Introduction This project is about healthy eating. We did this project to see the diet of the teachers, parents and schoolmates. Then we analyzed their foods (they eat this quantity of proteins, lipids‌). And, to ďŹ nish this project, we designed a balanced menu for them.


Xoel’s food diary


Analysis With the information of the SENC (sociedad española de nutrición comunitaria) I can say that my food diary is high in calcium and carbohydrates, but I’ve realized that I eat a low quantity of fish.


Natalia’s food diary


Analysis My conclusion is that I have to eat healthier. I have to stop eating so much fat and so many fried things. I need to eat more vegetables / fruits and drink more dairy products.


Francisco’s food diary


Analysis My conclusion is that I drink too much water, I eat the same thing every day and it’s not very healthy and I don’t have breakfast every day.


Questionnaire analysis The 67.6%of the people interviewed eat 3 to 4 meals a day, the 28% of the people interviewed eat 5 to 6 meals a day and only a small part of the people interviewed eat more that 6 meals a day. The 86.3% eats breakfast every day and the 13.7 of the people interviewed don’t. 60 out of 102 persons drink 5 to 6 cups of water a day, 53 out of 102 persons never drink tea, 43 out of 102 drink 1 to 2 cups of coffee a day, 56 out of 102 persons never drink low calorie carbonated and neither carbonated with sugar and 35 out of 102 persons seldom drink juice.


37 out of 102 persons eats 1 to 2 portions of vegetables, 44 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 portions of legumes a week, 38 out of 102 persons never had integral cereals and neither reďŹ ned grains, 52 out 102 eat 1 to 2 portions of ďŹ sh a week, 38 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 portions of poultry weekly, 49 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 portions red meats weekly and 50 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 eggs a week, 49 out of 102 persons seldom eat cakes/pies, 36 out of 102 persons never eat dark chocolate and 47 out of 102 seldom eat nuts.


48 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 cups of skim or low fat milk, 57 out of 102 persons have 1 to 2 cups of yogurt, 66 out of 102 persons never had whole milk, 72 out of 102 persons never had margarine and 49 out of 102 never had butter and 38 out of 102 persons seldom have cheese. A 27.5% of the people eats 2 to 3 pieces fruit, a 19.6% eats more than 3 pieces daily, a 41.2% have 1 to 2 pieces daily, 11.2% never have fruit. A 40.2% of the people interviewed add 1 to 2 teaspoons of sugar to them beverages and the 53.9% of the people add sugar to them beverages. A 67.6% of the people interviewed have fried food and the 23.5% of the have fried food once or twice a week.The 91.2% of the people interviewed uses olive oil, but a 8.8% uses sunower oil.


Analysis The people interviewed drink well, they eat 4 meals a day, but they should eat more integral cereals, reďŹ ned grains, legumes, vegetables, and they got to eat less fried food.


Menu for a day For breakfast you could have a piece of fruit with some cereals and milk. For lunch you can eat ommu rice (a japanese plate that consists in an omelette with rice, varied vegetables and fried tomato). For afternoon snack you can have a ham & cheese sandwich and a yogurt mixed with some strawberries. For dinner we are going to have a glass of milk and some cookies.


Conclusion In this project we learned to analyze what we eat and to control our diet, we learned how to make a healthy menu and how to upload an interview to Google Drive.
