AM/PM Program offers a well-rounded program in a safe and secure environment located in the elementary schools within the City of Peoria. Lil’ Learners All Day Preschool
Children participate in a variety of activities and expand education, social and developmental skills in a supervised and secure environment. The goal is the total well-being of each child. The program is licensed by the Department of Health Services (DHS). When Year-Round; Mon. - Fri.; 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Ages Children 3 1/2 - 5 years old. Children must be able to toilet themselves. The Youth Advisory Board consists of nineteen local youth who advise the City Council, through the City Manager, on recreation programs, events, ordinances and proposals pertaining to youth within our community. Teen Dating Violence Prevention
This course focuses on the effects that dating violence has on our youth. The overall goal is to provide teens with the knowledge and skills necessary to have a healthy relationship, know if they are in an abusive relationship, be able to help a friend or family member identify abuse, and most importantly, how to stay safe. Once you are placed on a team and have a coach, you will be notified of your practice day/time/location. If you are unable to practice on that day or need to switch teams for any reason, there will be a change request code available at the conclusion of registration. Practices/Games Teams will practice one weeknight beginning the week of Sept. 18 that is chosen by the volunteer coach. All games will be Sat. mornings beginning Sept. 30. Times and locations will be determined based on availability and registration numbers. Age Groups Please make sure you are registering for the proper age/gender for your child. Children may not play in a younger age group, however, they may play up if they are less than 12 months from the age cut off date and meet the minimum age requirement for the sports (ex. An 8 year old may play 9-10 soccer, but a 3 year old cannot play 4-5 soccer). The age cut off date for this season is Sept. 30 (first day of games).

Welcome to Lake Pleasant Regional Park. One of the most scenic water recreation areas in the “Valley of the Sun,” this northwest Valley park is a recreationist’s dream! Practical Desert Safety Presentation
A ‘super’ full moon will light a desert path as we take a guided family walk along Westwing Park trail, tuning into the natural sounds and sights that come out after dark. Lead by a retired National Park Service Ranger, you’ll learn about nature’s night life and take a look at the moon through a telescope. We’ll begin and end our hike under a canopy in the park, with hot chocolate and questions/answer session with Ranger John. (Children age 8-12 must be accompanied by a parent.) Fee applies to each attendee. Wear sturdy walking shoes and bring a flashlight, lawn chair/blanket.

Discovery Agents Mission Expedition - Rio Vista Park
Our recreation leader and Roxie Roadrunner will guide kids through our new mobile game, Discovery Agents app, using gps-located challenges to learn about the wildlife, plants, and water living at Rio Vista Park. Students will embark on an outdoor walking mission, using their own mobile device (phone,tablet) hiking through the park, making a nature craft to take home, enjoying a picnic, and leaning more about our natural world. If you are not completely satisfied with the activities and programs offered, we will assist you in the following ways:
Transfer you to another activity or class immediately. Credit your account in the computer immediately, which then can
be used by any family member for any recreation program in the future.
Refund your money. If you paid by credit or debit card, the amount
will be credited to your account. There will be no cash refunds. If you paid by cash or check, refunds take approximately three to four weeks to process and will be mailed to the address on the account. Refund checks will be made payable to the head of the household unless otherwise directed.
Class General Policies
• Assume you are registered and attend the first class. • NO confirmations will be sent. • Other than Parent Tot classes, parents remain outside the classroom. • Non-registered individuals are not allowed to attend classes.
Active Adults General Policies
Registration for trips is on a first-come, first-served basis. PAYMENT IS DUE AT TIME OF REGISTRATION. Times and, occasionally prices, are subject to change. Cancellations: For events where a ticket has been purchased or space booked from an outside agency (theater, travel company, etc.), we cannot issue a full refund, we can only try to resell your ticket, or you may sell it yourself. In some cases, a partial refund will be mailed to you in approximately 3 - 4 weeks. Transportation is by school bus, city van or charter bus. All trips require a minimum number of registrations. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure time.
NO refunds, credits or transfers will be issued after the program or session has concluded. Refunds will be given for registration fees only.

Resident Rate
If where you permanently reside or live is located within the corporate limits of the City of Peoria and you pay property taxes to the City, you are eligible for the resident rate. Proof of residency is required at the time of registration. Acceptable proof is a copy of your property tax statement showing the physical location of your residence or we can look this up at www.maricopa.gov.
Notice to Persons with Disabilities
The City of Peoria Community Services Department strives to make its programs, services and facilities accessible to individuals with disabilities. If you would like to request modification that would allow you or a family member with a disability to participate successfully in a program, contact the Community Services Department at (623) 773-7137 and request that an application for modification be mailed to you. The city requires two weeks to implement a reasonable modification. Participation in a desired program may not begin until the request for modification has been thoroughly reviewed. Therefore, complete an application two or more weeks prior to a desired start date.
