About us!
Founded in 1991, NTU ODAC is a large bonded family of adventure lovers who love the outdoors and the adrenaline rush! Despite our hectic university lives, we always look to pass on the spirit of adventure and foster friendship in the process.
Each year, we organise exciting trekking trips and events, such as one & two star kayaking certifications, Adventure Trail Challenge (ATC) and Freshmen Outdoor Overseas Trip (FOOT)!
Each Subcommittee has a role to play in ODAC. Together, we form one of the most dynamic families in NTU.
Presidents’ address
When we began our term in the 26th Management Committee, we had one simple yet ambitious goal: to bring back the ODAC that we knew from our seniors, the ODAC that we hoped to experience when we first joined the club as freshmen, the ODAC that all thrill seeking fanatics once loved and enjoyed Even with our term coming to an end, it is still a very fruitful work-in-progress, especially with the given challenges we faced in the covid-haggard past year Nonetheless, we are proud that the spirit of adventure is still strong within ODAC, for it is the journey that counts, not the arrival
Despite the various restrictions and disruptions brought about by the safe management measures, we are extremely grateful that our ODAC members have managed to embark on our fair share of adventures, formed friendships that we hope will be ever-lasting, way beyond your journey within the club and find a family that they can take on the adventures of the uncharted world with!
To our outgoing sub-committee members, Despite the ups and downs that all of us face in the past year due to the ever-changing restrictions, we sincerely hope that your ODAC journey thus far is an unforgettable part of your university life We are especially grateful and proud of all of you who have given your best efforts to spread the spirit of adventure through your various sub-committee activities, such as Adsports’ kayaking courses, the ATC race, FOOT Camp as well as Trek’s public winter activity. We thank you for persevering through whatever challenges you faced along the way and supporting your fellow sub-committee members and your SPOs. Lastly, we hope that the bonds you forged and memories you made throughout your ODAC journey will be long-lasting and unforgettable.
To our incoming sub-committee members, We have great confidence and faith in the incoming 27th Management Committee to continue the efforts to bring back the ODAC we once knew and heard of. Do give them and your SPOs your support and trust, for they will lead you to take on the unpredictable yet exciting journey never charted before. And most importantly, do remember to keep your inner passion for the outdoors alive, immerse yourselves in the various adventures that the club has to offer and we promise you, these will be the most fulfilling and memorable days that you will yearn for in the future to come.
To our 26th Management Committee, This may not have been the easiest journey for everyone, but that is why from the very bottom of our heart, we sincerely thank you for your hard work and effort in supporting us and the club throughout the year. Despite not experiencing much adventure in t adventure is still strong within yourselves and we woul Management Committee and the club should they ever as Hopefully, there will be a chance in the future where we w to embark on a proper adventure together.
To all freshmen and students reading this, Whether you are a hard-core adventurer who has roug the outdoors, or someone who have yet to discover the s of adventure within yourselves, we hope that you will ODAC a chance for you to share and grow that spir adventure with like-minded people (you won’t regret it!)

“Friends by chance, family by choice (We) must find comfort in loneliness ”
These are the wise words left by the sagacious 15th batch of Adsports In Adsports, every second is filled with laughter and squeals of excitement even before the activity has properly started As the bonding arm of the ODAC family, the Adsports committee has been responsible for initiating new adventure sport activities such as mountain biking, paintball and bubble soccer Home to vivacious individuals with the craziest ideas, there is never a dull moment with Adsports!

Night Cycling!
Sunset, Stars, Supper, Sunrise.
Beyond the usual joys of night cycling, Adsports planned interesting games and experiences to ensure the experience was a fulfilling one. Members had the opportunity to interact with each other and create new memories Coupled with the breathtaking night views along Marina Bay, it was a memorable night with many new bonds formed.
A trademark of Adsports, our ideas were never limited by our physical constraints. Even through the pandemic, we enjoyed a day in the field playing water games like slippery tug-of-war!
Spartan Race! Trekking/ Hydrodash!

