As we enter Q2 of 2019, I am excited to contemplate our year ahead. Having just released the Macan Gen 2 in February, we were overwhelmed with the response from our client base. The new colours were received well and our standard specifications now include 14 Way Leather Seats and Surround View, which makes parking so much easier. You may have noticed, if recently here for service with your car, we have added the all new Cayenne and also the face-lifted Macan to our Service Loan Fleet. In February I was fortunate enough to be included in the release of our new 911 in Palm Springs, California. All I can say is “INCREDIBLE!"
31% followed by Europe at 30% then North America at 26%. Interestingly, the Panamera was 38% up against 2017 with 38,443 deliveries. The SUV market share was 86,031 Macans and 71,458 Cayennes. Our 718 Boxster / Cayman was 24,750 deliveries, with China delivering over 5,000 units. Our regular sojourn to Finland was once again a resounding success with 20 attendees again. Please check your diaries for the end of January next year so you can join us in the snow along with multiple 911’s and many other happy Porsche owners. We have recently taken delivery of our first Panamera GTS Generation 2 and all I can say is "You need to drive it!" Such an exciting and rewarding vehicle to drive. We are hoping it is still here for the up coming Hunter Valley Drive Experience on May 22nd to Keith Tulloch Winery for lunch. Remember to email your registration, every year has been oversubscribed. FYI Natalie’s email is natalie.doldo@porschewilloughby.com.au
They have done it again; our 911 Timeless Machine. We had 120 new 992 series Carrera 2S and 4S models garaged at our Hotel and ready for the drive on Route 74 through the desert and across the mountain ranges. We also were able to drive at the Thermal Racetrack to test the handling at speed. A tremendous event experienced with 150 fellow Porsche Dealers from around the globe. On April the 13th we will release the new 911 in Australia. I do hope you will have the time to visit our showroom and have a look at our very spectacular new 911. There are many changes to the inside as well as the exterior, the shape remains the same, yet different! Some very bold colours that really do it justice - there could even be a resurgence of Yellow and Red. Porsche delivered 256,255 vehicles worldwide last year, a 4% increase on 2017. Their largest market was China with 4
Our Advanced Driver Training this year is June 18th at Sydney Motorsport Park and as always will be a very rewarding time especially for “new” Porsche owners. On a personal note, I am looking forward to our '50 year celebration' week in September. We are planning lots of surprises and events for our VIP’s (Very Important Porsche Owners) so please find time to visit us during that month.

THE NEW 911
PAUL SAUNDERS
"While we are starting a new chapter in our sports car history with the Taycan, this Golden 993 demonstrates how incredibly passionate we are about our brand.”
The new 911 is the sum of its predecessors – and is therefore a reflection of the past and a vision of the future. The eighth generation of the 911.
We hit the streets of Sydney with Porsche 911 GT3 owner Paul Saunders who tells us about his Porsche journey and his Carmine red GT car.

