NEW PRODUCTS FOR GEN 3 HONDA GROMS

We’ve got the Honda Grom covered with accessories like a groovy freeway bar, a solo rack, a backrest with its optional rack, and a nifty turn-signal relocator. These accessories are available in a gloss black finish only. And to make the bike sound better and perform better we’ve crafted a 50-state legal muffler in black with a rolled tip with either a lollipop red end cap and badge or a bronzed version. All products are made in the USA.

Now and Then

The world of Parts Unlimited was showcased last month at a convention center in Milwaukee for the semi-annual NVP Dealer Expo. The Baird Center made an impressive debut as the new home of the ever-growing Fall event that includes vendor product presentations, and the biggest-ever dealer show yet produced by the LeMans Corporation’s events team. Be sure to check out our report starting on page 18.

Every time I attend a Parts Unlimited dealer show, it makes me think back to the 1990s when we were just getting started with Parts Magazine and working with many of the manufacturers who distribute their products through Parts Unlimited.

Sadly, we lost one of them on July 23rd when my long-time customer and friend Ken Boyko passed away. Most people today would have known Ken from his years at Cobra USA. He was in a business a lot longer than that, though, having worked his whole adult life in some aspect of motorcycling.

He and Tim McCool started Cobra in 1977, making a variety of different exhausts. Then in the 1980s, the plain looking UJMs (Universal Japanese Motorcycles) were big sellers. Ken commissioned a talented builder named Denny Berg to build the first “Metric Cruiser.” Most people didn’t know it at the time, but Cobra had just created a whole new market segment.

In 1993, Fred Fox and I worked out the details to begin publishing Parts Magazine. That was when I started making presentations about the new magazine. One of my first was to Ken. He loved the idea and gave his immediate approval for Cobra to become an advertiser.

He didn’t just run ads with us, though. For many years Ken and the team at Cobra would build new custom Metric cruisers and we’d have the full story ready for the unveiling at the annual Cincinnati and later, Indianapolis, dealer shows.

Approximately ten years ago, Ken went through health issues that ultimately resulted in him receiving a heart transplant. He had a first-class medical team that did the successful operation and Ken had been under their watch ever since. He retired from Cobra a couple of years later, but the company has carried on and continues to be a leading manufacturer of high-end exhaust and accessories for Metric Cruisers such as Honda Rebels, and also for the Honda Groms.

on Saturday,

And, 31 years after Ken gave the green light for Cobra to become an advertising customer, I’m proud and appreciative that they are still with us. Godspeed old friend. ■

A Celebration of Life of Ken Boyko will be held
October 19th, starting at 12:30. It will be held at the Balboa Yacht Club, located at 1801 Bayside Drive, Corona del Mar, CA 92625.
Farewell to an old friend, Ken Boyko. 1951-2024. For years, Cobra unveiled some amazing Metric Cruisers at the motorcycle dealer shows and we had the full story in Parts Magazine.

Crowned Back-to-Back 250SMX Champion

THOR/Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan again earned his crown as a SuperMotocross World Champion with his second consecutive 250MX title and again took home the $500,000 prize for the feat. Photos courtesy of Yamaha

THOR/Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan’s reign continued as he sealed the deal on his second consecutive 250SMX title with a runner-up overall finish (1-2) at the SuperMotocross World Championship Final in Las Vegas.

Coming into the final round with a 19-point lead, Deegan showed no signs of slowing down and once again topped the timesheets in 250SMX qualifying. From there, he got a flying start to grab his thirdconsecutive holeshot and scored his fifth-consecutive moto win in the SMX post season.

In Moto 2, the reigning 250SMX champ went to work and made his way to second, where he would cross the line. His 1-2 moto score secured a runner-up overall finish and kept the number-one plate firmly planted on his YZ250F.

It was a stellar sophomore season for the THOR-clad Deegan. He claimed both the Pro Motocross 250MX and 250SMX SuperMotocross World Championship, as well as a runner-up finish in the Monster Energy AMA Supercross 250SX East Championship.

“It feels good. Back-to-back is definitely a dream come true,” Deegan said. “I worked my butt off ever since I was a kid to get here, so thank you to my family, my team Star Racing Yamaha, my trainer Swaney, just everyone in my circle. Man, it takes a big team to do this, and a lot of hard work, so thank you, guys.” ■

NEWS EVENTS AND Christy LaCurelle Selected as President

and Chief Executive Officer of MIC, MSF, SVIA, and ROHVA

The independent boards of the Motorcycle Industry Council, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, Specialty Vehicle Institute of America and the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association voted to select Christy LaCurelle as President and Chief Executive Officer of all four powersports associations, representing stakeholders across the industry.

“I have made it my life’s work to help as many people as possible learn and love life on two, three, and four wheels, and being able to bring my marketing expertise and powersports passion to lead these associations is a privilege,” said LaCurelle. “I am looking forward to working with the teams to get more people riding and driving, to take training, and to always practice safe riding and driving habits whether they are on the road or the trail.”

LaCurelle has a track record of building platforms and teams that create engaged riders and safety enthusiasts. “With Christy’s twenty years of experience, spanning all aspects of powersports, and deep industry connections, she will be able to hit the ground running and lead the teams to continued success,” said Derek Brooks, Chair of the Motorcycle Industry Council.

“Christy’s work and long-standing commitment to motorcycle safety will serve riders, RiderCoaches, and the broader training community well,” said Croft Long, Chair of the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. “We are looking forward to her leading the MSF team in rider education expansion, recruiting more RiderCoaches, and growing the interest and demand for rider safety and education.”

“Earlier this year, the boards assembled a search committee to identify a leader for all four associations. I would like to thank the internal teams for their patience through this search process. This comprehensive process enabled us to connect with many qualified candidates and ultimately find that Christy is the best person to lead the organizations and its talents to seize opportunities and work through challenges with success,” said Marc-Andre Deschenes, Chair of the Specialty Vehicle Institute of America.

Despite already having enormous workloads, Scott and Diana graciously and deftly led the staff through this time of tremendous change while achieving some remarkable results,” said Ryan Stiver, Chair of the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association. “Scott and Diana have

ensured these associations will have a seamless transition for Christy to take us into the next chapter.”

LaCurelle started with the Associations at the beginning of September.

“I am looking forward to joining the team, learning about the work, and leading the team to greater results in the future,” said LaCurelle. ■

Unprecedented: Mees Completes Bid for History at 2024 Progressive AFT Finale

Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties/Indian rider Jared Mees put the finishing touches on what may prove the final and most convincing argument in support of his claim as the greatest rider in the history of Progressive American Flat Track, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing – an unprecedented 10th Grand National Championship.

Mees did exactly what he needed to – and then some – at Lake Ozark Speedway in September to secure this crowning achievement as the 2024 season came to its conclusion with the inaugural running of the Parts Plus Lake Ozark Short Track.

