February 2023 Meeting Minutes

Megan: 4th of July: She will start contacting vendors for the weekend in the next couple of weeks. She also mentioned that if you are talking to other members and/or members of the community that are not part of SLC, you may consider asking about firework donations. It is never to early to start asking about donations for this. The cost is expected to be around $14k - $15k this year based on last years price; so the more we can collect, the better off the lake club will be.

4. OLD BUSINESS:

(a) Grant Award Status – No new information available

(b) Pump Station Project – Kevin indicated that the pumps have been ordered, but are on back-order; The County did award the work to 2 contractors, one will sub it out to the other They are hoping to get work started later on in July timeframe; but will be dependent on availability of product. He will keep the board updated as more information is passed on to him.

5. NEW BUSINESS:

(a) Construction Project Committee – Aline brought up that she thinks it would be helpful to help facilitate the activities of these major projects around our community. We could bring information to the membership on an asneeded basis and make sure that all members who are affected by the work are made aware ahead of time so we don’t have issues similar to what we have had on some of work being done recently around our community. She will put some thought into who should be on the committee (from the board and the general membership as well) and bring her suggestions back to the board at a future meeting.

6. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, the regular meeting was adjourned. The next regular meeting of the Board of Directors will be Monday, March 27, 2023.
