SETTING. The story tells us about an unknown place after a war. It could be Germany after World War II . Characters The characters in the story are: a father, a mother, an old man, but the most important characters are the boys and girls with their smiles, tenderness, and joy.
PLOT. The story is about a country after a war where families even if they have no electricity, no houses, no clothes, their enthusiasm and desire to live, are bigger than the sadness of war and destruction.
Conclusion For me, the message that the story transmits is that life continues, and that you can never miss, hope and smile. The author uses a very simple language, because the important thing is the images of the story, they are so real that it seems that we are living there. It's a beautiful story, although the war is not.
Cover analysis. In the cover page i observe a child´s leg , a football ball and a path of “plants” that leads to the back cover and at the end of the path there are some pigeons. I think the book is about a war because it looks very poor, sad and I think that the "way" to the pigeons means that we have to follow a path towards peace and the ball, I think, is the hope of the child that although there is a war they continue to play with joy.
Personal opinion after reading the story. After reading the story , I would buy it, because it is a very nice, tender story, and I would like it to be read by my brother Jaime. This project was very important to me. I like to work on projects, I think we learn a lot, it's more fun than a theory class, The most difficult part, for me, was the analysis of the cover, by the symbols (it took me many
hours to write it), but after reading the story , I understood it well.
Live.
What I like the most is the message that the story tells us:
