It’s Show Time!

It seems like just yesterday that we were in Louisville to kick off the 2024 season at the LeMans’ Winter NVP Product Expo. Now fast forward a few weeks to early September, and we’ll be heading to Milwaukee to the new home of the Summer edition of LeMans’ biannual dealer and sales rep convention.

Most of you know the drill about how this long-running convention of Parts Unlimited, Drag Specialties, and Parts Canada sales reps, vendors and dealers comes together. By the time the doors open for the NVP Product Expo on September 7th, your Parts Unlimited sales rep will have already been through two days of new product presentations by the designers and builders of those many great accessory products found in the various ICON, Moose Racing, Moose Utility Division, Parts Unlimited, THOR and Z1R catalogs.

These are the same manufacturer’s representatives that you will be talking to on the show floor. Having both you and your Parts sales rep informed about the products you sell is your insurance policy that once you get home from the NVP, if some product question arises, you can contact your Parts sales rep for the answers you need.

Also, this issue includes a Special Section devoted to the ATV/UTV market. Be sure to check out the many brands and products featured for the huge 4-wheel off-road ATV and Side-by-Side market.

There are no motorcycle dealer events in North America that are larger than the LeMans NVP Product Expos, and for good reason. It’s not too late to get registered; talk to your Parts sales rep today and come be a part of it at the Baird Center in Milwaukee on September 7-8. ■

We’ll see you there!

NEWS EVENTS AND Deegan Scores Back-to-Back Overall Victories at Washougal

THOR/YAMAHA RIDER EXPANDS HIS 250MX LEAD AS SERIES HEADED INTO SUMMER BREAK Photos courtesy of Yamaha

THOR/Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing’s Haiden Deegan returned to the top step of the podium at the Washougal National in late July, riding to a 2-1 result aboard his YZ250F at Round 8 of the Pro Motocross Championship.

His fifth overall victory of the season and second-consecutive overall victory at the venue further strengthened the Californian’s lead in the 250MX Championship as the series headed into its summer break.

Riders were met with tricky conditions that are unique to the Pacific Northwest track in Washougal, Washington, and Deegan had a strong qualifying in third and got a great start after the first gate drop into second. Around five minutes into the moto, the red plate holder had a tip-over but quickly remounted and moved back into the runner-up position, where he would finish.

In Moto 2, Deegan got another great start in the runner-up spot. On Lap 6, he threw down a fast time and made an emphatic pass on his championship rival, then continued to set a blistering pace to score his seventh moto win of the season by a 14-second margin. His fifth overall victory in 2024 also helped

strengthen his championship bid, giving him a 54-point lead as the series heads into a twoweek break.

“We went 2-1 on the day, so it was a good day. The first moto was solid, and then in the second moto, I put the hammer down and built a big gap. That was awesome,” Deegan said.

“I’m happy to keep the Washougal streak going and to get back up on top of the board.”

The THOR/Monster Energy Yamaha Star Racing team returns to action on August 10 as racing resumes at the Unadilla National, Round 9 of Pro Motocross and Round 26 of the SuperMotocross World Series, at Unadilla MX in New Berlin, New York. ■

NEWS EVENTS AND Mees Works His Magic at Memphis Shades DuQuoin Mile

Parts Unlimited/Drag Specialties/Indian rider Jared Mees demonstrated his Mile mastery yet again with a victory in Saturday night’s Memphis Shades DuQuoin Mile.

It was round 10 of the 2024 Progressive American Flat Track season, sanctioned by AMA Pro Racing.

The victory was the 75th of the reigning Grand National Champion’s record-breaking career, placing him third in career wins behind Chris Carr (78) and Scott Parker (94). It also elevated his career Mile wins mark to 28, just one behind Carr for second in the discipline as well.

“It felt really good, just to feel good again, honestly,” Mees said after the race. “The bike worked really good from the start, and we knew coming in here we were going to be a big player. The Rogers Racing/SDI Insulation/Progressive Insurance Indian Motorcycle was really strong tonight. Big thanks to everyone …so many great people are big contributors to our success. I had a lot of fun tonight, for sure.” ■

Vialle Wins 250 Moto 1 at Washougal!

After qualifying fastest in 250MX at the AMA Pro Motocross Championship round at Washougal, THOR/KTM’s Tom Vialle rode his KTM 250 SX-F factory edition to a commanding victory in Moto 1. As of press time, the Frenchman was second in the points standings.

“Today was a good day! We were able to go fastest in qualifying and won the first moto,” Vialle said. “The track was tough and I did my best – it's nice to finish on the podium before the break. We'll keep training and hopefully we can come back and win these last three races.” Align Media photos ■

NEWS EVENTS AND Royal Enfield’s Build. Train. Race. Riders Ascend at The Ridge

HIGH SPIRITS, STRONG SKILLS AT THE SERIES’ THIRD STOP

The Royal Enfield Build. Train. Race. (BTR) Road Race Program hosted the third round of its 2024 season at The Ridge Motorsports Park in early July in Shelton, Washington. While the previous races at Road America featured some inclement weather, the Ridge had sunny skies, and the BTR riders were eager to take advantage of the opportunity to showcase their growth for the fans in attendance.

In the event’s first race, reigning BTR champion Mikayla Moore took home first place, winning the eight-lap race by a decisive 34.514 seconds. Camille Conrad claimed second place in a neck-and-neck battle with Kira Knebel. This race marked Knebel and Conrad’s first and fourth visits to the podium this season, respectively.

On the second day of racing, Moore conquered again. Lauren Prince started the race from the pit lane after missing the sighting lap. She overcame her start to finish in second place. Competition for the final podium spot was tight, but Aubrey Credaroli took advantage of a last-lap pass to ultimately earn third place.

“Our BTR riders have grown so much over the course of the season. In BTR, the final race results never tell the full story - it’s everyone’s dedication to constantly finding ways

to improve and push one another - to drop that time with every lap - that has been absolutely inspiring.” said Adrian Sellers, Head - Custom & Motorsport at Royal Enfield. “All the riders should be extremely proud of their growth this season, and I look forward to everyone finishing the season strong next month.”

The final BTR Road Race of the season will be on August 18 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio. BTR’s Flat Track program’s next event of the season is scheduled for August 6 at Black Hills Speedway in Rapid City, SD. ■

Parts and Accessories for Going Anywhere Adventure Made Easy

There is no better way to show off parts than by putting them on a motorcycle. Moose Racing reminded dealers and riders alike that the brand has plenty of dual-sport and Adventure parts and accessories by building a custom 2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700.

Moose Racing’s Austin Weaver built the Ténéré, which is designed to show off what’s possible using the company’s extensive offering of parts.

Austin chose to design a stripped-down dual-sport bike that could function well off-road, proving that Adventure riding does not have to be complicated or costly. Anyone can build a capable Adventure bike, and Moose Racing can help them do it.

The Ténéré 700 was a perfect platform for this minimalist style of build, since it is already a narrow bike that rolls off the line without some of the accessories and tech found on other bikes in the segment. It’s a straightforward, lightweight bike ideal for easy Adventure and dual-sport riding.

There was no question that Moose Racing’s new ADV rear rack system would be mounted to the Ténéré. The rack is designed so it can be customized for every ride, providing

multiple tie-down locations and slots for bag straps or bungee cords. In addition to the many different mounting configurations available, Moose Racing also offers universal attachment plates to further increase the possibilities of where and how it can be used. The rack makes it easy to load up and go for everything from a short excursion to a long-haul adventure.

The rear rack is made to be every bit as tough as the terrain an Adventure bike will encounter. It is laser-cut from 12-gauge, grade-50 steel, which is topped with a matte black powder coat. Each rack arrives with all the mounting hardware necessary, making it easy to install.

Sometimes, swapping out a small part can make a big difference. That was certainly the case with the foot pegs on the Ténéré 700.

