The overwhelming success of last year’s Women’s March on Washington demonstrated the rise of the feminine energy in the collective unconscious of humanity. Wisdom Rising. According to Lama Tsultrim Allione, the suppression of the sacred feminine and the loss of feminine qualities are urgent psychological

and ecological issues in modern society, and it is only by empowering the sacred feminine and listening to the earth as she tries to communicate with us that we will heal ourselves and the planet. Lama Tsultrim Allione is a celebrated Buddhist Teacher and Spiritual Activist and the founder and resident Lama of Tara Mandala Retreat Centre in Colorado. She is the author of “Women of Wisdom, “the National Bestseller “Feeding Your Demons – Ancient Wisdom for Resolving Inner Conflict,” which is now translated into twenty languages, and “Wisdom Rising – Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine,” which provides a method for inner transformation and empowerment into wisdom and fierce compassion for all of us - women and men - who want to be a part of the rising awareness and return of the sacred feminine. Sandra Sedgbeer: Your life journey has been a far from ordinary one. You were born in New England to an academic publishing family. You traveled
to India in your late teens and, in 1970 at the age of just 22, you were ordained as the first American Buddhist Nun. You were also recognized as the reincarnation of a renowned 11th century Tibetan Yogini and became one of only a few female Lamas in the world today. What first attracted you to Tibet and Buddhism? Lama Tsultrim Allione: I think it was really the mandala that drew me in. I met the mandala on a book cover when I was about 15 years old. My Grandparents lived in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and I was in Harvard Square and wandering around and went into a Bookstore and there, on a table in front of me was this book by Carl Jung with a mandala on the cover. Mandalas are a round, circular shape divided into four quadrants in the center, and the Tibetan mandalas, which are quite elaborate are meditation tools. I didn’t know any of that at the time, and I just looked at this Tibetan mandala on the cover of the book. It was as though I traveled into the mandala Omtimes.com
there in the bookstore and I thought this is not normal art; something is going on here. I ended up buying the book, and there were other mandalas inside, and also Jung’s discussion of the mandala, and the mandala being found in the Rose Windows in Chartres, and other gothic cathedrals. I literally followed the mandala and went to India and Nepal when I was 19 and met the Tibetan people. I was a painter at the time, and I wanted to paint Tibetan mandalas and learned that it would take probably about a year just to learn how to measure one. That was discouraging, so I didn’t end up doing that. But I did return to Nepal, and I was ordained in January 1970 as the first American Tibetan Buddhist nun. SANDRA SEDGBEER: When you saw the mandala for the first time, did you feel any sense of recognition? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: I wouldn’t have known to call it that at the time, but I would say in retrospect, yes, because it was that feeling of I know this, like trying to remember Omtimes.com
something, but I didn’t even know about past lives at that time. It was more just a feeling of incredible attraction, which continued to be extremely strong when I met the Tibetan people, and it was like a homesickness that I hadn’t known I had until then. SANDRA SEDGBEER: In the documentary ‘Feeding Your Demons’ you described yourself as having been quite a wild child. You were always out in nature, riding your ponies, swimming in the lake, and one of your greatest pleasures was to run outside in the middle of a thunderstorm in your swimsuit. That speaks of a personality that revealed in movement and action and yet when you became a nun, you spent four years living in caves and remote retreat huts practicing meditation. How difficult was it for you to adapt what appears to have been a wildly exuberant nature to one of stillness and contemplation? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Well, yes, I was wild and very physical as a child, but Tibetan Buddhism has physicality in it, too. For example, the
first thing I did was 100,000 prostrations – full-length prostrations which are done with a certain visualization – something that you are reciting, so it’s a meditation, but it is very physical as you slide all the way down flat on your stomach and then back up, and it takes about 20 minutes to do 100. 100,000 of those took me three months doing that non-stop, basically all day. So, yes, there is that aspect of frustration, and there are also yogic practices in Tibetan Buddhism, but I didn’t have any trouble regarding the meditation and the long hours. Meditation for me was fascinating and deep and wide, and I didn’t feel restless or irritated by having to sit there for hours. It felt very full and a kind of inner exploration, so I think it was past lives, and, a sense of ‘I have done this before,’ and once I was exposed to it, it all came back.
your Buddhist practices? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Yes, that was a really difficult decision because I was actually quite happy as a nun, very joyful, and I also felt that if I continued to be a nun, I would be repressing, my sexuality, and that wouldn’t be healthy for me. I also had a longing for children at that point. I talk about it in my first book “Women of Wisdom” how that was a time of being a maiden or a virgin, not literally a virgin but the time for a woman to belong to no man. I’d had boyfriends before, and then I was celibate for that time, and it was good for me to pull out of that whole dynamic and really find myself and center in myself for those years, but then I felt it would become sort of repression if I continued. So that’s why I stopped, but it definitely wasn’t an easy decision to make.
SANDRA SEDGBEER: Nonetheless, you yearned to become a mother, and eventually you renounced your vows. How difficult a decision was that, and how did renouncing your vows impact
SANDRA SEDGBEER: You subsequently became the mother of four children, one of whom, your daughter Chiara, died at just two-and-a-half months. You wrote that after you lost Chiara you found Omtimes.com
courage again in female role models and you discovered a way to transform your pain into a path forward. What practice was the most helpful for you? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: At that point, I was studying a nature of mind practice. It’s the highest level of practice in the Tibetan tradition, so that was helpful, the resting in the nature of mind and then just being present with the grief. I guess you could call it a kind of mindfulness, but bringing myself into the grief rather than trying to escape from it. To honor it and be as present with it as I could be, which is difficult but in a way, it’s the running away from the grief that makes it worse than just actually turning towards it and feeling it. SANDRA SEDGBEER: In ‘Wisdom Rising’ you teach the mandala of the five Dakinis, a practice which brings together sound, visualization, and meditation to help transform challenging emotions into their wisdom counterparts. Tell us about the Dakinis. Who, or what, are they? Omtimes.com
LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: The Dakinis are embodiments of wisdom in the form of fierce and feminine beings. The word Dakini means Skydancer or She Who Moves Through Space. The Dakini is the most important manifestation of the feminine in Tibetan Buddhism, and she can appear in a lot of different ways. She can appear as a human being or as a deity, as she does in the Dakini mandala; she’s surrounded by flames, naked except for something like a tiger skin and various ornaments, and she’s dancing and fierce. She’s a form of the sacred feminine that we don’t usually see. If we see the sacred feminine at all, we see a female figure usually who is motherly and compassionate and so on, not this fierce, wild manifestation. So, the Dakinis are that, and they’re messengers of spaciousness and emptiness and a force of truth, and one of the things I say in my book is the Dakinis preside over the funeral of selfdeception. They have a quality of fierce truth and energy, and they’re often traditionally found in charnel grounds or cemeteries and also appear
in visions at dawn or dusk in the twilight time between the worlds. So, it’s a fierce feminine but an enlightened feminine. I think the fierce feminine is something that men particularly have been very afraid of historically so, it’s not something that’s been allowed. The fierce feminine has been the witch or the bitch, and that’s not true in Vajrayana Buddhism. It’s the other aspect of the fierce feminism which, to me, is exciting and important at this time with women rising in their fierceness. They have something they can identify with. It’s fierce compassion. It’s not hatred; it’s turning that anger into activism, and so the Dakinis provide a form of inspiration for what’s happening now for women and their allies. SANDRA SEDGBEER: Each of the five Dakinis is associated with a difficult emotion, such as depression, anger, arrogance, craving or envy, as well as corresponding wisdom energy, and the whole point is to move from the difficult emotion into the wisdom energy side of things, such as equanimity
and discernment. How can they actually help us shift our emotional challenges into empowerment? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: The way the transformation takes place is essentially through sound, light, and visualization. So those three components are present, and you work with the seed syllable of the Dakinis, which is quite literally what the Dakini is born from, that sound, and then through that sound, that color, and the symbolic meaning of the Dakinis and all their accouterments, you sound the seed syllable and you actually become the Dakini. You’re her, rather than seeing her outside yourself and so you start with, let’s say, the anger from emotion, and then the emotion connected to that family is transformed through sound, color, and visualization. SANDRA SEDGBEER: In ‘Wisdom Rising’ you place your teachings in the context of recent feminine resistance, including the Women’s’ Marches, the Me Too Movement and the Time’s Up Movement. You’ve said that you hope that ‘Wisdom Omtimes.com
Rising’ can help readers respond with greater wisdom and effectiveness to the distress, challenges, and chaos of our global reality. You had your own experiences of patriarchy and Buddhism; you were criticized by your Buddhist Teacher for being too feminist when you were only trying to bring balance to Buddhism. Tell us how that experience shaped you. LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: When I began with Buddhism I wasn’t really aware of issues with women. I think because of being western, I was given preferential treatment that a Tibetan woman wouldn’t have gotten. Later on, after Chiara died, I became aware in a different way – in a way it was like a blank in my world. Where is the feminine? What would other Buddhist women do who have lost a child? What is their story? So that put me on the search for stories about women and in the process of writing the introduction to my first book ‘Women of Wisdom,’ I researched women in Buddhism and found out about the history of sexism, and then also became aware Omtimes.com
of ways that it had worked in me. And I got really excited about women’s’ spirituality and questions like: ‘if religion or spirituality were created by a woman how would that be? How would that be different? And how would it be to be a part of traditions where we were leaders and not just allowed in under certain rules?’ Which is true of all patriarchal religions, I think, and all the world religions that women are very seldom in leadership roles. So, the death of Chiara, and searching for my own answers began my awareness of the feminine. Of course, I was upset about the sexism, but I also became excited about the feminine and the feeling of, ‘Wow, this is a whole half of humanity that was not really experiencing their full potential.’ So, my effort in ‘Wisdom Rising’ is how we can bring the full potential of the feminine to bear on the current situation? SANDRA SEDGBEER: And do it in a way that isn’t threatening.
LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: And to make the distinction between fierceness and hatred, and how do we take the anger – because certainly there is righteous anger in women for what’s happened to them over not just recent years but centuries – and turn it into wisdom and transformation? That’s what I did in the book to offer tools for that transformation and inner empowerment from which we can draw. SANDRA SEDGBEER: Could you give us a brief overview of the five types? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Yes, sure. In the center of the mandala is the Buddha family and this is the elemental space, the color is white, and the emotional pattern is space - spacing out, which takes the form of depression in extreme forms, dissociation, procrastination, forgetting things, spacing out, essentially. Then the transformed emotion, which is the same energy as what I call encumbered emotion, is the same energy with the struggle of the ego removed from it. So, that
transforms into spaciousness, the wisdom of space, vastness, so that space becomes spacious. In the east, which you’d see in front of you in the mandala, is Vajra. The color is blue, the element is water, the encumbered pattern is anger, and the enlightened wisdom aspect is mirror-like wisdom. So, this is anger, but Vajra people are also very austere and scientific and a bit cold; unemotional, but very sharp. Steve Jobs is a really good example; he had that angular body that the Vajra person has. So, it’s taking that clarity which can be tied with anger and sharpness and transforming that energy through the color and the sound, and so on, into mirror-like wisdom which is the mind as a mirror. In other words, it has that clarity of a mirror. Even a very small mirror can reflect a huge landscape. So, our minds are vast, actually, and we think of ourselves as limited but, in fact, our minds are limitless and clear in their true condition. To your right is the south, and that’s yellow. It is the element of earth. The encumbered Omtimes.com
