WELCOME WORDS

FA WOMEN’S NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUE SOUTH AUGUST 18 v Crawley A L 0-2

GOOD afternoon and welcome to all our supporters and the players, management and supporters of Yeovil Town Ladies to the Manadon Sports Hub.

SEPTEMBER 1 v Gillingham A W 2-0 8 v Keynsham H W 6-1 15 v Yeovil Town H 22 v Hounslow A 29 v MK Dons A

We find ourselves at home for the second consecutive week, having started our home fixtures last week, when Keynsham visited.

I have to say a massive ‘thank you’ to all the 204 supporters who came and watched us last week. I really hope they all went away happy and impressed at the level of women’s football being played in Plymouth, literally on their doorstep.

OCTOBER 6 v Cardiff H 20 v Portsmouth A 27 v Oxford A

Argyle Ladies are competing at the third tier of women’s football, which equates to League 1 in the men’s game. I really want the Argyle Ladies to get the recognition they deserve, especially considering the level of commitment invested by them when playing at this level.

I would love every one reading this to get behind the women’s game and come down to Manadon and watch the Ladies in action. It was also great to see some of the firstteam men’s squad come down to watch and support us.

I would like to share with you the great work being done by great people that are in and around me at first-team level and for you to see who’s who behind the scenes in the women’s and girl’s game at Plymouth Argyle. Director of Football: Trevor Rodd

I have to say, when I look at the above personnel, I feel proud and lucky to be working in such a great off-field team. I have talked about the commitment on the playing side but I cannot even begin to tell you how committed all the staff are, the endless amount of work they do, hours spent away from their families on evenings and Sundays to manage, coach, drive the bus and keep players fit to enable them to compete and wear the badge of this great football club. Hope you all enjoy the game. Come on you Greens!