Looking to showcase the huge range of parts and accessories for Adventure bikes, Moose Racing’s Austin Weaver built a 2023 Yamaha Ténéré 700 with the company’s own parts and luggage. The result is a custom ADV machine outfitted from front to back in Moose Racing products.
One of the absolute necessities of Adventure riding is proper luggage. For the Ténéré, that meant starting with Moose Racing’s ADV rear rack system, which provides multiple tie-down locations and slots for bag straps or bungee cords.

rigid. Because there is no crossbar, the bars can flex naturally to keep a rider’s hands and arms more comfortable.

The handlebar pairs nicely with a set of Moose Racing’s Voyager handguards. When the bike made its debut at the Louisville NVP, the handguards got a lot of praise for the way they provide an important barrier while still freeing up plenty of space on the handlebar.

This ergonomic design is achieved in part by mounting the handguards directly to the end of the handlebar with a model-specific end cap. The aluminum frame is compact, which further creates more room for a rider’s hands.

The stock ones were replaced with a set of Moose Racing Qualifier foot pegs, which are designed for ultimate grip and comfort. The stainless steel foot plate is extra wide and has a pattern meant to keep boots firmly in place. The plate can be replaced, too, making future maintenance easy.

The Qualifier foot pegs pair the stainless steel foot plate with a CNC-machined aluminum alloy housing for the right blend of strength and light weight. That foot plate is inside a rubber damper, too, which helps absorb shock to keep feet feeling good, even during long days of riding.

Adventure riders have to be ready for anything, which includes any obstacles or debris the riding environment might have in store. Moose Racing’s carbon fiber fork guards make sure the Ténéré’s front suspension has an extra layer of defense against those hazards. These fork guards simply snap into place over the forks, so not only do they look good, but they are also incredibly easy to install.

Up above the forks, it’s impossible to miss the Flex Series handlebar. The 11/8-inch handlebar fits incredibly well into the geometry of the Ténéré, offering a comfortable stance for the rider as well as a great look.

The Flex Series handlebar is made from aluminum, so it is both lighter and stronger than a standard handlebar. At the same time, it is also designed to be more comfortable. As the name implies, Flex Series handlebars are not

Adventure riding can mean changing weather, which is why the Voyager handguards have vents that can be opened or closed to adjust airflow during riding.

To top everything off on the Ténéré build, a custom graphics kit gives it just the right finishing touch and ensures it cannot be missed when it is on display. ■

On the underside of Moose Racing’s Ténéré 700 is the company’s Pro LG Skid Plate for protection, while the company’s Qualifier footpegs provide grip, control and comfort.
The Ténéré features Moose’s Flex Series handlebars, which are lighter and stronger than a standard handlebar. Voyager handguards provide a stout barrier while still freeing up space on the handlebar.

Steel Commander Superbike Championship Update

WARHORSE DUCATI’S JOSH HERRIN HOLDS ONTO LEAD

The fight for the 2024 MotoAmerica Steel Commander Superbike Championship is far from over, but Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati’s Josh Herrin is beginning to look like a man who may be difficult to beat. And although it seems like a long time ago, he’s done this before. In fact, if Herrin were to somehow win this title, it will be his second Superbike championship with a span of 11 years between the two.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. After all, Herrin’s lead is only 15 points, and the top four riders are separated by 27 points. The man the others fear the most, five-time MotoAmerica Superbike Champion Cameron Beaubier, showed that he’s back on top of his game after his broken heel with a win and a second-place finish at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca.

The rider closest to Herrin is Attack Performance/Progressive/Yamaha Racing’s Jake Gagne with the three-time and defending MotoAmerica Superbike Champion hoping to be rid of his arm-pump issues when the series resumes at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, August 16-18. Even Gagne has a hard time believing that he’s second in the title chase considering his finishes have been far from Gagne-like since the arm-pump started in the second round of the series. Gagne, however, has somehow managed to score points in every single round, including his two fifth-place finishes at Laguna Seca

Wrench Motorcycles’ Bobby Fong is third and is likely still kicking himself after crashing out of race one at Laguna

Seca. He followed that up with a fourth in race two, but the damage was done, and Fong left Laguna 23 points behind.

Gagne’s teammate Cameron Petersen also had a DNF at Laguna Seca, but his was of the mechanical variety. The DNF came in race two, a day after Petersen finished third. The South African is 27 behind and 19 ahead of Beaubier, who has now won four races in 2024 – the most of anyone in the class.

Herrin’s Ducati teammate Loris Baz left Laguna Seca disappointed with his two sixth-place finishes, with the Frenchman well aware that he finished second twice to Gagne the last time he was here in 2021. Baz is sixth in the championship and just six points ahead of TopPro Racing’s Sean Dylan Kelly.

Kelly, a Superbike rookie, had a great weekend at Laguna Seca, finishing third and in the battle for victory with Herrin and Beaubier in race two, a day after recovering from a jump-start penalty to finish fourth

Beaubier’s teammate JD Beach, Vision Wheel M4 ECSTAR Suzuki’s Brandon Paasch and Paasch’s temporary teammate Xavi Forés round out the top 10 as the series head to MidOhio for its seventh round.

Following AMA Superbikes return to Mid-Ohio after a 10year hiatus, the series with have two rounds remaining at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas, (September 13-15) and the series finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park in Millville, New Jersey (September 27-29). The COTA round will feature three Steel Commander Superbike races. ■

Wherever and whatever your customers ride or drive, AMS has a big range of tires to meet their needs. Top, from left: M1 Evil, Blacktail, M2 Evil and M4 Evil. Bottom, from left: Radial Pro, Slingshot, Swamp Fox and Sand King, front and rear.

So Many Choices! Tires for

Every Terrain

Wherever and whatever your customers ride or drive, AMS has tires and wheels to suit their needs. From legendary do-it-all ATV/UTV models like the M2 and M1 Evil, to extreme-terrain tires like the Slingshot and Swamp Fox, AMS has a wide range of tread designs and sizes to choose from, as well as wheels on which to mount them.

Your customers are likely familiar with the M2 Evil, and for good reason. This tire has a huge following due to the fact that it does it all. The ¾-inch tread is non-directional with dense lug spacing that offers smooth and quiet handling on harder surfaces, yet the M2 Evil still bites into loose terrain for excellent traction. With its truck-like appearance the M2 Evil looks good on any rig, and is available in 6-ply and 8-ply radial carcass construction in a range of popular sizes.

Adding a little more off-road traction with deeper 1-inch tread is the M1 Evil. This tire is suitable for the front or rear of an ATV or UTV and is available in 6- and 8-ply designs to suit the weight and power of your customers’ rigs.

AMS’s Radial Pro was specifically designed for modern high-performance SXSs. This is a multi-surface, smoothrolling, long-wearing tire that’s a terrific choice for any condition. Offered in an 8-ply design (for ATVs and UTVs) as well as a 4-ply design (for golf carts), the Radial Pro features cutting-edge carcass construction that ensures consistent rolling performance at all speeds and optimized

flex characteristics on different terrains. The Radial Pro is offered in a huge range of sizes to fit nearly any vehicle.

Moving into muddier, messier terrain, AMS has the Blacktail, Slingshot and Swamp Fox tires. Blacktail tires have deep lugs with a spread out tread pattern that works well on a variety of challenging terrains. When the trail gets sloppy, encourage your customers to choose the Slingshot or Swamp Fox. These tires have aggressive V-block tread designs and massive lugs that wrap around the sidewalls to bite into and clear mud, yet still offer a smooth straight-line ride on firmer ground.

These and AMS’s many other tire models can be mounted to any number of stylish, durable AMS wheels. The Roll’n 104 is a standard ATV/UTV wheel, great as an affordable upgrade or a replacement for beat up stock wheels. The Roll’n 105 adds some extra style with a simulated dead lock, while the Roll’n 106 features a true bead lock to keep tires in place at lower pressures. The Roll’n 106 can also be accessorized with different colored bead-lock rings to accent your customers’ vehicle.

