BOARD OF DIRECTORS A Message from the CEO, Larry Fladager We hope all our business members had a wonderful Christmas holiday and were able to enjoy some time off to relax. The holiday season is a busy time for many of our members and we hope, a prosperous one as well. We were encouraged to see shoppers supporting local business and will continue to promote the mantra of supporting local business not just over the holidays, but every day of the year. On that note, the Chamber received a very nice email over the Christmas season from a local resident who wanted to express her appreciation to those businesses that closed for a few days over Christmas to recognize the holidays. Ms. Jan Olesko was very pleased to see so many businesses observe the holiday season and said it sets a wonderful example for Prince Albert. Her full comment is below: “Merry Christmas! I wish to express my thanks and appreciation to ALL the Prince Albert businesses that observed this wonderful time of the year...Christmas Day! Here are two things that many of our family, friends and neighbors noted: It was great to see that businesses were closed so that all families could enjoy this important day...AND...most important of all... there was a great warmth and joy in our community ...One reason could be that the greetings at most stores was ' "Merry Christmas!" So refreshing and affirming! Well done, Prince Albert!! Thank you!” As an advocacy organization, the Chamber is pleased to represent the many generous and hard-working business owners who help make Prince Albert a great place to live, work and invest. Our membership continues to grow and we thank all our members who support the Chamber and the local business community. Your participation in the Chamber is crucial to the success of our organization, and we value your ideas and expertise. There are many ways to show your support for the local business community, from becoming a Chamber member to attending our regular networking events or participating on one of our volunteer committees. We at the Chamber look forward to hearing from all our business members throughout the year and working together to build a stronger local economy while pursuing policies and initiatives that attract more growth and investment to Prince Albert. Wishing you all the best in 2016! January 2016