Having conquered much of the sea, Adsports have also done a fair bit of trekking during our bonding sessions Here’s a moment when we trekked at Fort Serapong before cooling off at Hydrodash!
Hey
our Cutiepatootiehoneybunnydeariemacaronililbabybooboos,
Can y’all believe it?! We are now one year old as Adsports!!! Thank you for making our one and only year super amazing, wonderful, enjoyable, fruitful, incredible, unbelievable, lit and fabulous! Y’all are the reason we look forward to every Thursday (even though our punctuality doesn’t reflect this). We really, really love how everyone blended so well with one another. We will miss our stupid inside jokes, making fun of each other, the constant bickering, laughing till we cry, and all the retarded shit we do together as a group.
Thank you for trusting us, following us and supporting us in every decision we made. When we first started this journey, we were unsure if what we had prepared was sufficient, suitable or even interesting. But every step along the way, we realise that whatever we do doesn't matter, as long as it is with y’all :D Every single one of you shaped AS15 into who we are now, and I can’t imagine not having any of you here <3.
Seeing how far we have grown together as one Adsports really made us super proud as your SPOs! #bestdecisionofmylife #maybenot. Really the best subcommers we can ever ask for! #notreally. Hope y’all will always remember the times we spent together, our games, PT sessions, gai gais, drinking, birthdays and celebrating every lil occasion with each other. But this is not the end, it’s just the beginning of a new chapter!
Friends by chance, family by choice hehe. We will always be friends forever yaaa~
We love y’all xoxo

ATC is an annual amazing race covering places you never thought could be explored in this small island of ours. Past participants have always enjoyed the challenges that were given to them during the race For all you competitive junkies out there, ATC is a must join! From orienteering, kayaking and obstacle courses, you’ll compete to see who comes out at the very top!
Bonding time!
The ATC subcommitee is a fun-loving and adventurous bunch. Our main goal is to plan and conduct our annual ATC event every year, but we still have our fair share of activities and games that make this subcommittee a very enjoyable one
Throughout the academic year, we have organised plenty of activities to destress and bond with one another. From cycling and exploring the wildlife on Pulau Ubin to kayaking to the nearby islands, we truly had a lot of fun together!
Games!
At times where we got too #proactive and #efficient with our work, we would play games during our weekly meetings! The most memorable one would be the Running Man name tag elimination challenge. Despite it being just around the school block, that evening really got our adrenaline pumping and got us constantly screaming with laughter. We’ll definitely treasure these small, precious moments when we look back on our journey with ATC.

Recces!
Aside from our weekly meetings, we go on various recces to find suitable locations for our main event (ATC). The recces were nothing short of an enjoyment as we explored and discovered places that we never thought could be explored in SIngapore. We’re always mentally prepared to walk A LOT. But with all the chill chitchats and jokes we share with one another, any distance is possible!!
big smiles only! mud spa
ubinnnn teamHi minions
Thanks for this v chaotic year of venturing around sg and doing silly stuff. It’s because of everyone’s effort that ATC was able to reboot after 3 years. Sometimes the taskings were difficult, but we’re glad y’all tonned it out and did a damn good job at that.
There were many silly moments to remember, which helped make the entire ATC journey fun and memorable. Our goat farm trip, kayaking sea expedition, playing running man (isit? forgot tbh) and getting scolded by the prof teaching night class, HORROR MOVIE NIGHT YAY, ESCAPE ROOM!!! (Alphababe69 is iconic), the countless reccees, night cycling, cleaning the fragrant store <3, we hope these moments will be the core part of your memory of ATC and not the lame boring meetings lol.
TBH WE FOUND THE MEETINGS BORING at times as well cause of the workload and we’re genuinely very thankful that all of y’all still came down and showed us face. A Lot of times it was quite frankly very zuobo but tbh (well since it ended we can be honest now), the four of us also don’t really know what we were doing as well.
Quite frankly, the four of us struggled a lot behind the scenes because ATC lowkey was like a bad deal because it was so hard to plan, and we’re sure many of you felt this way as well, but we stuck through it for you guys just like how y’all stuck through it for the subcomm <3. Many of y’all have such funny traits that made it worth it for the four of us to continue; we were this close to disbanding ATC no cap. For the ones that came back, don’t worry, it’ll be easier this year cause the groundwork was already set by y’all last year.
From Craig’s weird (baby) jokes, Lucas’ KFC antics, Denise's snarkiness (gives me life tbh), Ivan’s stupidity, Jeron’s happy go lucky nature, Eugene’s sassiness…... Actually, there are too many funny characteristics… too lazy to mention all due to limited vocabulary in describing character traits. These will be memories that you’ll cherish in future! Don’t be sad it’s over! Be glad it happened!