The design of the 993 series 911 Turbo is based on an original bodyshell, and the vehicle’s appearance is just as unique as its history: Painted in Golden Yellow Metallic, it references the 2018 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. The black wheels are highlighted by Golden Yellow design accents, while the seats and interior trim are finished in black with Golden Yellow details. The bodyshell features the characteristic side air intakes of the 993 Turbo S that were also available as an option for the regular 911 Turbo in 1998. Developing 450 horsepower, the classic sports car will celebrate its world premiere at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion in Laguna Seca (USA) on September 27, 2018. The collector’s item, which is limited to use on private tracks, will then be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s at the Porsche Experience Center in Atlanta on October 27, 2018. The proceeds will be donated to the Ferry Porsche Foundation, a non-profit organization established this year to mark the “70 years of Porsche sports cars” celebrations. “Project Gold” showcases the comprehensive skill of Porsche Classic in fascinating fashion”, says Detlev von Platen, Member of the Executive Board responsible for Sales and Marketing at Porsche AG. “This project clearly demonstrates our strategic approach. Although we are starting a new chapter in our sports car history with the Porsche Taycan, the story of how the company evolved is no less significant. On the contrary, this Golden Yellow 993 demonstrates how incredibly passionate we are about the tradition of our brand.”
Construction of the unique vehicle took approximately one and a half years. The bodyshell was first put through the corrosion protection and painting process applied to today’s seriesproduction vehicles. The collector’s item was then assembled and tuned by Porsche Classic specialists at the Porsche restoration workshop in Stuttgart. A brand new 3.6-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine developing 450 hp was installed, delivering the performance the vehicle originally had when it was in production. The manual transmission and all-wheel drive were also sourced from the Porsche Classic range of genuine parts. The hand-stamped chassis number follows the last seriesproduction model of the 993 Turbo which rolled off the production line in 1998.
“Project Gold” represents Porsche Classic’s spectacular contribution to the “70 years of Porsche sports cars” celebrations: With this anniversary in mind as well as the forthcoming market launch of the Taycan as the first purely electric Porsche sports car, the experts at Porsche Classic came up with the idea of constructing a completely new vehicle based on an existing genuine type 993 bodyshell, showcasing both tradition and innovation. The experts were able to rely on a selection of over 6,500 genuine parts that Porsche Classic offers exclusively for 993 generation models. Overall, the Classic division currently stocks some 52,000 parts, which can be sourced via Porsche Classic Partners and Porsche Centers around the globe to repair and restore classic Porsche cars.
The exterior and interior elements were coordinated with the workshop’s dedicated Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur experts who were responsible for creating the 2018 911 Turbo S Exclusive series, which was limited to 500 units worldwide. To complement these elements, the designers at Style Porsche

worked on the color gradients and positioning of badges as well as other interior details. The 993 remains a sought-after collector’s item to this day, and is considered a particularly sophisticated and reliable vehicle. It was the first 911 to feature a redesigned aluminium chassis, giving it exceptional agility at the time. The 911 Turbo version of the 993 was also the first to have a twin-turbo engine, making it the lowestemission standard automotive powertrain in the world in 1995. The front section is lowerslung than on the earlier 911 models, thanks to a switch from round to poly ellipsoidal headlights. Hollow-spoke aluminum wheels, a first for any car with aluminum wheels, were another innovation of the all-wheel drive 911 Turbo version. Only 345 units of the 911 Turbo S with its 450-hp performance-enhanced engine were built. What is to become of this one or one build? After a total of 37 bids and ten minutes, the “911 Turbo Classic Series” was auctioned off at the Porsche Experience Centre Atlanta (USA) as part of the “RM Sotheby’s – The Porsche 70th Anniversary Auction 2018” event. This car – based on an original 993 body shell – was sold for a total price of EUR 2.743.500. The one-off piece created by Porsche Classic is already considered a highly sought-after collectors’ item. The net proceeds of EUR 2.589.027 will go directly to the not-for-profit Ferry Porsche Foundation, which was set up this year to mark the brand’s anniversary, “70 years of Porsche sports cars”. Porsche Classic has also created two

Porsche customers can opt to upgrade their vehicles with a new aluminium tank cap (available for all 911 models from the years 1980 to 1998) and a black tail pipe. A total of 51 vehicles went under the hammer during the auction. The Estimate for the unique 911 Turbo Classic Series was EUR 154.473 equivalent to the retail price for a 911 Turbo S from 1998. The story behind the “Project Gold” model is as unusual as the design itself: Painted in Golden Yellow Metallic, it references the 2018 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series. The black wheels are highlighted by Golden Yellow design accents, while the seats and interior trim are finished in black with Golden Yellow details. The bodyshell features the characteristic side air intakes of the 993 type 911 Turbo S. The 331 kW (450 hp) Classic Series celebrated its world premiere at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion in Laguna Seca (USA) on September 27, 2018.