pattern is kind of interesting because it’s pride and arrogance, but an important piece of understanding is that Ratna Family is actually a feeling of not being good enough and a poverty mentality that creates the need to pump yourself up with pride and arrogance. The Ratna person tends to over-consume, over-eat, over-drink, over-shop, perhaps, and accumulates things in the extreme, which would be hoarding, and all with a feeling that there isn’t enough, that ‘I’m not enough. Therefore, I need more.’ So, that transforms into the wisdom of equanimity, unchanging stillness; it’s giving everything equal value, so you’re not grasping at one thing and rejecting something else. There is evenness in the wisdom aspect of the self. Then, in the west, the Padma Family, that’s behind you; it’s red, it’s fire, and it’s lust and desire. It’s the obstructive pattern, and the wisdom is discernment. So, the encumbered Padma type is always seducing, even the waiter or the person who is checking you in at the airport, Omtimes.com
the Padma person needs to have a relationship with them; needs to find out where they’re from and how they are. We all have that need to connect, but in the Padma, it becomes kind of compulsive and it turns into discernment, which is actually interesting. How can this compulsive desire become discernment? Although when you are trying to seduce somebody, you become very discerning about them. You notice every little detail about them, and you relate to them with discernment. So, when that neurotic pattern is transformed, the self-reference of seduction is removed, and it becomes compassion. It moves from passion to compassion and discernment; being able to see relationships of color, sound, of people, and so on. Perhaps putting the right people in touch with each other but without the egoist reference point that we have in the encumbered aspect of Padma; which, by the way, means Lotus. So, that’s the west, behind us. In the north, we have envy and greed, and the element is air.
The aspect that’s under that envy is feeling that somebody is getting ahead of us and we have to hurry up. So, the kind of breathless competitiveness in the Karma Family can lead to workaholic tendencies; overworking because of fear of being left behind. The Karma person, if there’s a party, is afraid they’re not being invited to the party of the A-list. Perhaps it’s a B-list party, and they want to be at the A-list party. So, there’s a feeling of paranoia based on the comparison, and then that wisdom is all-accomplishing wisdom. So, that force of compulsive activity becomes an enlightened activity, and you move from the force to the flow, and in that wisdom, you have a lot of synchronicity and things falling into place when you get into the flow rather than the force with the Karma Family. So that’s a brief journey around the mandala. SANDRA SEDGBEER: Would you be willing to give us a little example of a practice that you write about in the book? Perhaps working with a seed syllable to transform an encumbered emotion or
something like that? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: OK. Let’s try the Padma family. The Padma is that compulsive need to seduce or that longing for union. A longing for the partner, the perfect person that is going to make us feel whole, and so that creates a kind of compulsive seduction pattern. It may not be extreme in that sense of compulsive seduction, but just a longing that we might have for the unification with the other, and a feeling that if we could just find the right person, everything would be perfect. So, try to feel that pattern in yourself; how that lives in you if you think about that longing for union. Where do you feel that? Personally, I feel it in my heart area So, it’s finding that and then working with the seed syllable and the color rather than the full visualization of the Dakinis. So, take a moment and feel into that feeling of longing, noticing how that feels in our bodies and where, and then we’ll sound the seed syllable of the red Padma Dakini, Omtimes.com
and we’ll see the color red going through our body and lighting it up with bright red luminosity. We’ll just sound it once inwardly rather than projecting it out. The seed syllable is “Mi,” and rather than sounding something like Miiiiiii, it would be more Miii, making your body a chamber where the sound is resonating because you’re working with the sound to transform the emotion. We’ll try that now, again tuning to the emotion and so we can actually feel the transformation take place and notice the feeling of the red in your body. LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: This can be done with anger, with pride and arrogance, with the underlying feelings of inferiority, with the speediness of Karma and with depression, and the spaciness of Buddha sounding songs. You let the color go through your whole body, not just where you are feeling the obstructive pattern, and in the Dakini mandala practice, it does that, and you transform into that dancing, and in this case, brilliant red Dakini, and you become her. So that’s a whole other layer Omtimes.com
of symbolic meaning, what she’s holding, actually the embodiment of the fierce, wild, wise feminine. What we just did was sort of a gateway practice ,and then what you do if you go deeper is to go actually into those five Dakinis. SANDRA SEDGBEER: The book is filled with many practical things that we can do, and also many stories of people who have done this practice religiously for a year or more and noticed a tremendous change within themselves. Now you’ve recently announced the Wisdom Rising Mandala training program, so people can come to the Tara Mandala Retreat Centre in Colorado, and actually have training in this. LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Yes, and yesterday we launched the ‘Wisdom Rising Online’ program which is 13 hours of material with me and a couple of other teachers teaching. So, people don’t even need to come to Tara Mandala. We love to have people here, but not everyone can travel to southwest Colorado. So, they can sign up and take the
different parts when they want. There are certain times when I’ll be there, and other teachers will be online to teach or answer questions. So, it’s not completely art existing online, it has a wide life component. SANDRA SEDGBEER: wants to return to the Women’s March and the Me Too Movement for a moment because in ‘Wisdom Rising’ you wrote that it was almost as if the energy, cohesion, and momentum of the Women’s Marc began to dissipate in the weeks and months afterward. It seems to me that what you’ve done with ‘Wisdom Rising’ is to write a book that could become a rallying cry. It gives us the opportunity to take that energy and do something with it. It gives us a practical way to move forward. Are you finding that many people are also recognizing this in the book? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Yes. Actually, the book is already coming out in five languages in Europe, so it’s not a uniquely American phenomenon however the Women’s March was triggered by an American event. And,
yes, I think there are longing and a need for a deeper transformative practice, an inner practice, to match the out-moving energy – in this case of the Women’s Movement and so on. What do we have to draw on internally? So, it really goes beyond mindfulness and those quite simpler kinds of meditation into very specific empowerment that is connected to the mandala. We haven’t talked so much about the mandala today, but that’s really important because the very form of the mandala – the shape, the structure, the blueprint that the mandala presents – is a healing structure. It is a structure that is a circle divided into quadrants with a center, which is found all over the world in many cultures. So, by placing your mind into the mandala, which, by the way, has been proven in many scientific studies to be effective in healing the mind, the emotions, and people in trauma, and so on. So, that’s another aspect that’s in ‘Wisdom Rising,’ that is sustaining and healing for people to enter into the Omtimes.com
mandala and be able to draw from that energy of centering and these very powerful energies of the five Dakinis. So, I was thinking what if all those people who were at the March, which was at least five million on seven continents, what if all of them were doing the Dakini mandala practice? What would that do to catalyze change and healing in our world? So that’s my mission; to have all those people doing the mandala practices and having those resources to draw on. SANDRA SEDGBEER: It seems to me at this time in the world, where we’re seeing the degradation of women, the domination of marginalized groups, the destruction of the natural world, etc., that the fierce compassion of the Dakinis is needed more than ever. It almost feels to me as though there is something other than that is also driving this movement so that our consciousness is awakened. The yearning that you talk about is being stirred. The fires are being stoked within us. Do you feel that the Dakinis are participating in this process?
Omtimes.com
LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: (Laughter) Definitely. They definitely are. It’s an interesting thing that you said: it feels as if it is almost coming from somewhere else. Why now? It seems as if the moment has arrived and I don’t know why exactly or what happened. It’s happening in Buddhism, too. There’s a Me-Too Movement in Buddhism now, and that actually started before the MeToo Movement in Hollywood. So, it seems like this moment has arrived, that the tables are turning, and the feminine is stepping up. Some people say it’s because there are enough women in positions of power, and it’s something like 20%, for example, of Hollywood Producers are women then you’ll see a shift. It may be a matter of numbers and the gradual change and then a flip taking place. Who knows? But it is certainly happening, and the Dakinis are a resource from which we can draw. And, you know, the Dakini practice would be quite secret, and you wouldn’t get it so easily, but I decided to put it out there in this simplified form because I think these are urgent times and
we need to pull out all the stops and give the resources that we can to the world because the seed of destruction is increasing so quickly. SANDRA SEDGBEER: And the sense of urgency - even if people really don’t know what they’re feeling and why they’re feeling it – is palpable. I want to close with something you wrote: ‘This is a moment in history where we have been called upon to manifest the wisdom of the empowered feminine which, as we’ve seen, is historically respectful of the natural world, understanding the interdependence of humans and the world that surrounds us. Since the destiny of women and the destiny of nature have always been parallel, and since women are major proponents of ecological awareness, by women taking their power back and manifesting it in the world, our ecological situations will be subsequently transformed bringing balance, generating healing, and producing a culture of peace.’
That’s a beautiful statement., and a beautiful vision. How hopeful are you that we can and will achieve this? LAMA TSULTRIM ALLIONE: Well, I tend to be optimistic. There are certainly lots of things to be pessimistic about, but there’s a story of someone in Tibet who was building Stupas, these big mound-like structures, as the Chinese were on the other side of the mountain destroying them. Somebody said ‘Why are you doing this? They are just going to take it down. Next month this will be gone.’ He said, ‘It’s in the act and the effort of doing it.’ That’s a blessing in importance. “Wisdom Rising – Journey into the Mandala of the Empowered Feminine” is published by Simon and Schuster. Innovative new approaches to Healing as well as holistic methods for dealing with health issues and personal growth
Is Homeopathy appropriate for children? By OMTimes
Homeopathy for children is a therapy derived from alternative medicine. It is a practice that believes in administering minimal Omtimes.com
amounts of medication, which allows the body to educate itself so that activates its immune system, and, in this way, it helps the body to heal by itself. Homeopathy is an alternative medicine practice that uses drugs in low doses, but those do not have active chemical components. Homeopathy components tend to produce effects similar to the symptoms of the disease that one wishes to combat, which help to activate the natural metabolic action of the body. Homeopathy for children is considered as one of the popular alternate medical practice, consists of the use of a component called mother dye, which must be diluted in water. The more it is diluted, the better the results. The father of homeopathy,
Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, said the disease arises due to a transformation of the individual’s energetic core. The Homeopathy healing method is responsible for combating the patient’s infections, which develops precise and specific characteristics of his illness. The side effects and collateral damage produced by traditional medicines in children’s bodies and infants have led parents to resort to a second medical opinion, and to consider alternative therapeutical venues such as homeopathy to treat different diseases at the pediatric level, from episodes of asthma, diarrhea, mood swings to chronic allergies. Homeopathy and Children Homeopathy for children produces excellent results

because the immune system of the child is young and has not yet been exposed to chemical components. Allopathic remedies can many times deplete the body’s natural response. This natural medical practice is ideal to be used for prevention, since it strengthens the body’s natural defense disposition. The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated in its annual report that homeopathy is considered the second largest medical system in the world. This therapeutic technique is practiced in more than 66 countries today. Also, the study stated that the application and regulation of TCM Therapies (Traditional Complementary Medicine) contemplates other alternative medicine practices, such as Acupuncture, Phyto therapy,