Even with all the tires and wheels covered here, we’ve only scratched the surface of the tires and wheels that AMS has available through Parts Unlimited. ■

Ultra-Easy Oil Changes

Model-Specific Kits for Side-by-Sides

Modern side-by-sides are often operated in punishing environments where high speeds, severe heat and intense loads are the norm. That puts a lot of strain on the engine, so it’s crucial to keep a SXS’s crankcase filled with clean, quality oil by doing on-time oil changes. Luckily, Maxima makes oil changes ultra easy with its all-in-one SXS Oil Change Kits.

Maxima’s SXS Oil Change Kits are available for many popular models and include everything needed to tackle an oil and filter change. There’s no need to look up the weight and quantity of lube, or pull the oil filter, crush washers, and other consumables from shelves. Maxima has done that

legwork for you, and puts the right oil, filter, and even crush washers and O-rings in one box so your customers or techs can grab and go.

The convenience of these SXS Oil Change Kits is exceptional, since it means looking up one part number instead of several, but accessibility isn’t worth much without quality. Good thing the SXS Oil Change Kits are stocked with Maxima’s own SXS Engine oil and a ProFilter Premium Oil Filter, quality products your customers know and trust.

Maxima’s SXS Engine Oil was specifically engineered for the demands of modern, high-performance side-by-sides. This fully synthetic oil is loaded with esters – a chemically synthesized base oil that can withstand extreme heat and clings to metal surfaces to provide exceptional protection – as well as Maxima’s own recipe of additives. That includes a shear-stable polymer system that provides excellent film thickness and viscosity stability across all operating temperatures.

Quality, full-synthetic oil. Check. The other crucial ingredient in the SXS Oil Change Kit is a ProFilter Premium Oil Filter. Depending on the model the filter will be a cartridge (in which case you’ll also get a new O-ring for the filter cover) or a traditional spin-on filter.

Both styles utilize M-Pleat technology that packs more filtering media into the filter for increased contaminant capacity. Compared to conventional filters, ProFilters can offer up to a 30% longer service life. In addition to this exceptional filtering ability, the spin-on filters have a silicone anti drain back valve to help oil pressure build quickly. For convenience, a 17mm nut is welded to the filter for easy removal, and the sealing O-ring comes prelubed for an optimal seal.

When it comes to oil changes, it simply doesn’t get any easier than a SXS Oil Change Kit. Of course, Maxima’s SXS Engine Oil (in 0W-40, 5W-40, 5W-50, and 10W-50) and ProFilters are available on their own, but getting them packaged together, with the exact parts and quantities needed for a given model, is undeniably convenient. ■

Legendary Performance

UTV Products from an American Icon

S&S Cycle is one of the oldest and most recognizable names in the powersports industry. The company is famous for its V-Twin performance parts including exhausts, camshafts and even complete engines. But did you know S&S has an Off-Road Division dedicated to UTVs?

Just like S&S’s original origin story, the Off-Road Division was born from a desire for something that didn’t exist. Many of S&S’s employees enjoy off-roading, and they were applying their engineering know-how to improve their rigs and make custom parts they couldn’t find in the aftermarket. Nothing drives the development of new products like a personal interest, and so the Off-Road Division was born.

S&S publicly launched the Off-Road Division in 2021, and it applies the same engineering knowledge, premium materials and manufacturing, and Proven Performance motto to its entire new lineup of UTV components.

The first product to hit the market was the PowerTune XTO Exhaust for the Can-Am Maverick, Honda Talon and Polaris RZR models. Shortly thereafter, S&S expanded its UTV product range to include an adjustable clutch kit for the 2020-2023 Kawasaki KRX1000 as well as a turbo kit for the 2020-2023 Kawasaki KRX models. And now, S&S is excited to introduce a Billet Fuel Rail for 2020-2024 Polaris RZR Pro XP.

This new billet fuel rail replaces the stock, cast-plastic fuel rail that is known to fatigue and fail. The intense heat of the

engine bay and repeated shocks and vibration from rough terrain can cause the stock fuel rail to crack, at which point fuel pressure takes a nosedive and your customer’s ride is over. Who’s got the J-B Weld?

To eliminate the RZR Pro XP’s weakness, S&S developed a fuel rail crafted from strong and resilient 6061 aluminum designed to withstand heat and vibration. Careful drilling and machining of the internal passages provide enhanced fuel flow. The Billet Fuel Rail works with both stock and upgraded fuel lines and injectors.

Fuel-pressure fluctuations were another issue that the Off-Road Division identified, so the Billet Fuel Rail has an integrated fuel-pulsation damper. This device helps reduce and smooth out fluctuations and pulsations in fuel pressure for improved throttle response, engine performance and even mileage. Finished in black anodizing, the Billet Fuel Rail is built to last. The direct-replacement design ensures a perfect fit, so this is an easy upgrade for any RZR Pro XP. ■

Off-Road Options

Oils Formulated for ATVs and Off-Road Bikes

Off-road riders have plenty of choices when it comes to choosing the right motor oil from LIQUI MOLY. The company has something for off-road motorcycles as well as an oil formulated specifically for ATVs, and there are options for both 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines. Plus, riders looking for a performance advantage can opt for a race version of LIQUI MOLY off-road oil.

ATV riders who want to give their engine maximum performance and protection will want to choose LIQUI MOLY’s ATV 4T Motoroil SAE 5W-50. Fully synthetic and fully designed for performance, this oil was developed and tested on racing machines, just like the other race oils available from the company.

In addition to outstanding lubrication, this ATV-specific oil helps keep the engine clean to make sure it continues operating at a peak level for a long time. Friction and wear are both reduced to bolster longevity, and riders will be able to feel how smoothly the clutch and shifter operate because of these features.

Your four-wheeler customers will want to check out LIQUI MOLY’s ATV 4T Motoroil SAE 5W-50. Fully synthetic and fully designed for performance, this oil was developed and tested on racing machines, just like the other race oils available from the company.

For 2-stroke riders, LIQUI MOLY offers Motorbike 2T Off-road and Motorbike 2T Synth Off-Road Race. The Motorbike 2T Off-Road oil is a semi-synthetic, highperformance blend designed to keep a 2-stroke engine running at an optimal level. The formula is designed to not just lubricate an engine but also to reduce friction, wear and smoke. This oil will keep spark plugs clean, too.

LIQUI MOLY’s team of chemists designed the Motorbike 2T Synth Off-road Race for competitive riding styles. This fully synthetic oil provides maximum performance and protection even during the rigors of racing. Engine components are protected from corrosion and deposits, and the high thermal stability is ideal for racing scenarios.

That same racing-oriented performance can be found in both the Motorbike 4T Synth SAE 10W-60 Off-Road Race and Motorbike 4T Synth SAE 10W-50 Off-Road Race oils for 4-stroke bikes. Engines stay clean and run smoothly, even under the most extreme operating conditions. Since friction and wear are reduced, these two oils make clutching and shifting easier, too.

The Motorbike 4T SAE 10W-40 Off-Road synthetic oil is another high-performance choice for 4-strokes that helps engines run at an optimal level. Low oil consumption and high shear stability make this oil a choice that riders can confidently add to their engines for long-lasting lubrication, cleanliness and excellent friction behavior.

LIQUI MOLY also offers Motorbike 2T Off-road and Motorbike 2T Synth Off-Road Race for your 2-stroke motorcycle customers. It’s a semi-synthetic, high-performance blend designed to keep a 2-stroke engine running at an optimal level.

