How much do you value training? Professional Beauty’s Insider survey this month revealed some surprising statistics.
In the beauty sector, which includes hair and nails, 60 percent of participants interviewed said they would take on a new product line even if the company did not offer training. This contrasted dramatically with the spa sector, where every business questioned said they would refuse to consider taking on a new product line unless training was included as part of the package.
These results are a stark reminder of how far we have yet to go in some sectors of our industry when it comes to changing attitudes and beliefs about the importance of training to ensure the highest standards.
Although training may seem like an initial drain on resources – be it time or money – it should be viewed as a long term investment.