Homeopathy, Osteopathy. According to the statistics, the European Commission currently, more than 100 million Europeans receive homeopathic medical attention. Also, most of the patients are infants and children, who increased the annual rate by 4% of the use of this medicinal technique. According to experts, homeopathic medicine produces excellent results in the treatment of diseases in children or babies. But before applying this type of medication, it is recommended that a specialist doctor in the area is consulted, and that is also trained and specialized in the pediatric field. Self-Medication is not recommended. Medical consultation: homeopathy for children
The medical consultation will consist of a complete evaluation of the child, with the purpose of conducting a detailed interview and assessment of the patient’s symptoms. Factors such as medical history, family history, temperament, food preferences and sleep pattern are considered by the specialist physician to create the clinical record of the child and determine the treatment that should be applied. The primary goal of the doctor is to restore the harmony of the child’s organism. It is vitally important to keep in mind the factors that have influenced pregnancy and childbirth as well as the child’s feeding and sleep cycle can be influeneced by them. The homeopathy procedures for children are favorable
not only for serious illnesses but also in the common diseases that children suffer. Studies indicate that this therapy is effective and recommended in the treatment of conjunctivitis, asthma, flu, colic, allergies, stomach discomfort, etc. It is essential to remember that parents should never self-medicate their children. It is necessary to consult the doctor for the implementation of homeopathic treatment, with the purpose of forming a diagnosis that is by the illness that the child suffers or adequately applying the medicine. The same homeopathic treatment should not be applied to all children. Each organism and diseases are different. Therefore, selfmedication and improper treatment can be harmful and even deadly for the child.

Bowenwork The Homeopathy of Bodywork
By Audra Werkheiser

OMTIMES
HEALTH AND HEALING
Bowenwork
His results were amazing. In 1974 the Victorian Government did a survey of alternative health practitioners, 85% of the 13,000+ sessions Mr. Bowen performed were completely resolved. Mr. Bowen allowed a few men to observe him while treating people. One of those men, Oswald (Ossie) Rentsch, took on the task of making Tom Bowen’s work known around the world. Today, Bowenwork is taught in over 30 countries.
Can the body be stimulated to heal itself? Bowen Practitioners believe it can. Bowenwork or Bowen Therapy is a soft tissue muscle relaxation technique that resets tension patterns around the body promoting relaxation and most importantly, healing.
Bowenwork was started in the 1950s in Geelong, Victoria, Australia by the late Thomas Bowen. He used a unique set of “moves” on different muscles and muscle groups around the body to reset tension patterns, allowing the body to heal itself
OMTIMES
Every Bowen session looks at the body as a whole, one may be complaining of a sore neck but, the Bowen practitioner will also work on the lower back or even the tailbone. Everything in our body is connected by a substance called fascia. When the fascia becomes stuck due to an injury or repetitive use, it begins to pull in the area of the injury. Bowenwork helps to “unstick” the facia so the muscles, bones, ligament, and tendons can reset and heal. However, Bowenwork is not limited to just structural issues, it’s extremely helpful for digestive and even some mental disorders. A few issues Bowenwork can help with are Allergies, ADD/ ADHD, back pain, knee pain, sprains and strains, carpal tunnel, headaches, insomnia, blood pressure, neck pain, depression, anxiety, and many more.
"Bowen Therapy is a soft tissue muscle relaxation technique that resets tension patterns around the body "
Because Bowenwork is such a gentle modality of bodywork, it is often referred to as the homeopathy of bodywork. A Bowen practitioner uses subtle moves on muscle groups, nerve endings and bundles, tendons and ligaments, acupuncture points and energetic pathways to healing issues. Some sessions will only last 20-30 minutes and may only include a few moves but, the results can be profound. The less is more idea is often implemented in Bowen sessions.
In contrast to other hands-on modalities, where the practitioner imposes correction on the client through manipulation, Bowenwork facilitates the body in healing itself, with minimal intervention. The Bowen session can affect the client for up to 10 days. It has this fantastic way of getting to the root of the problem and healing the issue over time. Quite often a client will leave their first session feeling like nothing has been done, but by morning it’s a whole other story. Exhaustion Epidemic? The day looks to be demanding, and your energy comes and goes, so you consume more caffeine and sugar—often in the form of pastries, candy or chocolate— perhaps you have a soda or one of those so-called “energy drinks” that are loaded with even more caffeine and sugar. Then, in the evening when you get home, you’re tired yet also a bit wired, so you have an alcoholic drink or two to relax, or you may use medical (or recreational) marijuana to calm down. You might even eat a bit too much to settle down, and then you go to bed with a half-full stomach. Perhaps, you use prescription or over-thecounter sleep aids that are plentiful and easily available. Even with all these uppers and downers, you still experience two of most common health issues of our time—fatigue, either chronic or short-lived, and sleep deprivation from insomnia. OMTIMES |OCTOBER B
You have trouble falling asleep, or toss and turn during the night, then wake up feeling tired and needing caffeine and sugar in the morning— starting the whole vicious cycle all over again. Does any of this sound familiar? That’s the Stimulation Sedation Syndrome in a nutshell. It’s extremely common; in fact, I believe it is an epidemic in our society, and very possibly in the entire westernized world. When I travel around the country doing presentations on integrative medicine or detox practices, I often ask my audiences if they recognize this syndrome and typically I find that the majority of them do—close to 80 percent by my count. They are using daily stimulants and sedatives and many of these people are fairly health conscious.
I find a similar pattern with the patients at my clinic in Northern California. They are habituated to stimulants and/or sedatives in order to function. Are you? If so, it’s time to get a handle on balancing your moods and energy. The Stimulation Sedation Syndrome really is an epidemic that compromises the health of many people in the US and the modern world. And because it is culturally acceptable in our busy, fast-paced society and working culture, and even encouraged and supported by commercials everywhere we look and listen, most of us don’t even realize what we are doing to ourselves because using these substances is so commonplace.
We don’t normally think of them as drugs, nor do we talk much about addiction in this context, but in truth, these daily habits, especially when maintained over many years, can seriously undermine the foundation of our health. Thus, we should take them quite seriously and, if we can, try to take a break and restore some balance, which allows us to begin to see the relationship we have to our favorite substances. Are they supporting or undermining our health? I SUGGEST PEOPLE BEGIN WITH A SIMPLE ASSESSMENT OF THEIR LIFESTYLE HABITS AND THEN CREATE A PLAN OF ACTION TO ADDRESS THEIR CONSUMPTION OF SUBSTANCES AND FOODS THAT ARE NOT REALLY BENEFITTING THEM. ARE YOU WILLING TO TAKE AN HONEST LOOK AT YOUR LIFESTYLE HABITS, WITH THE IDEA THAT THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF YOUR WORLD TO SUPPORT YOUR HEALTH POTENTIAL?
OMTIMES |OCTOBER B
At the very least you may consider making a temporary change, just to give your body a break as a first step and give yourself an opportunity to see if you can feel better with just some simple changes. Our sleep, or lack of it, is one of the first places we see the results of disrupting our natural energy patterns with stimulants and sedatives. Sleep is a key factor in our overall health — one that is often ignored in deference to getting everything done or to late-night activities, such as TV, computer or phone time.

OMTIMES |OCTOBER B
Some reports suggest that over half of Americans experience sleep deprivation with multiple negative health outcomes. These include increased risk for infections, heart disease, depression, impaired cognitive functions, and a greater chance for accidents. Have you imagined what it would it be like if you slept really well and woke up feeling energized with natural excitement for your day —without the need for stimulants? What if you weren’t so stressed at the end of the day and could relax naturally and sleep deeply? Truly, many of us have lost touch with how we might feel without stimulating and sedating substances. We’ve lost touch with our Natural Energy. We continue to rely on the stimulants day after day and don’t realize our bodies could use a break. Even just a short break can help you get back to your natural rhythms and energy cycles. The goal is to stay in better harmony with any substance relationship and be aware of how it affects us. It’s possible to use caffeine, alcohol, sugar and/or cannabis in positive ways that support our life and even benefit our health. Look at what’s happening with the explosion of medical cannabis products available, and the many conditions and people they are helping. Health is our greatest wealth. Health is ENERGY! Imagine it as your bank account for life. Are you making regular health-andvitality-enhancing deposits, or just withdrawals that deplete your health assets? Imagine living on your own intrinsic energy and tuning into your real cycles for sleep and daily activities, which includes adapting to the changing seasons. I want you to rediscover this genuine natural energy and vitality that you have the potential to experience!