Racing before a packed house with some 125,000 motorcycle enthusiasts flooding the area for the 18th Annual Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest, the Mission AFT SuperTwins Main Event was loaded with talented riders motivated to end their respective 2024 campaigns on a high note.

Mees finished the season – and potentially his career – on top in practically every sense, winning the season finale by 0.423 seconds over Dallas Daniels, who finished second.

Mees’ résumé is far too extensive to list here in full, but in brief, the night’s championship triumph updated his Grand National Championship victory tally to now include 2009, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. He also ranks first or second in the career wins rankings for HalfMiles, Short Tracks, Miles, and total GNC Main Event victories.

Mees joined forces with Indian Motorcycle in 2017, and quickly elevated the profile of the marque’s remarkable FTR750. The 2024 season is the last for the FTR750, which is now ineligible to race because of an AFT rule change. Mees’ championship secures the bike a perfect eight-for-eight record in Grand National Championship battles.

In the end, Mees earned the 2024 Mission AFT SuperTwins title with 311 points. “It was a goal. Everybody would say it was a dream, but it was a goal,” said Mees. “I made my dream my goal and worked hard at it. It hasn’t even sunk in yet. I had a big points lead coming in here, but there was only one way to go out the way I want to go out, and that was by winning this damn race.” ■

NEWS EVENTS AND Off-Road Racing Update

MOOSE RACING RIDERS MAKE HISTORY

The 2024 off-road racing season has plenty of star power in its premiere ranks, but a look at the 250cc divisions will reveal the most intense bar-tobar racing of the year, starring a number of Moose Racing athletes who are serving notice that the stars of tomorrow are here.

Grant Davis of the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers ignited the postsummer GNCC season with a landmark overall win at the Buckwheat 100, the Moose Racing-backed rider is only the second XC2 250 Pro rider in history to best the entire XC1 field. Davis’ win came on the heels of a shoulder injury suffered at the Grassman National Enduro only weeks earlier.

Davis is also on the edge of clinching the GNCC XC2 championship early, as he looks to ride his win-streak to close out the season.

The overall winner at the Mountaineer GNCC, round 11 of the season, was another Moose Racing star, Jordan Ashburn. The Coastal GasGas Factory Racing rider reminded everyone of his 2022 national championship by claiming his first win of the season.

Davis is also closing in on the NE Pro2 title in the National Enduro Championship, but has his work cut out for him, dueling with Moose Racing rider Nathaniel “Bubz” Tasha of the AmPro Yamaha team. Tasha broke Grant Davis’ win streak at the Cherokee National Enduro, and decided he enjoyed winning, and helped himself to his second-career NE Pro2 victory at the following round in Ohio at the Little Raccoon National Enduro.

The duo will bring the NE Pro2 battle down to the final round in November.

In the U.S. Sprint Enduro scene, Landers KTM’s Angus Riordan is currently defending his Pro 2 title with a win-streak, though not without some close battles. Riordan also remains a solid top-five overall contender in the USSE, often right on the cusp of the Pro podium.

Phoenix Racing Honda’s Cody Barnes has also brought Moose Racing a number of national podiums. Barnes took his first overall podium, and best finish to date, at round five of the USSE, when he finished third overall by one second.

Out West, racing remained largely on hiatus during the hot summer months. As the off-road season resumed, the Utah WORCS round saw Moose Racing’s Kaitlyn Jacobs succeed in defending her Women’s Pro Championship. The FMF RPM KTM rider put in another dominant performance to re-establish her number-one plate.

Brandy Richards continues to cast a big shadow in women’s racing in the east, as she has utterly dominated the U.S. Sprint Enduro series. After an up-and-down start to her GNCC season, the FMF KTM Factory Racing Team Landers racer is also finding her way to consistency, and enjoyed victory at the Buckwheat 100 and the Mountaineer.

Several more rounds, and many championships are still to come for Moose Racing-backed athletes in the 2024 off-road race season. ■

Deegan Crowned 250MX Champion at Budds Creek

THOR/Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan ensured his first Pro Motocross 250MX Championship with a dominant victory in August in the first moto at the penultimate round in Mechanicsville, Maryland.

After being crowned, the young Californian raced on to secure third overall with his 1-10 moto score at the Budds Creek Motocross Park.

Heading into the penultimate round with a 70-point lead in the championship, Deegan showed no signs of slowing down and topped both qualifying sessions. From there, he grabbed the holeshot and built a big lead up front. Although he had a tipover late in the moto, he quickly rejoined and won the race by a healthy 12-second margin, securing the title three motos early.

It’s been a stellar sophomore season for the 18-year-old, with five overall wins and nine moto wins en route to the title. ■

WISCONSIN

– SEPTEMBER 7-8

Photos by Todd Olson unless otherwise noted

Everybody in the LeMans Corporation universe knows that not only does Fall mean the countdown to the coming sales season, it also heralds the return of the North American NVP Product Expo.

The NVP is the event to attend to get a first look at all of the new parts, accessories and apparel that your customers will be clamoring for when the Spring riding season hits. It’s also the chance for dealers to meet face-to-face with their sales reps and the new and existing Drag Specialties and Parts Unlimited vendors.

For 2024, the North American NVP Product Expo moved to new digs in Milwaukee to debut at the newly expanded Baird Center on September 7-8. By all accounts, the event exceeded expectations and broke new ground with its most extensive floor plan in history. With an impressive turnout of vendors and attendees, the expo highlighted the latest V-Twin, metric and bicycling innovations, thus solidifying its place as in the lineup of must-attend events.

The expanded venue at the Baird Center offered an updated, more spacious layout, accommodating a record number of new and returning vendors. Attendees were treated to an impressive array of products, innovative technology, and hands-on demos, including an exciting lineup of E-Bike highlights.

One of the most popular attractions was the interactive E-Bike demo area, where guests experienced the latest E-Bike technology firsthand. Capping off the excitement was an e-bike credit giveaway, adding a valuable incentive for dealers looking to invest in this growing segment.

Prior to the kick-off of the show, Parts Unlimited sales reps took part in two days of intensive product education with a huge range of key V-Twin vendors. Through multiple hands-on sessions, your reps received the kind of insider knowledge that will come in handy for your store’s staff of product professionals.

Just as the doors opened to the main show floor, dealers were also invited to attend exclusive product training with brand specialists from Custom Dynamics, Legends Suspensions, Saddlemen and S&S Cycle. At these seminars, dealers received the full scoop on a range of new and popular products.

A highlight of the weekend was the Saturday night Bike Show and Meet & Greet at The Mecca Sports Bar, located in Milwaukee’s vibrant Deer District. With enthusiasts gathering from across the region, the event featured a thrilling stunt show sponsored by ICON. Perfect weather added to the festive atmosphere, making it a memorable evening for attendees.

