L’ORA DELLA VERITÀ
Dopo 6 weekend corsi nei principali autodromi italiani, l’Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth approda a Monza per l’ultimo, decisivo, atto. Prima del via sono ancora tre i piloti in lizza per la classifica assoluta: l’argentino Marcos Siebert, leader con 205 punti, il tedesco Mick Schumacher, a 180 punti, e il messicano Raul Guzman, a 169. Da assegnare anche il Rookie Trophy, ancora raggiungibile da quattro contendenti: l’estone Juri Vips, l’italiano Simone Cunati, l’americano Juan Correa e l’altro italiano Lorenzo Colombo.
Tre gare ancora, nel tempio della velocità, e tutto sarà deciso!
TIME FOR TRUTH
After 6 racing weekends on the major Italian race tracks, the Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth arrives in Monza for the last, decisive act. Before the start there are still three drivers in contention for first place: Argentina’s Marcos Siebert, leading with 205 points, then the German Mick Schumacher with 180 points, followed by the Mexican Raul Guzman with 169 points. The Rookie Trophy is also up for grabs, still achievable for four contenders: the Estonian Juri Vips, the Italian Simone Cunati, the American Juan Correa and the other Italian Lorenzo Colombo.
Three races left, in the temple of speed, and everything will be decided!

LA VITTORIA DI SIEBERT E IL SIGILLO DI VIPS
Il primo a mettersi in luce è il venezuelano Sebastian Fernandez, del Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport: sua la pole sia di Gara 1 sia di Gara 2. Tra i pretendenti al titolo, meglio Schumacher (in seconda fila in Gara 1 e in terza fila in Gara 2) di Siebert (11° in Gara 1 e 8° in Gara 2).
In Gara 1 tornano protagonisti i piloti in lizza per il titolo. Schumacher alla prima staccata va in testa e lì rimane fino al traguardo. Dietro, Siebert e Guzman rimontano, rispettivamente, da 11° a 2° e da 10° a 3°. Quarto, e primo tra i rookie, è Colombo, della Bhaitech, che esce vincitore dalla lunga battaglia con il cinese Ye Yifei. Alla luce di questi risultati, Guzman dice addio alla possibilità di vincere il campionato, rimasto un affare a due tra Siebert e Schumacher.
Il momento decisivo arriva all’11° giro di Gara 2, quando Schumacher è costretto a rientrare ai box con l’ala anteriore danneggiata. Siebert, protagonista di numerose bagarre, chiude 5°, aggiudicandosi matematicamente l’Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth 2016. Per quanto riguarda la gara, il poleman Fernandez lotta con Guzman e Vips ma mantiene la testa fino al termine davanti ai due rivali. Per i rookie, dietro a Fernandez, ci sono Vips e Rodriguez, ma la corsa al Rookie Trophy è ancora aperta.
Gara 3 mette il punto esclamativo sulla stagione salutando la vittoria di Vips, che si aggiudica la sua prima gara in F.4 e conquista il Rookie Trophy. Con lui sul podio sale Schumacher, bravissimo a rimontare dal 26° posto e a regalare così al Prema Power Team la vittoria nella classifica a squadre, davanti a Jenzer Motorsport. Terzo in Gara 3 è il guatemalteco Ian Rodriguez.
SIEBERT’S VICTORY AND THE SEAL OF THE VIPS
The first to show his skills was the Venezuelan Sebastian Fernandez, of Kfzteile24 Mücke Motorsport: in pole position for Race 1 and Race 2. Among the contenders for the title, Schumacher (in the second row in Race 1 and in the third row in Race 2) did better than Siebert (11th in Race 1 and 8th in Race 2).
The drivers in contention for the title became protagonists again in Race 1. At the first corner, Schumacher took the lead and stayed there until the finish. Behind him, Siebert and Guzman made a comeback, respectively, from 11th to 2nd and 10th to 3rd place. Fourth, and first among the rookies, was Colombo, of Bhaitech, who won after a long battle with the Chinese Ye Yifei. In the light of these results, Guzman no longer had the chance of winning the Championship, which became a two-horse race between Siebert and Schumacher.
The decisive moment arrived on lap 11 of Race 2, when Schumacher was forced to go into the pit with damaged front wing. Siebert, who has so often suffered numerous difficulties, finished 5th, mathematically clinching the 2016 Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth. As for the race, the poleman Fernandez battled with Guzman and Vips but stayed in the lead to the end before his two rivals. For the rookies, behind Fernandez came Vips and Rodriguez, but the race for the Rookie Trophy is still open.
Race 3 put an exclamation mark on the season, with the victory of Vips, who won his first race in F.4 and won the Rookie Trophy. With him on the podium was Schumacher, who did well to come back from 26th place, thereby giving the Prema Power Team victory in the team classification, ahead of Jenzer Motorsport. Guatemalan Ian Rodriguez finished third in Race 3.

Arrivati all’ultimo round dell’Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth 2016, si può davvero affermare che la Serie sia ormai diventata un punto di riferimento sempre più internazionale per il motorsport. Nel corso della stagione, infatti, i piloti (o la licenza con cui si sono iscritti) che hanno preso parte ai 7 weekend di gara sono stati di 24 nazionalità differenti, in rappresentanza di 3 continenti: Europa, America e Asia. Di seguito, le bandiere rappresentate: Italia, Germania, USA, Venezuela, Gran Bretagna, Brasile, Austria, Estonia, Olanda, Argentina, Svizzera, Cina, Romania, Giappone, Belgio, India, Messico, Russia, Guatemala, Francia, Repubblica Ceca, Qatar, Spagna e Canada. Sono 100% italiane, invece, le 6 piste su cui si è corso, compresi dei veri e propri “templi” dell’automobilismo mondiale. Nell’ordine: Misano, Adria, Imola, Mugello, Vallelunga e Monza.

THE WHOLE WORLD AT THE ITALIAN F.4 CHAMPIONSHIP
Having made it to the last round of the 2016 Italian F.4 Championship powered by Abarth, it can truly be said that the Series has become an increasingly international reference point in motorsport. Indeed, over the season, the drivers (or the licence with which they registered) who took part in the seven race weekends represented 24 different nationalities from three different continents: Europe, America and Asia. The flags represented were as follows: Italy, Germany, USA, Venezuela, Great Britain, Brazil, Austria, Estonia, Netherlands, Argentina, Switzerland, China, Romania, Japan, Belgium, India, Mexico, Russia, Guatemala, France, Czech Republic, Qatar, Spain and Canada. However, the 6 circuits that hosted the events are 100% Italian, including some bona fide “temples” in the world of motorsport. In order: Misano, Adria, Imola, Mugello, Vallelunga and Monza.