Simply Spiritual To perceive reality from a different perspective is to open oneself to the wonders and unlimited wealth of creation. Simply Spiritual offers the opportunity to visit new places, new methods, and different ways to perceive the vast human knowledge of our Universe.
COSMIC SPIRITUALITY By Judy Carroll
My name is Judy Carrol. In 1952 I incarnated on Earth as part of a universal “rescue corps” to serve as an ambassador between two planetary cultures – Humans Omtimes.com
of Earth and Zeta Greys. I operate through a “blended soul” consciousness that enables me to work in both human cultures, and act as a go-between to assist deeper understanding through communication. I wrote about my journey as a Zeta Grey on Earth in The Zeta Message: Connecting All Beings in Oneness, and in Human by Day, Zeta by Night. I’ve done many interviews and questions such as Do the ETs believe in God? and Is spirituality acknowledged by other planetary cultures? are often asked. According to my understanding—and I’ve studied this quite a lot— all higher evolved universal cultures experience life from a spiritual rather than a religious perspective. What does it mean to live life from a spiritual rather than a religious perspective? The primary difference is that spirituality is a state of consciousness, not dependent upon religious dogma or an intermediary priesthood
or another go-between. Religion was initially introduced on Planet Earth to provide clear and firm guidelines to assist the young and newly created Earthhuman species in developing in the right direction, which is why religions have specific rules or commandments. These rules are designed to teach self-discipline and are often culturally, rather than spiritually, based. These rules were good, and they still are for many Earth humans. Unfortunately, religion has been misused and badly exploited over the millennia by the Repterran Controllers. A religion can be a belief system based on dogma, with an intermediary priesthood and set rituals. Spirituality is a more personalized state of consciousness. The two can go together, but not necessarily. A person can be religious without being spiritual, and a person can be spiritual without being religious. Plus, a person can be both religious and
Omtimes.com
spiritual. Religion doesn’t always assist the human evolutionary process, but it can. In some cases, it can even block it. However, spirituality is a more direct route to human evolution Higher cultures refer to God as Source or Oneness, and are able to consciously access this Source Energy, so they don’t need to rely upon faith and belief in a “God” figure, or any being to intercede for them. They understand clearly that this energy is within, and can be tapped into in full conscious awareness. Unlike many Earthlings who are trapped within the limits of third-dimensional perception, most off-planet people are consciously aware that every living being in creation is an intrinsic part of this supreme Creative Energy Source—there is no separation in the greater cosmic reality. This is why they refer to God as Oneness. We are all part of this same God/ Source Consciousness which permeates the whole universe
Omtimes.com
on multi-dimensional levels. God is not a physical being sitting up on a heavenly cloud, as portrayed by Earthplane religious art. God is an omnipresent and omniscient Energy/Consciousness that could be likened to an allpowerful sun at the very center of the universe whose rays penetrate and give life to the whole system, holding everything together in Oneness. From what I understand, the real meaning behind “man being created in the image of God” is that in the greater reality we are all omnipresent and omniscient energy (soul), and living in a very small part of Life which experiences existence in physical forms. We here on Earth call them bodies, and ETs refer to bodies as “soul containers.” (In case you follow them, ETs come in such a variety of containers that fit their planetary association and purposes.)
To clarify this concept further, the “Human Ladder” is a term used by the Greys for the path or cycle of evolution followed by all humantype species throughout the universe. (A key to remember here is that the Human Kingdom is seen throughout the universe, just as the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms are.) The Human Ladder is comprised of ten “galactic levels,” which are not physical levels but rather ascending and expanding levels of conscious awareness and awakening. The Human Ladder is also a path of self-realization. Earth-plane humanity is on the very first level— the bottom “rung of the ladder”—with the average Earth human able to access about 10 percent of their potential conscious awareness. The other 90 percent is hidden away on sub- or super-conscious levels of the psyche. For an Earth human to be able to access even a small part of these
deeper levels, an altered state such as meditation or hypnosis is generally required. We can compare this to an iceberg, with only 10% of its bulk visible above the surface of the ocean and the rest hidden away beneath the surface. The 10% of conscious awareness that we can access is intrinsically linked into the amount of active DNA, so in order for a human consciousness to “ascend the Ladder” and evolve further, more DNA needs to be activated, which is exactly what contact with ETs is all about. This is also the reason for the genetic work being carried out by the ETs. The so-called “Star Children” being produced through this program are a more upgraded Earth human species in the process of stepping up to level 2 of the Human Ladder, hence their enhanced abilities and sensitivity. This genetic work is vital, as Earth herself evolves from 4th to 5th
Omtimes.com
world consciousness, and so humanity must also evolve in order to remain in synch with the planet. This path of evolution will eventually open us to full (100%) conscious awareness and total conscious melding into the Oneness of Source Energy. This involves reincarnation over the span of many lives, through which a gradual refining and leavening process takes place in our energy frequency, shifting our consciousness from the illusion of separation and duality into a state of oneness with Source. To put this into Earthly religious terms, our path of reincarnation is a journey “home to God.” Despite what some think, spirituality is not about being psychic or clairvoyant; it is not about reciting prayers by rote or robotically performing rituals, however sometimes when done consciously, one can experience great spirituality. And it is not necessarily about being
Omtimes.com
a “healer” or a “seer” or being able to do astral travel (which everybody does every night during the sleep state). Spirituality is simply about trying to the best of your ability to practice unconditional love and to do unto others as you would have them do unto you, which is found in the core of many different religions. And this applies throughout the cosmos—it is not just for humans of Earth. Spirituality is about acknowledging the God Essence within, and so honoring and respecting yourself, and acknowledging, honoring and respecting this self-same God Essence Cosmic spirituality recognises soul/consciousness in other life-forms. This sentient conscious awareness is present in all kingdoms. Acknowledging this is the key to off-planet technology and the understanding that science and religion/ spirituality are One. ET ships are sentient beings whose consciousness is intrinsically linked into the consciousness
of the crew. Evolution is always driven by the need for change — the need to shift existence from the ocean to dry land, the need to develop lungs in order to be able to breathe out of water and the need to adapt to walking on two legs rather than on four. The step that came after that for the human kingdom was the need to develop reasoning power in order to exercise free will, and the next step upwards, which is happening right now, involves coming to fully conscious self-realization of the God Source Energy within each one of us. This understanding enables a human being to evolve from animal human to cosmic human by choosing love over fear. Once this next evolutionary step is achieved on Planet Earth, warfare will cease to exist. At that point in time the human species of Earth will earn their right to cosmic citizenship, and it is the task and privilege of the creator beings to assist this process, as they have with
countless other planetary cultures. Although it may not seem so right now, people are waking up. It will happen, but it all takes time. Judy Carroll is the author of Extraterrestrial Presence on Earth, The Zeta Message and Human by Day, Zeta by Night. Judy introduced her life-long connections to the Zeta Greys in her first two books. In her new book, Extraterrestrial Presence on Earth, she reveals that she is a “blended” soul whose conscious awareness spans two planetary connections— both Earth human and Zeta Grey. Judy’s mission, along with other blended souls now incarnated as Earth humans, is to be an inter-planetary ambassador, introducing more clarity and deeper understanding of what has happened here in the past, offering understanding of present time global events, and providing guidance on how to heal our future as a planetary civilization. The Secret of Mantra Chanting By indiadivine.org
Mantras – Sound vibrations that permeate every cell of your being and allow your mind to dissolve and repose. But what are they? What do they mean? Where did they come from? What are the many questions surrounding these ancient syllables?
Omtimes.com
Speaking about Mantras is the revelation of ancient secrets that have been kept sacred from several ages, secrets that continue to benefit humanity irrespective of its circumstances. What are the Mantras? Mantras are impulses or rhythms of the consciousness. They create vibrations in the spirit. Their effects, influence, method, and mode of working are all a mystery. The mantra is that which saves you from repetitiveness. A repetitive thought is a worry. Mantras help to free you from your worries. Often, we wonder why we chant some sounds without understanding their meanings? Can something beyond our understanding help us? The meaning of every mantra is infinity. It is a sound vibration beyond the cognition of the mind. When the mind is unable to cognize, it simply dissolves and moves into a meditative space. How Mantras Affect the Mind? The mantra is like a seed. Every
seed has the potential to become a tree. Similarly, these sound vibrations contain all the possibilities of creation. Some mantras are in the seed form, called the bija mantras. Others are fully expressed, i.e., the fruit of the mantra is also expressed, such as the Gayatri mantra. Mantras are a secret. That which is kept a secret alert the sub-conscious mind. The mantras work at the level of the consciousness. When we want a seed to sprout, it needs to be sewn into the soil, hidden, a secret. If it is simply thrown around, birds may eat them up. We can read and learn about mantras and their uses from books and the internet, but that will only satisfy the intellect and not translate into experience. Mantra and Meditation When we chant the mantras or listen to them, we get purity of mind and word. This prepares us for meditation. As a result of the sound vibrations, different patterns of the mind re-arrange themselves to become tranquil. Agitation is reduced, helping us to turn inward. For instance,

when we laugh, our happiness increases.
Self? How is this going to help in our day-to-day life?
When we cry, the heaviness of our sorrow is released. Just the sounds of laughter and crying have helped. Mantras act similarly. Repetition of the Mantras creates a psychological or mental response that is very deep and beyond the realm of words or expression. It can only be experienced. Speech falls short as it cannot go beyond the expression level into the experiential level.
When the river is calm, the reflection is clearer. When the mind is calm, there is greater clarity in the field of expression. Our sense of observation, perception, and expression improve. As a result, we are able to communicate effectively and clearly.
When the mind is calm and centered, it can turn inward. Only a mind turned inward can experience the vastness and beauty of the Divine consciousness. When our focus is outward on the objects of the senses, our mind is scattered and racing behind one craving or another. Physical senses seek to know all about the external universe. Meditation is the tool for inner exploration. Mantras are the tools which allow the mind to dissolve and repose in the Self. Why should we repose in the
Omtimes.com
Most of our problems or misunderstandings arise because of a lack of proper communication. When our mind is free from agitation, the way we interact and communicate is so much more pleasant and effective. Our efforts are not hindered by rifts caused due to communication gaps. This leads to a lot of positivity in our outlook and progress in life. Mantras are as subtle as the air which creates ripples in the water as it gently moves over it. Air is all-pervading and at the same time affects specific regions. The field of the mantras is also such. It is all –pervading and also creates an impact on the one who is practicing.

Is Your Child an Indigo Child? By OMTimes
How do I know if my child is an indigo child? It is difficult to say whether a child is an indigo or not since this term lacks anextensive scientific basis. Omtimes.com
It is a concept that arose from a cognitive argument that began in the early eighties. It is believed that these children are the product of intellectual and spiritual evolution, reflected in patterns of behavior different from the ordinary children until that moment. Psychically, people call Indigo children the ones that present hues of the indigo color around their auras. Not all parents even wonder if their child is indigo because it is a theory that was not widespread enough among the various sectors of society. It is possible that we have a child with the characteristics of indigo, but we learn to deal without it becoming a more significant problem. In fact, it is not obligatory for us to know about this ‘condition” because, whether or not our child is an indigo child, the important thing is to raise
them with love and kindness. That way, only those who have somehow had contact with the term ask themselves if there are any indigo children in their family. You are likely to begin to relate the characteristics of these extraordinary beings to people we know and even identify with. How to spot an indigo child? “Have no fear, most of the Indigo children that are struggling are the children that have had a very difficult time trying to live up to societies Indigo myth that developed around them” –Tasha Heart Accordingly, not all children who have indigo characteristics are really indigo children. We often confuse these characteristics with those that originate
Omtimes.com
in childhood and the environment in which children develop. However, if we suspect that our child may be one of these individuals, it is possible that by comparing such characteristics we can find the answer. Indigo children can be: They are Intuitive. This aspect is related to a supposed different brain structure, which makes the child perceive some things that others do not comprehend or are aware of. Indigos tend to demonstrate great self-assurance, a self -Image clearly. Generally, this feature is confused with arrogance or airs of superiority. These children have a high level of imagination. They show a high degree of creativity in the things they

do, so routine tasks allow their fantasies to fly and do not make them bored. These children have difficulty following orders or having an affinity with authority figures. They consider themselves independent in their actions and decisions. They are brilliant and have the skills to solve technological problems or things that may seem incomprehensible to some of the adults. They manifest characteristic signs of overactive children, such as sleeping little, staying active even without rest, and sometimes have loud crying. Usually, these children do not like going to school. This feature is related to the fact that they are independent, are not good at receiving instructions and do not like routines.
They may present some difficulty relating to most of their peers and to other children, as they become so different that they lack empathy. It is believed that only two indigos can be great friends.
troubles with its thin hand.” –Vadim Babenko, Semmant
It is quite common that nothing seems appropriate in their opinion, for they are nonconformist and capricious. In, general, Indigos are very frank and usually ask for extensive explanations on any subject to fully comprehend any request that is made.
We are not aware of the existence of any test or evaluation that would identify an Indigo child, but this is not a totally necessary thing because it is not a disease or some condition that requires treatment. The only significant difficulty parents can be one of not knowing how to raise them, or how to treat them. However, the important thing is to be tolerant and loving to our children, whether indigo or not.
Some are rebellious and only strive for things that interest them. “Once again I realized: the aura of Indigo does not save and does not protect. It can become a magic carpet, turn into seven-league boots or a heavy cross – but it’s not a guardian angel to deflect
It is imperative to try to nurture your desire to learn and stimulate the development of your skills, as inappropriate treatment can frustrate them. They are very sensitive and are often misunderstood by their parents, who do not share their emotional characteristics.

