The Dagenham Heathway Neighbourhood shop is a makerspace with different areas that provide residents with the space and tools to host free sessions and join lots of other residentled activities. All sessions are located at the shop, unless stated otherwise.

Come along to this session and go for a wild walk in your local area with your neighbours. Together we’ll collect different leaves and flowers for flower pressing.

Do you have any plants in your home? Join this session, learn how to take cuttings off indoor plants to grow lots more and also exchange some plants with others.

Come along and use dried foraged flowers to create beautiful paper perfect for cards and crafts. This process of paper making is completely sustainable as it uses recycled paper!

Heathway Lates is a new project that brings opportunities for residents and organisations to host and be part of sessions in the evening. This summer the Lates sessions are in collaboration with the Dagenham library and will be held in the different spaces within, so join your neighbours and get involved! Have you seen the Aeroponics unit in the Dagenham Heathway shop? For this session you will be able to learn how to start the process of growing without soil.

It’s time to put the aeroponics machine together and give the seedlings the best start! Join this exciting session where you’ll be able to learn how to assemble the machine.

RECIPE SHARING

MINDFULNESS

Join in, share and swap your favourite recipes with your neighbours. Bring along any recipe that you love and help collate a book full of local residents’ favourite recipes!

This session is an opportunity to be conscious of how you look after yourself and discuss all things Mindfulness. Meet at the library and join this session with Vince!
