1- The poem illustrates.

Last Night I Dreamed of Chickens by Jack Prelutsky Last night I dreamed of chickens, there were chickens everywhere, they were standing on my stomach, they were nesting in my hair, they were pecking at my pillow, they were hopping on my head, they were ruffling up their feathers as they raced about my bed. They were on the chairs and tables, they were on the chandeliers, they were roosting in the corners, they were clucking in my ears, there were chickens, chickens, chickens for as far as I could see... when I woke today, I noticed there were eggs on top of me.

2- Analyze the poem. 2.1- What do the poem narrates?

The poem narrates the experience of someone who is dreaming with chickens. He sees them everywhere, and when he wakes up he is surrounded by eggs.

2.2- What do the poem minds? In my opinion the author wants to show us the stress of the city. For me the chickens represent the people, they are everywhere, doing what they want regardless of the rest. I think that he used chickens to do a contrast between the rural world and the urban one. The eggs represent the consequences of that stress. For me the chickens are a dream because nobody can see the stress on his body, but the consequences are visible, and for that reason he can see the eggs.

2.3.- Similes and metaphors. It doesn't have any simile or metaphor; you must have a good imagination to understand the poem. The title is satiric, because it criticizes the actual society.

2.4-The author. Jack Prelutsky was born on 8 September, 1940 in Brooklyn. He is a poetry writer, he writes poetry for children, and also he created the Prelutsky Poetry Foundation. He appeared in Arthur, a popular animated television series, in the episode "I'm a Poet.".

4- The song. BILLY BROWN Oh Billy Brown had lived an ordinary life. Two kids, a dog, and a cautionary wife. While it was all going according to plan Then Billy Brown fell in love with another man. He met his lover almost every single day Making excuses for his dodgy holiday (Unto religion that he said and duty found They didn't know his faith was earthly bound)

Brown...Oh Billy Brown. Don't let the stars get you down. Don't let the waves let you drown. Brown...Oh Billy Brown. Gonna pick you up like a paper cup. Gonna shake the water out of every nook. Oh Billy Brown. Oh Billy Brown needed a place, somewhere to go. He found an island off the coast of Mexico Leaving his lover and his family behind. Oh Billy Brown needed to find some peace of mind. And on his journey and his travels on the way, He met a girlie who was brave enough to say, When they made love he shared the burden of his mind. Oh Billy Brown you are a victim of the times. Brown...Oh Billy Brown. Don't let the stars get you down. Don't let the waves let you drown. Brown...Oh Billy Brown. Gonna pick you up like a paper cup. Gonna shake the water out of every nook. Oh Billy Brown. Brown...Oh Billy Brown. Gonna pick you up like a paper cup. Gonna shake the water out of every nook. Oh Billy Brown. Oh Billy Brown had lived an ordinary life. 6- Analyze the song. 6.1- What do the song narrates? The song narrates the story of a man that fell in love very easily. He has a normal family and a secret lover. He decided to abandon them to think about the situation. He travelled to an island and fell in love with another girl. He is a victim of the times.

6.2- What do the song minds? In my opinion the singer wants to show the importance of doing what you want, without caring what others think. Because Billy Brown does everything as he feels. And, also, Mika want to show or criticize the actual society, in my opinion he want to say that we think that we are very open or liberal people, but truly, we are very closed-minded.

6.3.- Similes and metaphors. It doesn't have any simile or metaphor. The title is satiric, because it criticizes the actual society, but also is optimistic and fighter, because it says that you must do whatever you want.

6.4-The singer. Michael Holbrook Penniman, also know by Mika, was born in Beirut (Libyan). He lived his childhood in Paris (France) and then he moved to London (UK). He is a singer, composer, pianist and key board player.