Relationships The interconnectiveness among all human beings and, consequently, the relationships among us are the focus of this section. The dynamics of the web of connections we make is one of the most prominent aspects of human existence: how we interlace with each other’s existence in a meaningful way.
When Twin Flames Have Different Destinies By Ascending Hearts Serendipity is the cause of many incredible opportunities and coincidences, many of these serendipitous moments are responsible for the meeting
Omtimes.com
of connected and familiar’s souls, such as Twin souls and even twin flames. It is not a secret to say that many connected souls are living very different lives and may also have a different life mission during their present incarnation on Earth. They are souls who meet in a moment and come to share with a short fragment of time, months or even unforgettable years. However, like a house of cards, everything can be eventually destroyed by the wind. If You both were, in your opinion, the perfect couple, but for strange reasons, everything was lost, maybe you met on the same platform of life, but with passages to different life destinations. Sometimes, just to love alone is not enough to sustain a genuine relationship, even if the other
soul is the spiritual reflection of yours. Sometimes there is an irreconcilable distortion and high costs, almost impossible to maintain. There are impossible loves that make us live perfect fragments, in a brief and intense, but that from the beginning already come with an expiration date. The importance of taking risks and having experiences in life A life without risk is an unlived life. You may know from the outset that some experiences can come with a high cost, be it emotional or financial; you may also be aware that getting out of your comfort zone, of what is acknowledged and safe, will bring about the uncertainty of “not knowing and the risk of committing not just one, but several errors. The risk is to lose balance, but each misstep also
Omtimes.com
teaches you how to rise from the fall and how to walk with more confidence. The same applies to our relationships, where no one has the manual on how to be perfect. No one comes to this world destined to be a real guru of love, immune to suffering; therefore, it is worth considering these different relationship dimensions. Is it true that there are “soul mates”? It is possible that as you read the title of this article, you have thought that there are, in fact, soul mates and that they never follow different directions because souls are alike and are they predestined to be together forever. Make no mistake, do not jump at anything without a parachute. Perfect love does not exist, because Love requires work day after day, facing the high costs that a relationship
Omtimes.com
brings, and demanding a lot of investment of time and efforts. And yet, sometimes love is not the only answer to all problems, nor is it the answer to all our doubts. It is not even the bridge that will cover all our emotional gaps. There are great loves condemned to cause great suffering. The reason? There are many: lack of understanding, selfishness, the immaturity of one or both parties, different interests and different Karmic lessons to be learned. Fate sometimes provides lovely opportunities for encounters with people who look “perfect,” but sometimes love comes with a close-by date. It is a companion soul with whom we share time, enjoying every minute, every second. But always remember that your soul mate must be yourself; you have to give yourself love and care every day to continue to maintain
your personal balance with every step you take. The importance of taking risks in love Sometimes there is something within us that tells us that our relationship will not be continued for long, that it will bring us suffering, that everything will be brief and perhaps even painful. So, will we make a mistake if we take the risk? Certainly not. It will not be a long relationship, as you already intuit, but you must set boundaries and remember to protect your self-esteem. Love is an adventure worth living, and it is likely that if you decide to let go of this opportunity, you will regret your whole life for not taking risks, not having run to the “platform” boarding and hugging this person. What will happen next nobody knows. Whether
it will last for the rest of your life or if it will end so briefly the more intense it is lived ... it may even cause much more suffering than happiness, but it’s all worth it. It is life, it is time for learning, time to vibrate, time to laugh and cry. The pains you will have later will be healed day after day, but without a doubt, they could be more painful for the regret of not having risked, for remembering a love that did not happen. This is the book of our lives, and as such we must write it every day. There is no love without risk; Those who do not venture do not live, those who do not try courageously do not see the reward. Although the relationship with our “possible” soul mate may not last long, be sure that this love will be with you, forever in your memory, and will be dear to your soul.

Three Ways to Fulfill the Beautiful Purpose of All Your Relationships By Guy Finley
All of our relationships, particularly with those we love, exist for a single beautiful purpose that expresses itself in two different ways. First, our partner – whether spouse,
Omtimes.com
that “special” someone, or even a would-be companion – is in our life to help us grow; to provide just the conditions we need to become that better, truer person that they see in us, just waiting to be brought forth. But the other and equally important half of this same purpose and promise – without which the first part can’t be realized – is as follows: our partner is also there in our life to help us see everything in us that now stands in the way of our realizing this same higher possibility.
behavior that literally drives you up a wall?
Here are three ways to use difficult situations with your partner to help you fulfill the true purpose of your relationships.
The next time you want to jump on your partner for a misstep, try this: instead of unconsciously remembering all the reasons you have for opposing them in that moment, do your level best to remember where and how you have missed the mark in a similar way. Consciously choosing to recollect your similarity with your partner’s character not only disarms the part of you about to pounce upon it, but this level of self-honesty also dispels the illusion of difference imagined between the two of you, replacing it with a compassionate consideration born of wisdom and love.
#1 – See Your Secret Similarity With Your Partner Do you have a negative reaction every time you see your partner do something stupid, especially a repeated
#2 – Speak Up Without Attacking Does your partner do things that make you so angry? And then you wonder if it’s wrong for you to step up and to speak your mind
Omtimes.com
about how you feel? It’s not wrong to speak up, but realize there’s a big difference between bringing up an issue, some concern you have with your partner, and striking back at them in pain over what you would blame them for. In other words, it’s not so much what you say, but “who” – what part of you– starts talking for you in that moment. Here’s one good way to ensure that you choose the right time for engaging your partner over any problem brewing between the two of you: wait, patiently – even if it takes twenty-four hours –until whatever part of you that feels compelled to blame, or that wants to complain, subsides. By following these instructions, you’ll be aware of your negative state, instead of acting as its unconscious instrument.
Omtimes.com
#3 – Take Responsibility for Your Own Emotions Does it seem like your partner likes to fight? Try as you may to stay detached, they always manage to drag you into an argument, and you wonder how you can get them to see what they’re doing to your relationship. But let’s be honest here. Blaming someone else’s anger for our inability to remain above and untouched by its negative influence is like resenting a rain cloud for getting us wet when we walk outside and into its downpour. The only thing that can drag us into a fight with our partner, regardless of what they want to fight with us over, is an in-the-dark part of us that’s secretly been waiting for a good fight. If you really want to stop fighting, and free both of you at the same time, then set the following
intention, here and now, as if your life depends on it: no matter what, refuse to climb into the ring the next time they want to rumble. The more you’re able to observe these parts of yourself that are so easily enticed to fight, the clearer it will become who you can no longer afford to be. And once you’re able to stay out of the ring, then who is left there for your partner to fight with? No longer having any opponent, your partner will be able to see – and hopefully set down – the same parts in them that you did. Peace will fall onto your house. Lingering Childhood Trauma Can Manifest As Conflict In The Workplace If you recognize someone like this at your workplace, you might be better off looking for a job somewhere else. Marcia Sirota Author, speaker, coach and MD
Childhood trauma could potentially have long-lasting consequences in our lives, especially if we don’t realize that we’ve experienced it. Our childhood is our

“normal,” so it can be difficult to recognize when things are happening that shouldn’t be. And even when we do realize that bad things have happened to us, we may not see that we’ve been traumatized, or that this trauma has affected different aspects of our personal or professional lives. One of the ways the consequences of childhood trauma can be seen is in how people interact with each other in the workplace. In the workplace, there are different types of relationships that we enter into. There’s the relationship between boss and employee, or the relationship between two or more colleagues. If you’re someone who constantly finds yourself in conflict with your supervisors, your employees and/or your colleagues, you might want to consider the possibility that you have childhood trauma. This trauma can take
many forms, including mistreatment, exploitation, abuse, or a lack of approval or love — and it can adversely affect how individuals interact with other people at work. Some can be overly helpful people-pleasers, or doormats who are too tolerant of disrespect. Others can be self-sacrificing workaholics who end up burnt out or, if severely traumatized, can be filled with so much old rage toward their abusers that they take out this anger on their supervisors and/or colleagues today. The more they try to please, the more these people are disrespected, and even held in contempt by the other people at their workplace. Lack of love or approval Some people with childhood trauma is people-pleasers, constantly care-taking and doing too much for others. They please and care-take in the hopes of finally obtaining the love and
Omtimes.com
approval they were lacking in their childhood. They don’t realize that being a pleaser won’t bring them positive regard or heal their emotional wounds.
trauma has grown up being mistreated, so they assume that this is all that they “deserve” or all that they can expect of their colleagues and supervisors.
Whether as a boss or a colleague, these people avoid conflict and try to curry favour with everyone around them. Interestingly, the more they try to please, the more these people are disrespected, and even held in contempt by the other people at their workplace. These are the individuals in the workplace who are taken for granted, taken advantage of and sometimes even bullied.
If you’re constantly being mistreated by the other people at work, you may need to examine your past for signs of mistreatment, and for obvious or subtle messaging that you “should” tolerate it.
If you have a history of being disrespected or bullied in one workplace after another, you may be a people-pleaser. If so, you’ll need to see that the bullying won’t stop until you give up this bad habit. Mistreatment Some people with childhood
Omtimes.com
Exploitation Some people with childhood trauma were exploited by their care-givers and believe, as adults, that the only way to fit in at work is to do too much. These individuals will take on the projects that no one else wants to tackle; they’ll do another people’s work and they’ll overwork until they burn out, believing incorrectly that this is what they’re “meant” to do.
If you recognize yourself in this behavior, it might be time to explore your past for the possibility of childhood trauma in the form of exploitation. They’re so deeply wounded that they end up just like their “role models” — the abusive adults who hurt them as children. Abuse Some individuals with childhood trauma end up behaving like the people who abused them in the past. They’re so deeply wounded that they end up just like their “role models” — the abusive adults who hurt them as children — becoming nasty, disruptive, even toxic adults in their workplaces. If you recognize a boss or a colleague who’s behaving in an abusive or disruptive manner in the workplace, it’s quite possible that they experienced childhood
trauma in the form of abuse. Unfortunately, they’re unlikely to be open to your help or advice on this matter. People who are abusive for any reason have the potential for being tremendously destructive to your personal life or your career, so they must be approached with great caution. If possible, they should be avoided altogether. If you recognize someone like this at your workplace, you might be better off looking for a job somewhere else. It’s clear that childhood trauma can manifest in a variety of ways in the workplace. If you see yourself in any of these behaviours, it might be time to speak to a therapist about your past, so that you can finally find healing and begin to improve the quality of your interactions at work.

