Umělecká rezidence v Řeznu (DE) Program OPEN A.i.R. pod záštitou Plzeň 2015 ve spolupráci s KunstvereinGRAZe.V. v Řeznu vyhlašuje otevřenou výzvu pro české umělce: Umělecký rezidenční pobyt v Řeznu Termín rezidence: 3. 8. – 3. 9. 2015 Počet rezidentů: 1 Profil rezidenta: profesionální umělec, vč. studenta umění, který se narodil / žije / jeho tvorba je spjatá významně s / odkazuje na Plzeň či Plzeňský kraj. Přihlášky obsahující portfolio a motivační dopis obsahující umělecký záměr pro danou rezidenci (vše v němčině nebo angličtině) zasílejte do 1. dubna 2015 na adresu: art@renatechristin.de. Přihlášky bude posuzovat a umělce vybírat porota zastoupená členy projektů KunstvereinGRAZ a OPEN A.i.R./ Plzeň 2015. Cíl a téma rezidence: Vytvoření site-specific projektu. Navázání spolupráce řezenských a plzeňských umělců.

CZECH ARTIST WANTED!

Rezidence bude zakončena veřejným představením projektu (výstava díla se uskuteční ve výstavních prostorách KunstvereinGRAZ od 4. 26. 9. 2015). Organizátor rezidence zajišťuje: • ubytování (privát) • materiál a technické zajištění rezidence v max. hodnotě 500 € • honorář (1000 € brutto) Lokalita: Projekt KunstvereinGRAZ sídlí ve středu města Řezno. V sídle KunstvereinGRAZ se pravidelně organizují výstavy, přednášky, workshopy atd. Poskytují umělcům dobré technické zázemí a možnost být v centru dění. G N I N E P THE O NY O M E R E C The city of Pilsen officially took the title of the European Capital of Culture for 2015. A lot of people come during 16/01 - 18/01 to join the celebration of the biggest domestic cultural event for this year and experience 3 full days of exhibitions, concerts, debates and parades all over Pilsen. The highlight of the celebrations took place on January 17 on Republic Square, with the Symphony of the Bells of St. Bartholomewâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s Cathedral and the greatest videomapping projection ever presented in the Czech Republic. Then, we had the opportunity to enjoy exhibitions, dances and concerts.

1- Did you attend the Opening ceremony? 2- What did you like most? JÁN OSTROLUCKÝ 1- So...to be completely honest, I did not really see much of the ECC 2015 Pilsen openning ceremony. Just a few parts on the TV at home where I was working on ECC´s 2015 other projects, surprisingly 2- Nevertheless, videomapping projection, rope-walker David Dimitri and the czech band Lucie became immediately motives and themes for everyday chats and discussions between locals at the bus stops, rams and other public places. So I can basically say I feel like I was there.

ROSWITHA & MARKUS 1- We just arrived a few hours before the Opening ceremony in Pilsen and got completely lost in the party and programs. We have been alongside the main square, later in the evening we could also enter the square. 2- Most impressive was the animated video projection on the town house facades at the main square. Really nicely done video piece, moving the architecture "below".

1- I was everywhere and nowhere at the same time, I was running around with our guests. These were very long days for me. 2- I really like the overall atmosphere of buzzing town - loads of people flowing from one place to another, expectations, excitement...

1- I went to the main square about 30 minutes before and it was totally crowded. I had the feeling that people was really excited about the Opening. 2- Everything around the Opening was beautiful, but for me it was specially impressive the videomapping in the church and the buildings of the square. It was nice for me to discover a little bit about Pilsenâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s history through this videomapping.

Ludmila is a multimedia Slovak artist working in the Regional Volunteering Center TOTEM on her community art project called ´´Domácí je holt domáci´´. She has regular meetings with local seniors. She has been working on this project since December 2014.

What are your first impressions about Pilsen? I just explore it. Its hard to tell, but if it supose to be a first impression, then I feel grey space, grey district, grey citycenter, but part with greens, rivers, and abandoned old places are very nice. But I come here to work here not to be traweller:) Could you give us some clues about your project? My project is about the neighbourhoods, baking a home made sweets, about tradition which bring people from Boulevecka naves with Bolevecka

district (new part with settlement) with people from Totem a together with people from neighborhoods I can show, task and their answers which depict cohesion, trust, frendships. important facts is that baking cakes is art masterpeace and also creativity which can be in the and the final Artworks.each person can bring by their creativity transform process in final visual and idea product. Home made is home made- with love, passion, creativity as a gift which can broke cold heart, narrows view.

Markus & Roswitha are two experienced German and Austrian visual artists. They are working on a documentary video inspired in the atmosphere and history of this city and itÂ´s going to be presented on the 19th of March in the Creative Zone DEPO 2015, which is a beautiful industrial space, currently under the reconstruction.