Freshman Outdoor Overseas Trip is a subcommittee full of adventure-seekers (and frog catchers) Also known as the rojak of ODAC, we participate in a variety of activities that range from night cycling to hike recces
Due to the covid pandemic, it has taken a while for the Overseas portion of FOOT to return But our thirst for adventure will not stop us from doing the things we love like island hopping, exploring hidden trails and just doing crazy funny stuff! Foot is more than just a subcomm, it's a wild and pretty awesome family :) #Adventureisoutthere #Foot22besties #HandsomeandPretty #Footfatties

Adventure HQ!
FOOT truly never misses an opportunity to hang out! Even recess week is filled with fun activities such as night cycling, hikes, and study sessions (not really oops). Nothing is mundane when FOOT is together! During our summer break, we visited Adventure HQ at HometeamNS Khatib, the largest indoor playground in Singapore! This playground however is not for the faint-hearted. We climbed rock walls, slid down a 14m long slide, and went through obstacle courses This definitely provided us with a lot of laughs and screams, mostly screams.

Pulau Ubin!
After a very stressful month of finals, our subcomm got to unwind by participating in a 2D1N trip in Pulau Ubin where we set up our own tents, walked through the rain, and got to relax and warm up with our very own campfire Roasting marshmallows while singing songs in the dark of night with the scent of the forest and burnt wood, many memories were made that night.
Mid-Autumn Celeb!
#bros_over____
If there's one thing FOOT loves, it is playing games and finding creative ways to spend time together From movie nights, to island hopping, FOOT really does it all. On our first FOOT meeting, the subcommers hiked to the former Jurong Bird Park at night It was a night filled with laughter, as the seniors recited old ghost stories of the ‘haunted’ park (which were proven to be false, much to their dismay). As it turned out, we were brought to the park for our mid-autumn celebration, where we lit up sparklers and ate mooncakes as we viewed the skyline. It was truly one of the most memorable nights with FOOT. we love foot
#chefskiss #cuteTo our dearest foot22,
thank you for making us mothers. Thi meaningful, amazing and beautiful journey for us. From our endless dry runs, frisbee games, slacking during pt, htht, study sessions, suppers, clementi forest hikes, night cycling, blasting music on rugan’s speakers, stirring shits, flirtings, hates and attachment issues - thank you for allowing us to find joy in both the smallest and bigger things in life, as even mundane things feels fun with y’all. This is an experience we’ll remember for a lifetime, and we hope you feel the same way too. Thank you for being such an outgoing, spontaneous, fun, noisy and (most of the time) wholesome bunch. Being your SPOs is one of if not the best decision we’ve made in uni. This journey wasn’t an easy one for any of us - having to fulfil what we couldn’t the past year in such a short amount of time, trying new variations and exploring new places with covid restrictions in place, all while trying to build what we had hoped to be a safe and welcoming place for everyone. However, y’all made choosing FOOT so easy for us, and every single moment we spent was filled with fun and laughter.
We hope that you’ll continue to reminisce about the moments we had and hold them close to your hearts. We wish you all the best in creating new memories, exploring new places, finding new adventures and meeting new people!!!! There is nothing to be afraid of, the world is truly in your hands~~ We believe in you, support you and we'll always be proud of you. Every experience is what you make it to be!
A special mention to our handsome and beautiful seniors Keith, Benson, Gerry, Wallace, Yuet Ruh, Danish, Czu En, Hui Yao, Natalie and (sometimes) Daniel. We wouldn’t be here without your endless love and support <3

