stops and starts will be further apart until you are in the flow and everything that you need will show up for you in perfect time for when you need it.

There is no understanding us until one day you get a glimpse of our knowing. We know things. We know that the world is going to be just fine. We know that the contrasts are there to tease us and/or shove us into new ways of being and doing.

You have stuff to do and joy to spread and all the other things will begin to fall away day by day until you find yourself standing in a place of so much joy that your beacon will be shining so bright that all will be teased forward, one by one-you are the pied piper of the universes and you are bring everyone home.

Oh, those darn contrasts that have so many outraged. Why or why is this happening?

Yes you-little old you.

Why of why and our only answer is because it is all about the contrasts that shove us into new possibilities. Mostly people don’t want to know that.

Go For The Joy Linda and The Group

We know that there are new ones that have been incubating and new ones coming in that have answers and who carry within them the precious “gold” that you seek. Are you willing to listen? But I would bet most of you know that already and I want you to know that you dear ones, are the ones who have been anchoring energy for those around you. You will be the ones who support the new ones. You will be the ones who help them to ground onto planet earth and integrate all their knowing in a way that will benefit them and all of us.

Things are not always what they seem. I remember in the

What I have a real problem with is a professional, with millions of listeners, advocating the creation of a bold lie to make it look like everything is above board. That is the old way. What a profound opportunity for an evolutionary leap in consciousness.

early nineties feeling strongly that the most important attribute we needed to develop as we moved into the next millennium was the power of discernment. Sometimes it can be difficult to discern if a teacher, healer, or leader truly operates from integrity. Do they practice what they preach? Is there a consistency in their teachings or their principles?

This was a Christian family, with strong Christian values. What if they sat down and told their children that Mom and Dad had both made some big mistakes, and hurt each other in the process? They could explain the pregnancy was a consequence of both parents straying from what they know is true and right. The importance of taking responsibility for one’s actions could be emphasized, along with the importance of a human life. They could explain they learned deeply from their mistakes, but now would work together to raise this child in love. The children would likely respect their parents for their honesty, and for taking responsibility for what their actions created. They would admire their father, for accepting this child as his own. They would see that a child is a gift from God, however it arrives. The new addition to the family would not have to live life as his or her parent’s lie.

As we evolve to expanded levels of awareness, our powers of discernment will be tested. As we move into deeper levels of integrity, places where we might be out of alignment with that integrity become glaringly obvious. Our own discomfort around the dissonance between what we believe, and what we are, is one of the most powerful motivators for change. It is only our own self-honesty that will get us to that place. I recently experienced a shocking example of incongruity. While driving to an appointment, flipping radio stations, I came upon the infamous radio psychologist. She purports to advocate all that is good, right and true. The lines she draws between what is acceptable and not acceptable are very sharp and clear, often judgmental and dishonoring of certain segments of the population. “Do the right thing is her motto.” I have often thought she must have the word ‘right’ capitalized.

Discernment requires that we see into the heart of things, honoring the highest truth we can perceive. Sometimes it is incredibly difficult to take such a high road. But those challenging situations are precisely the ones which allow us to take leaps in consciousness, which ultimately contribute to moving the entire species forward.

On this particular day, a couple phoned in. They had produced five children, aged one to fourteen years, after which the husband had a vasectomy. He had a brief extramarital affair in the past year. Recently, the wife also had a brief affair, which resulted in a pregnancy. They asked the media psychologist what to do.

The radio doctor had an amazing opportunity, to influence the consciousness of millions, guiding them to align with truth, and showing the way to authentic, reverent living. Instead, she advocated lying, dishonesty, shame, manipulation, and deception, which, among other things, would leave these people with a lifetime of guilt, to say nothing of the devastation when the child one day learned the truth. This is out of integrity, and irresponsible, especially given the number of listeners tuned in. The radio doctor missed a golden opportunity to model alignment with truth. How much better it would have been if she had made the choice practice what she teaches. I would challenge her to re-think her advice, and to ‘do the right thing.”

Terminating the pregnancy was out of the question for all concerned, and the couple had considered giving the child up for adoption. What was the good doctor’s advice? First, she expressed regret the biological father had been told of the pregnancy. Secondly, she suggested the couple tell everyone that prior to the husband’s vasectomy, some of his sperm had been preserved, and as they had been struggling in the marriage, thought another child might help the situation. So she had artificial insemination with her husband’s sperm. The child would be raised as their own biological child. You can likely already see several obvious problems with this scenario. Is it fair to lie to a child about his paternity to preserve your image? Is it appropriate to fabricate a huge lie to cover your error in judgment? If a couple was faced with this dilemma, I truly would not judge them, regardless of the decision they made. I would guess they were doing the best they could in their situation.

Change is letting go, surrendering, trusting, and allowing for the free fall into the empty space of the Void. This free fall creates an open space for the experience of long repressed emotions and unconscious beliefs to be revealed and transformed. When we encounter change, the most uncomfortable aspect is our experience within the Void. This is, however, the most influential and beneficial part of the process. Existing within the void connects us to our inner wisdom. We experience our own Truths along with the relevant Universal Truths. The void brings us our revelations. This is why it’s such a potent and powerful part of the transformational process. Within the Void, we find ourselves questioning everything we think we know; about ourselves and about life. It’s where we examine the validity and usefulness of our beliefs and where they have gotten us thus far. Without the wisdom that the void brings we would be unable to step confidently into our next phase. Though we may not be able to find our footing and we grasp desperately for something (anything) familiar or stable, we always emerge feeling stronger and wiser with a new perspective on who we are, what we’re made of and how we can powerfully move forward – continuing our journey towards realization of the Self and of our dreams. Though dark and empty as the void may be, we must travel through it – these thrashing waves of transformation – to emerge renewed and reinvigorated, ready to take on our next challenge, and move more fully onto our true path of purpose and Divine Self expression.

using only 5 senses and activating our logical, rational left brain that only understands structure and form. Change for a predominantly left brain society is incredibly scary and overwhelming because we have little trust or understanding in the greater organization of the natural world and Universal order. So then what do we do? We deny, repress, and ignore our more subtle senses to limit our level of awareness so that we create ‘no-choice’ situations. That way we can remain uncomfortably comfortable. We always have choice. Even if that is to remain in denial. Thankfully (for the purposes of our evolution), the path of denial is unsustainable. Eventually, the truth is revealed and our personal limitations come to light. This can happen gently or not so gently, depending on how hard we hang on to our outdated thoughts, emotions, beliefs and current life circumstances. In the end, looking back, the Void is our greatest teacher. It’s where new life is birthed. It’s as necessary to life as the inhale of breath. We all experience the Void at some point. And if we choose a life that is committed and dedicated to Self improvement and Realization, we will experience it more than others. During this time it’s important to have a great friend, to be gentle with your Self, to TRUST and to ALLOW. It’s not easy. But, it’s the only way forward and let’s face it…it’s inevitable.