The high quality of the products drew the attention of motorcycle manufacturer Betamotor, which is why LIQUI MOLY has been BETA’s first-fill partner for years. LIQUI MOLY is also the exclusive lubricant partner to FIM Motocross World Championship (MXGP). ■

Designed for Durability

New ATV/UTV Tires and Wheels

Two of the most important choices an ATV or UTV owner can make are what tires and what wheels to mount. Whether it’s for recreational riding, work or even competition, it’s vital to have a tire and wheel combination that’s up to the task.

Moose Utility Division has plenty of wheel and tire options available already, and the list just got longer with the addition of the VersaGrip tire and two new wheel designs, the 26X and 27X.

The VersaGrip tire is designed as one of those tires that can handle the toughest terrain without breaking a sweat. The 15mm deep lugs and integrated side lugs ensure outstanding traction, even across the muddiest stretches. The 6-ply rating means the VersaGrip is durable, too, so it can be taken offroad with confidence.

Moose Utility Division is offering the VersaGrip tire in four sizes, including 25x8x12, 25x10x12, 27x9x14 and 27x12x14.

The new 26X and 27X wheels have Moose Racing branding, which is a testament to their performance and style characteristics. Just one look at these wheels, and it’s easy to see the sporty design inspiration. At the same time, though, these wheels also feature all the hard-working attributes that Moose Utility Division products provide.

The two wheels share a lot of the same characteristics, even though they look wildly different from each other in terms of design. Both come in a 12x7 size with a load capacity of 675 pounds and a 14x7 size that can handle a load of 700 pounds.

As one would expect with wheel options from Moose Utility Division and Moose Racing, the 26X and 27X wheels are capable not just of carrying heavy loads, but of tackling difficult terrain, too. These wheels are strong enough for the toughest environments, and the powder coated finish provides an extra barrier against the hazards of the environment.

Thanks to the combination of looks and toughness, even the most hard-working ATVs and UTVs can get a wheel upgrade without compromising durability or quality.

Riders can also rest easy knowing that each of the four wheels they purchase for their UTV has been X-rayed on the production line to ensure flawless quality. Rather than testing only a selection of wheels, Moose Utility Division X-rays every single one to ensure there are no hidden weaknesses. ■

Kits for On-Road Use

In regions and districts that allow UTVs to cruise down public roads, making your rig street legal is a no brainer. Being able to link up to trails or ride into town for lunch or gas is part of life in those areas, and ATV-UTV Tek’s Elite Series UTV Street Legal Kits are a great addition. This lighting kit is a quick and easy way to bring your customers’ rigs up to code. Moreover, ATV-UTV Tek gave the kit a modern, techy appearance that complements the design of any vehicle.

ATV-UTV Tek put a lot of hard work into the Elite Series Kit so your customers and mechanics don’t have to. The kit comes with LED ribbon lights for the turn signals and flashers, a high-quality horn with a burly tone, rocker switches for the cab, and all necessary wiring. One of the kit’s standout features is the electrical command center, where everything in the kit is pre-wired and pregrounded. This innovation means that users only need to connect it to power, eliminating the complexities of traditional wiring and grounding for each light or accessory.

Another innovative and helpful feature is the cut-to-size LED strips. No matter what UTV your customers have, these flexible, customizable ribbon lights will integrate easily onto the existing light assemblies or trim panels. The LED strips serve as both running lights and turn signals, with the front lights blinking amber and the rear lights blinking red. This customization feature not only enhances functionality but also allows users to personalize their UTVs according to their preferences.

ATV-UTV Tek knows UTVs encounter a lot of mud and water, so they made sure all the electrical connectors in the Elites Series Kit are waterproof. This ensures durability and reliability, giving users peace of mind that their lights

A New Way to Level Up Innovative

UTV Upgrades and Customization

Most good product solutions stem from trying to solve a problem. And, in the UTV and sideby-side world, innovation usually comes from the source – riders. RAVEK was founded by a team of riders that wanted more from their UTVs.

Co-founders Harry and Ricky Goldstein grew up offroading. Now with extensive research and development capabilities at their control, they have decided to solve the problems they encountered while riding themselves.

RAVEK is offering a unique approach to lighting in the UTV market. Simple plug-and-play installations, aided by vehicle-specific wire harnesses, lead the way to a whole new level of customization, visibility and function. There is no need to re-rebuild fuse boxes or splice wires in order to install the Apex lights, taillight, trunk bed light or any other lighting product the company has developed.

The Plug & Play Apex Lights are a high-quality UTV accent light. Sold as a pair in red, white and amber, the Apex Light cuts through dust with diffused LEDs blasting up to 300 percent more light than stock accent lighting depending on colorway and vehicle. Each set comes with adaptable hardware for both flat surface and roll bar mounting. The Apex lights mount to bumpers, roof, rear roll cage and most body panels. With an IP67 rating, these lights are durable and rugged. They are plug-and-

play with vehicle-specific wire harnesses, and install in less than 30 minutes.

RAVEK has also launched a new approach to UTV comfort; Heavy-Duty Waterproof Armrests stuffed with tri-layer memory foam that use factory bolt holes to mount on the vehicle’s door. There’s no drilling involved in the installation, and RAVEK also offers an additional waterproof bag that mounts underneath the armrest for extra storage.

The Heavy-Duty Waterproof Armrest set is designed with both driver and passenger in mind. These armrests adjust

RAVEK was founded by riders, for riders, and its range of products was designed and developed as solutions for real-world problems.

at installation to fit every rider’s needs and style. Sold as a pair, everyone can ride in comfort with three layers of memory foam sealed inside waterproof marine-grade vinyl. The metal mounting plate gives these armrests a 350-pound load-bearing capacity and has pre-threaded attachment points for the optional waterproof storage bags.

Storage is one of the biggest focuses for RAVEK. The company’s MOLLE panel system is made up of a laser-cut steel panel that fits perfectly with the contours of the UTV. Like the heavy-duty waterproof armrests, the MOLLE panels also utilize factory bolt holes to prevent the need for drilling and install in 30 minutes. They feature rubber-coated clamps for a “no rattle” finish. The MOLLE panel system doubles the vehicle’s storage space, providing near limitless mounting options due to the panel’s MOLLE design.

RAVEK MOLLE panels double exterior storage capacity by utilizing the space in and around the rear roll cage, dramatically expanding trail and riding potential. This pair of precision-engineered panels are custom-designed for each UTV fitment and have 120 pounds of load capacity.

RAVEK’s MOLLE panels allow riders to mount RAVEK solutions like the roll top MOLLE bags and fire extinguisher mount, as well as any other MOLLEcompatible accessories.

RAVEK also offers a suite of supplemental MOLLE accessories, including Zipperless Roll Top Dry Bags and a quick-release mount for a fire extinguisher. Even the RAVEK sunglasses holder can mount on the panels when it’s not attached to a roof or strapped to a roll bar.

The RAVEK sunglasses holder is designed to give riders a convenient and safe place to store their shades. Its magnetic closure enables single-hand operation, and it can be mounted on both roll bars and flat surfaces. Designed with a water- and dust-resistant EVA molded structure, this case will prevent any scratches, scuffs or misplacement.

RAVEK is backing its new product lineup with a generous Unlimited Lifetime Warranty. In the words of Goldstein, “We

stand behind our products and believe UTV owners are some of the most genuine people and wanted to make a genuine offer in return. You break it, we replace it. Period.”

Executive Vice President, Marc Wolfram is excited to grow RAVEK’s sales channel. He says, “We are excited to announce an exclusive distribution agreement with Parts Unlimited and Parts Canada. Their rep teams are the best in the business, and we know we are in great hands partnering with them. It is our goal to be the most exciting company in powersports by launching more new products every year backed by exceptional customer service!”

The RAVEK team knows riding, and if your customers are looking for a new way to elevate their ride, RAVEK has what they need. ■

UTV owners always need more storage so RAVEK’s range includes a MOLLE panel system and a line of waterproof Zipperless Roll Top Dry Bags. Combined, they make great use of unused space in and around the rear roll cage.