We talk to PCW client Paul Saunders about his Porsche journey and his mighty 4.0-litre naturally aspirated GT3 steed.
P
Paul was sitting on the side of the road in his naturally aspirated 3.4 Litre 991 generation 911. A police car is positioned behind him after an over enthusiastic re-enactment of the high speed Porsche training exercise he had experienced just days before. He knew the coming licence-less months in his future would be very hard with a Porsche in the garage he couldn’t drive. Finding the silver lining, he sold the 991 Carrera and ordered a Carmine red 911 GTS. “While I’m learning my lesson, I needed something to look forward to!” Says Paul. The GTS became Paul's go-to every day transport, and it performed admirably on the street, closed roads and tracks on the local circuits. As Paul’s thirst for track time and motorsport driving grew, he knew a transition into one of the marques ‘Born in Flacht’ Motorsport derived offerings would be… beneficial! A new Carmine red 911 4.0 Litre 2018 GT3 drove out of the Porsche Centre Willoughby dealership in mid 2018 with Paul at the helm sporting the new car grin. “It’s a keeper,” says Paul, as the unadulterated engine sound of the purebred high-performance naturally aspirated engine fills the cabin. A 4.0-litre six-cylinder engine derived from the 911 GT3 Cup packs a punch at 500hp. I would have to agree! Paul asks the ownership confirming reciprocal question of; how long will the GT3 line be naturally aspirated? As the aerodynamic front spoiler searches through the traffic leading onto the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Paul tells us how he started on his Porsche journey. “My love for Porsche started when I was a young man model making and building radio-controlled cars. That’s where it started for me and I never lost the passion for them.”

Driving a GT3 in a day isn't 24 hours. It's 8,640,000 hundredths of a second.
“My first Porsche was a guards red Porsche 944 bought new in the UK in 1984, which I had for about 2 years before moving into another guards red Porsche - this time a 911 in the 1987 3.2 Carrera. Next, a black 928 S graced the driveway before the move to Australia, queue family. Once the kids didn’t need carting around, I found myself sitting in an empty people mover questioning my sanity… It was time to come back to the cars I loved” said Paul. “I was looking for a used 911 and a friend of mine gave me some advice, he said: Pay more money and buy it from the dealer get the Porsche warranty. I ended up buying a two-year-old 997, which ended up having some technical complications quickly diagnosed and remedied by PCW. This experience of a brand backing their product one hundred percent, ignited a loyalty between Paul and Porsche Centre Willoughby that is still strong today. At that time on Paul’s journey he was only looking for an entry point into the 911 world - now he has progressed to a GT tuned 911 with a racing chassis, dynamic engine mounts and rear-axle steering. Paul’s latest ride, the new 911 GT3, naturally unites superlative performance with a down-to-earth spirit. It has everything he needs to hold his own on the roads and race tracks of his world. It’s an unadulterated sports car, one that breathes motorsport and defies the tarmac. A race car that turns old dreams and new personal goals into achievable aims on the race track. But it’s also a glimpse of motorsport technologies to come, for Paul, in this spec it is the perfect car. A Porsche know by three letters, Gee Tee Three!

More powerful, faster, digital – the Porsche 911 is now entering its eighth generation. Unmistakably committed to the Porsche design DNA, with a much more muscular look and an interior featuring a 10.9-inch touchscreen monitor, the new 911 is timeless – and also modern.
Having an unmistakably familiar match with Porsche design DNA yet undoubtedly new: the latest 911 is wider, more assertive, and more muscular. New LED headlights and a bonnet in the style of earlier generations of the 911 combine innovative, ground-breaking design elements with distinctively Porsche advanced features. An even sportier look has been achieved with wings that are up to 45 millimetres wider and larger wheels on the rear axle. The vehicle width is emphasised by a newly structured rear featuring a new, continuous LED light strip and distinctive third brake light.
Bonnet in the style of the G series The front end revives a traditional feature of the earlier G series 911: a forward-extended bonnet with a distinctive recess in front of the windscreen. Both elements lengthen the front of the vehicle and create a dynamic look, while at the same time completely new LED headlights indicate the advanced technology in the 911. These headlights are almost seamlessly integrated into the wings, and have a typically 911 look – round and upright. The optional LED matrix headlights have a tailored design to suit their advanced technology and are a real visual highlight. Optimised daytime running lights ensure that the 911 has greater presence. The four-point signature has been extended in a three dimensional line to the rear, while front air intakes have been combined and given a sense of visual unity with a continuous black intake trim. Horizontal lines dominate here also. The front light modules are now much narrower.