In Love, Emily

When we avoid the Void… We find ourselves in denial because to become aware of new things means that new choices will inevitably arise. And we know that new choices lead to change. And, as discussed above, we experience change as a very difficult process. It’s highly uncomfortable and challenging to endure. Most of us are accustomed to 21

YOGA SPIRIT & WELLNESS Basking in the stillness of a sun soaked yin class, it occurred to me that somewhere in the world there were people shopping. Having spent over three years working in retail, the juxtaposition overwhelmed me. Then it occurred to me, as I sat at the front of the class that this year I would celebrate the year in the still moments. Still moments away from the over consumption, noise pollution, and rush of life. Trust me, I love to eat and party more than the average person, but for some reason this year feels different. Maybe it is the time away from retail hell that has softened me. I'm just so grateful for the gift of quite. Which quite frankly seems ridiculous considering what the months of December and January have become, at least here in North America. To be perfectly honest I am exhausted, I don't know if I could go to another party if I wanted to. I can't wait for the beginning of every yoga class when my students sit down and we can just be quiet together. Nothing big or fancy no yoga breathe for enlightenment, just the stillness that comes before and after an OM. There is a lot of wisdom and beauty that can be found in stillness. As humans we like to complicate things, I think that life is actually really quite simple. We

are so smart with our thinky-think brains, maybe we just have to stop take a moment in stillness to see what is really there. No so long ago I went for a hike with a good friend of mine up Seymour Mountain. We found this perfect spot, on a little dock overlooking a tiny mountain lake. We sat down amongst the fog and didn't talk, for a good 30 minutes. It was glorious. I could feel my shoulders begin to relax, I even felt that place in the center of my chest begin to soften. This year my gift to myself are these moments, the still moments that juxtapose the chaos of my busy life. That gift might come as a slow yoga class, listening to the crunch of the snow underneath my shoes, sipping warm tea, or closing my eyes and taking a single deep breath. The small moments, the small things that don't cost anything. Those moments are going to be my gift to myself this year. Claudia Nobauer Connect with Claudia www.myyogaspirit.ca

This year I am going to...

January the beginning of a new year and a time to reflect on the year we have just passed through, to ask yourself 'How did I do'. Did you meet or even exceed your goals that you had set for yourself?

At this point I will accept the goal and put it on my very short list of goals that I wish to achieve in that year. For me, I have 3 goals that I concentrate on and I do not add any more until one is achieved. I break up my major goals into small, doable stages and use my day planner to keep me on track and focused. At the beginning of a new year I will write my goals and the stages for the first 3 months in my day planner, then I reassess how I am doing and any road blocks that may have popped up and sometimes have a 'talk' to myself before I recommit to my original goal and then I write down my steps for the next 3 months, and so on it goes.

Or are you, like many of us and most of our goals vanished as the months flowed together. About three years ago I had a mini epiphany, I was setting myself up to fail with all of the lofty goals I was setting myself. I realized that I was repeating the same goals year after year, not with the thought that I would achieve them, but because I felt that I should have them on my list and that I should obtain these goals so that I could be 'better' or 'smarter' or 'prettier'. But deep within my heart I already knew that I had failed at these goals in the past and I would fail at them now.

I have found to keep me on track, I also need to incorporate encouragement and rewards when I succeed. Also and equally important is for me to recognize when I start to sabotage my efforts to change and have in place a solution.

I made myself a promise – NOT TO LIE TO MYSELF. That was a big change in how I proceeded in approaching any goal I put before me.

We are a fabulous and creative and complex race – us humans – and we have an endless capacity to bring about change, if we wish to. So in my opinion, why not set ourselves up for success by choosing goals for ourselves that we know we can achieve and build on that success with every other goal.

When I do the yearly goals I want to obtain I first ask myself; Why – why do I want to obtain this goal? Then I ask; Who – who is this goal for me or someone else? If the goal is still in the mix I then ask; Is it real or is it a fantasy?

Make it simple. Make it clear. Make it about YOU. Have a fabulous January building on YOUR success.

Namaste Debra Rae

Fearlessness does not mean that fear doesn’t exist, it means that courage is present instead. We see successful people out there living the life of their dreams and we think they have no fear but in reality they do. They’re just experts at not showing it externally. Think of a public speaker who talks to the large groups of people on a regular basis and they’re on stage while everyone in the audience is looking at them and listening to everything they say. These public speakers still experience their fear right before they start, but once they start speaking all that melts away. Successful people are just as afraid as everyone else, however, the difference is that they don’t let their fear paralyze them. They feel the fear and do it anyways because they embrace the challenge.

part of his role. I told him to take a couple of deep breaths to compose himself and try again. Admitting it to others is a big relief. Another option for Mitchel was to create a 1 page character bio of someone and give him an identity…. an alter ego. Is his character confident, feeling powerful, etc.? What are his accomplishments, where did he grow up? Make up a powerful and catchy name for his character. Then, any time he’s feeling fear and thinking he’s going to mess up, know that it’s his alter ego that is going to show up and take charge of the meeting.