High-Quality Chains for Every Option

RK Chain has created several drive chain models suitable for use with ATVs, Adventure and street bikes, and the wide variety of environments in which they perform. The ATV race team Duncan Racing has relied on RK Chain for its team’s chain needs for more than a decade.

520EXW

One of RK Chain’s most popular ATV rated chain is the 520EXW. EXW is an XWRing sealed chain and is a high-quality high-speed, extreme heat performance ATV chain. RK’s XW-Ring seals use triple barrier grease protection, plus anti-debris technology to eliminate debris friction between internal components.

EXW chains also feature special sideplates to protect against thermal cracking, which can result from debris or components impinging the chain’s movement. The impingement causes the chain to heat up and cool down in rapid succession. Over a period of time this thermal exposure can reduce the strength of the chain, and/or cause a chain failure. It is vitally important to check a bike after a crash to make sure no debris such as rocks or even bike components are in contact with the chain.

EXW is rated up to 750cc and has a max tensile strength rating of 7,700 ft/lbs. EXW is lightweight and is suitable for professional racing use. EXW is a multifunction chain as it can also be used for enduro and GNCC motorcycle racing. Currently Team FMF KTM Factory Racing is using the GB520EXW chain. The EXW is available in a Gold or a Natural finish.

MAX X

The “E” in XRE represents Endurance and proves that XRE series chains are ideal where long distances and consistent high speeds continue for long periods.

XRE chains can be used for ATV, Adventure, enduro and general street use. RK XRE chains are designed to provide exceptional performance for Adventure and enduro riders through a variety of extreme environments. From asphalt, mud and sand to salt flats, rocks and snow – XRE chains can get riders there and back again.

If customers want to increase the wearlife of their chain, while still watching their wallets, RK offers the MAX X chain series. MAX X is designed to perform on both ATVs, street and off-road machines. With a tensile strength rating of 9,000 ft/lbs. and a 750cc max cc rating, MAX X can handle all your customers’ ATV performance needs. MAX X is available in a wide variety of colors including Gold, Natural, Chrome, Black/ Gold, Black/Chrome, Red, Blue, Green, Orange, Pink or Yellow.

MAX O

The MAX O is an O-ring sealed chain and is designed for use on ATVs and on street and off-road machines. The MAX O is rated up to 650cc, and has a tensile strength rating of 8,500 ft/lbs. The MAX O is available in Gold or Natural finish. ■

Keeping It Cool

Heat Reduction for Honda Pioneers

From man to machine, heat has major effects on comfort and performance. Honda Pioneer 1000 models are proven and capable workhorses, but heat can build up quickly, and the engine’s proximity to the seats can make for a lose-lose situation.

Design Engineering, Inc. (DEI) has been designing temperature-reducing solutions for years, and its under-seat heat

shield kit and new auxiliary fan are quite the dynamic duo for Honda Pioneer 1000s.

DEI’s under seat heat shield kit uses a dual-sided design and highly durable materials to reflect heat on the engine side and insulate cooler temperatures on the seat side, especially in heat pathway problem areas like seat belt holes. These kits are precision cut to fit 2015 to 2024 1000-3, 1000-5 and 1000-6 models, with straightforward installation.

The effectiveness of the heat shield kit can be largely amplified by DEI’s auxiliary fan kit. This is the second kit DEI has released for these models, and it’s a direct result of DEI listening to what customers wanted. This powerful fan is operated by an OEM-quality manual on/off switch, and can quickly extract heat from the engine bay. Adding this version to the lineup adds a more affordable option for customers who don’t want to sacrifice functional efficiency.

With this pair handling the heat, your Pioneer customers can rely on DEI to keep temperatures down. ■

WBridging the Gap

An Innovative Mud and Trail Hybrid

hen opting for specialized tires, you can lose some versatility. Mud tires are a good example, as their massive treads tend to make them less suitable for firmer trails. As a solution to that compromise High Lifter Tire and Wheel by STI created the Outlaw M/T, a tire designed to bridge the gap between sloppy bogs and faster, more solid terrain.

The Outlaw M/T has a hybrid 0.80-1.25-inch dual-stage tread with massive side lugs, so it bites into soft terrain and hooks up in ruts and on roots to pull your customers out of the stickiest trail situations. At the same time, a partially overlapping center tread provides a consistent rolling surface on firmer ground for a smooth ride at speed.

With a burly 10-ply carcass the Outlaw M/T resists punctures, and there’s an extra-deep rim guard to help protect wheels lips and avoid pinch flats at lower PSI. On the topic of wheels, High Lifter Tire and Wheel by STI’s HL25 and HL24s are a great match for the Outlaw M/Ts. Both hoops have a stylish 14-spoke design, with the HL25s featuring a simulated bead lock and the HL24 offering the real deal with 5/16-inch Grade 8 hardware. Both rims have

a 1,500-pound load capacity and come with a Lifetime Structural Warranty. ■

ATV and UTV Brake Pads

Win on Sunday. sell on Monday.” That phrase leads many racing sponsors, including DP Brakes, to support the sport. Success breeds success, and your motorcycle, ATV and UTV customers are confident in purchasing the same DP brake pads that winners use in competition.

In fact, sponsoring racers has been part of DP Brakes’ marketing strategy for years. That includes ATV/UTV racers

using DP’s upgraded sintered disc brake pads – the same pads sold by Parts Unlimited for recreational trail riding.

DP Brakes’ Larry Mills reminds Parts Unlimited dealers that “DP not only supports the sport side of ATV/UTV racing, we also support the Side-by-Side recreational markets, too.”

“Our recreational customers use the same sintered disc brake pads that our sponsored racers rely on for winning races.” The list of models covers vehicles from Can-Am, CF Moto, Honda, Kawasaki, Polaris, Segway, Suzuki, Yamaha, and more. DP Brakes is also the OEM supplier to Can-Am’s four-wheeler line.

If DP’s wide range of upgraded sintered brake pads are good enough to win at the races, those same replacement pads certainly are good enough for trail recreational riding. In addition, DP’s brake pads’ long-lasting sintered compound eliminates the annoying squeal that OEM pads are prone to do, plus there is no brake dust residue to accumulate on the ATV/UTV’s wheels and tires. ■

Ready to Roll All-In-One

Drivetrain Kits

Here’s some good news for your ATV riding customers. Regina Chain now offers com plete chain kits for those four-wheelers, making it easy to change the drive chain and sprockets before hitting the trail.

Regina Chain’s ATV Chain Kits are similar to Regina’s original chain kits for Adventure Touring and DualSport motorcycles, meaning each ATV kit comes in its own packaging that’s easy to display and stock. Kits include pre-cut chain, and dedicated front and rear stock-tooth sprockets. Kits also contain a master link for the included pre-cut chain for each specific ATV model.

Regina Chain also offers its popular Z-ring chains for Adventure Touring and Dual-Sport bikes. Z-ring chains come in 520 and 525 sizing, available in the eye-catching gold-link ZRE chain or the more economical Black Dual ZRA chain.

Both Z-ring chains are suitable for on-road and off-road riding, and feature Regina’s innovative ring-seal technology for reduced friction, which means higher performance and

longer durability. In addition, steel rollers, bushings and plates are shot-peened for strength and durability.

Regina’s ZRE chain is especially recognizable for its gold color finish, creating a unique look. The Black Dual ZRA chain’s natural steel finish offers the same performance, but at a more economical price for hard-core off-road, DualSport and Adventure Tour riders looking to save money ■

Slip or Stop? Brake Products for Tough Conditions

Perfect riding conditions can make for the perfect day on the trail, but conditions can’t always be perfect. When rain falls and things get sloppy, demand gets tougher on both man and machine, especially when it’s time to stop.

Needless to say, slippery mud is not conducive to effective braking, but the stopping professionals at EBC can equip

your customers with tools to battle tough conditions. Different designs help brake discs excel in different conditions, and EBC’s UTVX discs are designed to keep mud out and braking friction in.