THE SCREWS ARE COMING LOOSE THAT BIND THE SOUL OF HUMANITY by Marguerite Dar Boggia
The good news is that humanity is responding to the energies of the Cosmos through the constellations and especially through the planets, Uranus and Pluto. Humanity yearns for justice, freedom, integrity, and Truth. People are demonstrating all over the world for change to these values. We are told that humanity is the disciple, who must endure Omtimes.com
tests and trials to reach the mountaintop of mastership. The shackles of arrogance, selfishness, self-interest, selfimportance, sense of superiority and pride are the burdens that weigh it down on its climb to the temporary high plateau of goodwill and freedom. Even though some unwise leaders incite discord, each generation rejects the bigotry
of race, religion, and creed. They perceive the corruption of its leaders and the NO CHOICE of candidates. They are weary of wars, new deadly particle beam missiles, drones, and violence. War may be good for the military-industrial complex, but it devastates not only the health and possible destruction of the planet but the health of humanity. Hatred is energy. It creates a miasma on the invisible etheric dimensions, which affect the immune system. The madness of desire for Global Domination for One World to control humanity will defeat its own pursuits. The Laws of the Cosmos cannot be dismissed or prevented. Henry Kissinger said whoever controls the media controls the people. Whoever controls the money, controls the world.1 This is destined to change! David Wilcock in his book: The Source Field Investigations writes that ancient legends have forecasted problems in government and society including wars, famines, corruption, and changes in the earth, but after a messianic figure appears, the forces of materialism are defeated and
“the Krita (Golden) Age will begin again. And the stars and stellar conjunctions will become auspicious. And the planets, duly revolving in their orbits, will become exceedingly propitious. And all around, there will be prosperity and abundance and health and peace. Hindu and Zoroastrian sages have forecasted a Golden Age for humanity.2 This is our destiny. Today the messianic figure mentioned in these ancient scriptures is now on earth working behind the scenes. He needs millions of people in every major city demonstrating on the streets for peace based on justice, goodwill, and freedom. I believe this will happen within the next twenty or fifteen years when the younger generation will demand change. Then the Cabal known as the Global Elite3 will acknowledge defeat. A new economic system will be put in place by the Masters, based on sharing the resources of the earth. The major banks and the Federal Reserve system will not be used. Each nation will give and will receive what it needs. Assisting the messianic figure, are our beneficent Brothers on Omtimes.com
other planets, called the E.T. to wit: the extra-terrestrials. They want more disclosure by the Cabal of their presence and of the space travel, time travel, teleportation, etc. now under the control of the Cabal.4
An Avatar is a divine figure. Sai Baba had millions of devotees and was an Avatar. Scientists from Harvard visited him in India. They said: “If you are a divine being, create a rainbow, and we will believe.” Sai Baba smiled, bent his head for a minute and then said: “Look up!” There was a rainbow in the sky. This was demonstrated before 6,000 of his devotees.5 The mainstream media is silent on these news items. While Sai Baba was born in a human body, the Lord Maitreya created his own body, called a mayavirupa. Bullets can do Him no harm. The Lord Maitreya holds the position of the World Teacher. He is a planetary Avatar. The Buddha held that Omtimes.com
position until his illumination, when the present World Teacher, the Lord Maitreya took his place. The Occidentals call him the “Christ.”6 If the Lord Maitreya is the messianic Kalki figure and is now in the world, why have we not heard of him or seen him? The Cabal knows of his presence, but do not wish to make known his presence. They control the mainstream media. They will do so at the right time when the demand for his presence is great. The only picture we have of Maitreya is when he suddenly appear ed in Nairobi, Kenya in June 1988, at a healing gathering of six thousand people. The editor of the newspaper was present and took this picture. There were many healings, and the people recognized him as the Christ. More of his pictures can be found on my website under “Masters.” He can appear as a female, a child, an old man or whatever he wishes since he is an AVATAR. Only the Buddhists knew his personal name which is Maitreya.6a David Wilcock, who is informed by NASA whistle-blowers and by government contractors, wrote The Ascension Mysteries. In that
book, Wilcock states that our solar system will be entering a high energy cloud that “is expected to trigger a dramatic evolutionary event on Earth, including an epic solar energy release of some kind.”7 This will probably coincide with the start of the Golden Age, when the Lord Maitreya overshadows all of humanity, and he brings with Him, not only some of the Great Ones and the Masters, but some of the Devas (called Angels by the church) who stand to the deva evolution as the Masters to the human evolution. All of the Masters and their disciples will again live with us on earth, as they did millions of years ago.8 We cannot imagine how their great Love, will change the vibrations and the aura of humanity. It will be the foretold kingdom of heaven on earth. The ascended Tibetan Master, Djwhal Kuhl, wrote through Alice A. Bailey using mental telepathy. In their book Esoteric Psychology I, he wrote that “human evolution is but one of many. This is a period of crisis among the devas likewise. (the Church calls ‘devas’ Angels). The call has gone forth for them to approach humanity and with
their heightened vibration and superior knowledge, unite their forces with those of humanity for the progression of the two evolutions. They have much to impart about color and sound and their effect upon the etheric bodies of man and animals. When that which they have to give is apprehended by the race, physical ills will be nullified, and attention will be centered upon the infirmities of the astral or emotional body. They will instruct in the effect of color in the healing of disease, especially the effect of the violet light in the lessening of human ills and in the cure of those physical plane sicknesses which have their origin in the etheric, (invisible subtle) body. They will teach men to see etherically, by heightening human vibration by the action of their own. They will also teach the sounding of the tones that correspond to the gradations of violet and through that sounding enable man to utilize the ethers, as he now utilizes physical plane matter for his various needs. They will enable human beings so to control the ethers that weight will be for them transmuted, and motion will be intensified, becoming more Omtimes.com
rapid, more gliding, noiseless and therefore less tiring. In the human control of the etheric levels lie the lessening of fatigue, rapidity of transit and the ability to transcend time. They will also teach men how rightly to nourish the body and to draw from the surrounding ethers the requisite food. Man will in the future concentrate more on the sound condition of the etheric body, the functioning of the dense physical body will become practically automatic. They will enable human beings as a race, and not as individuals, to expand their consciousness so that it will embrace the superphysical. In the accomplishment of this, the WEB that divides the physical plane from the astral or emotional plane will be discovered by scientists, and its purpose will eventually be acknowledged. With that discovery will come the power to penetrate the web and so link up consciously with the astral body. Another material unification will have been accomplished. 8 The development of free energy will enable man to utilize electrical energy for the regulation of his everyday life in Omtimes.com
a way as yet incomprehensible. It will produce new methods of illuminating and heating the world at a small cost. Intuition will be developed using the knowledge of sound vibration, and the higher mathematics. Music, as a means to be employed in the building and destroying, will be recognized, and the laws of levitation and of rhythmic movement in all forms, from an atom to a solar system, will be studied. The healing of the etheric body will be by force utilization and solar radiation. Healing will fall practically into two departments: Vitalization using electricity and solar and planetary radiation and curative process through occult knowledge of the force centers and the work of the devas of the fourth ether. Transportation will be through the air of large bodies, using instantaneous use of the energy inherent in the ether itself. The immediate effect of this greater etheric energy will be that a numerically larger number of people will possess etheric vision and will be able normally to live consciously on etheric levels. The laws of fire will be gradually permitted exoteric publication. There are
twenty-seven occult laws. In them are summed up the basic laws of color, of music and of rhythm. When music produces warmth and when pictures glow or reveal he subjective within the objective, then will this civilization be coming to fruition.9 Life on our planet will be transformed into a glorious Shangri-La, where KINDNESS is the prominent creed of behavior. A Universal Language of Music - Hidden in the Hebrew Torah By Jill Matson
Judaism is a set of religious beliefs and practices that originated from the Hebrew Bible. The first five books of the Bible are known collectively as the Torah - the five books of Moses. In Judaism, it is believed that there are seventy layers of meaning encrypted within them. Omtimes.com
Uri Harel, a Harvard Universitytrained teacher of the language of ancient Hebrew, believes that one of the seventy layers of meaning is music. So, in 1977, this Biblical scholar began to explore and dissect the language. He wanted to find a formula that would unlock the
musical patterns he believes was encrypted in these original Hebrew texts. After dedicating years of research Harel assigned a specific frequency to each of the letters in the Hebrew alphabet using a scheme that is grounded in the science of Gematria. When he did this to the words of the Hebrew Bible, he discovered beautiful classically arranged compositions. Harel recorded the beautiful music he has found in these books. But, when the books are translated from Hebrew into any other language, the information, knowledge, and understanding of these texts are diminished to such an extent that it becomes impossible to duplicate the musical effect. “We have opened the way for a new kind of Bible translation, not into yet another spoken language, but into the Universal Language of Music. Uri Harel. Also found hidden in the Old Testament is a frequency code, for the upliftment of humanity! In the Old Testament, Numbers 7:12 - 89, a seemingly unimportant text, is divided
into mundane activities that occurred on different days. To get the solfeggio tones the Pythagorean skein [1] is applied to the numbers of the associated verses on the different days. For example, verse 12 describes activities that occurred on the first day. Verse 12 has a Pythagorean skein of 12 or 1 +2 = 3. The second day starts on verse 18 or 1 + 8 = 9. The third day is located on verse 24 or 2 + 4 = 6. The first set of numbers in the solfeggio code is composed of combining the Pythagorean skeins, resulting in 396. When applying the same process to the rest of the chapter, the following set of numbers emerge Solfeggio Scale: 396, 417, 528, 639, 741. [1] In the system of the Pythagorean skein, individual numbers are added up and ultimately reduced to the numbers 1 through 9. For example, the number 245 equates to 2 + 4 + 5 = 11. With the number 11: 1 + 1 = 2. The Pythagorean skein for the number 245 is 2. Omtimes.com
Do you suffer from Cassandra Complex? By Humanity Healing
The Spiritual-Psychic community tends to accept the intuition and the messages from channelers as a parallel form of news and guidance. Anyone working
Omtimes.com
with spirit may one time, or another felt drawn to this ancient archetype. Cassandra’s complex draws the profile of someone who thinks they can predict the future but feels unable to change it. This curious phenomenon can torment those who suffer from it, making predictions in which others do not believe. In Greek mythology, Kassandra was one of the princesses of Troy, daughter of Priam and Hecuba. According to the legends, she was a beautiful woman who was blessed with the gift of seeing the future. However, this ability was accompanied by a curse: no one would believe her. Because of this, Cassandra could anticipate the outcome of many disastrous events, such as the acceptance of the famous
Greek horse by the Trojans. Cassandra’s family thought she was crazy and did not believe her crazy story about the Greeks’ intentions to attack the city. Of course, the more than famous story ended with the defeat of the Trojans and the destruction of their city. The versions of this mythic story may vary, and in some of them, Cassandra even becomes imprisoned for her madness. In short, Cassandra has always been shown as a woman that was never understood. Thus, the origins of the myth are in stories about a divine punishment that the god Apollo imposed on that woman. This punishment was because the god was rejected by Cassandra, so he retaliated with a gift of prophecy that would only bring her frustration and despair. Cassandra had served as a priestess of Apollo and taken a sacred
Omtimes.com
vow of chastity to remain a virgin for her entire life. The Cassandra complex based on the myth: the invisibility of women After the stories related to the Cassandra myth, the term “Cassandra complex” was coined, which is applied to people who make predictions, often catastrophic, without others believing in them. Due to advances in scientific knowledge, the general mentality of our society tends to emphasize rationality and empiricism that overlooks aspects related to the non-rational, such as imaginative visions. Therefore, this type of discovery is often invisible and taken as a simple coincidence. In ancient Greece, the prevailing patriarchal society was characterized by equating the feminine with the needy,
Omtimes.com
the weak, and with what is likely to be dominated and exploited. Submission and silence were the ideal virtues for women’s behavior in that culture. This outlook, which survives in part to this day, has given way to the existence of many invisible women. However, there is multiple evidence of how women are present in a relevant way in a large number of historical events, both in the political sphere, as well as in the scientific, social and artistic domains. Cassandra’s complex can explain how the patriarchal through time logic absorbed these achievements, taking the merit of all these women and transferring their role to figures such as their parents, brothers or husbands. Nowadays, it is not difficult to see examples of this phenomenon of
invisibility in women in the media, where a good part of their chances of success is based on only their physical appearance. Woman as commodity and property The Cassandra myth tells how, after Troy was invaded and ransacked, Cassandra was delivered in the form of a war spoil to the Greek king Agamemnon. The story draws an archaic picture of how women’s bodies, even in our heights in history, are still used as a commodity, as an object of pleasure for men or as a showcase for selling a product. The objectification of the female body is the order of the day. Thus, most women find essential barriers in their personal or professional development when judged by their physical appearance or age, not by their abilities, intellectual potential or
achievements. Also, a large number of women have to face structural disbelief. In a patriarchal society, women who want to fight to eliminate gender roles and stereotypes are often silenced or marginalized. This is starting to change with the new movements such as the “Me too.” Many women, after overcoming various obstacles and disadvantages, after gaining access to positions of power and achieving recognition beyond what is traditionally expected of them are delegitimized, disqualified, or not taken seriously. This may be directly related to Cassandra’s phenomenon, and to how society deafens itself to the achievements of a woman who escapes from what is supposedly expected of her.

