WELCOME WORDS GOOD afternoon and welcome to everyone to the Ladies’ first home game this season and our first ever league game at the Manadon Sports Hub. I would like to start my notes and thank a few people as we would not be here at this fantastic Sports Hub if it was not for a few people. Thanks to Mark Lovell and his fantastic team, especially Lewis Coombes and Matt Coates, as they have been instrumental in getting these facilities up and running and allowing us to call this 'home' this season.

Thank you to all the PALFC committee in their support and hard work in pre-season to get all the cogs well-oiled behind the scenes to enable the ladies football to run smoothly and successfully. We all appreciate what they do without saying and one phrase I really like, and my players certainly hear it a lot from me, is 'It's what you do that people don't see that makes the biggest difference'. There has been a lot happening in recent months in and behind the scenes at the football club and especially involving the way the Ladies are moving forward.

We are running an Under-18 Girls team and I am delighted to welcome Gary Bottomley and Ryan Lawton to PALFC and seeing and sharing their journey with their team. We have just linked in a new partnership with Marjon University and the FA. This will be our training-base for the future and we look forward to working with Marjons and the FA very closely. I will speak about these two great and exciting ventures in my next couple of programme notes.

Last, but not least, I would like to welcome my fellow manager and his Keynsham players to Plymouth for this FA Women’s National Premier League South fixture. I do hope they enjoy our fantastic new facility and we wish them all the best for the season - after today of course! Hope you all enjoy the game. Come on the Greens!!

Dave Leonard