UTVX discs boast a ‘solid’ style, British-made design, meaning there are no slots or holes drilled in the contact path of the brake pads like with standard style discs. These may help keep things cool in dry conditions, but water and mud can get under the pads in wet conditions. The solid design is constructed with extremely durable stainless steel and features a diamond ground finish to deliver great braking performance.

EBC’s R series brake pads are a natural pairing with UTVX discs to be fully prepared for muddy rides. These sintered pads are made in EBC’s U.S. facility and are a heavy-duty option that stands resistant to mud, water and other debris for consistent and extended braking performance. ■

The Ideal Fit A Commitment to Comfort and Quality

The late company founder Rocky Cutsforth first developed adjustable bar risers for his snowmobile. The 6-foot-2 rider wanted to stand up on his sled like one does on a sport quad.

This is the first set of pivoting handlebar risers produced by Rox Speed FX. The company now makes risers for a wide range of powersports vehicles, all with the goal of creating a tailorfit cockpit for riders.

With Rox Speed FX’s line of adjustable bar risers your customers can customize their handlebar setup for vastly improved ergonomics and comfort. There are fitments for ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles.

The year 2024 marks 25 years in business for Rox Speed FX. That’s a quarter century of improving the riding experience with products that increase comfort, control and confidence. Rox’s innovative adjustable risers allow your customers to dial in the handlebar position on their ATVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles for a customized cockpit. That means less strain and discomfort and more riding. Those objectives

helped kickstart Rox Speed FX back in 1999, and they’re what continue to guide the family-owned company today.

In the late ’90s, Rockford “Rocky” Cutsforth was bothered by the slippery floorboards on his snowmobile, as well as the handlebar position. “Rocky was 6-foot-2,” says Chris Olin, who now heads up Rox Speed FX, “and in the early days you sat down on snowmobiles, but Rocky wanted to stand up like you did on a sport quad.”

With the help of his inventive father, David, Rocky developed wider, gripper floorboards and adjustable bar risers for his snowmobile. After a few prototypes, the now-iconic Sled Tread and Pivot Bar Risers were born. And with the help of David and Rocky’s wife, Lynn, Rox Speed FX shifted from a part-time hobby to a full-time family business.

Tragically, Rocky passed away in 2010. The loss shook the family to its foundations, but it carried on, and Rocky’s cousin, Chris Olin, took the helm. Chris and Rocky had grown up riding together, and when Chris took over he brought with him wealth of manufacturing and operations management experience, as well as a passion for powersports. “Rocky was a snowmobile and sport quad guy, whereas I’m a snow and motorcycle guy,” says Chris. And so, the Pivot Bar Riser recipe was applied to a variety of bikes.

“It’s always been about making the vehicle fit the person riding it,” says Chris. “The pivoting riser is designed around allowing the customer to move the handlebar into the sweet spot, and that solves all sorts of comfort issues, which lets people ride more.” Rox Speed FX’s products are available for a variety of popular vehicles, and new models are always being added.

Rox Speed FX also does the design and manufacturing themselves, out of the same Grand Rapids, Minnesota, facility that Rocky opened in 1999. The company is a closeknit team of 11, but that’s all it takes to make it happen.

“When you lose people that you’re close to, you realize that life is about relationships,” says Chris, “so as a business, it’s important that we operate off of relationships. The strength of our company is based in our family and the values that we live by. We’re still here doing our thing, and we’re not about to stop.”

The team at Parts Magazine congratulates Rox Speed on 25 years of innovation and excellence. ■

Getting Ahead

An Off-Road Helmet for Premium Protection

has revamped its popular Supertech

Sometimes, the team at Alpinestars considers their biggest competition to be themselves. The Supertech SM10 off-road helmet was already a superb helmet, but it has been revamped to give riders an even better blend of safety, comfort and light weight.

The newest version of the Supertech SM10 helmet adheres to the new ECE 22.06 safety standard that went into effect this year, so off-road riders know they’re getting a helmet they can rely on. The features make it a great choice for motocross and off-road riders at all levels, including competitors at the highest levels of the sport.

The SM10’s multi-composite shell has three distinct layers, each with a unique property. The 3K high-density layer is ideal for strength and efficient energy dissipation. The unidirectional carbon composite layer bolsters radial strength around the shell, preventing compression and reducing transmitted impact energy. The third layer is made from aramid fiber, which provides critical penetration protection.

Underneath the shell is the multi-density EPS liner. Specific densities were chosen for each zone of the helmet,

The updated SM10 helmet has a big visual difference from its predecessor. The nose and mouth guard have been re-designed for a smoother profile. The visor has gotten a new look, too, with a tinted click-on visor extension that pops into place.

allowing for better energy absorption in an impact and ensuring a comfortable fit. That fit can be customized with the patented A-Head fitment system, which allows the rider to adjust the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head.

Sandwiched between the EPS liner and the comfort padding liner is the Multi-Directional Impact Protection System, or MIPS. This low-friction layer allows a slight motion that dampens and redirects energy in an impact, helping reduce the chance of a concussion.

Externally, the updated SM10 helmet has a big visual difference from its predecessor. The nose and mouth guard have been redesigned for a smoother profile that reduces the chances of that area catching on something in a crash, which could create unwanted rotational force.

The visor has gotten a new look, too, with a tinted click-on visor extension that pops into place to provide an extra barrier from both the sun and roost. The visor itself has a release system, so it will separate from the helmet in a crash if there is significant impact force applied to it. This breakaway design prevents the visor from catching on anything, reducing rotational forces to the head or neck.

Some racing organizations require helmets to have an internal inflation system, which allows the helmet to be removed after a crash without putting undue stress on the spine. Alpinestars has designed the Supertech SM10 so that it is compatible with the company’s inflation system, which mounts inside the crown of the helmet.

There are 18 intake vents and 10 exhaust ports to ensure incredible airflow through the helmet. The internal comfort liner is removable and washable, and it wicks away moisture to keep heads cool and dry. The SM10 can also accommodate hydration systems via built-in channels. ■

Precious Cargo Helmet and Storage Options

Riders have a lot of things they want to keep wellguarded while riding, from their heads to those essential items that need to come along on the ride. ICON’s Elsinore Magnacross helmet, plus storage options like the Airflite Backpack and Slabtown Slingbag, are among the choices for keeping everything safe and secure.

No one has ever accused ICON of blending in, but that’s what might happen when a rider opts for the Elsinore Magnacross helmet. Available in green and tan colorways, this camouflage graphic has been especially popular with UTV riders.

The graphic, of course, is the only part of the Elsinore helmet that blends in. The helmet itself is a bold motocross-inspired street helmet, including a visor up top for shade. The Fog-Free MXShield is integrated with the face mask, so it can operate as one piece to provide modular functionality. When it’s time to grab a drink or chat with someone, the mask and shield can easily be raised like a traditional modular helmet.

The Elsinore Magnacross helmet has an FRP shell, which is designed for optimal strength with minimal weight. Eight air intakes and two exhaust ports ensure plenty of airflow, and the Hydradry moisture-wicking liner adds to the cooling effect.

For riders who want to stay connected, the Elsinore helmet can easily accommodate ICON’s HelmLink communicator. Just replace the side plates and rear neckroll of the helmet with the HelmLink system, and up to 20 riders can be connected.

The Airflite Backpack is a straightforward way for your customers to stash their gear, but with extra layers of defense to make sure everything is well guarded. The main compartment is made from molded EVA panels, and in addition to adding shape, they also provide a barrier between a rider’s belongings and the hazards of the outside world. The panels are covered in a 600D ripstop polyester and 840D ballistic polyester for maximum durability.