"The eighth generation of the 911 is even more powerful, even more emotional, and even more efficient than its predecessor – and also offers extensive digital features. And in spite of all the innovations, the 911 is still just what it has always been: a puristic sports car and the pulsing heart of Porsche – our icon.” Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG
Wide body with smooth surfaces With an unchanged wheelbase, the new 911 is now 20 millimetres longer and a great deal wider: generally 45 millimetres at the front axle and 44 millimetres at the rear axle of the Carrera S. These changes give the new 911 an even flatter look, particularly when viewed from the front. The modern, straight lines of the front end are continued consistently in the side view. The door gives the impression of having been seamlessly inserted between the front and rear wings, with straight lines and no frills. The sweep of the side contour begins lower down than on the previous model, moving the visual centre of gravity lower and thereby underlining the more compact appearance of the new 911. This impression is further emphasised by the wheels at the rear axle, which are around an inch larger. Flush door handles which pop out electrically on approach, and a rectangular, aerodynamically enhanced exterior mirror design complete the calm, powerfully modelled vehicle side. The exterior mirrors have also been redesigned, and are now optimised to minimise wind noise. It is also possible to fold the mirrors in electronically. The standard black lower mirror trim is also optionally available in the vehicle colour.
start the engine – on the left of the steering column of course. In short, analogue precision and digital integration have been blended together in a manner that is typical for the brand. Under the roof-like wing, the dashboard has a black recessed horizontal operating level. From the driving position, this is dominated by the five classically round Porsche instruments, with the analogue rev counter in the middle: the exposed glass edges of the seveninch freeform displays emphasise their elegance and lightness. The adjacent new 10.9-inch PCM touchscreen display is flush-mounted, and the trim surface in front of the control unit serves as a hand rest to support fast and distractionfree operation. Underneath, there is a new switch unit with five buttons for direct access to important vehicle functions. These can be operated intuitively thanks to their exposed position. Depending on the range of features available, Wet Mode can be activated by pressing a button, for example, or the PASM damper can be made tighter. The central air vent is the transition to the centre console. This has a touch-sensitive high-gloss surface that corresponds to the PCM display.
Completely revamped interior The completely new interior is a milestone in the development of the 911. The new cockpit is a reminder of the virtues found even in the very first 911 generation: clarity and formal unambiguity. For example, the traditional analogue rev counter is now flanked by two frameless freeform displays that appear to float. Just as it did in the original 911, the new dashboard covers the entire width between two horizontal wing levels. In the middle, a control panel with five pushbuttons – styled in a classic toggle switch look – forms the transition to the centre console with integrated touchpad. An ignition key is no longer provided, as the new 911 features Keyless Go and a switch to
“It’s the 911’s suitability for daily use that puts it in a class of its own, That’s why we test the vehicle under all conditions, and in every type of weather and region. The vehicles’ drivetrain must function as flawlessly as its fluids, systems, operating processes and displays without faults.” Says Andreas Pröbstle.
The 911 Carrera S and 4S have a eightspeed dual-clutch transmission (PDK). All gears have new ratios: first gear is now shorter and eighth gear longer than before. This has made it possible to implement a longer final-drive ratio, thereby further reducing engine speeds in the upper gears.

The centrally located third brake light is integrated into the intake louvres – this is not visible when the rear spoiler is extended, so a brake light has also been incorporated into the spoiler.

