CUSTOMER FEEDBACK CHANGES OUR MODEL RANGE Ponsse’s research and development activities are always based on customers’ needs. Therefore, they are not limited to the design of new technologies. Our existing range of machines is continuously being developed and improved. Each year about a thousand continuous improvement changes are made in the PONSSE product family, based on the development wishes of customers, maintenance and production. For example, the following changes have made their way into production. PONSSE SYNC’S NEWEST VERSION 2.0 NOW DOWNLOADABLE FROM GOOGLE PLAY
PONSSE Sync is a mobile application that can be used as a data mule to transfer data from PONSSE forest machines to PONSSE Manager service via a smartphone. This is especially useful in situations where the site is not covered by data transfer networks. PONSSE Sync is free, and it can be downloaded from Google Play. The new version works only on an Android
phone (not on an iPhone), and it includes the following improvements: • PONSSE Sync informs the user when it connects with the machine. Data transfer starts when the user clicks on the icon. • PONSSE Sync remembers connected machines. • It shows a list of connected machines and the data transferred from each of them. • Requirements: Android Pie 9.0 (published in 2018), Android 10 (published in 2019) or a newer Android version
AUTOMATIC STEEP SLOPE BRAKE (ASSB)
Automatic steep slope brake (ASSB) is a system that monitors the speeds of the components included in the machine’s powerline and activates the brakes automatically if abnormal deviations are found in average speeds. This automatic steep slope brake is included as standard in machines with PONSSE Synchrowinch. It is also an option for the eight-wheeled PONSSE Ergo, Bear, Cobra, Buffalo, Elephant and Elephant King forest machines.