Inside, a padded sleeve will hold a laptop of up to 17 inches. The backpack has a capacity of 24 liters, so there’s plenty of room, and external pockets are ideal for smaller items that need to be in easy reach. There are pockets specifically designed for sunglasses and a water bottle, too. An additional pocket will accommodate a D3O Viper back pad, so the backpack can pull double duty as armor.

ICON designed the Slabtown Slingbag to be an easy grab-and-go option, whether it’s being used on or off the bike. The main compartment has a wide zippered opening with dual zippers, so accessing things inside is easy. There’s a dedicated sunglasses pocket as well as reflective elements for an extra dose of visibility, and the 600D ripstop polyester material is durable. In all, the Slabtown Slingbag holds 8 liters worth of items. ■

Performance Forward

A Street Tire with a Racing Heritage

Racing has long been the preferred proving ground for Pirelli, and the company believes in giving its street riders the same blend of design, technology and quality that go into its racing tires. The DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 tire is a street-legal, track-worthy tire with more than two decades of history and development behind it.

The first Pirelli DIABLO Supercorsa tire debuted in 2007, and this latest iteration is the fourth generation of that original offering. The “SP” in DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 stands for “Sport Production” to differentiate it from its track-use counterpart, the SC.

The SP version of the DIABLO Supercorsa V4 tire offers a faster warm-up time and higher mileage capabilities than the SC. Its characteristics combine to make it a great tire choice for both street riding and track day use. In fact, a rider can easily travel to the track, participate in a track day, then ride home, without ever needing to change the tires.

Pirelli has been the sole tire supplier to the FIM World Superbike Championship since 2004, and the enormous amount of knowledge gained from that series has been poured into this latest version of the DIABLO Supercorsa tire. As Pirelli’s motto so clearly states, “We sell what we race, and we race what we sell.”

The DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 offers street riders outstanding performance, high levels of grip and many of the same features as its racing counterpart, including the tread pattern and profiles.

The shoulder area of the DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 is slick, so it provides increased contact patch and grip when at full lean through the corners. The pattern is also designed for improved water displacement and reduced warm-up time, giving it the right blend of track performance and street reliability.

There is a distinct similarity between the DIABLO Superbike slick tire and the DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 tire. The multiradius profile helps smooth out abrupt direction changes, and riders enjoy improved feedback and handling.

The DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 tire features a dual-compound design on both the front and rear, further improving grip in the corners and while accelerating out of them. The base compound on the front tire is rich in silica for consistency in all temperatures, and the base compound for the rear tire has a 100% carbon black formulation.

The shoulder-area compound on both the front and rear is the same as that used by the racing version of the Supercorsa tire, including a 100 percent carbon black formulation to ensure outstanding handling and grip at lean.

Pirelli fine-tuned the structure for each available size of the DIABLO Supercorsa SP V4 tire. By taking that extra step, each size has been optimized for performance. The proportions of the compound and the arrangement of the tread pattern are among the details that were customized. ■

Re-Imagined Racewear for 2025 Gearing Up for Sportmode

Progress. This is a word that represents something different for everyone, yet all definitions are rooted in the common goal of building forward momentum. THOR is a brand that’s been building on its own momentum and striving for progress for over five decades. In its earliest days, THOR set its own path, away from the status quo. Now, looking ahead at THOR’s 2025 Sportmode racewear collection, the brand is embracing its competitive drive to excel more than ever.

Before diving into the specifics of the Sportmode collection, it’s important to understand the collective mindset and goals of the THOR team that led to Sportmode’s

creation. As mentioned earlier, THOR has been all-in serving motocross riders and racers for over 50 years. Countless hours of creating, testing, developing, re-thinking and heading back to the drawing board have accumulated over decades of racing and winning at the highest levels around the globe, all leading to constant progression.

The 2025 Sportmode collection is the product of the fire of passion and competition that drives THOR to push its products’ performance limits beyond riders’ expectations.

For THOR, Sportmode is the peak of athletic motocross performance. THOR sums up this line as “An all-new creation for those athletes striving for greatness and that coveted top step.” The design of Sportmode is based on a minimalistic approach achieved through maximized technology.

Sportmode racewear sets are available in five different styles – Brave, SD, Rogue, Strike and Riot. Each of the jerseys and pants in this collection boast reduced chassis panels and seams, allowing for a superior athletic fit with increased overall stretch and body contouring, key aspects of THOR’s Race Spec sizing. This is achieved with four-way stretch construction, allowing riders unrestricted body mobility on the bike.

Airflow to keep riders cool is handled by laser cut perforation in strategic areas throughout each jersey and pant, and those warm weather qualities are accentuated with moisture wicking material. Comfort in each Sportmode jersey and pant is maximized further with minimal, taped seams, reducing skin irritation and overall weight.

Each set of Sportmode pants are built with a zipper-less waist opening and feature a precision fit, ratchet closure system to help riders achieve their perfect fit. Durability is also maximized with full-grain leather inner knee grip panels and knee protection overlays, helping riders focus on their craft and not worry about whether their gear is holding up.

THOR’s new Sportmode in the Riot/Acid colorway
The Brave design features clean, race-forward graphic elements. Pictured here in black.

No details went unaddressed with Sportmode, down to sticky silicone on the drop tails of the jerseys and inside the waist band of the pants, keeping jerseys in place while riders move around on their machines, helping them stay focused.

As a package, Sportmode racewear is THOR’s ultimate balance of elite performance, comfort and durability for motocross riders. Each Sportmode gearset backs this up with innovative, next-level visual designs that truly make a statement.

The Brave design is offered in black and blue variants with clean, race-forward graphic elements for a kit that will look great on any bike. The SD kit is inspired by the vibes of San Diego, California sunsets, displaying palm tree silhouettes on a sunset-colored background that will have riders ready to hit the beach for some post-moto relaxation.

The range of visual styles of Sportmode is a characteristic that helps define it as THOR’s best yet. Rogue , Strike and Riot sets each bring their own look to the game, all reflecting the race-forward, modern mindset that created Sportmode. Ranging from sleek lines and clean colors to striking, edgy visual elements and high-vis color, riders will be looking like they came straight out of the factory race rig to line up on the gate.

The Sportmode collection is completed with redesigned gloves. Offered in standard and vented variants, Sportmode gloves share similar four-way stretch construction for unrestricted mobility. Comfort continues to be the name of the game with Sportmode gloves, featuring soft Clarino® palm material, a taped cuff and minimal seam design. For added functionality, THOR also integrated silicone fingertips for better lever control, plus touchscreen capability.

With Sportmode gloves, riders will get maximum feel from the minimalistic coverage design. Plus, they complement the look of each of the Sportmode gear sets, offered in a wide variety of nine colorways and styles.

Whatever your customers are riding or wherever they hit the track, THOR’s new Sportmode collection has been set in motion to create a collaborative function, style and vibe that transcends what they think they know about racewear. ■

TEasy Does It Tire Sales Support and Education

ire sales should be easy for dealers. That mindset is at the heart of Dunlop’s efforts to support dealers, while also educating riders about the brand’s tire options. To make things easy for dealers, though, Dunlop has to keep an incredible number of staff on the go, doing everything from attending events to helping racers stay competitive.

As part of its commitment to supporting dealers, Dunlop employs a dedicated staff of employees that does everything from servicing dealerships to attending rallies, open houses, races and other events.

At the same time, Dunlop’s team of experts are also focused on educating riders about the benefits and value of Dunlop Motorcycle Tires. That way, by the time the rider arrives at the dealer, they are already up to speed on which set of Dunlop tires will be right for them. Sales staff is then freed up to focus on any other needs the rider might have.

Dunlop has staff working in all facets of getting tires out of the stockroom and onto a rider’s bike, including sales, marketing, product and even race departments. These are the Dunlop reps you see at rallies, open houses, races and other events. From local dealer rides to national rallies, Dunlop is on site.