As always, the 2024 North American NVP Product Expo also served as the chance to network with longtime friends, catch up on industry news, get some in-person facetime with trusted colleagues and generally immerse oneself in the LeMans Corporation universe. It’s the kind of opportunity that makes the NVP a top event on the industry calendar.

“This year’s expo set a new standard,” said Paul Devine, Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “The energy was unmatched, and the turnout and the variety of new vendors were incredible.”

Save the Date! The excitement continues in 2025, with the Louisville NVP Product Expo set to take place on January 25-26 in Louisville, Kentucky. Talk with your Parts Unlimited sales rep for details on how to attend.

Balancing Act

A True 50/50 Tire for Adventure Bikes

Most motorcycle tires do one thing very well, whether that’s performing on the street or off-road. Finding a tire that does both without compromising in one area or the other is a little trickier, but Avon proves it can be done. The TrekRider tire is a true 50 percent on-road, 50 percent off-road tire designed to offer the best of both worlds.

The TrekRider is in Avon’s Adventure Sport category, and the tire is designed for riders who tend to split their time between paved roads and off-road environments. The TrekRider tire is an ideal choice for smalldisplacement up to medium-displacement Adventure bikes.

The aggressive tread pattern of the TrekRider tire is designed to handle gravel, mud and even some rocks with skill. Sloped grooves were incorporated into the design to resist movement, so the bike remains stable in all riding conditions.

The compound of the tires adds to this versatility, offering grip on different types of terrain. And when the terrain encountered with a 50/50 tire can be anything from asphalt

to mud, that means the compound has to be very precisely formulated to provide grip in each scenario.

Any tire used for off-road riding needs to be malleable enough to adapt to the terrain yet durable enough to stand up to the hazards of riding on trails, fire roads or even where no roads exist at all. The TrekRider tire has that necessary flexibility, and the beveled edges are specially designed to resist tearing.

That flexibility is balanced with tire construction techniques that give the TrekRider high-speed stability, so a bike fitted with the tires will feel solid and predictable even on the highway. And, thanks to the profiles of both the front and rear TrekRider tire, the on-road handling is smooth, and cornering feels stable.

Additionally, the TrekRider provides a smooth, quiet ride on paved roads. This is typically a tricky feat for an on-road/off-road tire, but Avon has been able to minimize road noise for a more relaxing, quieter ride. Avon offers the TrekRider tire in three front and four rear sizes, and for riders who want an extra level of durability, the TrekRider can accommodate tubes. ■

Head-Turning Helmets

Futuristic Graphics and High-Tech Design

Designing motorcycle helmets and apparel is hard work, but it can be fun, too. ICON blends high-tech features and materials with design aspects that are guaranteed to turn heads, and the brand’s latest releases are proof of that. The new graphics for the Airframe Pro and Domain helmets are sure to grab attention.

The Airframe Pro Reentry Helmet looks like a metal construct in danger of melting. In truth, it’s an eye-catching graphic laid down on a handmade composite fiberglass FRP shell. That material makes the Airframe Pro strong but lightweight, and the minimal-drag shaping adds to the performance-minded design. The neckline is specially sculpted to avoid interference with a riding jacket or leather suit.

There are an ample nine intake vents and seven exhaust ports on the Airframe Pro Reentry. The sweat-wicking Hydradry liner helps keep things cool, too, and it can be removed and washed. Another bonus is that the liner is a five-piece setup, and the padding components allow a rider to customize the fit for maximum comfort.

ICON’s Airframe Pro Reentry features eye-catching graphics on a helmet designed for comfort and protection.

Up front, the Airframe Pro Reentry Helmet features a FogFree Optics shield, which provides a distortion-free view of the road ahead. Riders who want to use tear-offs can upgrade to the ICON TracShield, which is available separately.

ICON’s latest graphic for the Domain helmet is the metallic, cyberpunk look of the Domain Future Proof. As sleek as the helmet looks on the outside, what’s underneath the handmade composite fiberglass FRP shell is even more noteworthy.

ICON designed the Domain helmet to accommodate the HelmLink Bluetooth communicator, which was developed along with SENA Communications. Mesh technology and Bluetooth 5 allow as many as 20 riders to connect, and the extended battery life makes long trips more convenient.

The rear neckline of the Domain helmet is sculpted to accommodate the rear control unit and access port of the HelmLink. Two benefits of this placement are that the control unit’s flashing red light increases visibility, and the shaping of the neckline makes it easier to take the helmet on and off.

Other features of the Domain helmet include 4 intake vents and a large exhaust vent, a moisture-wicking Hydradry liner and an oversized Fog-Free Domain shield.

Both the Airframe Pro and Domain helmets are DOT/ECE/ PSC-certified.

The Aerosol Experts

A Spray for Every Task

When it comes to aerosol products, Maxima has effective offerings in nearly every category, making it a go-to for equipping any shop or home garage. With a spray for every task, you can turn to Maxima for everything from restoring shine with award-winning SC1 High Gloss Coating to keeping drivetrains running well with a high-quality chain lube, Chain Wax. Whatever the need, Maxima has an aerosol to tackle the job.

Everyone should have a can of SC1. This is a versatile product that cleans, shines, protects and lubricates. Dull-looking plastics? SC1 isn’t called “New Bike in a Can” for nothing. Want to keep dirt and mud from sticking inside fenders? Mist them down with SC1 and prepare to be impressed. Got stiff and stubborn bodywork grommets? SC1 works as well as silicone spray. SC1 restores that factory shine, and helps repel dirt and grime so bikes stay clean longer. It’s safe on paint, plastic, vinyl, rubber, and carbon fiber.

Maxima’s chain lubes are workshop essentials as well, and they’ve all earned accolades from Motocross Action Magazine, RacerX, VitalMX and Dirt Bike Magazine. Chain Wax is a favorite thanks to its ability to work well in dry or wet conditions. Featuring a paraffin wax base and a strong heptane carrier agent, Chain Wax coats links to provide a durable and effective layer of protection. Chain Wax is highly water repellant for wet conditions and clean running in dry, dirty environments, making it a great lube for mixed conditions.

For wet weather riding or customers who want their chains to look super clean, Maxima’s Chain Guard is a great choice. This fully synthetic lube is famous for its crystal-clear appearance. It’s also exceptionally water resistant and is great for keeping chains lubricated and protected from corrosion in foul weather. The formula contains a healthy dose of tackifiers, so once the lube sets up it stays put and won’t fling onto wheels or bodywork.

A rising star in Maxima’s cleaner class and a favorite of suspension techs is Suspension Clean. This professional-strength cleaner is specifically designed to purge suspension parts of oil and grime. It’s a powerful solvent that dries quickly and doesn’t leave a residue, so parts are ready for immediate assembly.

