Without planning, where would we be? We wouldn’t have cities, parks or even public transportation! Parks is currently planning for new recreational opportunities along the Pipeline Trail, in Orangegate Park, Half Dollar Park, the Parkland Community Trail, and the Foothills Trail - East Puyallup Trailhead.

The portion of the Pipeline Trail within the City of Tacoma was completed in 2020, running from downtown Tacoma to 72nd & Waller. Pierce County plans to continue building the trail that follows the Tacoma Water pipeline, aka Pipeline Road, to eventually connect to trails and parks on South Hill.