The Trek Subcommittee is NTU ODAC’s specialised hiking team that focuses on conquering mountains all over the world Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we explored trekking routes across Singapore over the majority of the semester before embarking on our Vietnam trip up Mount Fansipan when the borders reopened It was a spectacular trip, with even spectacular company!
“Singapore closes borders to keep virus at bay...”
Sounds like bad news? Nope, not for us Trekkers! We found the perfect getaway during these unprecedented times Taking a trip down to Pulau Ubin, we Trekkers sought comfort and adventure in the rural and stress-free environment.
During our short time on Ubin, we cycled around the island and conquered Puaka Hill (obviously with much ease)! But that was just a little TOO mainstream for us. We went off-trail (shh… everything was legal) and discovered some really cool stuff too! Want to know what we saw? Come join us next time and we’ll tell you! ;)
Pulau Ubin! Night Cycling!
Follow us through our fun-filled night as we cycled from Changi towards the central district! Starting from the popular cycling track at Changi Jurassic Mile, we got to the famous East Lagoon Food Village in just an hour! With our stomachs all filled, we continued our journey to the central district And that’s when all the fun begins!
More supper breaks at 7-11, random photo shoots along the MBS skyline, conversations about anything under the stars along the marina barrage, and more photos and talks as we watched the calming waves and rising sun at 7am in the morning. Through it all, we were all just thankful that no one was injured and that we had a really great time together :)
To describe our Vietnam trip as “fun” would be a total understatement For a little over a week, 9 of our Trek members travelled across Hanoi, Sapa and Ninh Binh. The highlight was definitely climbing up Mount Fansipan, despite the rain clouding our view and making us unbearably cold at the summit. Also, we vividly remember being chased by human-sized boars, trekking barefoot and being ankle-deep in the muddy paddy fields, cycling like a local along the countryside, vlogging our own indomie dinner cooking show, kayaking along Ha Long Bay, one of our members losing his passport etc What a way to start our Summer holidays! This trip is definitely one we will remember FOR LIFE
in no particular order - iliyas aka mr cramps and indomie4life; faiz the bufflord; kevia our super serious photographer yet cannot read map; keane our tripod dad; jayme our skypic influencer and 2busy4u; jenn aka ms primordial and ihaterunningplz; maw our trek’s top model; marvell our superstar singer and mr 100 questions; sharlin our extremely wholesome presence and; hsinyi our weekend cafe hopper:
It really is hard to put into words how this year turned out for us! (look at two men attempting to write an appreciation message..) While we started off with plenty of uncertainty as to whether we were able to travel and the never-ending restrictions definitely didn’t help, we’re glad that we still managed to do as much as we did. From our extremely muddy 21km hike, to seeking shelter in abandoned bunkers, and forcibly converting someone’s break area (sorry!) into BBQ pits… we learned one thing - you guys have an affinity for rain LOL.
When we were finally able to travel, this rain followed us all the way to Vietnam… It rained so hard right as we were leaving our base camp for the summit. But it was real heartening to see all of you push on despite the weather, cheering each other on, helping each other out with your bags, and of course curse at the number of times we got siked by the staircases… While the highlight of our trip was definitely summiting Fansipan, how could we forget our instant 180° into IDAC everytime we checked into our airbnb, having 2 hour long meals and being late for almost every pick up timing, and last but not least our extremely candid shot at reality tv LMFAO. And of course with every trip comes its own mini crisis.. from being dropped off hours early TWICE and having a lost passport scare to actually losing a phone in the grab it's almost comedic in a sense but as everyone rallied together and provided support it really was heartwarming. While it wasn’t a full attendance for our overseas trip, we genuinely hope that the year has been fulfilling for everyone, that you all formed not just fond memories, but also new friendships to last.
We are so thankful for each and every single one of you - for the energy you guys bring every dreaded PT session, to the conversations and laughter over extremely late dinners, to pizza parties in SCHOOL (when will someone open house) and of course our eventful subcomm outings. A special mention to Samfrey, Tiffany and Samuel, we cannot describe how thankful we are for your support throughout this year. To be able to achieve what we couldn’t last year, we hope that your second year in trek has also been fulfilling for you guys.
Ultimately, what we consider success is not the height of the mountain we scaled, nor the number of summits we reached, but the experience and fulfilment that everyone had. It is our honour to have been on this journey with you as Trek XV.
Signing off, Sean
& Zheng Han Samuel Tiffany Samfrey Zheng Han