Finally, there’s the MVP of the garage, MPPL (MultiPurpose Penetrating Lube).

This is an all-purpose penetrating lube that displaces water and provides rust and corrosion protection for metal parts. Use MPPL wherever rusted or corroded parts need freeing, or as a light lubricant. It also works well as a fogging oil ■

Adventure Meets Sporty

Designing an Enduro Street Tire

The Adventure Touring segment continues to thrive, and Pirelli is ready to help riders get the best experience possible with a range of tires designed for all types of riding styles. The new SCORPION Trail III is an enduro street tire for excellent performance on asphalt and light off-road usage.

The SCORPION Trail III is the sportiest SCORPION tire yet from Pirelli, boasting solid grip, handling and mileage characteristics while maintaining a classic enduro look. A step up from the previous iteration, the SCORPION Trail II, this new tire has improved road handling thanks to its updated characteristics.

The team at Pirelli designed the SCORPION Trail III for medium-displacement and larger Adventure and crossover bikes that are fitted with 17-inch through 21-inch front tires. Many riders favor these motorcycles for longdistance journeys on paved roads mixed with some light off-road riding, and the SCORPION Trail III tire is designed to perfectly match that combination, too, with a 95 percent on-road, 5 percent off-road setup.

The enduro-style tread design has been updated with the aim of improving stability and riding precision. To achieve this, design elements of Pirelli’s DIABLO sport range were integrated into the enduro look and performance. Grooves on the central band provide both efficient water evacuation and lateral riding stability on softer terrain. Additional grooves on the central and shoulder areas of the SCORPION Trail III provide traction on all surfaces, including dirt.

In keeping with the sportier feel of the SCORPION Trail III tire, the structure and profiles share common traits with the SuperSport and Sport Touring tires in the Pirelli range. The front tire features a 0-degree steel belt, which ensures stability even at high speeds. The rear tire has a rigid structure that enhances its sporty handling and stability, even when the bike is fully loaded for a long-distance adventure. Both the front and rear tires have a multi-radius profile to further enhance stability and handling performance.

Riders have to be prepared for any kind of weather, and the SCORPION Trail III offers confidence on both wet and dry surfaces. The compounds for the front and rear are 100 percent silica-based for grip even on those cold, wet days. The rear tire has a dual-compound design that features a softer compound on the shoulders for optimized cornering grip. The harder center compound makes sure the tire continues to perform as the miles add up.

Longevity is important for a road-focused enduro tire, but durability is a must in any tire that’s tackling dirt roads. The SCORPION Trail III is designed for abrasion resistance, so dirt roads can be ridden with full confidence that the tire is up to the task. ■

Off-Track Gear

A Wide-Ranging Casual Lineup for 2025

Your customers will appreciate the finer details of Tour jackets, like the integrated hood with a high neck cover, adjustable cuffs and zippered, lined pockets that keep valuables dry and secure. Whether riders want to stand out with an eye-catching design or are looking for something clean and simple, Tour jackets are available with either, in sizes ranging from S – 2XL.

The Tour jacket is a great tool to keep on hand, but sometimes wet weather calls for something a bit more specific. Designed and built to keep moisture out and remain lighter weight at the same time, THOR’s Unit light shell jacket stands fast against blustery winds and inclement weather.

You may be surprised to learn that there are actually garment ratings for how water resistant and breathable assembled material is. The experts at THOR ensured that the Unit light shell jacket meets impressive measurements of 10k water resistance and 8k breathability (those figures translate to a decent level of waterproofing, while staying comfortable). This is all in conjunction with two-way stretch material and elastic cuffs, maximizing mobility.

Just a few weeks ago, it would’ve been tough to imagine throwing on a jacket with the high end-of-summer temps seen in many parts of the country. Yet now, there’s a hint of those crisp fall mornings back in the air, which means there will be some chilly track days ahead. Your customers know THOR has them covered when it’s time to suit up for the ride, but for 2025, THOR also put together next-generation casuals to keep your customers comfortable on the way to the track.

Dewy mornings with low temps usually shape up to epic riding conditions, but sometimes a hoody or regular jacket just doesn’t cut it to block that pre-ride chill. Thankfully, THOR’s Tour heavyweight jacket is designed and built for these exact situations. The best thing about Tour jackets is that they hold in plenty of warmth without being too bulky and uncomfortable thanks to premium construction and materials.

Water-resistant material and taped seams line the outside to keep moisture out, while poly insulation inside maximizes warmth. Plus, a drop tail in the back is designed to help keep that warmth locked in. All these design elements work together to create a jacket that looks like it came right out of a factory race team rig.

THOR’s Tour jacket is a great heavyweight option in the brand’s new range of casual apparel.
When the weather calls for a lightweight coverup, THOR’s Unit jacket fits the bill.

Unit light shell jackets are available in both tan and black, both in S – 2XL sizes.

Moving from jackets to something a bit more universal, THOR’s 2025 lineup of hats has something for everyone. Many customers would agree you can never have too many hats. A hat for work, a hat to keep in the truck, a hat for a weekend trip – it’s good to have options!

Thankfully, there’s no shortage of hat options from THOR, including different styles of snapbacks, beanies and even straw hats. Riders will want to throw on a THOR Shadow hat while they’re working in the garage or after a moto, then switch to something like a Rogue, Badge or Iconic snapback on the way out the door to dinner.

THOR’s 2025 hat range includes an impressive breadth of materials and designs. The new THOR badge is proudly emblazoned on the hats with differ ent media and methods, ranging from stamping to puff embroidery to 3D direct injection and patches. Hat construction itself ranges from using moisture-resistant material to comfortable woven fabric, and the range of colors and designs ensures there’s always a THOR hat option to match the look of the day.

Jackets and hats just scratch the surface of THOR’s 2025 casual line. THOR carried its commitment to quality and style throughout a number of different tees, hoodies and jackets for both men and women.

Starting with the ladies, THOR is proud to offer even more options designed and cut for females for 2025. THOR supports some of the best women in motocross, too, and they were consulted on fit and finish to make sure all the boxes were checked. From full length to waist-landing pullovers to blended tees and crop tops, THOR is ready to have women proudly showing their love for moto anywhere they go.

In men’s style and sizes, the 2025 line boasts a wide variety of tees, zip-ups and pullovers, all in varying colors and designs. Filling your racks or your online stores with this range of new swag is sure to catch the eye of almost any of your customers.

Of course, THOR didn’t forget about the young rippers, either. The newest generation of riders and moto fans can match mom and dad with brand-new pullovers and tees in youth sizes and styles as well.