Dunlop has a dedicated team that works with Parts reps and dealers every day. They make sure everyone involved in the sales of Dunlop tires has the latest product information and sales tools available to make selling Dunlop tires a success for everyone.

Dunlop’s Regional Service Managers are the ones responsible for setting up and displaying Dunlop tires at dealer open houses or bike nights, helping to increase rider education with both product knowledge and fitment advice.

When it comes to rallies, Dunlop has a strong presence at OEM-centric events like the KTM National Rally, BMW MOA National and Regional rallies, and the Harley-Davidson Homecoming. And, of course, you’ll find Dunlop at Daytona Bike Week and Sturgis each year.

Ladies haven’t been forgotten, either: Dunlop is proud to be involved with the Babes Ride Out family of events, where female riders come together to share their love of motorcycling.

Motorcycle racing enthusiasts already know Dunlop from their presence at events like Monster Energy Supercross, MotoAmerica, American Flat Track and Loretta Lynn’s Amateur National Motocross. Dunlop not only has a setup for fans to enjoy and learn from, but they are also there in a technical capacity, assisting racers with their tire needs. The knowledge gleaned from racing involvement is used to develop the next generation of consumer tires, further increasing the likelihood that riders will want to choose Dunlop. ■

A CHAMPION’S LEGACY

TENTH ANNUAL KURT CASELLI FOUNDATION MOTODOFFO FUNDRAISER

Launched in 2014, just one year after the death of its namesake and honoree, the Kurt Caselli Foundation has had a laser focus on working to enhance and improve the safety of riders and racers in the off-road motorcycling community.

In that time, the Foundation has raised more than $2.5 million toward its mission through its fundraisers, including the wildly popular Kurt Caselli Ride Day and the annual Kurt Caselli Foundation MotoDoffo Event. Of that total, the Foundation has spent nearly $1.2 million on its safety work.

In June, the Foundation celebrated the 10th year of holding the event at the Doffo Winery in Temecula, California. It was a full day of interactive fun, food, music, a silent auction and raffles all set among the winery’s stunning collection of more than 150 vintage and modern motorcycles.

The 10th anniversary MotoDoffo fundraiser was another successful event, with returning supporters and new enthusiasts all gathered for one purpose. They were there to honor Caselli, who tragically died in a racing accident at the 2013 Baja 1000 in Mexico, and to learn about the legendary rider’s legacy and the Foundation’s safety initiatives.

The event also included the chance to win a 2024 KTM 890 Adventure R Rally motorcycle, an exclusive model with only 100 units available in the US. The limited edition bike features all the top performance rally parts with an MSRP of $21,499. Proceeds from the bike raffle fund the Foundation’s $120,000 annual safety budget. The winner was announced at the MotoDoffo event by Foundation President and Board Member Donny Emler Jr., who called Timothy Sammis of Peoria, Illinois to give him the news that he had won the KTM.

Story and photos by Joe Colombero

Among the accomplishments of the Foundation is its Scholarship Program, which has raised and delivered a total of $165,500 to help 58 scholarship recipients with tuition. In the past 12 months, the Foundation has also donated $31,500 in standardized course markers to 30-plus motorcycle clubs and racing organizations to enhance race safety.

The Foundation has also deployed six safety vehicles to help quicken response in emergencies. TKCF just donated a new Polaris Ranger unit to the Grand National Cross-Country Series that’s been outfitted with a new insert, backboard, lights and communications.

Nancy “Mama” Caselli took time to remind the crowd that Kurt often said that it was important to him to be a good person off the bike. Kurt, who was always helpful to other riders, would likely be very pleased about the Foundation’s efforts. ■

Performance on Tour Sport-Touring

Tires Made to Last

The more capable a motorcycle is, the better the tires have to be to keep up with it. There’s no point having a performance-oriented bike that can’t meet expectations because the tires aren’t up to the task. For sport-touring, tires have even more work to do. Not only do the tires have to offer excellent performance and handling, but they also need to last as riders put on the miles.

It’s a tall order, but Avon has found the right blend of performance and longevity with the Spirit ST tire. This sport-touring tire is able to go the distance while also providing outstanding grip in both wet and dry conditions. From cornering to long stretches of open road, and on both sunny and rainy days, the Spirit ST tire is ready for the ride.

The Spirit ST tire is available in 16 sizes, which means it can accommodate a wide range of bikes, from lightweight models all the way up to the heavyweight sport-touring bikes.

It takes a careful combination of tread and carcass design, compounds and technologies to create a tire that excels in handling, stability and longevity. One of those technologies is Avon’s 3D Sipes. These interlocking three-dimensional

points are hidden in the spines of the tread. They might not be visible, but their effect is evident. In addition to improving stability and grip, 3D Sipes also limit tread flex and help the tire come up to temperature quickly.

The compound of the Spirit ST plays a big role in the wet-weather performance of the tire. A high amount of silica combined with cutting-edge polymer technology results in excellent handling and traction in both wet and dry conditions. And, since sport-touring riders often have to be ready for changing weather, that means the Spirit ST is a choice that offers confidence, no matter what the forecast might be.

The rear Spirit ST tire features a multi-compound design, which adds to the ultra-high-performance handling and stability of the tire. The Spirit ST tire is so known for its stability that it has become a favorite among drift riders, who value the predictable feedback the tire provides under even the most strenuous of riding scenarios. ■

Brake Pads in the DNA

Three Generations of Quality Compounds

TNow run by the third generation of the Milesi family, Galfer’s lineup of brake products is backed by sevenplus decades of experience and know-how.

hese days, Galfer is best known for its brake rotors and lines, but the company got its start in the 1950s with brake shoes for manufacturers like Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Seat. Brake shoes eventually evolved into brake pads, and Galfer is still manufacturing them today.

And it’s still the same family doing the manufacturing. Galfer is currently run by the third generation of the Milesi family, and as Galfer USA’s Sandro Milesi says, brake pads are in their blood.

The brake pads produced today have more than 70 years of history and research behind them. Before modern climate control systems were around, Galfer founder Maffio Milesi had to do things the hard way. He would record the temperature and humidity each day, then use that information to know what could be done in the factory under those conditions. Of course, with today’s climate control systems, it’s much easier, but that same dedication to detail can still be found in every brake pad.

The goal at Galfer has always been to provide customers with top-quality materials and components. Factors like longevity, lever feel and decreased brake dust are all considered. Galfer crafts its compounds for each specific segment. In powersports, that means sportbike brake pads are significantly different than ATV and UTV pads. In some cases, compounds are even created for specific vehicles. ■

Honda Helper A Synthetic-Blend

Oil for 4-Strokes

Every powersports manufacturer has their own way of building an engine, which means that the oil that works for one brand might not be the best choice for another. BelRay’s new EXP 10W-30 synthetic-blend oil was especially formulated for Honda 4-stroke engines, and it’s available in both 1-liter and 4-liter sizes.

In addition to working well with all air-cooled and liquid-cooled 4-stroke Honda motorcycles – including both on-road and off-road models – the EXP 10W-30 oil is also a suitable choice for Honda scooters.

A synthetic ester blend 4T engine oil like the EXP 10W-30 allows riders to have a high-quality oil without paying a high price. The team at Bel-Ray came up with the ideal formulation for Honda 4-strokes, blending quality synthetic oils with select mineral base oils.

Bel-Ray’s new EXP 10W-30 oil is specifically formulated for Honda 4-stroke engines.

Bel-Ray recommends the EXP 10W-30 for Honda riders who change their oil every 5,000 miles. While those miles are adding up, the oil is hard at work keeping the engine running at an optimal level.

Extreme pressure additives give added protection to the transmission, and riders will notice the smoother shifting. The high film strength of the EXP 10W-30 means engine components are well protected, too.

Other additives help the oil to continue performing well throughout its life. Shear-resistant VI improvers have been added to maintain viscosity, and the formulation’s oxidation resistance guards against oil breakdown. ■