Desensitize Yourself Gradually desensitize yourself of the fear. Often times, we’re afraid of things because we haven’t really been exposed to it. We don’t know what’s going to happen so we make up this story about what the experience is going to be. We allow this story to paralyze us from taking charge. The way through this is to acknowledge that you don’t know and be okay with not knowing. Very slowly, start to do the things that scare you as it’s the best way to overcome them. Ask yourself “what is the worst thing that can happen?” Usually the answer is not that bad. We make things so big in our minds, we turn them into these huge mountains of fear, but when we face them we realize it’s no big deal. Afraid of heights? Try walking across a bridge with a friend. Afraid of swimming? Go swimming with a professional swimmer or a lifeguard. It takes only seconds of insane courage to change your mind.

What can you do the next time you’re afraid to do something?

Analyze Your Fear Break your fear down into its component parts through deep inner exploration. We do this by acknowledging our feelings and experience of fear. If we deny or ignore our fear by pushing it down, and trying to band aid it, it actually grows and gets bigger. Try locating where the fear is located in your body. Is it your stomach, or chest? Take a deep breath and tapping you’re your fingers gently over that area until the energy starts to shift. Be okay that the fear is there. Ask yourself whether it’s fear of failure or success. Is it fear of rejection or looking conceded? Once you have the answer, write it down in your journal or meditate on it.

Change Your Thinking Fear is a source of fascination as the same things we fear also entice us. We get feelings of exhilaration and even passion. Give fear a place in your life as there is no way to completely eliminate fear. It’s a valid emotion just like joy or sadness, but fear builds character and teaches us how to act with courage. It’s a natural response. Don’t push yourself too hard, but feel the fear and do it anyway. You can do whatever you choose to do.

Look at the Outcome and Visualize Look at the outcome, imagine it in your mind’s eye, and figure out how you can embrace it. Don’t dive in head first and do something that’s going paralyze you, but very gently and slowly push yourself through things that make your heart hammer in your chest. Do them safely and you will see it translate into the rest of your life as your confidence increases in other areas.

Happy New Year and push through your fears! Embrace them and push through anyways!

Mitchel was a supervisor of 32 unionized staff. He would do fine when speaking to his staff at group meetings, but when it was time for him to have a one-to-one meeting with one of his direct reports to deal with performance issues, he froze up, and stumbled over his words even though he had practiced it before the meeting. Mitchel could feel anxiety in his chest. The name of his fear was “fear of not doing it right”.

As a Life Coach, I suggested to him to try to a few options. First of all, he could acknowledge to the staff person that he is nervous and not feeling comfortable with discussing this issue but that it’s a

What I’d like to focus on today is being single in our current society. There are so many people who are not partnered in a culture that focuses dominantly and dogmatically on couples. In fact there is a growing ghetto of un-partnered people out there living on the edge of the married society, trying to find a place in which to fit their singlehood, and creating as they go along. As the population ages, wars, divorces (some of them are wars in themselves,) death and the experiences of life itself bring situations that cause us to experience singlehood. Hmm, I think we need to find a new word for being single. One that is positive and empowered with adventure. Any suggestions?

happens automatically once I get into my heart and focus on the love I feel for my partner. Receiving contact from our partner Sometimes I have an instant response from my partner, Other times it could take a few hours or a day or even more time, but suddenly my heart will feel a warm swoosh of energy followed by bursts of energy coming into my heart causing me to inhale and fill up my lungs. And it is accompanied by an unbelievable sense of being loved, of knowing that I am loved and with someone who would move the world for me, just like Superman did for Lois Lane. The intensity and clarity of that love brings tears to my eyes every time.

Let’s turn things upside down and look at being single from a whole different perspective. In this perspective we are never EVER single, nor are we alone. We may be living as a single person in our home, and functioning as a non-couple in society, but we aren’t alone. Why do I say that? Because I have experienced personally that each one of us has a partner. In fact our partner is literally a piece of us. The movie The Butcher’s Wife called that partner her ‘split apart.’ That is perhaps the best way to understand it. Somewhere along the way we split ourselves into two beings, one male and one female but having the same characteristics, ways of thinking and even looking alike.

It is important to make sure when we are sending out or receiving that we are in a space of love and balance, and that we have a bubble of love and safety around us. It is important to discriminate. If for any reason something doesn’t feel right, or we feel uncomfortable, we can simply close an imaginary door between us and them, and wait until the energies lighten up and things feel better and then reach out. Our partner always comes to us with the highest vibration of love, so if we anything else, we should close that door gently and know to try again later. If we feel we want extra support and protection, I recommend calling on Archangel Michael. He’s there instantly and it’s easy to tell by the warm flash he sends us just to let us know he’s with us. (Yes, ladies, it feels like a hot flash!)

In my book, Decoding the Butterfly Promise, I call them our completion partner. Others call them our soul twin. For the moment let’s start with the premise that we each have the other piece of ourselves out there somewhere. Now, let’s add that they may or they may not be living in this time on this earth. They may be living in another dimension, on another planet, or they may even not be living in a physical body at all. Or they could also be living in Toledo, Ohio!

How to translate our partner’s messages Our hearts speak in emotions and feelings and not in words. So it is with both receiving and understanding messages from our partners. I urge you to think in metaphors, because the heart uses the language of the right brain, which uses intuition, but also metaphors, signs, and omens to communicate with us. Basically our partner and our heart will use whatever works best to convey the message to us.

The thing is, no matter where they are, they are a piece of us in opposite polarity that is attached to us through our heart. The important part to know is no matter where they or we are, we are connected. We are always connected. And no matter what’s going on, we can always access that connection. The trick to it, and there is always a trick, isn’t there, is that we have to be listening or paying attention in order to hear or sense them.

Examples of types of messages Music. Here we are walking through a store and suddenly we hear a piece of music that means a lot to us and tears start to flow down our eyes. My partner likes to send me songs quite frequently, and I often hear the words or the melody as I awaken early in the morning. I write them down and rush off to the computer to ‘get the message’ from the song lyrics. I can’t tell you how many times he has used this method. The results are always breathtaking and amazing. He has just answered a question I had in my heart about something going on with us. Or sent me some encouragement.

