Mr. American National Star Emeritus-Buck Stone Wow is all I can say. Another productive day! Can I say how proud and blessed I am to work with such amazing promoters???!!! Clark Austin, John Richard Griffey, Kris Kohl, and Jeffrey Ogle are amazing! We have some great things cooked up for nationals and each of these individuals is providing a ton of support to make our quadruple crowning weekend a huge success. Kris Kohl- our MIss Vintage ANS and I spoke in detail tonight. She has invested her money, time, sewing talents, and much more to help not only her contestants but myself and Miss ANS- Jazmyn Turrelle. The epitome of wisdom, experience, and foresight have made her the 3rd jewel in our triple crown. Our web designer Jonathan and I are burning the midnight oil again tonight to prepare the American National Star Pageantry website. Qualified contestants.... PLEASE GET YOUR BIOS AND PICS into him ASAP. If you don’t get something in by end of business tomorrow we will just list your name and a pic from your facebook to fill the spot. Contestants, please communicate with your promoter this week with the status of your nationals package plan. With the countdown starting til November 1, the promoters, Jazmyn, Clark, and myself are here to answer questions and help you get the resources you need to bring your very best that weekend. Flyers will go up this week for the Mr Butch & Miss Femme ANS Pageant to be held Saturday September 7th in Little Rock at Miss Kitty’s Saloon hosted by promoter Jeff Ogle. Also the Mr./Miss/Miss Vintage ANS Pageant to be held on Saturday October 5 at Independence Place in Cape Girardeau, MO hosted by promoter Clark Austin. The coronation for Mr & Miss Arizona is set for Sunday August 25 at IcePics Video Bar in Phoenix hosted by promoter John Richard Griffey. An East Coast prelim is being planned date TBA, will be announced in next week or so. We are also still offering prelims, placements or appointments for promoters wishing to send contestants to nationals in Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Wisconsin, Maryland, DC, Georgia, Alabama, and New Mexico. Divisions competing at Nationals on Nov 1-3 in Little Rock, Arkansas include Mr, Miss, Butch, and Femme. Please contact myself, Jazmyn Turrelle or Kris Kohl if you are interested in becoming a promoter or a contestants asap. We would love to have you join the American National Star Family! EUREKA SPRINGS ZOMBIE INVASION Friday, September 27, 2013 Eureka Springs Zombie Invasion in association with Eureka Springs Downtown Network, and the Northwest Arkansas Hauntours invite you to a night of freaky family fun! As part of the ESDN’s 4th Friday “Fun After Five” series, Center Street will be closed to traffic and the Basin Spring Park in downtown Eureka Springs will be overrun with zombies!! Bring the whole family for a night of games, ghouls, costume contests, and creeps.

BRETT HOUSER, ZOMBIE AUTHOR Local Ozark writer Brett Houser will be signing copies of the first book in his excellent new “Creeper Rise” zombie fiction series! Mr. Houser has also agreed to do a short reading from his book. ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE SHOOTING RANGE Test your targeting skills against the undead in the Zombie Apocalypse paintball shooting range on Center Street! ZOMBIE ART CONTEST Calling all artists, young and old! Bring your best zombie-themed masterpiece and an easel to display it, for a chance to win a special prize. ZOMBIE PASTA Devito’s will be offering zombie lovers a special zombie-themed pasta meal in their restaurant on Center Street!

WALKING DEAD LOOK-A-LIKE CONTEST Dress as your favorite zombie killer (or zombie?) from the popular television horror series for your chance to win a special zombie prize pack that includes a NWA Hauntours haunted attraction pass!

NWA HAUNTOURS SCARE BOOTH The Northwest Arkansas Hauntours, a group of regional Halloween-themed businesses and haunting professionals will be on site with creepy effects and information on this year’s exciting haunt offerings!

GRTC UPDATE: Howdy Campers! Fall is approaching fast, which happens to be our favorite time of the year to camp. Just right afternoon temps and temps perfect at night for snuggling Some people think camping is a Memorial Day to Labor Day activity, but “Off Season” camping is awesome. Especially if you like quieter times at the camping areas. We have 2 trips already on the Calender. Cactus Canyon trip (males only) for Halobear the weekend of Oct 4th-6th. A huge Bear and friends of, get together. Then what is going to be our Annual “Homecoming” the first weekend in December will be our Petit Jean Mountain camp out. If you haven’t been to Petit Jean State Park you have been missing one of if not Arkansas most beautiful park. Awesome hiking trails, magnificent photo ops, great lake and campsites. We have several sites already booked in Section A I think we have sites 3-8 already taken by group members. Several site are available adjoining those. We have some tent pads available on the sites with campers are being used. If you would like to reserve one of those tent pads, go to our facebook page: https:// www.facebook.com/groups/476975909012288/ and look for the post talking about the sites

and post that you would like to reserve one. First come first served. More details and plans will come for these trips in the coming weeks. There is a private float trip in the works for the weekend of Sept 20th-22nd. if you would be interested email Glen Smith either on facebook or at glensmith501@gmail.com and I will put you in touch with the person leading that outing. It isn’t a GRTC event. Now Coming up this weekend we will be out on Sunday August 25th at Trax Annual Family Reunion fish Fry at Trax North Little Rock Come out and see the family members you haven’t in a while and have some great food and time with friends Come out and join us! Big congratulations to The Our Gang family of bars for addition of another bar for our community. Stay tuned for the Big Announcement on the grand opening of “Chaps” in North Little Rock. Just like our family, our options for entertainment and meeting others continues to grow. Thanks and Congrats Our Gang! Our group is up to 261 members, keep spreading the word! Remember folks Camping and the great outdoors is not going to come meet you on your couch or patio, we have to get out in it. Whatever is holding you back from joining us message us, we can help!
