n a small space in Funchal, André Freitas, a young programmer, sets up his mobile office. He takes his laptop out of his backpack, along with a device that allows him to adjust the height of the machine, and his headphones. After connecting to the internet, he is ready for another day of work at Beyond pricing, a business headquartered in San Francisco, in the United States of America. He messages his colleagues over an app to inform them that he is online. Be it from Madeira, Lisbon or Oporto, where he also has a place to live in, the ritual is the same. What matters is that work conditions are stable, wherever he is. A good internet connection, laptop and headphones that allow him to communicate with colleagues are essential. All the material is supplied by the firm. 'It is necessary that everyone is at the same level of communication', he explains.