How to make contact with our completion partner Sending a message and making contact Let’s cover how to make contact with our completion partner first. If we think of it as two minds sharing one heart, then we have a good idea of what’s going to happen. It starts in our heart. To reach our partner, we go inward into our heart. We focus on our heart and see it opening like a camera lens as widely as we can open it. Then we send out a warm huggy feeling of love from our heart. When I do it, it feels like big bubbles bursting out of my heart into the invisible space. If I am really focussed and centered the bubbles of love will burst out of me for several seconds, and they seem to do it of their own volition. It’s not something I do. It

Magazines, books. We could be sitting in the doctor’s office, or waiting to go into an interview and suddenly we look down and there is a message from our partner coming at us from a page in the magazine we are browsing through. This has happened many times for me, and usually through Reader’s Digest or National Geo33

graphic. One can write an entire book on how to read these signs, but our heart knows when it’s from your partner, and it’s up to us to stay open to receiving the messages and not choke them off by going into our critical mind and doing an eye role and one of those energy deflating, phrases like “I must be crazy, this is impossible!” And note well, the minute we do this, the door closes on our ability to receive the message. It’s not a punishment, it’s pure energy. If you lower the vibration you close the connection. Nature, flowers, birds. We’re walking down a side walk thinking about our partner when a blue jay or an eagle flies over and calls out to us. Then our heart will burst open in joy and feel that love coming into us. The butterfly or the face in a tree, or even a cloud can be the essence of a message from our partner, an affirmation of love sent to us in a discouraging time. Stones, jewelry and found objects. And one of the most fun surprises for me is when I randomly stop on a walk and look down and there’s a heart stone right at my foot. Or I’m walking through a mall and there in the window is a ring that has the symbol that means something personal between my partner and me. Messages from our partners might appear to just appear from nowhere. Suddenly, poof, there is a gift from our partner. When we see these things, it is up to us to be discerning, yes, but sceptical, no. We know by how we feel in our heart when we find these beautiful things. Anything particularly meaningful to us. It can be anything, appear anywhere, and mean something important to us: A silly joke, slapstick humor, even a visiting ‘cameo’ appearance from our partner. How? By a look and a comment that someone suddenly says to us and it touches us with a knowing awareness. We can sense it is specially meant for us. Even if it’s coming from a street person or stranger on the subway, or some dreamboat who just walked past us and gave us a special smile. The most important point is that those of us who are single and feel alone, really are never alone. Our partner is always here with us. We just have to learn how to contact them, and how to know when they are contacting us. Once we awaken to this and begin to connect, who knows what adventures we can create! Oh what wonders! Note: If you would like to learn more about how to contact your partner, send me a note at www.decodingthebutterflypromise.com

Essential Oils– Vera Enshaw

Black pepper. We use it to season our food, sprinkling it liberally on everything from eggs to pasta dishes. Black pepper has way more uses than as a seasoning, though!

It is potentially a hot oil, so take care when adding to a bath or using topically. When I opened my bottle and smelled it for the first time (it’s a new oil for me!) I immediately thought of mixing it with peppermint. Both are ‘hot’ oils, but each in a different way. I like both the smell and the feel of the mix. Give it a try!

I live in an area where winter signals the onset of cool, damp weather – hard on those people who suffer from rheumatism and arthritis. Black pepper, diluted in an organic carrier oil (such as sweet almond or grape seed oil) and rubbed on location, is warming, stimulating and helps to improve circulation. This can provide immediate relief for arthritic or rheumatic pain. It can also help ease muscle pain caused by overworking muscles. Got a cramp or pulled muscle? Give it a dose of black pepper essential oil!

Please remember to use only 3rd party certified therapeutic grade essential oils. For more information on Young Living Essential oils and blends, please contact me by email at lightvera1@gmail.com or go to the website: www.youngliving.org

Vera

Black pepper supports the digestive system. It helps with occasional heartburn, nausea and gas and stimulates the entire digestive system from the salivary glands to the large intestine. It helps to inhibit the bacteria that are responsible for the formation of gas in the stomach and the intestines by promoting the secretion of digestive juices (acids and bile). Helps clean the intestines and can cure infections in the digestive and excretory system. It helps to remove uric acid from the blood, so aids in relief of gout. When it is ingested it increases sweating and urination, playing an important role in removing toxins from the body. A note of caution: Moderation is key when taking this oil internally. Too much can cause nausea and vomiting – not quite the result we are looking for! Emotionally, black pepper helps us digest unhealthy feelings towards others and ourselves. It is especially helpful for people who are self-critical and judgmental. To assist with this apply topically (diluted) or diffuse. Spiritually, this oil helps to release negative energies and to embrace our own power. It works with the root chakra – visualize the colour red when doing cleansing and clearing.

Aromatic – stimulating and empowering, helps us in getting things done. Enhances alertness and stamina. This may be the best oil of all to diffuse when tackling that cleaning/ clearing job we have planned for the New Year! Because it is a middle note it can help to balance your blend – light fruits and intense woody smells are put into harmony by the addition of black pepper. Use it also in cooking! Start with one drop in your sauce or stew, stir and taste. Add more oil to suite your taste, remembering to test after each drop. Contact Vera at lightvera1@gmail.com

Lately, people have been asking about bindrunes, how to make them, what they do, how many runes to use. There is no hard and fast rule regarding the creation of a bindrune. They are sometimes a combination of runes used for protection, or to bring something to fruition you truly want. Try to use no more than five runes, and I feel, as few as two, to create your bind rune as the more you use, the more cluttered it becomes and it will make it almost impossible to distinguish one rune from another. One definition I came across goes like this "a bindrune is made up of several runes superimposed upon one another in a harmonious fashion." Note, the writer said "harmonious" - it is very important when creating a bindrune to choose runes that look good when placed together. Luckily, most runes, because of their straight edges, do look good together. The great thing about a bindrune, is that will either work or it won't. If you choose the correct combination of runes it will become a powerful talisman. If runes are just haphazardly put together, it won't, but unlike other forms of magick, the beginner need not worry about any negativity. So feel free to try many different combinations. The runes will let you know what works for you. It is always good to think hard and meditate on the proper runes for the resolution of the question at hand. Be sure you truly know the magickal purpose that you have in mind. If you truly understand your problem, be it, protection, romance, wealth, or what have you, your choice of runes should reflect this and act swiftly to resolve your issue. You can use books or the web to discover different combinations but remember, your own intuition is your best guide when dealing with your personal life. I hope this clears up any misconceptions regarding bindrunes and if you have any further questions about any aspect of runes, I would love to hear from you. Sk책l to all my Brothers and Sisters

The rune for the month is Kenaz This particular drawing was upright, but if it had been reversed, it would show an ending, a loss, or a gift withdrawn.