On top of a next-gen lineup of racewear and gear for 2025, customers can continue expressing their passion for the sport with this lineup of anytime moto apparel. ■

Service Staples High-Quality Products for Maintenance

When it comes to servicing motorcycles, there are a lot of products that should be on hand in any professional shop, or in a rider’s garage. From grease options to cleaners, it’s important to have the right combination of things to make service tasks easier. And, by using quality products like those from LIQUI MOLY, mechanics and riders alike can have confidence that the work is being done well.

Grease is a staple in any shop, and LIQUI MOLY’s LongLife Grease + MoS2 is a high-performance grease that is ideal for use on parts like steering head and swingarm bearings, foot peg pins and clutch pivots. The lubrication qualities found in MoS2 make it an ideal additive to grease used on parts that are under extreme loads or exposed to high temperatures. Long-Life Grease + MoS2 is great for reliability, corrosion protection and reduced wear.

Because the moving parts of a motorcycle are so different from each other, it’s important to have different formulations of grease, too. LIQUI MOLY LM 50 Litho HT Grease is especially effective on fast-spinning bearings with a high load, like wheel bearings. The grease can handle high pressures, high temperatures and high loads, making it great for those kinds of hard-working bearings.

Battery Clamp Grease is a very specific type of lubricant, but that’s because components like battery terminals and electrical contacts deserve a different level of care. This grease ensures safe starting of the motorcycle and helps extend battery life. It also prevents acid damage or any current leakage from the battery. The formula is great on electrical connections, but it is compatible with most plastics, so it can be used without worrying about damage to other parts of a bike.

Another LIQUI MOLY product aimed at the electrical components of a motorcycle is Electronic Spray. This fully synthetic, silicone-free contact spray is specifically designed for electronic systems, so it can clean and protect electrical connectors. Even contaminated contacts can be revived with this spray since it is strong enough to penetrate layers of oxide and sulfide deposits. Corrosion like that can’t stand up to the Electronic Spray, but it is gentle enough that it won’t harm paints, plastics or rubber.

Keeping things running smoothly is what LIQUI MOLY grease options excel at, but it’s also important to make sure things are installed smoothly. LM 48 Installation Paste is ideal for assembling engines and gearboxes. In addition to providing outstanding adherence, even on polished surfaces, the installation paste also provides corrosion protection. Additionally, it prevents dry-run damage at startup. ■

Sport-Touring and Adventure Tires Smart Choice

Getting a Sport-Touring bike ready for a journey begins with choosing the right tires, and Dunlop’s Roadsmart IV tire offers outstanding performance in both wet and dry conditions, giving riders excellent handling and longevity from the first mile to the last.

Dunlop designed the Roadsmart IV tire to meet all the performance and durability demands of riders on medium-to-heavyweight Sport-Touring bikes. The tire also gives sportbike riders an option that provides sportier handling characteristics in all weather conditions as well as high mileage.

The Roadsmart IV tire is also a popular choice for Adventure bike riders who spend most of their journey on paved roads. To accommodate this segment, Dunlop offers the Roadsmart IV in 120/70ZR19 and 170/60ZR17 sizes, which

fit most of the mid-size and larger Adventure bikes used for long-haul touring.

Finding the balance between high mileage and a sportbike-level of grip and handling can be a challenge, and Dunlop packed the Roadsmart IV with a host of materials and technologies to achieve just the right blend.

Dunlop’s Hi Silica X increases the amount of silica in the compound, improving both wet-weather grip and braking. Meanwhile, Dunlop incorporated its MT Multi-Tread Technology into the Roadsmart IV rear tire, featuring three compounds layered vertically. The result is excellent grip in wet and dry conditions, quicker warm-up and performance that stays consistent throughout the lifespan of the tire. By incorporating fine carbon into the Roadsmart IV compounds, the tire is able to deliver on its high mileage while also aiding grip, making it a real breakthrough in tire technology.

The Roadsmart IV tread patterns have an optimized design to improve grip and handling, and the patterns help maintain more even wear across the life of the tire. At the same time, the tread patterns are efficient in the wet to aid handling on those rainy days.

One of the best places to see the sportbike-inspired characteristics of the Roadsmart IV tire is in the profiles of both the front and rear. Designed for precise, predictable handling, the profiles result in a smooth turn-in and less required steering input. This is especially favorable on twisty roads, where riders can corner with more ease, resulting in a ride that’s more fun and less tiring.

To help get the word out about the Roadsmart IV, Dunlop maintains a strong presence at local, regional and national BMW events, including BMWMOA, BMWRA rallies and BMW Demos. This allows riders to experience the feel of the Roadsmart IV for themselves and get detailed information from the Dunlop reps. Then, the riders simply need to visit their local dealer to get their bike outfitted with the Roadsmart IV. ■

Track Tested

Chains Designed for Competition

Current and future chain technology is developed in the RK Chain’s cutting-edge R&D centers and thoroughly tested at the racetrack. What the company learns on the racetrack through testing and perfecting then results in products that ultimately find their way to your dealership. One such chain is RK’s XRU roadracing specific chain.

XRU PROFESSIONAL RACING CHAIN

The XRU was designed for professional MotoGP/Word Superbike racing, however the versatile chain can also be used in other professional racing classes. Grand National Champion Jared Mees is currently racing with the GB520XRU in the American Flat Track SuperTwins series. In fact, Mees won an unprecedented 10th Grand National Championship in 2024 after tying the nine set previously by Scott Parker.

XRE SERIES CHAINS

RK’s XRE chains are designed for daily use as well as for professional track and off-road racing. They provide great high-speed, extreme heat performance.

While XRU was designed for track racing, RK’s XRE chains are designed for daily use as well as for professional track and off-road racing. It is a popular chain for races such as the FIM World Endurance championship to Dakar Rally races. XRE series chains feature a 20 percent longer wearlife compared to previous RK model XSO series chains.

XRU chains feature thin UW-Ring seals that reduce friction, while maintaining optimal horsepower delivery from the start of the race to the end. XRU was developed in collaboration with MotoGP and World Superbike teams to produce a high-quality racing chain. The XRU is designed for track use only, and is not recommended for general street use. For general street use refer to XRE or ZXW series chains.

XRE chains include XW-Sealing rings that provide two lubrication pools to help protect against high-speed abrasion, and to prevent dirt and debris from penetrating the inner rollers/bushings of the chain.

XW-Ring chains offer great high-speed, extreme heat performance, and are designed for a variety of environments from the street to off-road. XRE chains are a perfect balance between high tensile strength and light weight while maximizing chain wearlife. They are available in 520, 525 or 530 pitch.

CHAIN MAINTENANCE

All sealed chains require routine cleaning and maintenance to perform as designed. RK recommends that your techs and customers use a cleaner specific to motorcycle chains and is designed to be used on sealed chains.