The new 911 also brings a new generation of turbocharged flat-six engines. Advanced development has been primarily focused on further enhancing performance, whilst meeting the latest emissions standards by including a gasoline particulate filter (GPF). New, larger turbochargers with symmetrical layout and electrically controlled wastegate valves, a completely redesigned air cooling system, increased compression, as well as the newly implemented piezo injectors combine to attain engine improvements in all relevant areas: responsiveness, power, torque characteristic, efficiency and manoeuvrability. In addition to the 22 kW (30 PS) increase in power to 331 kW (450 PS) at 6,500/min, the engine offers 30 Nm higher torque, at 530 Nm between, 300rpm and 5,000 rpm.
The steel share of 63 percent in the previous model
The new six-cylinder engine features forced induction by an almost completely new intake system. Two mirrored turbochargers replace the previously used identical parts. In addition, the compressor and turbine wheels are now arranged in mirrored configuration in relation to the engine and therefore rotate in opposite directions. The diameter of the turbine wheels has been increased by three millimetres to 48 millimetres, while the 55-millimetre compressor wheel is now four millimetres larger. Thanks to a newly developed lightweight cast manifold and the adapted turbine housings, it has been possible to improve the air flow conditions on the turbine inflow and outflow. This contributes to increasing efficiency, responsiveness, torque and power. Control of the wastegate valves is also new. The valves are no longer adjusted by a vacuum but electrically, by using stepper motors: making boost pressure control faster and more precise overall. The maximum boost pressure of the 911 Carrera S with GPF is around 1.2 bar.
has now been more than halved to 30 percent, for example. Apart from the front and rear aprons, the outer skin is now made fully of aluminium. The new aluminium door design, reduces weight without negatively impacting stability or quality. The dynamic engine mounts – which have a new position better aligned to the engine’s centre of gravity – combine the advantages of both hard and soft engine mounts. They increase both driving comfort and driving stability thanks to electronic control. The PSM Sport mode is separately switchable and adjusts the stability system to an especially sporty mode, in which ambitious drivers can get even closer to the limit range of their vehicle in a safe environment. Inspired by motor sports, the Sport Response button offers the option of setting engine and transmission responsiveness to maximum performance for 20 seconds. The Porsche Track Precision app enables measurement of lap times and driving data on race tracks; using a smartphone, this data can be recorded and managed, as well as shared and compared with other drivers.
Sport Chrono Package with a new mode switch The Sport Chrono Package is the first choice when it comes to increasing driving performance and driving pleasure. The package includes the new mode switch with Sport Response button and PSM Sport Mode, dynamic engine mounts, as well as the stopwatch and the Porsche Track Precision app. Driving modes are selected by means of the new mode switch in the steering wheel, and the currently active mode is displayed in the instrument cluster.
In combination with the optional Sport Chrono Package, the new Wet Mode, which is standard for all 911 models, can be selected via the mode switch. The standard Sport function can then also be activated only by means of the mode switch.

The masterpiece from Zuffenhausen A legend is born at the International Motor Show Germany (IAA) in Frankfurt. It’s 12 September 1963: Porsche presents the successor to the 356 – 111,995 examples of the original 911 – initially called the 901 – are built.
In 1973, the G series 911 is launched with fundamental changes because of stricter USA safety specifications. This generation sees powerful turbo engines and a galvanised body in its top model, additionally launching a Cabriolet, Speedster and Targa versions. 198,496 Porsche 911 G Series are built by 1989.
Its successor the 964 comes to market in 1988. An advanced new 911 with all-wheel drive for the first time in the Carrera 4, with Porsche having originally designed it for the 959 high-performance sports car. Beneath the trusted bodywork – barely modified apart from integrated bumpers – 85 % of the 964 is made from newly designed parts. From October 1993, after 63,762 third-generation Porsche 911s are produced within six years.
The 993 is thefourth generation 911 considered as one of the most desirable editions. Porsche engineers devised a new light-alloy subframe with coil and wishbone suspension. Initially, Porsche offer it only as a Coupé and Cabriolet. The Targa debuts later with a glass roof, which can be descended under the rear window. The chapter of air-cooled engines ends in 1998 after the production of 68,881 vehicles.
In 1997 with the fifth generation of the 911, Porsche stops using air-cooled engines. The 996 represents the biggest departure in this classic’s family tree. In a state of financial upheaval, after 34 years the sports car manufacturer comprehensively realigns its icon with the 996 generation. The focus is on reducing production costs, by ensuring the greatest possible compatibility of parts with other series such as the new Boxster. Production doesn’t end until 2005. With 175,262 units sold, the 996 is the longunderestimated success model of the 911.
From 2004, the type 997 Porsche 911 customers can choose from a Coupé or Targa, Cabriolet or Speedster, rear- or allwheel drive, narrow or widened bodywork, with water-cooled naturally-aspirated and turbo engines, a GTS or the GT2, GT2 RS or GT3 sport versions, or either of two GT3 RS models. Including special models, the range has a total of 24 model variants. With 213,004 vehicles out there, the sixth generation of the 911 again hits a production record.
From 2011, the 991 embodies the highest development stage of the Porsche 911 to date. Tension-charged surfaces, and precisely defined details mean the 991 looks more powerful – an effect that is heightened by the wider track and the wheelbase that has been extended by ten centimetres. It is the first series to feature adaptive aerodynamics, technology from the 918 Spyder hybrid super sports car. The 991 generation of the 911 is the absolute best seller in the history of this icon. 217,930 of them were built by October 31, 2018.
The eighth-generation 911 is wider, more assertive, and more advanced. Wider wings arch over the large 20inch wheels at the front and 21-inch wheels at the rear. The interior is distinctive, with clear, straight lines and recessed instruments defining the dashboard. 911 models from the 1970s provided the inspiration here as well, with the new dashboard spanning the entire width between two horizontal wing levels, just as it did in the original 911. 21