The fact that the runes chose this particular stone is very appropriate as it can herald a time of "opening up," of good things coming into one's life. As we start a new year, now would be a good time to start something new - perhaps even a new romantic relationship. Yes, I know it isn't really the start of the new year, but as we now do celebrate January 1 as the beginning of the year we will use it.

When the surrounding runes in the cast are delay runes such as, Isa, Naudhiz, or Othala reversed, this loss or delay will act to block your progress, resulting in much internal trauma and anxiety. The querent may feel as though they have exercised poor judgement in matters to date or their vision has somehow been obscured, leading to confusion and confounding their problems.

Kenaz symbolizes the element fire, but unlike Fehu, it is the friendly, warm, controlled flame of the torch or hearth fire.

When appearing reversed in a romantic reading, it can indicate the two people involved have done all they can together and now will go their separate ways. This would be especially indicated if Naudhiz appeared in the cast. If this is the case, ponder the wisdom of letting go. Do not cling to any relationship which may b failing at this time. Whether the relationship is business or personal, accept the changes as bad, but necessary, and prepare your heart for the new growth that is sure to come.

This rune represents strengths, energy, and power. Like Uruz, it signifies vigorous good health and strong powers of recuperation. When drawn in a cast, it is often placed to indicate the importance of a positive attitude. Kenaz is one of the most helpful runes that can arise when you are experiencing problems of any sort. Upright, it is a protective sign, indicating an upcoming respite from worries and a time when trials will be few and easily manageable.

However, if accompanied by positive runes, it could show that problems and losses are only temporary.

Kenaz will always signify the man in a question of romance no matter what sex the querent is. It usually shows the male offering something, either material or heartfelt. If the querent is male the surrounding runes will indicate if the gift will be accepted or not. If it is a female, she should look to the surrounding stones for clues as to the motives behind the proffered gift.

In any reading, if you aren't getting what you feel you need, pull more runes. That will open up a greater understanding of what the runes are saying. Until next month, Sk책l my brothers and sisters

This is also the rune of creativity and is of great importance to craftsmen and artists. When paired with Ingwaz, Berkana, or Hagalaz, it can signify an actual birth. If the accompanying runes are Ansuz, Raidho,Wunjo, or Algiz, it shows the birth of an idea, something creative, and sometimes inspired by love.

Planetary ‘Action’ at a Glance

pressions of action. Mars does not necessarily hang out with the trio (Sun Mercury Venus) he follows his own path through the sky sometimes spending a month and a half (occasionally several months) in each sign. This year he actually moves at a pretty good clip – with NO retrograding J. He starts out (January) in Aquarius and moves to Pisces by the middle of the month where he will wander through this foggy energy until near the end of February. Mars struggles in some of the signs more than others, this year we need to be mindful of our actions (or lack thereof) in January/February, April, July, November and December.

Double Whammy Days for the Month of January – 6, 8, 14, 16, 22, 27 … take care – with short meditative breaks throughout the day – remember to breathe. Favorite Meditation or relaxed days for the Month of January – 17, 18, 31 … Experiment with different types of meditation, breathing - moving (chi gong) or walking - silent or music/talking. Mercury, our planet of communication in all forms from old fashioned verbal & written – to communication that travels on air waves, here is a snap shot of 2015 … For the greater part of January, Mercury is travelling through Aquarius … Mercury travels at a fast clip and is generally hanging out with the Sun as it moves through the signs each month. In January we have a Retrograde (inner spiral of re-do and reworking projects) starting on January 21st and lasting through to February 12th. We have our second Retrograde from May 19th to June 11th. Our third Retrograde happens on September 19th through to October 10th. Prepare by backing up all electronic equipment and look at projects that may need reworking, you can also use this time to empty old files and emails.

Mars, watch squares, conjunctions and oppositions for the Month of January – 8, 16, 22, 29 …Use Caution! Be careful of temper tantrums and accidents! RED LIGHT Jupiter, snap shot of 2015 … Our planet of growth, wisdom, opportunities and excess. Jupiter is very slow moving which allows us to settle in and really grasp the energy presented. We start the year off with Jupiter continuing in a retrograde in Leo (inner spiral) where we can contemplate and create our own opportunities of growth. The Retrograde will last until the beginning of April then turn direct when we will express this internal growth into our external environment. Jupiter will move into Virgo in September focusing on numbers, this is a great time to get your accounting or general bookkeeping in order … think growth and wisdom creating opportunities in order to harvest what you have been working so hard for.

Mercury squares and oppositions for the Month of January – 6, 14, 27 …Think before you speak, CHOOSE YOUR WORDS WISELY! Venus, snap shot of 2015 … our planet of Love, Security (which often shows up as monetary wants) and what we like to surround ourselves with (art, greenery, food, music, colour things … ) with a very individual flare and expression. Similar to Mercury, Venus never wanders very far from the Sun. This year we have one Retrograde at the end of July lasting all the way through to the beginning of September. A great way to explore this inner spiral is through connecting to your inner beauty, and creative expression.