Do not use brake cleaner, engine cleaner, kerosene, mineral spirits, diesel fuel, brake cleaner, motor oil or any agent that contains acid or caustic chemicals. These harsh ingredients can damage the chain’s seals, reducing the performance and wear life of the chain and their use will void the chain’s warranty. ■

PERFORMANCE FIT COMBINED WITH FLEXIBLE, BREATHABLE

MATERIALS

High-Performance Off-Road Racewear Designed for Champions

Since its debut in 2020, Moose Racing’s Agroid racewear line has become a popular choice among pro racers and casual riders alike. The high-performance jerseys and pants are designed to give riders premium comfort, even in the toughest, most competitive environments.

Moose Racing’s Joel Hetrick just won his 5th ATV motocross championship while wearing Agroid gear, showing that the gear has all the characteristics top riders are looking for.

The 2025 Agroid racewear line has three new colorways to choose from, including a brown/black combo as well as navy/white/pink and blue/white. Sizing ranges from XS to 3X for the jersey and the pants include sizes in 26-30 Slim and 28-42.

Racing has been a part of the Agroid line’s DNA since the start. Moose Racing set out to design jerseys and pants that would excel in competition. That meant the pieces had to provide ease of movement, cooling properties and a professional look.

As a result, the Agroid line features lightweight, flexible materials combined with athletic styling. Riders have a full range of motion on the bike, but the cut of each piece is designed to not be bulky or oversized. Premium details were added to ensure top quality, like the sublimated graphics that won’t fade.

Since the team at Moose Racing designed the Agroid line with racing in mind, top professional off-road riders were involved throughout the development process. Racers,

including Hetrick, would field-test the pieces at the track or on the trail, then provide feedback to Moose Racing about what worked and what didn’t. The Agroid designs were refined until they were ideally suited to the needs of off-road racers.

The Agroid jersey is made from a lightweight stretch polyester that helps wick moisture away from the rider’s body. Laser-cut ventilation holes provide plenty of airflow to keep things cool. The stretch mini-cuffs keep the sleeves in place without binding, and the stretch collar is designed for soft comfort, too.

The Agroid jersey is also designed to accommodate hydration packs. The back and shoulder areas have strategically placed laser-cut and taped holes, so you can run the hydration pack hose through the jersey to keep it from getting snagged on any obstacles.

The Agroid pants also feature laser-cut ventilation holes to keep air flowing over the rider’s body. The sublimated graphics of both the jersey and pants are breathable, too, so the bright colors don’t hinder heat dissipation.

The pants are made of a durable stretch woven polyester that is lightweight yet tough. Stretch ripstop polyester panels on the knees and seat add an extra layer of durability, as do the full-grain leather knee panels. Stretch panels in the knees allow the pants to fit easily over knee braces or guards while still maintaining a slim, athletic look. ■

Moose Racing/Kawasaki rider JoJo Cunningham counts on Moose’s Agroid gear to help him get across the finish line first. Agroid racewear is designed to excel in competition.

Joel Hetrick: Undefeated

The Teamwork Behind a Perfect Season

Setting a new record takes hard work, the right mentality and a solid team to support you. Luckily for AMA Pro ATVMX racer Joel Hetrick, he’s backed by Phoenix Racing Yamaha and a host of sponsors like Moose Racing.

This year, Joel had the first-ever perfect season in ATVMX. He did it wearing Moose Racing Agroid and Sahara racewear.

“The team and the support I have from all my sponsors, including Moose Racing, has to be the biggest part of my undefeated season,” Joel says. He also credits his mechanic’s meticulous work. “My mechanic, Gary Schlentz, probably had more stress than I did at my last few races.”

Stress or not, Gary prepared a flawless machine for Joel to take to the finish line. In fact, Joel was able to wrap up his 5th series championship one round early. For anyone else, that would mean the pressure was off heading into the season finale at Loretta Lynn’s.

With an undefeated season, though, Joel was feeling the pressure to keep his streak alive and claim the first-ever perfect season. “It was hard to perform at my best because I was so stressed about the opportunity right there in front of me,” Joel says of the final race.

Moose Racing/Phoenix Racing

Yamaha rider Joel Hetrick counts on Moose’s racewear while in the heat of competition. In fact, the AMA Pro ATVMX rider scored the firstever perfect ATVMX season wearing Agroid and Sahara racewear.

The fans, family and friends who were watching got to see history being made. For Joel, though, he says all he felt at the finish line was relief. The reality of his accomplishment hadn’t quite hit him yet.

“When I got to the podium and they started to interview me and talk about how it had never been done in the 40year history of ATVMX, that’s when it really set in that I had done something that no one has ever done,” Joel recalls. And his Moose Racing gear was there to help him get every win of that perfect season. Joel has been a Moose Racing rider for six years, and wears the Agroid gear during the cooler months, then switches to the Sahara gear during the summer since it’s so lightweight and ventilated. Even

with the stress of that final race this season, the Sahara gear helped Joel keep cool under pressure.

Joel says there’s a lot to love about Moose Racing pants and jerseys, but one of his favorite things is the way the pants accommodate knee braces. “I wear a pretty big knee brace, and I’ve had good luck not ripping any of the knees open,” he says. The durability of the gear is a big perk, too. “I’ve worn sets of gear for 2-3 years of practice, and it holds up really good to that.”

Joel wrapped up the season in time to prep for the Quad Cross of Nations in the Czech Republic. It was his 5th time representing Team USA there. ■

Snow Vision A Goggle for Enhanced Visibility

Something as simple as a lens goes a long way in providing crucial protection. But, can a lens go beyond protection and actually help riders to see more of their surroundings? Show colors and contrasts that others can’t see? According to SCOTT Sports, makers of the Amplifier Lens Technology, yes, they absolutely can.

The sporting goods producer originating in Sun Valley, Idaho, recently revealed the all-new SCOTT Prospect 2.0 line of goggles, featuring versions for off-road and snowmobile use. Leading the way for snow sports is the Prospect 2.0 SMB LS, the company’s second-generation flagship snowmobile goggle.

Featuring the AMP LS (light sensitive) lens technology, the Prospect 2.0 SMB LS utilizes photochromic technology to adapt automatically to sunlight intensity, particularly important in a white landscape that can feature blinding glare, or be shrouded by full cloud cover. The light-sensitive quality not only means that one lens can handle a range of conditions, but the Amplifier Lens Technology can enhance contrast and clarity. This can mean a better eye for detail, and finding the curves and slopes in the bleach-white terrain, allowing your customers to navigate with greater speed and precision.

It’s what SCOTT athlete Valentin Rainer, winner in the 2023 Freeride World Tour, calls a game changer. “The contrast and color definition this lens offers is truly world-class, allowing me to see the exact line I needed to take,” Rainer said.

