word from our Annual Giving Coordinator, Melanie Roark
My name is Melanie Roark, and I am the newest member of the Phelps Regional Health Care Foundation family. I am no stranger to Phelps County Regional Medical Center, as I worked in the Accounting Department since 2008. The flow from PCRMC to the Foundation was seamless because those I now work most closely with have been
Working for PCRMC has given me a firm grasp of its mission and vision, but the transfer to the Foundation has allowed me a more hands-on approach to the fulfillment of that through philanthropic opportunities. The Foundation is now embarking on a journey to ensure that health care delivery in Phelps County and surrounding communities continues to be transformational. In my current role as Annual Giving Coordinator, it makes it very easy to be passionate about this position when my focus is to recognize those who better the patient experience.
Honoring Your Caregiver as a Guardian Angel
As the Annual Giving Coordinator, one of my primary responsibilities is administrating the Guardian Angel caregiver recognition program. The Guardian Angel program provides philanthropic opportunities for grateful patients, their loved ones and even PCRMC staff to recognize a special caregiver they believe makes a difference and provides exceptional service to patients of PCRMC. Guardian Angels receive a recognition certificate, a comment card showing the kind words that were said by the donor and a custom-crafted lapel pin to wear proudly on their uniform.
Your Donations Make a Difference
Did you know for every $1,000 in contributions to the Foundation, PCRMC would have to bill $144,000 to receive the same amount? When donors recognize Guardian Angels, the donation can be directed to the fund of their choice and then become immediately available and put to work. Contributions received through the Guardian Angel program enable the Phelps Regional Health Care Foundation to enhance the quality of patient care to the constituents in all PCRMC communities. Because of your generous support, the Guardian Angel program provides necessary contributions that allow world-class health care to continually be available to the communities we serve. Thank you for your continued support! To honor your Guardian Angel please contact me at (573) 458-7699 or go online to giving.pcrmc.com/guardianangel.
Sincerely,
Melanie Roark Annual Giving Coordinator
Guardian Angels The following were recognized by their patients or co-workers for the excellent and compassionate care they provided. Special Guardian Angel awards are presented to individuals or groups that achieve 10, 25, 50 or 100 lifetime recognition milestones. Award recipients are designated with a gold star ( ), which displays their current cumulative recognition total.
