My name is Jan, but I hate how it sounds so I prefer Honza or when I am abroad, it’s fun to call myself John or Johny. I study and live (and work) in Pilsen since 2013 and it was surprising for me, how cool this city is. Nowadays, I am so glad to made the decision to settle there, since I met plenty of friendly and inspirative people here. I study at the Faculty of Design and Arts in the studio of illustration and comics. However, I love all artistic fields, specially performance, ceramic design or concept art. Since 2014 I am part of a young gallery for contemporary art called Vestředu. It´s located in the center of Pilsen and it presents different artistic projects including exhibitions of Pilsener art students. Throught this activity I get in touch with DEPO2015 and after series of unbelievable circumstances I become member of their team as well. So here I am, probably the youngest member of Pilsen2015, a little bit scared, but extremely happy to have this opportunity :)

Short Bio

Nicoletta started her training in ballet during her childhood and after her Diploma of Art, she moved to France to continue the study of dance. She focused there her apprenticeship in conntemporary dance and had many experiences as actress into the experimental theatre and singer in bands. In the middle of the 90’s she founded her own Company named Lubbert Das. In parallel she continued her dancing careers with national and international companies and also for different opera theatres and several choreopraphers, and had a teaching experimentation for few years in Venice. Now she works as a free-lance international choreographer and collaborates also with the Tanz Company Gervasi in Vienna as a choreoprahic assitant.
Nowhere, now here She came to Pilsen with three Italian dancers - Francesca Ruggerini, Eleonora Soricaro and Michela Silvestrin. Together with the Czech dancer Eliska Soukupova, they are working for three weeks on a site-specific performance called Nowhere, now here, which will be presented on 09/07 at 8pm in DEPO2015.

DE Short Bio
Soihiro is an artist, bornt in Tokyo, in 1980. Based on acoustic technology as a central axis, he has been presenting systems as artworks exploring organic syntheses of perception, environments, and the human body. His interest is to realize open system by new media as fine art, which aim to investigate possibilities of art as alter nature by technology. He has shown his several project as solo and group exhibition, “the world filled with blank” (2013), kunstquartier bethanien/berlin, kdmofa/Taiwan), “OPEN SPACE2012” (NTTICC, Japan) [Simple Interaction - soundart from Japan] (2011, museum of contemporary art, Denmark) and more.
Statement “I have presented open system as art for a while. I am interested in sharing process which is ongoing at the place, rather than static object. This is the message for my country facing unprecedented epoch from I as Japanese. I feel that it is important to confront what is hapenning as it is. “ This project is supported by the EU-JAPAN FEST Japan Committee