Change Unproductive Habits and Make Room For Greatness by Leigh Burton
Ready for a change? Everything we do is a form of habit. Some we like, some we don’t. To change an unproductive habit, we need to be honest about what caused it in the first place.
Omtimes.com
From the beginning of time, humans have been all about habits. Even though we don’t realize it, there is a habit in everything we do. There are only so many hours in a day, with so many things to do, and it all begins with the ringing of the alarm letting us know that the next portion of our journey has just started. Habits create comfort, like a morning routine, and understanding that the same route will take us to work. We stop at the grocery store on the way home and a perfect plan of rituals throughout the evening makes for a peaceful end to the day so that we can start all over again the next. There are the scheduled yoga classes throughout the week or the regular stops at the gym. Time with our friends and trips to our kids sporting events fill our calendar. If looking at a calendar, filled with notes of all the things we do and want to achieve, it’s easy to see a routine that for the most part feels good because it’s comfortable to know what’s expected of us. What’s missing in the calendar
of routine are the habits that we don’t like, the same ones that are unproductive. These are the parts of our days that we beat ourselves down the hardest. Whether it be skipping the visit at the gym, procrastinating about what needs to get done or, the dreadful customer calls that need to be made, it’s hard to accept as something that is ok. There are plenty of unproductive habits that we can use to judge ourselves as less than what we want to be. Including habits of alcohol, shopping, and not standing up for what we believe is right. The list is endless. When we witness others changing their unproductive ways we are inspired to do the same for ourselves but, some habits are harder to break than others. There is always the option to speak to an expert in the field of what the issue is and gain insight into what created the issue in the first place. Most often the answer is found in a look into our past, or into the environment that
Omtimes.com
the problem currently exists. We might realize that the particular gym we are going to isn’t working and it had nothing to do with us at all. We could learn that we turn to food for comfort and find another source of stress management. We can even find out that it’s true that a person is predisposed to alcohol abuse. While all of this is true, it isn’t enough to kick the habit forever. If we don’t realize the root of the issue, the selfdefeating behavior will return as it was or in another form. From one pattern to another, the real problem is how we feel about ourselves that caused the unproductive habit in the first place. The Ego is a dominant part of what we think of ourselves, how we behave and, emotion drives everything that the Ego does to make it ok to move into the replay of unwanted habits. Each step of the way through a pattern, from beginning to end, is triggered
Omtimes.com
by another emotion. But, the root of all unwanted and unproductive habits is a certain degree of fear and or shame. Without the realization of the fuel that stokes the fire, we will eventually fall back into the same patterns or create a new one that comforts the same issue. Looking inside and allowing honesty to replace denial creates a space that empowers us to make positive change and, in return makes space for something that will be more productive and worthier of the greatness that we seek. There is no stopping a person that is willing to go deep for their better good. Learning to Live in the Now By Judi Lynch
The time we spend right now and for the moments to come to matter greatly. If we live in the past, we will miss all the life going on

now. The places, people and things that really matter are waiting for us every day as a gift. Oh, how the past can come creeping in just when you least expect it! Things you have processed, filed away and marked “lesson learned have a way of invading the now you have been living in. Maybe others involved are still in a stage of evolution where a situation is concerned, and they have decided to test your resolve and patience. Sometimes the lessons are coming in fresh so you can see another perspective on the experience. Karma left still to be served for actions taken by both sides. If you let them, these events can disrupt your plans and peace of mind about having moved on. How do we continue to live
in the now and manifest the future while looking at the past as a wonderful library of knowledge? The key is the integration of Spirit with the knowledge and valuable information we have received since we’ve been here. The positive or negative outcome, we learned something. Remembering that even if we repeated foolish behaviors, letting ourselves and others down sometimes, we are still loved, needed and appreciated in the world. Forgiving ourselves can be the most difficult thing for most people to practice aside from forgiving others for their actions actively. When we are judged or treated unfairly by others, it is a good thing to acknowledge the place these actions originate from to look past the hurt. As
Omtimes.com
they like to say, hurt people will hurt other people for no real reason other than it’s the only reaction they know. They use it as a defense mechanism for things they don’t understand in others, to protect themselves by striking first in case their actions are called out. Many examples of “get them before they get you” are going on everywhere all over the world in family, government and big business. This kind of thinking has infiltrated the consciousness of many as a means of survival. To be strong enough to overcome these feelings of being inadequate, unforgivable or too small to overcome the criticism and negative actions of others take courage. That courage can grow into positive reinforcement and realization of life purpose. When we learn the methods
Omtimes.com
that keep us motivated to keep going and keep growing the whole lives we constantly charge the energy associated with our life force. We can actively process all the events in our lives an opportunity to grow. In that growth lies our greatest gifts in this life. We learn patience, compassion, charity, understanding and all the incredible emotions that run through us as human beings housing a lightfilled soul. Every time we learn, our spirit gains more light. Every time we give, we help heal the past from selfishness. Each time we understand someone else’s hurt we help to heal our past hurt from someone else. The time we spend right now and for the moments to come to matter greatly. If we live in the past, we will miss all the life going on now. The places,
people and things that really matter are waiting for us every day as a gift. Living each day with purpose lifts up the past so we can remember what was good, what was fun, all those awesome moments when things were amazing. Looking back with a smile and knowing there is more to come is key actually to enjoy being. For many people learning to create calm out of chaos is their biggest accomplishment. For others, it is learning the skills to overcome anxiety and fear to be able to thrive in life and help others do the same. Letting go of judgments, preconceived notions and forging ahead with a positive attitude are also great ingredients for living in the now. There are so much beauty and many beautiful people in the world. We all need to
remember how much good is out there to be cultivated and appreciated. The past is there is all its color to help guide us forward but not for us to stay grounded in. Evolution brings us new life, new ideas, concepts and promise for our future here. Living in the now means we accept and celebrate the past, but we don’t have to live there always. Why Practicing Conscious Living should be our Ecological duty. How Savings can help us understand our economy and our ecology. By Liane Buck
What savings have to do with ecology you might ask? At first glance numbers and respect for nature are not immediately connected, but in truth they are.
Omtimes.com
“The Holy Land is everywhere.” –Black Elk We should start using practices such as saving because we should start realizing that our earth’s resources are in fact limited. We are not referring only to the fossil fuels underground reserves, but other resources such as minerals, clean water, food, and energy sources and animal companions. There is no such a thing as a magical font that springs money and other resources at our volition. In fact, it is a great misunderstanding and somewhat an arrogant human outlook to regard this planet with all its resources and all its earthling, as being as part of mankind’s domains. We are just one more of the many species sharing the bountiful gifts given and shared by this earth. If we don’t step up as real caretakers of this planet, or part of earth crew, we are going only to be the witnesses of the destruction and mass extinction of many
present-day species, then we will be inheriting a world without weather control, a network of failing resources and a society in complete chaos. It is imperative that we develop a conservative “Saving Mentality” in a conscious lifestyle way of living only that way we can deaccelerate the rate of consumption of many goods and merchandise that are not vital for our existence. This simple action would create a ripple effect that would mean the difference between life and death of many species. Take as an example the insane production and usage of single-use plastic, these discarded and trashed plastics (such as straws) end up polluting our oceans, compromising the food source of many species and killing corals and other microbes. It is a karmic matter, i.e., cause and effect. “We have become, by the power of a glorious evolutionary accident called
Omtimes.com
intelligence, the stewards of life’s continuity on earth. We did not ask for this role, but we cannot abjure it. We may not be suited to it, but here we are.” –Stephen Jay Gould, The Flamingo’s Smile: Reflections in Natural History When we save we are also respecting the others? When we can use resources observing its limits and efficiency, we are optimizing our financial management and, at the same time, showing respect for our neighbor. Note that by consuming a pencil to the end, recycling or by taking advantage of the sheets of a notebook, or even reusing the scratch sheets for a few notes, we are making sure that we do not have to sacrifice so many trees, coal, and other organic materials. This attitude is proper for those who care about the other beings that inhabit the same planet and shows respect for those that are yet to come. The better we optimize natural resources; the more grateful future generations will be.
Omtimes.com
It is evident that the habit of saving is not just altruistic. Our well-being motivates us to be more engaged in the savings and conservation efforts. Having an attainable goal is essential if we are to succeed in the purpose of saving. If we fail to have goals to achieve, we are more likely than not to get far. Giving ourselves demanding goals and auditing if we are on the right track are the necessary conditions for the dream to save, be a reality more immediate than we think. “It shouldn’t be the consumer’s responsibility to figure out what’s cruel and what’s kind, what’s environmentally destructive and what’s sustainable. Cruel and destructive food products should be illegal. We don’t need the option of buying children’s toys made with lead paint, or aerosols with chlorofluorocarbons, or medicines with unlabeled side effects. And we don’t need the option of buying factoryfarmed animals.” –Jonathan Safran Foer, Eating Animals