Choose Thrilling. Enthusiasm. Thirst for adventure. The thrill of constantly experiencing something new. This is what sets us apart. What keeps us moving? What shapes us? The headwind on our journey through life.
We have proved that we will not be dictated to. Do not follow trends but prefer to write our own adventure stories; such as that of a compact SUV that inextricably combines sportiness, design and everyday practicality: the new Macan. This is also evident in our models, of course. The new standard taillight strip lends the Macan a confident appearance. The LED main headlights with four-point daytime running lights and the four-point brake lights are also standard and are not only visual highlights, but also clear features of Porsche DNA. This visual appeal also extends to the interior: in the Macan models, Porsche Communication Management (PCM) has a large 10.9˝ touchscreen display, providing access to Porsche Connect services – in full-HD. With its dynamic overall look, the Macan is unmistakably a sports car both functionally and visually. Its redesigned rear appears extremely powerful. Beneath the Porsche logo and like a bold line under its own signature is the new characteristic taillight strip, enhanced by the new four-point brake lights. The broad shoulders above its rear wheels are reminiscent of the 911 and a further visual demonstration of the road-hugging nature of the new Macan. Its flank is also typically Porsche. From this angle, every muscle appears to be energised – like a predator ready to pounce! Its roof line slopes to the rear

and a personalised start screen. The new, intuitive menu provides even faster access to the main functions.
just like a coupé, thereby creating a characteristic sports car contour with high aerodynamic quality. Our designers call this the Porsche flyline.
It is no longer just about mobility. We do not simply drive in order to travel from A to B. Along the way, there is much to discover. And to experience. Every second, we want to feel that our life is dynamic. On the road. And in our sports car. Always focusing on absolute performance. As we would expect of a genuine sports car.
You are seeking one experience after another - of course you want to maintain an overview. The sporty front seats convey a typical Macan feeling: you may sit high above the road, yet you are still closely connected to it. As a sports car manufacturer, we understand that a car and its driver must form a single entity. Ergo you do not simply sit in the Macan – but, thanks to its architecture, you are integrated into the vehicle.
But a Porsche delivers more than power alone. Such as the active all-wheel drive system Porsche Traction Management (PTM), for example: traction, safety, outstanding steering and exceptional handling – clear evidence of traditional Porsche engineering.
The three-dimensional arrangement of the controls lends the interior a cockpit character. The distance between the standard multifunction steering wheel and the PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) gear selector, as well as the main vehicle functions, is extremely short – via the ascending centre console, characteristic of sports cars. The ignition is on the left – as is typical of Porsche.
And what about comfort? Also in plentiful supply, of course, with all the sporty and control features. The optional air suspension guarantees a constant ride height – on any terrain. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) also actively and continuously adjusts damping force. for each individual wheel. The result? Increased comfort and sportiness – in all seats.
One highlight of which we are particularly proud is the new 10.9˝ touchscreen display in Porsche Communication Management (PCM). The new design boasts full-HD resolution

We would like to intoduce the team at the very front of the Porsche Centre Willoughby experience; Anny Joh and Linda Oliver.
What is your role at PCW? Together, we are responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all clients that walk through the PCW doors. Our focus is to ensure that our clients are delighted with their experience from the moment they enter our showroom till long after taking delivery of their Porsche. Anny also helps with translating for our Chinese clientele.
What appealed to you about working with the Porsche brand? Anny: Coming from outside the motor industry, I felt privileged to be working with such a prestigious brand. Even before starting at PCW, to me, Porsche as a brand represented effortless, elegant and timeless machines with great power. Linda: Believe it or not Porsche cars have always been my favourite car! Clearly beautiful & distinguished, so it was a no brainer when this opportunity arose. 24

