Hangin’ with the Kraken Editor’s Note: On a surprisingly warm September day, we had the pleasure of meeting and photographing three of the new Seattle Kraken players for this month’s fall fashion feature (page 48). In turn, we were introduced to player Jared McCann’s adorable corgi puppy, Cheddar, who stopped by the shoot and turned out to be just as photogenic as his owner. (Although Pearl is still a little cheesed she wasn’t invited, as well!)

That’s a Beautiful Boat Editor’s Note: Featured in our September issue, the vintage 1963 50-foot Kettenburg owned by local architect Steve Hoedemaker sure got a lotta love on social, with over a thousand hearts tapped on the @hoedemakerpfeiffer and @nwyacthing Insta posts on the story. Fun fact: The amazing sailboat was first owned by Hoedemaker’s father and now the son sails her today!
