1.Introduction In this project, we are going to be​ ​ Human​ s​ Rights Defender​ s​ . ​ A Human Rights defender is a person that / who​ ​ X ​ travels around the

world trying to help people whose rights are being violated by their governors.


2.Information about the HH.RR and the right “Gender equality” What the HH.RR are: HH.RR are the rules that all the people have to respect, because ​ they ​ are necessary for the social harmony. What Gender equality is: This right​ ​ consists of treating​ ​ people,women or men equally.

Why we chose this right: We chose this right because we think that it is​ ​ very important, and ​ it​ ​ isn't respected all over​ ​ the world.


3.Where this right are being violated This right isn’t respected​ ​ all over​ ​ the world, but, the most alarming are: Ethiopia​ :​ In Ethiopia, girls can’t go to school just because they are girls. Indonesia​ : ​ In Indonesia: 1.­90% of women are violated in the job. 2.­Every hour, a woman ​ dies​ ​ is death while giving birth. 3.­ If a man​ ​ is paid​ ​ 100$, a woman is paid just 38$. for the same work

Mexico​ : ​ In mexico, ¼ of the woman​ ​ have been​ ​ violated.


4. The state of the HH.RR in: Spain:

Spain is a member of the “Human Rights Council" The Humans Rights Council is the board of the HH.RR. Spain​ ​ signed this statute: CEDAW­Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women.(This is the statement of our right) CRPD­Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. CERD­International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination. CCPR­International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.


Dominican Republic:

Dominican Republic isn’t a member of the “Human Rights Council” Dominican Republic​ ​ sign this statute : CAT­ Convention against Torture CCPR­ International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights CEDAW­ Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (This is the statement of our right) CRC­ Convention on the Rights of the Child


The Dominican Republic and Spain sign more statutes like the previous. But we have emphasised these four​ ​ statutes because we think that these are some​ ​ importants statutes. Another statutes are, for example, the convention on the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination, Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities…


5.Books and films Films: “Desert Flower”​ : This film tells the​ ​ experience​ ​ of Waris Dirie, a very important actress, when she run away of her natal country. “Alone”:​ This is a spanish film that tells the history of Rosa, a woman that​ ​ has​ ​ a kid with a man that doesn't love her. “Only mine”:​ This is a spanish film that tells the history of a woman that find out the true personality of her husband: aggressive and violent.

Books: “The colour purple”:​ This book tells the story of Celie, a girl that is 14 years old and she is pregnant. And kid’s father is ​ the​ Celie's father “Loves that kill”:​ This book tells 9 stories of love and fear “​ Maimed​ ”​ : ​ This book tells the story of Khaidi, a woman that is maimed when she is 7 years old


6­​ ​ Person and associations that fight against the violation of the HH.RR Person:​ Malala Yousafzai. Malala Yousafzai won the Nobel​ ​ peace prize in 2014 because she fights for the HH.RR. She was 17 years old when she won the Nobel. She is a pakistani girl who fights for the rights of the children in her country, because the talibans don’t respect any right.

Association:​ ”Human Rights Watch”. This organization is dedicated to protect the HH.RR in all the world.This people investigate the violations of the HH.RR and they remedy this problem.


7­Conclusion: In this project we learned that in this world ​ the​ HH.RR aren't respected, but we can remedy this. The most difficult part was to​ ​ search for​ ​ the information about the person and the association. We didn't like very much to do this project, because it was difficult. We​ ​ travelled around the world, and we found out that HH.RR aren't​ ​ respected in all the world, and, to remedy this situation, we fought for them (HH.RR) in Dominican Republic and in Spain. We can remedy this situation if we fight together!!!