What has been your experience working with the PCW team? Anny: Originally it was the PCW team that drew me to work with Porsche. It is hard to find a company where so many of the employees have been at the centre for 10+ years, the tight knit group made me feel very welcomed right away. Linda: There is an incredible team of genuine people here at PCW, having been my first job in the motor industry, I was welcomed warmly and that in itself speaks volumes as to what makes this place such a wonderful workplace.
Do you have a favourite model? Anny: 911 Targa 4 GTS, Racing Yellow would be the fun option but Guards Red would be a timeless choice. Linda: A Night Blue 911 Carrera 4S would do me just fine, timeless classy and sassy.
Describe your perfect day at Porsche Centre Willoughby? Anny: A perfect day at PCW is seeing customers happily picking up their new Porsches and filled with excitement for the drive. Also, catching up with customers returning for service always makes my day with their interesting stories.
"THERE IS SOMETHING VERY DELIGHTFUL WHEN YOU SEE THE EMOTION AND JOY ON PEOPLES FACES WHEN THEY F I N A L LY G E T S O M E T H I N G T HE Y H AV E WO R K ED V ERY H A R D F O R ."
Linda: There is something very delightful when you see the emotion and joy on peoples faces when they finally get something they have worked very hard for, so a perfect day is seeing happy customers on their delivery day.

How do you relax and unwind from a busy day? Anny: After a busy day, I ideally would treat myself to a nice meal, currently Korean or Mexican foods are my go to. Watch a movie and put my feet up. Linda: Living close to the water, and my love for the outdoors a walk or run along the coast is always on the agenda.
How did you find your way here? Anny: It was fate? I had wanted a change from my roles as a store manager in a retail store in Chatswood. Unsure of what industry to venture into, when the previous Client Relations Manager approached me in-store regarding a Client Relations role, I felt this was meant to be. Linda: I was ready for an industry shift from being in a different type of aesthetics for 15 years in the Skincare and Make-up industry, I heard about the position here through a mutual friend and it was great timing to start something new.
What has been a highlight during your time at PCW? Anny: There’s always something happening everyday at PCW. A highlight for me was connecting with PCW customers that are usually not in the Willoughby area on our 2017 Porsche In Motion activation event up in Newcastle where we also launched the 991.2 GT3. Linda: It was really lovely to be apart of The 70 year celebration last year, such a memorable event, having such an exhibition of stunning classic cars covering the showroom. As such seeing the network and family PCW has, was really quite special.
Tell us about your life outside of PCW? Anny: I love going into nature and take a breather from city living, trying new restaurants and eating good food is a must. I also find going to dance classes every so often at Sydney Dance Company is great relaxation for me. Linda: I grew up in a small town called Coonabarabran until I was 18, so my teenage years were spent learning to drive in a manual 1975 Corolla in a paddock. These days I tend to spend my time with my dear friends here in Sydney, enjoying the beautiful Northern beaches where I’ve resided for 17 years. Do love Camping, water-skiing, anything outdoors and adventurous in the warmer months to keep me busy. I’m a bit far from being on horseback so I’ve happily traded up for a few more horsepower here at PCW! 26

ACTIVATING LAUNCH CONTROL
IN YOUR PORSCHE 911 (MY12-) / BOXSTER /CAYMAN (MY13-) OR MACAN (MY15-) If your Porsche is optioned with the Sports Chrono Package (indicated by the presence of a stop watch/clock on your dashboard) you have access to the Launch Control function. Launch Control allows you to achieve the maximum rate of acceleration from a standing start, which in most models corresponds to a 0.2 second reduction in your 0-100km/h time. Given the intense rate of acceleration, Launch Control should only be used on race circuits or if road and traffic conditions permit. 27
Ensure your engine has reached operating temperature (i.e water and oil temperature should be approx. 90°C). Press the “SPORT PLUS” button on your centre console (“SPORT PLUS” should appear on the digital speedometer or on the steering wheel (depending on equipment) Press the brake with your left foot Quickly press the accelerator down fully (kick down activated) and hold it. The engine speed will level off and the display will feature “LAUNCH CONTROL ACTIVATED” Release the brake within a few seconds of the message appearing and keep the accelerator held down fully. HOLD ON!