Jupiter Squares and Oppositions for the Month of January – 15, 21, 27 … Don’t lose sight of your budget, over-indulging or over-committing, watch that others do not take advantage of your generosity. Saturn, snap shot of 2015 … Our planet of boundaries, restrictions, limitations and possibly fear. Just at the end of 2014 (25th) Saturn moved into Sagittarius, and will travel through this fiery optimistic energy for the next couple of years. This may bring some optimism to our lives as it helps us release from the depths of intensely emotional fears that may have been dredged up over the last two years from his travels though Scorpio. Saturn in Sagittarius will help you infuse flexibility and passion into what you are manifesting, focus on healthy boundaries. As he moves through Sagittarius you may feel a little more unorganized (lack of details), so create a system of to-do-lists that will ensure success. Saturn will retrograde (inner spiral) back into Scorpio from the mid-

Venus squares and oppositions for the Month of January – 6, 14, 28 … Heartache/domestic and security challenges. LOVE and EMBRACE LIFE anyway! Mars, snap shot of 2015 … Our planet of action, passion and anger. In today’s society I think Mars is one of the most difficult planetary projections into our personal psyche. As a society we demand a more Venusian approach to life… think peace not war. Therefore it is important for you to connect to and work with your Martian energy – utilizing healthy ex-

Combine your own Sun sign (ego/identity/core), Moon sign (emotions/Patterns/Habits) and Ascendant sign (projecting your identity) by reading each sign and combining them into one fabulous guide for the month.

– you need to clearly know what you want before you can create the picture and manifest the reality.

Scorpio Horoscope (Oct. 23-Nov. 21) You may feel that life is far from what you had imagined it to be. If you start to experience unexpected bouts of needing to prove yourself or fearfully grab onto dreams that are fading away – take a deep breath – center and use this as an opportunity to tap into what you really want to do. Be Clear! Don’t let yourself get distracted and accident prone … reflect on this moment in time (now). Set an alarm every few hours during your day that will remind you to ‘wake up’.

Starting the year off in full stride… Aries (March 21-April 20) You have a potential record year socially, take care to not over promise or give more than you can afford (in both time and money). If you have been looking for career advancement you may find opportunities (look to your social connections) for drastic change. Money will be there when you need it most.

Sagittarius Horoscope (Nov. 22-Dec. 20) This year you may find you have opportunity (and time) to focus on philosophy and higher thinking and your body may feel like it is storing or holding excess energy and needs an outlet. Increase (or start) a yoga program or other daily exercise that will connect the body to be one with the mind … and the mind to be one with the spirit (perhaps this is the year you will take on or advance Yoga Teacher Training).

Taurus Horoscope (April 21-May 21) This year you may feel more comfortable in your ‘own skin’ than you have for a long time. Spend time re-connecting to the trees, rivers and mountains that surround you – smell, feel, taste … enJoy. Take this ‘comfortable self’ out into public – confidence begets confidence…flaunt it! Gemini Horoscope (May 23-June 20) Take time out this year to explore the mysteries, dive into the depths of abyss, or stretch the boundaries of your mind into the unexplored universe. It is important to (re)connect to your clan – ‘where’ you have come from including your star seed. The deeper your understanding of your roots the higher you will be able to reach beyond the boundaries of time and space.

Capricorn Horoscope (Dec. 21-Jan. 20) The potential for a year full of transformation holding possibilities of achieving great power and control, is within your realm of possibilities. This control will come from a full opening of ego, the lesson is that to be powerful you have no control over anything or anyone other than your own re-action to individuality. Sounds easy … so make yourself an easy-button … use long distant running or swimming to ease the process.

Cancer Horoscope (June 21-July 20) You may find yourself doing a lot of daydreaming about your hopes and dreams – these thoughts are bubbling to surface as this is the year to manifest them into your daily life. It is important to not be overly optimistic and take care not to give more than you can … especially emotionally. Contemplate what healthy boundaries and structure would look like so your dreams can easily and swiftly manifest onto the earth plane.

Aquarius Horoscope (Jan. 21-Feb. 18) Communication, writing and sudden inspiration could start flowing through you like tiny droplets of water. At first this may be a little frightening invoking deep seated fears. Once you release the barrier and tap into your genius, the full flow of connectedness may just rush in torrents into your life – nothing can stop you from the knowledge you desire and have worked for.

Leo Horoscope (July 21-Aug. 22) Focus on health and inner well-being. You may find it difficult but it is best if you you will need to talk it out – communicate how you feel and where you need or want to go from here. Be proactive don’t be afraid to ask for help. Choose experts to work with you – with potential for expected actions that affect you deeply, producing lasting changes to your core well-Being.

Pisces Horoscope (Feb. 18-March 20) This is a year that might feel like it is a hard climb (especially with spiritual attainment). Ritual and repetition will ease your way and connect you to your whole Being. This can be actualized by starting a daily routine … a simple 5 minute (same time - same place) meditation … focusing on your breath or quieting your mind. The payoff is that you may just come down the mountain with new laws and realizations of a new way of living not only for yourself – but for all concerned.

Virgo Horoscope (Aug. 23-Sept. 22) This is a year that you may just find yourself in the middle of having a bit of fun, let go and let some emotional happiness and joy Be infused in your life. Especially include your work – set some happy goals to break up your day … surround yourself with items or pictures that will remind you of these ‘fun’ goals. Libra Horoscope (Sept. 23-Oct. 22) You may be surrounded in extra support both from and when it is least expected. This is the year to strive toward creating structure and security. Who are you and what do you have vs what you need/want. Don’t limit yourself … set a regular schedule (like a walk in the park at lunch) of quiet time each day, in order to connect and contemplate what this looks like and feels like in your life

Full Moon

January 4

The January full moon is known traditionally as the Wolf Moon, but also has been called the Hunger Moon, or Cold Moon, and takes place on January 4th, 2015. This moon will be in the sign of Cancer, which means it could be an emotional moon, and since new moons are about releasing this should work well with releasing emotions that no longer serve you. Full moons tend to bring to a head that which has been bubbling beneath the surface, it can also bring up strong emotion based patterns that formed when we were younger. This is an opportune time to break those patterns down, and release them gently so we don’t keep repeating them. Think of this as a time to gain control over those worn out emotions that keep taking our energy, which could be better focused on new dreams and desires. As this is the first full moon of a new year, it is an excellent time to reinvigorate and energize ourselves. I feel this is a healing moon and if we use all the tools presented to us, we will be off on a clean new path for 2015. For this full moon I have been guided that we should not work on writing out what we wish to release, but rather to honor the full moon with a small ceremony and ask that the energy of the moon work with us to help us realize what we need to release. Start by preparing a cup of tea, good old regular orange pekoe tea with a splash of vanilla, a couple of drops of lemon and some honey. Next light a white candle, and ask your angels to be present; “I ask that the angels in all directions to be with me now. Please assist me in realizing what no longer serves me, as I dream about the successes coming my way this year. Gently guide me to release them once realized in harmony with my dreams. With love and light, realizing inner peace for myself, which serves the highest good of all, thank you!”