For instance, the 6,000 year-old Egyptian BirdHeaded Snake Goddess, along with some other ancient Goddesses, uses the same pose as the qigong practice that helped author Hallie Iglehart Austen reclaim her health and life.
In 2017-2018, Dior made a fashion sensation with a complete line featuring the Goddesses of the Motherpeace Tarot. The 1,000-year-old Guanyin from China comes from a time when this deity transitioned from male to female, manifesting androgyny and gender fluidity. We also see the Sacred Feminine and the fiery Goddesses making their power felt all around the world, most dramatically with the Goddess Pele of Kilauea—the Goddess of fire, lightning, wind, and volcanoes and the creator of the Hawaiian Islands—who continues to transform the Big Island. Hallie believes we need the wisdom of the Goddesses now more than ever. We have reached a crossroads that appears to be either the end times or an opportunity for rebirth, and she suggests it’s up to us to determine which it will be. “We humans have created this situation and we humans can heal it.” She created The Heart of the Goddess to help midwife the rebirth—in the hope it will be a source of inspiration in our personal, collective and planetary healing. We are challenged today to simultaneously be present to what is going on in our world, keep our hearts open, and to act from love. We all wish the world was not suffering so much and yet it is— and we are here now. For the survival of our planet, our own species and all beings, we are called upon to grow beyond our individual selves and unite in oneness.

We are called to become our wisest, most loving and courageous selves, to expand even more our limited sense of self beyond our egos and attachments into wholeness. We are called to become individually whole, balancing our cultural values of feminine and masculine, for our own happiness and for the wellbeing of everyone.

Austen
One of the best ways Hallie knows to do this is to contemplate gifts of art, myth and music, receiving messages from our global family. Especially those who know the Sacred Feminine, along with the Divine Masculine, and see them all as human first— not separating them in the ways Euro-Western culture has come to do. To become whole, we must shine light on and celebrate that which has been denied and suppressed.
IXCHEL THE WEAVER Ixchel the Weaver North America, 8th Century c.e
Ixchel is the Mayan Goddess of the changing moon, weaving, prophecy, sexuality, healing and childbirth. She was revered throughout Southern Mexico, the Yucatan Peninsula and most of Central America, primarily from about 600 to 1500 c.e. She is still known as The Queen, Our Grandmother, Our Mother and The White Lady. For centuries, women have made pilgrimages to her holy places, including Isla Mujeres, the Island of Women.
Old woman of all ages Old woman of all ages Holder of the memory Starseed planted in your body Life’s web must be mended, Spider Woman’s crying Each one of us is a weaver, shining ones remembering —Contemporary Song By Anne Williams, Palenque, Mexico OMTIMES |OCTOBER B
In an early myth, Ixchel is the spider at the center of the world’s web. Similarly, an Iroquois myth sees the lunar waxing and waning as the work of an old woman who sits in the moon, eternally creating and recreating a weaving. In Indonesia, a spinning spider represents the soul of the moon, and in Borneo the moon in the form of a spider creates the world. Yet Ixchel is also honored as a human woman, just as Navajo women weavers feel that they are directly inspired by Spider Woman’s original act of manifestation.
In this terra cotta statue, Ixchel sits at her loom with her ever-present bird companion, the nest weaver, who is associated with the Goddess throughout the world. Ixchel sits easily and with great presence, for she is the bliss of creativity, weaving the fabric of life itself. Each of us is a thread in her great pattern. Singing, spinning from her deepest being, she carefully smoothes the substance of every soul between her great fingers. She then chooses her color. Perhaps it is a clear red, or a peaceful blue, or a vibrant earth brown. Whatever color each of us is —whatever body, personality or character—we are purposefully created by the Goddess to make the Great Fabric of Life as it is meant to be. Having chosen carefully, she takes a deep breath of eternity, exhales the life force into each being and begins to weave. And so, your life, and all lives, begin. Sometimes choosing contrast, sometimes complementary, picking the textures and colors which best suit one another, the Goddess weaves us together.
Feel the Goddess’s selection in you, and her pattern in your life. Feel where you, and others, might have tried to interfere with the Great Weaver’s design—where you tried to impose a “man-made” pattern onto Nature. Which is Ixchel’s weaving? Which is yours? Where can a harmonious blend be made? Work to unravel the synthetic fibers from the fabric of your life and the life of the Earth. Help her to sort out the strands of the past and weave them into a new, brightly colored future.

SPIDER THE CREATRIX Spider the Creatrix North America, c. 1300 c.e
In the beginning was thought, and her name was Woman…She is the Old Woman who tends the fires of life. She is the Old Woman Spider who weaves us together… She is the Eldest God, the one who Remembers and Re-members… —The Sacred Hoop by Paula Gunn Allen

Spider, an important being in many Native American mythologies, is represented in this shell gorget from Spiro burial mound in Oklahoma. The swastika in the center probably represents the four winds, directions and elements; the bands might be those of the snake, while the hands are a universal symbol of manifestation, blessing and healing. A weaver like Ixchel, Spider is a symbol of the universe and of concrete manifestation. Primal cultures all over the world esteem spiders, who are protectors of sacred places. Myths and legends associate these tiny beings who miraculously weave their webs from their own bodies with the Creatrix and light, and with kind old women and weaving. Native American myths, including those from the Cherokee and Kiowa, honor Spider Grandmother as the only one of all the creatures who was able to bring back light from the land of the Sun People. She created our sun and gave us fire, an act immortalized in her web’s sunray-like design. Spider’s web is also mirrored in the pattern of sound waves, and sound is one of her tools.
In author Merlin Stone’s recounting of a North American Keres Pueblo myth, Spider Woman, Sussitanako, is the great darkness of the Original Womb Void. She spins her web in the four directions and sings her two daughters into being. These children, Ut Set, mother of the Pueblo people, and Nau Ut Set, mother of all others, create the moon and sun from iridescent abalone shell, turquoise and brilliantly colored rocks. With red, yellow, white and black clay, Spider Woman makes the people of the four races. Over each of us, as effortlessly and patiently as the spider spinning her web, she weaves a mantle of wisdom and love. She then attaches a strand of her web to the doorway at the tops of our heads—a psychic connection echoed by the !Kung of southern Africa, who say that their spirits fly to the sky along threads of spider silk when they are trance dancing. If we let this opening close and forget about our connections to Spider Woman, we lose our way. Yet we can keep this door open by chanting, and thus call on the universal wisdom of Spider Woman.

The spectators become so vocal in their appreciation that Amaterasu is overcome by curiosity. She emerges from her cave and for the first time sees her own radiance and glory. Enticed by the erotic sacred play of the Crone, the Sun Goddess returns, and life is renewed. Just as it was in the myth, the world is now in danger of dying. There are Sun and Fire Goddesses throughout the world. In fact, in most primal cultures the sun is female. For the Cherokee the Sun Goddess is Igaehindvo, and the Celtic Fire Goddess Brigid became the Irish Christian St. Bridget. Merlin Stone tells us of Sun Woman of the Australian Arunta, Akewa of the Toba of Argentina, Sun Sister of the Arctic Inuit, and Allat of the Arabs. The Sun Goddess of ancient Anatolia controlled the right of rulership, just as the Japanese imperial family traces its lineage directly to the Goddess Amaterasu. Amaterasu Omikami, the GreatGoddess-Spirit-Shining-in-Heaven, Creatrix Goddess of the sun, weaving and agriculture, is the most ancient Japanese deity. To this day, she is honored at public and private Shinto shrines throughout the country. Many elderly Japanese retain the custom of bowing and making offerings to her each morning as she rises.
In this detail from a colored woodcut by Utagawa Kunisada, Amaterasu appears in all her glory to the other deities. In the myth which leads up to this moment, her brother Susanoo has disrupted the natural and social orders of heaven through physical violence, particularly violence against women. Eventually one of the Goddess’s weaving women dies of a wound to her vulva. Amaterasu is so enraged that she closes herself into a cave and refuses to come out. As in the Greek myth of Demeter and Persephone, without the Goddess all life begins to wither and die. The other Goddesses and Gods try to lure Amaterasu out. Since celebration is an integral part of worship, they decide to have a party. Eight hundred of the deities gather in front of the cave, and their music and song can be heard throughout the world. Knowing that Amaterasu has never seen herself, they set up a mirror opposite the cave’s entrance. At the high point of their revelries, the Goddess Ame no Uzume, sometimes represented as elderly, performs a particularly erotic dance.

GREEN TARA Green Gulch Green Tara North America, Contemporary
By taking care of our precious Earth today we take care of our future. —Mayumi Oda
OMTIMES |OCTOBER B
As a bodhisattva, Tara is a fully awakened being who, rather than dissolve into bliss, has chosen to reincarnate and work for the liberation of all beings. Inspired by a love of Nature and all her creatures, many of us have taken this bodhisattva vow, whether formally or informally, consciously or unconsciously. In our time, however, the immediate concern is with survival as well as enlightenment. When we remember that we are part of the web of life, we realize that the condition of every living being affects us. This awakening is the essence of true spirituality and a guarantee of political and social consciousness. To the degree that we recognize and feel, on a visceral level, the joyful truth of our interconnectedness, we commit ourselves to personal and global salvation. Green Gulch Green Tara’s eroticism is an important aspect of her bodhisattva hood: The sweet pea represents the yoni, and she is surrounded by the sensual abundance of Nature. One of Tara’s human incarnations was as the Tibetan mystic Yeshe Tsogyal, who helped many people to full enlightenment through sacred sexual union with her. | O C T O B E R B
Re-imaging traditional Goddesses is an important part of creating a Goddess culture that speaks to our times. This lovely silkscreen print is contemporary artist Mayumi Oda’s vision of the Tibetan Buddhist Goddess Green Tara. Her name comes from the Zen center called Green Gulch Farm in the San Francisco Bay Area, whose garden is renowned for its beautiful vegetables and flowers. As Lady of the Plants and Animals, Tara has often been depicted in a special forest; she is more closely linked with the outdoors and Nature than any other Buddhist deity except Guanyin. In a celebration of the sacred lifebestowing powers of plants, Green Gulch Green Tara sits on a huge cabbage throne while sweet peas dance around her. At one with the cycles of Nature, she is in the traditional pose of a bodhisattva about to rise to help those in need. Her right hand gives blessings and her left holds a sweet pea vine. At her feet are the three jewels of Buddhism: Buddha (the awakened mind), dharma (the teachings) and sangha (the community). OMTIMES