The Prospect 2.0 SMB LS offers a generous field of vision, while the signature ACS Air Control System and NoSweat Big Three-layer molded face foam with microfiber work to keep vision clear and dry when the going gets sweaty. The Quick Lens Release System is another key feature of the Prospect 2.0 frame, allowing quick and painless lens changes. You can demonstrate for your customers how easy it is to unlock the four lens locking pins instantly rather than wrestling the lens away from the frame.

An extra wide no-slip silicone strap secures the goggles by way of two articulating outriggers, allowing the Prospect 2.0 frame to fit securely, and integrate with varying helmet brands and sizes. Anti-fog lens treatment and 100 percent UV protection complete the Prospect 2.0 SMB LS package. Four different color options are available, each featuring a premium chrome-finish. ■

here are a lot of places you can go with a UTV, which means there are a lot of opportunities to kick up dust and dirt. A little bit of dust isn’t a big deal, but when the riding gets really dirty, an air intake helmet and fresh air system ensure easy breathing.

Moose Racing introduced the Air Intake helmet earlier this year, and now, there is also an air pumper system to go with it. The air pumper comes in two configurations, designed for either two or four people. This setup is ideal for riding UTVs in environments like dunes, or even a dusty short track.

The Air Intake helmet is a full-face helmet with a built-in neck curtain, which helps create a seal to keep all the dirt and dust outside the helmet. Fresh air circulates inside the helmet via the air pumper connection point at the top.

On the outside, the Air Intake helmet features an injectionmolded ABS shell with a sleek black-on-black graphic. The polycarbonate shield is scratch-resistant to stand up to any debris that gets kicked up.

Inside, the moisture-wicking liner and cheek pads help keep things cool, and they can be removed and washed when things need to be freshened up. Intake and exhaust vents channel air through the EPS liner to further increase rider comfort.

While the Air Intake helmet is designed to work with most fresh air systems, Moose Racing helps riders stay cool and eliminate dust with its own air helmet pumper. The pumper’s injection-molded ABS polymer housing has been designed for increased airflow. Combined with the specially built high-static pressure fan, air inside the

system achieves an outstanding pressure and volume to keep the fresh air flowing efficiently. Each helmet air pumper includes a Variable Speed Controller rocker switch for quick adjustments of the airflow volume.

A dual-filtering system offers a double layer of defense against dust, and it helps prevent clogging. The external pre-filter gets most of the dust and debris filtered out before the air hits the internal filter. And, since both filters can be washed with water, it’s no problem to get them cleaned and ready to go for the next ride.

To make mounting easy, each air pumper includes a 12-foot power cord and a Universal Bar Mount. As you’d expect, the two-person air pumper comes with two hoses, while the four-person version has double that.

Moose Racing also has an expandable air pumper hose available separately. This lightweight hose expands from 2 feet to 6 feet for maximum versatility. ■

Ahead of the Storm Help for Tackling Winter’s Worst

This winter, KFI Plow wants to help your customers get control of their surroundings with a great snow removal accessory for UTVs, the new KFI Pro-V UTV Plow. Offering flexibility for a variety of snow removal tasks, the Pro-V Plow is available with either hydraulic or manual operation, allowing users to tackle different conditions and needs, from straight path clearing to angled snow removal.

A key feature of the Pro-V Plow is its independent wing control, enabling each wing to be adjusted separately. Fully extended, the plow spans 80 inches for broad coverage. For tighter spaces or challenging snow conditions, the wings can be adjusted to a 72-inch scoop position or a 75-inch-wide V-shape, providing adaptability for various snow removal scenarios.

The blade stands 21 inches tall without the rubber flap and 28½ inches with the flap, making it capable of handling large amounts of snow. For UTVs with modifications such as high arch A-arms, large tires, lift kits or tracks, the plow features 4 inches of integrated height adjustment in 1-inch increments, ranging from -1 inch

to +3 inches. This ensures the blade stays level across different terrains. For UTVs with pin heights outside this range, leveling kits are available to help align the plow for optimal performance.

Durability is a key aspect of the KFI Pro-V Plow. Its robust steel frame and replaceable poly face ensure it can withstand heavy use while being easy to maintain. The curved poly face is designed to efficiently roll and throw snow, minimizing effort. The plow also features 3-inch diameter Grade 50 steel skids mounted with bolt-on brackets, allowing for height adjustability and long-term protection.

Additionally, a tripping wear bar at the base of the blade protects it from hard obstacles such as rocks or curbs, ensuring it stays intact during tough jobs. The plow is metal-bead-blasted and powder-coated black to protect against rust and wear through harsh winter conditions.

Despite its heavy-duty construction, the Pro-V Plow weighs approximately 260 pounds, making it easy to handle. Hydraulic actuators (optional) allow for remote adjustments via a handheld remote or dash-mounted rocker switches, while the manual version offers handson control with two angle adjustment bars.

Manufactured in the USA, the KFI Pro-V Plow System is backed by a two-year limited warranty. ■

For more information on the KFI Pro-V UTV Plow System, contact your Parts Unlimited sales representative for details, and learn more in the Snow catalog and at www.parts-unlimited.com.

CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT THE RANCH

2024 LORETTA LYNN’S AMA NATIONAL AMATEUR MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIPS

THOR/Yamaha’s Haiden Deegan recently earned his first 250cc Pro Motocross National Championship. Still a teenager, Deegan also won his second consecutive 250cc Class SuperMotocross World Championship.

But these are not the first major championships Deegan has won. Long before he was a 250cc World and National Pro Champion, Deegan was a youngster racing at events like the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross Championships. As an amateur, Deegan won seven Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross Championship titles, with his most recent in 2022 winning the Schoolboy 2 class for 12-17-year-olds. His titles are as follows: 2017 65cc (7-11), 2018 65cc (7-11), 2019 85cc(10-12), 2020 Mini Sr 1(12-14), 2020 Mini Sr 2(13-15). 2021 Supermini 1(12-15), and 2022 Schoolboy 2 (12-17).

The event at Loretta Lynn’s ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee has launched some of the biggest stars in motocross and supercross history. Great riders like Ricky Carmichael, Jeff Emig, Jeremy McGrath, Chase Sexton, James Stewart, Eli Tomac, Ryan Villopoto, and Cooper Webb have all made the pilgrimage to “the Ranch” early in their careers.

The event showcases the next generation of amateur racing talent and for 2024, the 43rd running of the weeklong event in July again highlighted a broad field of promising riders.

Beginning in 1982, the AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Tennessee has grown in both size and prestige. A win at the Ranch can be a premonition of future professional success. The OEMs and their teams use the event to both scout and develop new

Looking Ahead

A New Line of Premium Goggles

If you’re going to win a race, you have to be able to see the finish line. The newest performance products from Alpinestars are motocross goggles designed for premium comfort, optical clarity and moisture management.