I would add a small wolf figurine if you have one or a picture if you don’t, to evoke the energy of the wolf to assist. Wolf medicine assists with;

were born into and the family you choose. Ask that they be with you and supportive of the year ahead, that any past misgivings be forgiven and the bonds of love made stronger.

Culling characteristics and behaviors that no longer serve you

As you blow out your candle, say thank you to your angels for being with you. Feel relaxed and rejuvenated, ready to start your New Year!

Cooperation over competition – the whole pack survives by working together Valuable new ideas, insights and teachings – pay attention to what is coming your way Maintaining self-esteem and integrity, trusting your inner knowing While sipping your tea, think of all the successes you wish to enjoy this year, ask silently that the moon and gentle wolf medicine assist you in realizing what you will need to release in order for these successes to arrive. As you wind down your small, simple ceremony to give thanks to your family and friends. Both the sign of Cancer and Wolf are strong on the bonds of family, the family you

new Moon

The January 20th New Moon is the first super moon of six this year. While we will not see it, due to its proximity to the earth, this makes it a very powerful moon energy. The perfect time to create our vision board for 2015! This New Moon is in the sign of Aquarius, and what comes to me is the lyric “this is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius”. A time of hope and optimism where we embrace the new, the different, and the unique. If we choose, we can allow our true authentic selves to shine through and transform our vision boards to reflect the bigger dreams we have. It is time to proudly display our inner freak to the world, we want to be accepted as we are, and we accept others as they are. So using all this energy to create a vision board, allow yourself to see things in a new way, be a little eccentric, open your mind, and look toward the future and all it holds for you. Now is the time to manifest what you would like to see for 2015.

You will need to gather some supplies prior to the 20th and you might want to take some time thinking about exactly what you wish to manifest this year. I personally like to use the 12 x 12 scrapbooking pages, the nice thing about them is you can choose whatever color you want, you will need two, more if you feel inspired. You can add to your vision board later as well if you use this method, think of it as being vision pages. Next, you will need markers, scissors, stickers, magazines, quotes printed from the internet, pictures, whatever you feel you will need to make your board uniquely yours.

January 20

On the day or evening of the 20th, gather your supplies. Light a candle of your choice, play some music for inspiration (whatever rocks your world be it Van Halen, Queen, or Katie Perry), have a few crystals to add to the overall energy (again whatever you are drawn to is best). Set the intention to be guided by your heart in manifesting your dreams. Spend as much time as needed to create your board. When you are finished say the following or what you are guided to say “I ask that my angels be with me as I start on the journey of manifesting my desires into my life. Please guide me to make the perfect choices so that I can see them come to fruition. Thank you for being with me on my journey.” Place your board where you can access it easily or put in on display where you can see it each day. From now until the Full Moon in February, spend time looking at your board each day (5 minutes is long enough). If you feel that you need to add something, by all means do, and when you are done looking at it give thanks for all the dreams manifesting into your life. Take a few moments to appreciate the beauty you have created, see how each item you placed on your board is a piece of you and reflects the beauty of your soul. When you are ready, blow out your candle and envision the wisps of smoke carrying your dreams into the universe to be returned to you, fulfilled.

A crystal reading for January Week 1 Rhodocrosite

Week 2 Molybdenum

You are beautiful. You are an angel, a sunbeam, a rainbow. You are love incarnate. Like the crystals that are used for these readings you emanate a powerful energy. You draw to you that which you need in order to know love. Reaching out in a quest for information that can help you to walk the path of joy and light is a natural thing. We are often confused as to which way to turn, what voice to listen to. Always, always heed your own inner voice, your intuition. Carry and use crystals, allowing the frequency of each stone to assist you in hearing your own wise self. You are love. You are dearly loved.

Week 4 Fluorite

Week 4 Lepidolite

Week 1 - December 1 – 6 Rhodocrosite It is the beginning of the new year. It is interesting that the stone that begins this month’s reading also began last month’s! You will notice that there is only a small amount of Rhodochrosite in the stone, and I do not know what the crystal that surrounds it is called. It is beautiful, though, with many, many pictures. Angels, animals, human forms…all together in a beautiful deep green. These few days, the beginning of the new year, are like that. A small sliver surrounded by the possibilities that await us this year. Celebrate by giving yourself a gift – the gift of sitting down on January 1st and looking down the year to the end. What would you like to accomplish this year? On December 31, 2015 how do you want to feel – about the year that has passed, about yourself, about your life? Feel that. Feel the beautiful feeling that comes from having attained your goals, from having found and manifested your dreams. Get totally into the feeling - and then give thanks. This week is about beginnings. You will be nudged. Pay attention to your heart. Week 2 - January 4th – 10th Molybdenum on Quartz This week is the calm before the storm. If you have a project that you have started, secure it. Make sure that you have dotted the I’s and crossed the T’s. Not because it is in danger, but so that you will be able to come back to it and recognize the shape of it even when all that is around it may have shifted and changed. Help is available for those who need it….make sure that you ask for what you require. In many ways this is a test for you – is the end result important enough for you to step outside of your comfort zone and ask for assistance? Week 3 - January 11th – 17th Celestite Look beyond the obvious for hidden marvels. This delicate blue stone seems very humdrum on the surface – but oh! the inside is full of sparkles and many beautiful points and clusters within clusters. Each one represents possibilities, areas of your life that don’t seem to have a lot of zest, or get-up-and-go. Is this true, or is it your way of avoiding the effort that it takes to get underneath and find the beauty. You are being called this week to make the effort, to take the time. Someone is waiting for you to look at them and smile, to recognize their beauty. What seems like a very small act for you has huge ramifications for them, and is yet another place where shift happens. Week 4 - January 18th – 24th Fluorite Wear your heart on your sleeve this week and expect someone to notice! An emotional week, and one where you are being offered the gift of allowing others to see that emotion rather than hiding it away. What goes out comes back in a beautiful cycle. Small miracles occur – notice them, acknowledge them and give thanks.

