Introduction

My grandfather is called Francisco Yáñez Couso, he is my mother’s father. He is the person who I admire because he had lots of adversities which he could overcome. I think he is the most important person in my life because he always was with me when I was little. Nowadays he often suffers from lots of illnesses and he passes most of the time in the hospital. 2. Description 2.1 Physically My grandfather is old and short. He isn’t fat because he can’t eat lots of things because of health problems. He has white hair and he wears glasses. He always wears a jumper and corduroy trousers. Sometimes he puts on tshirts to go out with my grandmother. 2.2 Caracter My grandfather is a very good person because he is always willing to help others, even if he doesn’t know anything about them. He is a very optimistic person, because he passes a lot of time at the hospital and he always has some operation, but any time he has to have an operation he always thinks that all is going to be right. My grandfather takes care of all the family, he wants that all of us be happy and healthy, even if he is worst, he is worried about us and he makes different things for us to be well.

2.3 Hobbies and way of live My grandfather is like me, we can’t be motionless neither a minute, so that he is always doing something. Sometimes he cleans the house, one day the first floor, another day another floor, and always like this. He either prunes the trees or he combs the dogs, but his favourite activity is to stay with my brother and me telling stories of his life. He has worked as a welder in lots of places, like San Sebastian, Barcelona, Portugal, Paris, London, Germany, USA and Brazil. Of course he has worked too in different places of Galicia. In his life there were lots of people that didn’t like my grandfather because when they rested, my grandfather continued working. All the bosses preferred him because he was a very hard worker. He was very happy when he worked, and he really enjoyed it.

3. Conclusion I think my grandfather is the most important person in my life and when he dies, I’m going to miss him a lot, especially his stories, but I think that what I will really miss, will be to go to my grandparent’s house and see him, his caresses, his cuddles, to stay with him and that he calls me different nicknames.