AMA Supercross and Pro Motocross veteran Hunter Lawrence has already won two championships with Alpinestars goggles, but he’s far from the only racer who’s been wearing them. Alpinestars teamed up with top motocross and Supercross competitors to develop and test the goggles.

The new lineup of Alpinestars goggles for motocross and off-road riding include the Supertech, Vision 8, Vision 5, Vision 3 and Youth Vision goggles.

The Supertech goggles are a top-ofthe-line option from Alpinestars, and they start with a stiffer outer frame that holds the lens in place for a tight seal against moisture, dirt or any other hazards of racing. The inner frame is made from the brand’s exclusive AFLEX face-forming compound for an exceptional fit, and it works with the 3D-molded face foam to keep moisture moving out of the goggles, while fresh air moves in.

The Supertech, as well as the Vision goggles, also features a wider nose bridge to further increase comfort, relieving pressure on the nose and keeping nasal passages open. The wrap-around outrigger helps with comfort and a firm seal, but it also works with the 13-degree Strap Wedge to help keep the goggles at the perfect angle on the helmet.

The Absolute Vision lenses on the Supertech goggles are made from an impact-resistant polycarbonate material, and they ensure zero visual distortion.

Developed, tested and proven at the highest levels of Supercross and motocross racing, Alpinestars’ Supertech goggles provide fantastic comfort, optical clarity and moisture management.

Alpinestars knows riders want quality but have different budgets, and the Vision 8, Vision 5 and Vision 3 goggles are designed with that in mind. They share a lot of the same characteristics as the Supertech goggles, like the ability to use the Alpinestars ULTRA-WIDE 48mm roll-off system.

The Vision 8 goggles, like the Supertech, have the wrap-around outrigger design and the 13-degree Strap Wedge. The lens is a hard-coated polycarbonate piece that provides anti-fog and anti-scratch performance, plus 100 percent UVA protection. Air flows well thanks to the RAM-AIR design of the outer frame.

Many of the same features can be found on the Vision 5 and Vision 3, including the proprietary frame, performance lens and RAM-AIR ventilation. The biggest difference in the Vision 3 compared to the other two Vision goggles is that it uses a more traditional foam paired with a chamois layer to provide both comfort and moisture management.

Of course, younger riders deserve quality goggles, too, which is why the Vision Youth goggles are the same as the race goggles for adults, but specifically tailored for smaller helmets and face shapes. The same Polyflex frame material, EO15 face foam and moisture-absorbing chamois layer is there, plus the same hard-coated polycarbonate lens to provide an equal level of performance characteristics. Tear-off posts are part of the package, too. ■

The Vision 5 goggle is also packed full of features that provide great comfort, optics and cooling airflow, and uses more traditional foam paired with a chamois layer.

Bye Bye, Bearing

An Easy Way to Remove Blind Bearings

When you can access the backside of a bearing, driving it out is easy. Blind bearings, however, provide a unique challenge. That’s why Motion Pro has its Blind Bearing Remover Kit, which allows your techs and customers to quickly and easily pull bearings out of engine cases, swingarms and other assemblies.

Motion Pro has had a blind bearing kit in its tool lineup for years, but they weren’t content with that setup. The Motion Pro engineers dove back into this set and found a way to make it even better.

The kit now features redesigned collets that apply more expansion force against the bearing’s ID for greater pulling capacity for even quicker, more consistent bearing removal. Compared

to standard expanding collets, this new kit’s precision-machined parts offer 50 percent more force. A burly slide hammer with excellent weight and balance applies the intense, sudden jolt needed to evict bearings from their bores. Those transmission bearings don’t stand a chance!

To make this kit as versatile as possible, it comes with a range of collets – from 8mm to 35mm – to tackle nearly every bearing imaginable, from the cylinder head on down to ATV differentials. As with all of Motion Pro’s tools, this kit is made tough to stand the rigors of professional use. A lifetime limited warranty provides added peace of mind. ■

Ready for Anything A Robust All-Terrain Tire

RWherever your customers ride, High Lifter Tire & Wheel by STI has been there, and it’s what the company designed the XComp ATR to handle. This versatile tire offers an impressive combination of style, traction, ride quality and durability, making it a strong choice for a variety of vehicles and terrains.

Designed with careful attention to detail, the XComp ATR features a radial construction with a 10-ply carcass and two steel belts. This robust design provides exceptional load capacity, durability, and a comfortable ride. Capping that off is an aggressive tread pattern that combines style, traction, and ride quality.

Under Pressure Stainless

Stopping is a function of riding a motorcycle that’s easily taken for granted. Riders will hop on their bike time after time and always expect the brakes to work well, but the truth is, brake system upgrades like steel braided lines from Galfer can make a big difference in performance and durability.

OEM brake lines are constructed primarily of rubber on many different motorcycle models. The downfall to using rubber for a brake line is its natural ability to expand. This means that when a rider pulls the brake lever, the brake master cylinder forces fluid through the line and down the caliper, but the rubber line will expand until it reaches a maximum pressure, delaying the time the rider actually feels optimal brake performance.

Galfer brake lines solve this problem with steel braided construction. Not only is this woven stainless-steel design much more durable than rubber, it does not expand like rubber either, which means the fluid pressure immediately gets transferred through the line without expansion, creating a more positive and direct braking feel with less lever-pull effort.

Stainless steel brake line kits from Galfer are available for a massive range of motorcycles, from off-road to on, and are a simple and effective upgrade to maximize your customers’ braking confidence. ■

Maintenance-Free Chains for Easy Rolling

It may seem like a simple part of a motorcycle, but a drive chain of 120 links is made up of more than 1,600 tiny pieces. Many of these pieces are constantly moving and can be a source of constant maintenance, cleaning and lubricating.

Then along comes Regina Chain’s unique, maintenancefree HPE (High Performance Endurance) Z-ring chain. With the HPE, your customers can say goodbye to a big step in regular motorcycle maintenance.

The Regina HPE chain never needs lube as regular standard chains require. The secret is a unique coating process called Tetrahedral Amorphous Carbon, or “ta-C.” This surfacehardening technology is considered the most advanced of the Diamond Like Carbon coatings – the closest one to an actual diamond, the hardest material on earth.

During the manufacturing process, ta-C is applied to the rollers and bushings, allowing the coating to permanently bond to the chain’s metal. This results in extremely slippery surfaces for an all-around low coefficient of friction, optimizing the power transfer to your rear wheel and

eliminating the need for periodic re-lubrication. No lubing also means no more splatter on your bike to clean up, and money savings on chain lube.

HPE chains do not require ta-C coated sprockets; sprockets must be steel. Regina HPE chains are recommended for use with on-road motorcycles only, and are available in 520 and 525 sizing, from 104 to 128 links. ■