Week 5 - January 25th – 31st Lepidolite Are you in love with yourself? If you do not love your self how can you offer love to another being? This week you will be brought back to the mirror again and again until you look into the eyes of the beloved reflected there and acknowledge that being. Love is the focus. It will be reflected everywhere. Will you see it?

On the weekend of Dec 5 to Dec 7, 2014 an extraordinary event happened. A weekend retreat set in nature with scalar wave sound technology. The most ever of this kind in one place at one time. This technology helps raise the vibration of the planet, humanity and ourselves. It also helps to release long standing patterns, blocks, emotions and beliefs. The purpose is to help make us more conscious and help us live who we are at the core of our being. To support the technology there was also various practitioners and workshops. Structured water was available all weekend to drink made known by the beloved Dr. Emoto. Lastly personal sound sessions were made available for the weekend event. Personal sessions included an analysis of your voice and the result is you received tones for the release of blocks specific to you. Your voice is more unique then your finger print. So listening to your tones provides a unique transformational tool that is YOU at your deepest level. I myself had an extraordinary transformation of long standing issues one of which I have had before my birth in utro. The depth of the changes, with deep support of the practitioners and the tools that were provided, left me with permanent transformations that ripple out in the ocean of love into infinite in all areas of my life and beyond. They will not only effect me but everyone and everything I come in contact with in deep love and connection. There is much of the weekend that no amount of words could describe because it is far beyond words. At this point we step out of description to a channel as I am being gently guided to start. So with that direction please sit back relax and listen, perceive and feel with your being what is to come. Dear Ones, Indeed a transformation on a global scale has occurred the vortex it has created ripples out to everyone and everything. This vortex that was lovingly built and sustained spins even now in the multidimensionality of unfathomable love. Every molecule of the universe is love. Every molecule within you is love. You vibrate and radiate love. We know you are wondering how these ripples will change you. Please stop wondering. Go with the flow dear ones. LET GO AND LET LOVE!! Let go and breathe in the sunrise of a new dawn. You beloved souls each and every one of you are that new dawn as you awaken to yourselves radiant and bright like the super nova’s you are. Be at peace dear ones. Be love beloved ones. Be the sacred vibration of your own beauty within the oneness of love. Yours within the oneness of love The Angels Thank you Clearly Conscious Energetics, Bill Little and Ann Sahadath for holding sacred space for this transformation to occur for one and all. Power Animal

As I left the house this morning to head to my favourite cafe I asked what the power animal of the month was and thunderbird came in. So with the rumbling of thunder and a flash of lightening the thunderbirds speak;

Your power and light is magnificent. Let it rumble through the universe. Think about the rumbling of thunder that reverberates the skies and then the sudden flash of lightening .This is symbolic of transformation and power .You can be that power with the insights you allow and release in your transformation. The power lies in the allowing in the vulnerability of your release and letting go. In your trusting of yourself and your inner transformation guided by the thunder and lightning of divine source. Your power and your light are magnificent. Let it rumble through the universe for all to feel, to hear and to know. Your power and transformations are important through all the worlds of creation. For within those changes you, the world and humanity also change.

Message from the Angels

January 2015 This month as I settled in to ask the angels what their message was for us, I was joined by Merlin. He asked me to place my hands on my heart and to hear his words for each of us as we move forward into this auspicious year of 2015. His message was profound and touched me deeply. I could feel a deep healing happening as we spent an hour together. Below are the words he spoke;

thing has a reason. Know full well that all happens at exactly the right time, and that all is well during each moment. You have the magic within you to shift anything. I have heard your pleas, “if only I had a magic wand. You carry a powerful magic wand with you at all times. Your thoughts and emotions are part of this magic wand. I ask you to lay down your emotions so your defenses soften and you can see more than your point of view. The same goes for your thoughts. If you can soften your defenses, you begin to see with compassion that not all is what it seems. That in every given moment you have choices, some tougher than others, but you have a choice! You are the magician orchestrating your life. Your every action, thought, and emotion leads you to the life you have. It is never too late to heal what has been done, but only by moving forward can anything be healed. You cannot go back in time and redo anything.

Greetings, I am Merlin, I join you as you start off this fresh year with some words of wisdom that I hope you will take into your heart, hear them well and use them throughout the year as you venture forth. Stop looking back over time, it has past, it has served you well and you need to only focus on the path ahead. If you wish to look at the past all the time, I give you this vision to carry with you. Those who walk backwards through life eventually stumble and fall flat. You will only push yourself up to start again and again stumble. If you continue to relive your life that has past, you will miss the beauty that is unfolding for you each and every day. You will miss the opportunity to have exactly what you want. The time for stumbling over what has been is done. You need to face your life head on, eyes and feet moving forward.

My gift to each of you is a new cloak. Place this cloak upon your being and understand that by doing so you are accepting your future. One that is free from the box you have lived in for so long. That box has been destroyed, and no longer do you have a box holding you to your past. You have a new world waiting for you to explore. It will take bravery and courage, but you have that in hand. Ask me to heal you as you place the cloak around your shoulders, and I will wrap you in my magic and allow you to see that you can accomplish anything, if you walk forward and leave your past behind.

Be careful not to fall into the trap of creating the future you cannot see, in your mind. You are only given a range of possibilities and cannot completely see how future events will unfold. Why create stories in your mind before they have unfolded? Why not enjoy what is right here and tangible? Everything is energy and every-
