News TRACTOR

The New Holland T7 Heavy Duty tractor has a redesigned cabin and comes with a Precision Land Management system

The redesigned New Holland T7 Heavy Duty tractor boasts new precision tech and a brand new cabin

The CentreView display is placed in the centre of the steering wheel, which New Holland says is an industry first

New horizons Set to be released Down Under in 2022, New Holland says its new flagship T7 Heavy Duty (HD) tractor is ideal for multi-purpose use – in the paddock and for other transport applications. Part of the 14-strong T7 range, the new HD model features New Holland’s next-gen Precision Land Management (PLM) intelligence system and a redesigned cabin that spokesperson Sean Lennon says helps deliver everything customers demanded. “We designed the brand-new Horizon Ultra cab to give them the best working experience with all the space, comfort, quality finish they asked for and the quietest cab on the market,” he says. “On top of this, the next-generation PLM Intelligence will make it easier for them to access our intelligent farming solutions which deliver substantial added value in terms of better decision making and accurate execution, boosting their efficiency and profitability.” Only two per cent of the parts in the Horizon Ultra cab have

been carried over from the previous T7 HD tractor, with the new cabin built longer and with more floor space for the operator and a passenger. Up to 30 litres of storage space has been added, plus a 12-litre cooled compartment, with a better climate control system, comfortable seating and new connectivity points including USB and Bluetooth. Visibility has also been improved through the redesign to the front and down to the rear hitch in addition to the 24 LED lights packaged around the tractor to provide increased visibility at night. New Holland agriculture brand president Carlo Lambro says the tractor’s new technologies mark a shift to a future built around interconnectivity and precision agriculture. “Servitisation and digitalisation are the gates to the future. They have made possible to integrate the physical presence at the wheel with an array of digital services that mean we can always be at our customer’s side, helping them to get the job done,” he says.

Customers will be able to register their New Holland machines using the MyNewHolland app, where the MyPLMConnect portal can help manage their fleet and farm data all in one location. MyPLMConnect can display dynamic information in real time from individual machines at work in the field to help operators make better decisions. The electronic architecture will be adopted across all the brand’s next-gen equipment. These technologies use the 10.4 inch (26.4cm) Intelliview display as well as what New Holland hails as an industryfirst, the CentreView display, which has been placed in the centre of the steering wheel to provide operators relevant information and data. Ergonomic customisable controls are located on the new armrest. New Holland is also set to introduce a new PLM Cygnus receiver, which helps to provide more accurate data on things such as vehicle position, considering terrain variations and helps acquire guidance lines quickly. New Holland dealers can also use the technology to perform remote diagnostics on machines using the New Holland Remote Assist tool. The New Holland Agriculture team is looking forward to releasing this product to the Australian and New Zealand market in 2022.
